Transfiguration 2-Under The Big Top The transfiguration classroom has been transformed into a work area (kind of like a wood works class). Where the normal benches would be there is now a work table with a medium size wood Box, matches, bits of leaves and cloth and sticks and a stool for you to sit on. To the side of the room is a box containing mini circus rings and balls and all other kind of circus related decor. Professor Bellaire has kindly put a list of spells on the board that will help you to accomplish the task at hand. Circo Anulum- Turns wooden box to circus ring wand movement: keep wrist steady while moving hand in a circular motion then point bruchus puga-turns beetles to button wand movement: point steady wand at object folium induant- turns leaf to vest wand movement: light tap on the object Draconifors-rocks to dragon wand movement: Slash wand at target The Professor is as usual waiting by her desk (which contains a box of rocks interestingly enough). You know the routine, come in early and wait to be seated and ENSURE that your uniform is immaculate. |
Tidy as usual, West had his bag over one shoulder as he arrived in class. This was... different? He took a spot at a work bench and unpacked his bag... namely, his gargoyle in its box. He also had his wand obviously, and if he needed it quill and parchment, but he left that in his bag for now and put that on the floor under the bench. "Hello professor Bellaire." West said quietly but politely. Aaaaand... he just stood there and waited. No sitting or anything. |
Minerva walked quickly to transfiguration, she wasn't sure why she was hurrying to get there so much. It was like someone had been mentally telling her to get there as fast as possible. Right before entering she checked her robes over to make sure they were neat and clean. A habit she started back in charms when Bellaire had started teaching. As she made her way into class she took in the difference, but kind of knew why it was like this. They were still practicing with their little gargoyles, so why not have a bigger area to work. Smiling at Professor Bellaire, "Hello Professor, how are you today?" As she went to a typical front row spot she turned and stayed standing. Knowing not to sit before being told, but there was a thought in her head, "Professor, great job at the Staff vs. Student match. I didn't realize you were a beater." It was neat to know which staff did her position, she loved being a beater |
Yaaaay, transfiguration with his favourite professor. Theo cheerfully made his way into the classroom and stood behind a desk at the very front. "Hi, Professor Bellaire." He said as he stood up straight. She looked rather lovely today, he noticed. But actually, she always did. He glanced at the board and sighed a little because he didn't recognize any of those spells. Grrrrrrrreat. That meant learning. |

Sophia beamed at Theo as he entered the classroom."Morning Mr.Kingley." If he could only manage to at least master one spell today then he'd get a rock. She would see to it, that he got a rock. "Good morning Mr.Odessa." Quote:
She started fixing the already fixed items on her desk when her look grew dark and she looked up at the girl. Sophia needed to remind herself that this girl right here wa snot the biter..no need to get upset. "Thank you." NO more mention of the match. And how did she forget to get a cage for Miss Fischer..or a muzzle. |
The only time Kat would ever be super duper conscious of her appearance is when it was Transfiguration class. She made it a routine to ALWAYS check herself at that mirror in one of these floors before going here. The Slytherin knew that Professor Bellaire was really particular about her students' appearance and neatness, and Kat totally didn't want to make a bad impression. She might hold it against herself forever, you know. She entered the classroom, all tidy and stuff. Yep, she took her time in front of the mirror in between classes. It was important, apparently. "Good morning, Professor Bellaire," Kat greeted the woman with a nod and a small smile. Then she made her way to one of the seats and stood right over there. She totally didn't forget to bring the gargoyle. It was right inside her box. Then... yeah, she was going to wait for the others now. |
Sarah was nervous as usual for this lesson and as usal it was about her appearance. Not that she was vain, in fact Sarah was the furthest from vain, yet now she had a teacher who was padantic about those kind of things. She made sure all was in order ebfore entering. She walked over to a desk and stood behind it, "hello professor" she chirped. Despite the fustration of getting ready, Sarah was always in a good mood in the morning. Then she looked at the board and took it all in. She was eager to learn the draconifors spell, she had just practiced the Lapifors Spell spell over the weekend and those two were quite similar, or so she had read. |
In chipper spirits, Dylan entered the Transfiguration classroom, tossing out grins here and there. Why not? He was rather pleased with himself at the moment...and no good mood should be wasted. Especially not one of his...seeing as they were rare these days. As was the case every other day, the Slytherin's appearance was clean and tidy. He knew how Professor Bellaire felt about messy. No need to get the woman fired up..."It's nice to see you, Professor." The greeting was offered in an even, respectful tone... ...and then he stood by his desk, chilling...waiting for the start of class like everyone else. His eyes naturally searching for someone... |
Okay, uniform in order? Check. Tie straight? Check. Shoes polished? Check. Not one hair out of place? Check. Great, she was now allowed to enter class. Sky still didn't quite understand what Bellaire's deal was with their appearance, but she really didn't want to irritate the woman either. So, it was with all those things in order that she found herself a seat. Without sitting, of course. "Hello, Professor Bellaire." Yep, good to go. |
Ella smiled as she entered the Transfiguration classroom, green eyes taking in the changes. It looked cool in here, really cool. Seemed like they'd be working with their gargoyles again, yeah? Or at least be creating their little circus environments? Neat-o "Hello Professor." She greeted cheerfully, giving the woman a smile before heading to an empty seat and standing by it. All ready here. |
Jory took in the new setting of the Transfiguration Classroom when he got there. Seemed they were done with the gargoyle? For now at least. He quickly straightened his tie and made sure his uniform looked proper. "Good day, Professor Bellaire,'' he said to the woman. Jory went over to one of the stools and stood next to it, taking in the unfamiliar spells on the board. |
Wade got up earlier than usual, since his next Transfiguration class was starting. He had the time to make himself presentable, straightened tie and uniform before he arrived. Oh yeah, he also made sure to bring the box containing the gargoyle with him. "Hello, Professor Bellaire." He greeted before standing by one of the seats. |
Eliza entered the room and eyed the wood pieces everywhere. It almost looked like the ancient runes workshop, which was sadly gone this year. Maybe some of that wood had to be used for this lesson. Or, maybe it was just a coincidence. As she went forward to find a stool, she nodded politely at the professor. "Good day, Professor Bellaire." As usual, Eliza's robes were clean. Especially clean even, now that she knew so many different ways to clean things, thanks to the state of the castle and all of their related lessons. She went over towards a stool and stood next to it. |
Lex was in the middle of adjusting her tie when she walked into the immaculate but different classroom. Lowering her hands now that she was all neat and orderly she took in the whole room. Oooooooo!!! Suddenly she was reminded of the fact that they'd be putting on a mini circus at the end of the term. Looking at the spells on the board got her doubly excited and there might have been a bounce in her step now as she headed to her desk--work table. "Good day Professor!!" BEAM. Draaaagons. EEeeeep! |
Time to go to Transfiguration. Yeah, this was the class with the pretty Professor who had self-image problems and did NOT want to be told that she looked nice. Honestly, she needed some therapy or a boyfriend or something because it was off putting that a woman did not like to be told that she looked nice. Pfft. Did the school offer those kind of services? Anyway... He walked into the classroom, scanned it, saw it looked like another crazy set up, didn't care and approached his Professor, "Hello Professor." Then he moved to go and sit in his seat, but remembered she was also weird about sitting. So he stood. Jeez, crazy lot. |
Having taken a little extra care into fixing his hair, Alec finally made his way along the Transfiguration corridor and towards the open door of the classroom. Because they had to look immaculate, yeah? And that included making sure your hair was in good condition too. ... Something... like that. Also, was he late or...? Readjusting his grip on his bag, Alec walked into the classroom and... blinked. ... Okay. This... sort of reminded him of the Ancient Runes workshop. His grey-blue eyes scanned the room quickly before focusing on the Professor. "Hello Professor!" The sixteen year old grinned at Bellaire before moving over towards an empty stool right near a certain blonde. GRIN. He placed his box with the gargoyle in it down onto the table and stood there, behind his stool. And the spells on the board? They weren't going to be hard, right? |
Kace heard he had to be dressed in his best for this lesson. As he made his way to the transfiguration room, he saw the professor sitting at her desk. Kace was huffing and puffing hoping he wouldn't be late. He looked around and noticed he was on time. Kace smiled to the professor, "Hello Professor Bellaire!" Then he swung his bag over his shoulder and went to find a seat. He hoped he didn't look too sweaty after he ran all the way from the common room to the classroom. He got out his quill and notebook and saw the board. Those seemed hard. But Kace was sure the professor would explain them. The lesson looked interesting from what he read.... |
Laura walked into the classroom and smiled, she couldn't wait for this lesson, even if she wasn't very good at it. "Good day Professor." Laura was going to have loads of fun. "How are you today?" |
Nigel walked into the class room ready for some more work on his gargoyles or what they were. He was of course dressed perfectly and lint free. "Hello Professor Bellaire" Nigel then looked at the board and saw a list of spells. This was looking to turn into a fun class. Nigel liked practicing magic and its theory. But the practical part more. He walked over to a free desk and stood at its side waiting to be seated. Like normal. |
Typically, Mo didn't have any trouble standing at his desk and waiting for the professor to let them take a seat. Today, however, as Mo entered the room and took a spot next to his desk, he felt all itchy about it. Like he didn't want to sit or stand or anything. Hopefully, they'd be able to get right to work soon. "Good day, Professor," Mo offered to the woman politely. His hand strayed briefly to his tie, but he knew it looked fine. He'd checked it before class and EVERYTHING. |
Ethan walked into the classroom, hoping for a good lesson. He looked at the board. A circus? At least they were learning some cool spells. "Good day, Professor Bellaire." He remembered not to sit down immediately this time. He waited by a desk for further instructions. |
Beezus took a fairly deep breath as she stopped at the door of the Transfiguration classroom to collect herself. It was Professor Bellaire time. Yay or nay? She wasn't sure. But she did love this subject so even if the woman teaching it would tell her to shut her mouth, the Ravenclaw was still going to go inside. But not before she smooth out her skirt, adjust her tie, tuck her hair in neat places and all that. After all that, she took another breath and stepped in. ...............Oh, okay. This was new. Wood? Circus? And a board with unfamiliar spells. It sure was interesting, not to mention their Professor with a box of rocks. Aheem. "Good day, Professor Bellaire." Beezus said with a slight bow as she passed by the woman's desk before walking over to a work bench. She set her bag on the stool and waited, standing straight as she fiddled with the sleeves of her robes. |
Mack walked into the transfiguration room and gasped.. this was not the room she left after the last lesson well this was different... She slowly entered, looking around and taking in the room in detail. A big top, so we were now part of a muggle circus, she wasn't fond of the circus that her grandfather had drug her to so that she could see that muggles did not live better than they. Hmmm wood working? Circus? Fabric? Sigh they were probably doing more things to help with the current situation. Of course. They were told that they would be holding a circus with all they learned this term. This caused the young Gryffindor's spirits to fall even farther. She didn't want to be part of a circus. Reading the board with the new spells on it still wasn't helping. SHe loved learning new spells but these were for the circus and she was still wondering if she could find away out of participating. Of course she couldn't Transfiguration was mandatory. "Hello Professor" the girl was able to get out, not in the most convincing tone, but it was a greeting nonetheless. She walked towards one of the stations and stood, waiting on further instructions from the professor. |
Oh. Transfiguration. Sixth floor. From the grounds... ...we're so tired. We want to sit. BUT WE CAN'T. "Hello, Professor Bellaire," BEAM. What on Earth was that on the board? Why did Bellaire manage to surprise them at every class? You know, the last time there was a formula that was better suited for Astrophysics than anything else. Seriously, though, Lottie made her way to a...seat?...and stood beside it. Her uniform was in super excellent condition and clean, she was, however, super tired and wanted to take a seaaaaat, so, hurry up, Bellaire. |
She sort of felt different, but Kendall knew that didn't matter when it came to Transfiguration with Professor Bellaire. At least she'd gotten the aqua streak out of her hair, returning it to the usual pink-streaked auburn. Therefore there shouldn't be any questions, and she'd even decided to pull her hair back into a neat braid, just to be extra-sure that she wouldn't look messy. Boots were tied properly, skirt was straight, shirt not wrinkled and tucked in underneath her sweater, tie was straight too, and her robes over all. She'd also made double sure that Dagda was inside her school bag, safely inside his box. The little gargoyle had been out on her bedside table in the dorm for a long time while she'd been practicing tricks and teasing Accio, but now she wanted to be sure she had him for class. Therefore, it was a particularly nice and tidy Kendall who walked inside the classroom not long after Lottie, and she made her way to a table quietly. She could investigate the new surroundings once she was at her place, just so she didn't keep anyone waiting. "Good morning, Professor Bellaire," she said, giving the woman a smile once she was standing straight next to her chosen table and then examining the spells written on the board. Apparently they weren't focusing on their gargoyles as much today, but the spells still seemed cool. Plus, she was still ready in case. That way she could go back to thinking about other things as she waited for the lesson to start. |
Tommy always thought that the word transfiguration was extremely weird and way too long. Usually when saying the word he say Trans-a-what? because he always forgot the word. But anyway, his sister had said when she was at school transfiguration was the most amazing subject ever. He didn't really trust his sister but he gave it a go. Maybe it wouldn't be boring? Unlikely but at least he would be doing something. He walked silently into the class room and just stood there next to some people. He checked his pocket to see if he hadn't forgotten his wand like most days and luckily remembered it. He looked around the room to see where the professor was. He had never seen her in his life. But then again he was new and no one knew him. He decided to actually be polite. He was going to say hello. But what what was the professors name again? He forgot. "Hi Professor." Tommy kindly said to the lady. |
sorry for the delay guys..super sick meh meh SPOILER!!: you pretties She really enjoyed it when they just streamed in like that looking neat and tidy and pleasant so early in the morning. It was enough to put her in a good mood. Which it did. So that you class. "Good morning everyone. You may take your seats." And after that the door to the transfiguration classroom snapped shut and the little click after was telling enough that she also locked it. If anyone was late for her class they would have to stay out. Or they could knock and face her wrath..whichever. "Alright everyone, you'll notice that your desks have been transformed into a work space for you to continue your little project." She paused to inspect the students some more..did she just see someone's lip moving while she was speaking? Her eyes narrowed. NO spoiling the good mood. She went on.."Eyes on the board everyone.." Tap Tap."These are the approved spells for the morning. I am hoping that everyone will be able to get through with all of them to give their presentation an extra kick, but really the main spell we'll be focusing on is Circo Anulum, which is a spell that turns wooden box to circus ring. The wand movement is a circular motion then a point..like so.." She performed the motion on her own box which transformed into a lovely bright purple and green circus tent." Be mindful of keeping your wrist firm. Loose wrists just won't do. Remember the formula." Pause. "Once you have successfully completed this spell, you can take accessories for the circus from the box in the corner to furnish your tent, and if you really want to show off.." She smirked..."you may use the undetectable expansion charm to fix more items for extra credit. After completing that you may move on to the others, which are very simple spells my seven year old could perform." Or even her three year old grandson....err exaggeration of course. "I'm sure the ladies will be particularly interested in getting their gargoyles dressed." "I'll be taking only questions to clarify in the case you're confused." This wasn't a theory class it was a practical. |
Lex was finding it a bit hard to stand still, bouncing ever so slightly on the balls of her feet until finally they were given the go ahead to take their seats at which point she plopped down with a wide grin. Today they'd probably get to play with their gargoyles some more! He'd been great fun the last time she animated him, quite the obedient little thing. She leaned forward, demonstrating just how much attention she was paying to the Professor. Circo Anulum. Not something she'd run into before now. Firm wrist, no flicking, she could do that. After the Professor gave the last of her instructions it was time to get to practising. The thought of casting that undetectable extension charm crossed her mind but she'd work on this stuff first. For now, she'd focus on making sure the tent actually work. Lex removed the gargoyle and rested it to the side of the desk. "Circo Anulum!"....Nothing. "Circo Anulum!!" ... .......STILL nothing. See, this was why she preferred hexes and the like. Those always worked. She was sure the intent was there...just...maybe the visualizing could use more work? Alright. Focus Lex. Think prettiful and bluuue. "Circo Anulum!" Lex let out a little squeal, yeah it worked this time, fine, whatever but IT WAS BLUE and shiny and and and eeeeeep!! |
Jory waited impatiently as more students filed in. He could not wait to get started, trying out those spells. Finally, they were given the green light to sit. He did so and listened keenly as Professor Bellaire spoke. Confirmation on the circus theme! Jory liked circuses. He scrawled some notes on the first spell before he began to practice. "Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum...'' The seventh year thought about the colour he would want his circus ring to be. "Maybe a blend of yellow and orange?'' he thought as he straightened the box in from of him. He would go with that. This called for much concentration. "Circo Anulum!'' Circular motion and a firm point of the wand. Nothing. The box lay there looking just the same. Jory concentrated harder. "Circo Anulum!'' Once again, a wand movement of circular motion and a firm point. The box erupted into a bright orange and yellow colour! "Cool!'' |
Oh good. They could finally sit down so she did... although Kat would never understand why they had to stand up while waiting for everyone. The cleanliness part of it was pretty understandable, but standing up? It was going to give Kat's legs an aching feeling. So uhm yes... firm wrist. Circular movement and then a point. Alright she can do that but she would do some practising with the movement first, because it was sort of complicating. Circle... point. CIRCLE... POINT. Kat tried her best to keep the her wrist as firm as she could. What a struggle. Let's do this. "Circo Anulum!" Kat said while doing the hand movement. Uhm... nothing. This was harder than expected. Maybe she should focus a little bit more? They did learn in their previous lesson the variables in transfiguration. Intent and stuff. Okay... try again, yeah? "Circo Anulum!" Still nothing. C'mon, box, you should turn into a circus ring NOW. "Cir-co Ah-nu-lum..." So maybe she could do this again. Uhm yeah. AGAIN! More intent and focus and all those variables. "Circo Anulum!" Firm wrist, circle and point. Then the box turned into a circus ring. Awesome. Maybe she should place the undetectable extension charm on it like what she did to her slingbag. Would make things easier, yep. |
The second year Slytherin sat when the professor told her that they needed to sit and nodded to her when she greeted the class. But… The young girl frowned when the professor locked the door and she wondered what would happen with the students who were late for this class, not that Sonea was worried about them, she only was curious because she wanted to know what would happen with HER when she would be late for class… Sonea had just been staring at the changes the professor had made in the classroom when the professor told the class to look at the school board. Startled Sonea looked up and glanced quickly at the professor and back to the board and read what was written on it. And… she stared again at the professor, relived. She had been afraid that this lesson would be boring and that she only needed to learn from a textbook, but this was better! She was not sure if the spell would work immediately, and to be honest, she would be VERY surprised if it would work for the first time, but she wanted to try it! The young girl pointed her wand at the box in front of her and imitated to wand movement the professor had made, she concentrated REALLY hard on the spell pink, let it be pink… and spoke the spell, “Circo Anulum” and… Something happened! The box… only colored pink but didn’t transform… |
SPOILER!!: Le Prof Once Kace heard the professor come in, he knew it was time to get working. He liked the practical lessons because he liked to dive in and work hands on with the spells. He heard they will mostly be working on Circo Anulum. He saw what the professor was doing and he stood there in awe. He loved the bright purple and green circus tent. It was so cool! He couldn't wait to try it. Alright so he was going to practice saying the spell first. He saw it on the board and tried to pronounce it. "Cir-co An-ul-um.......Cir-co Ah-nu-lum...Cir-co Ah-nu-lum..." he was getting the hang of it. Then he wanted to practice the wand movements. The movement was a circular motion then a point. She mentioned a lose wrist will not work. He did a circular motion with a point, then said the spell "Circo Anulum" just for practice. He saw his wooden box and was ready to try it. He took a deep breath and did his first trail. He pointed his wand at the box, did the circular motion and said "Circo Anulum!" with a point but...nothing happened. Hmm...maybe his wrist was not firm enough. He would try again. |
He quickly sat down when they were finally instructed to sit and Daichi's eyes followed the Professor as she began to explain the activity for today. Make circus equipment? Sounded like a fun thing to do, at least it was way better than cleaning. When the instructions were done, Daichi looked at the box and grabbed his wand. "Circo Anulum" He said as he made a circular motion followed by a point to the box and tried to visualize the box transfigurating in to a circus ring, an orange one. The box shaped instantly but it still had the brownish color of a box and it wasn't a ring. It was more like a ball... "Finite" he waved and the box turned back to how it was before. Taking a deep breath, the Slytherin stopped for a second to listen to what the Professor was saying and he became a liiiitle uncomfortable when she said that the GIRLS would probably enjoy making clothes for their gargoyles. Ehm...was he weird when he thought that HE would think that was an great idea too? ...eeh...he'd just... leave those thoughts to himself, yes. "Circo Anulum!" he tried again as he used the same wand motion as instructed. A firm circular motion from his wrist and a point to the box. Again, it transformed and the Slytherin grinned when suddenly, an orange ring was before his eyes. |
Ethan slid into his seat as Bellaire's prompting and glanced first at his transformed desk then at the board. New spells? Ethan was always on the fence about learning new spells, depending on their usefulness. On the one hand, it was nice to learn something he hadn't, especially if it was something he could use or would need. But on the other hand, he sometimes struggled with new spells especially if they were more advanced, seeming to need more practice than the average student.. especially average seventh year. Spellwork wasn't always his forte.. at least it had been that way in the past and he kept his mind stuck in that thought. He wasn't completely sure how useful these spells would be beyond this circus performance they were supposed to be putting on with their gargoyles, but at least his mind was put to ease about the difficulty of the spells. Ethan jotted down notes from the board into his journal, then set about practicing the first spell. A firm, tight circle with the wrist.. he practiced the wand movement several times. Once he felt he had that down well enough, he moved on to practicing the incantation. "Cir-co An-u-lum.. Cir-co An-u-lum.. Circo Anulum.." Ethan practiced reciting the incantation a few times, trying to wrap his mouth around the new words. Once he figured he knew the words well enough, he picked up his wand and pointed it at the wooden box on his table. "Circo Anulum!" he commanded as he flicked his wand with a tight circular movement of his wrist. It was a slow transformation, but Ethan was rather pleased to see his box turn into a rounded, red and white striped circus ring. Not bad. |
Once the professor gave the word, Ethan sank into his chair. He decided he'd better get started on the spell. Pulling the box towards him, he practiced moving his wand the right way. "Circo Anulum", "Circo Anulum", he said. Feeling confident, he visualized a circus tent popping up before him, "Circo Anulum!", he said. The box remained the same. Maybe it worked better if you picked colors. His favorite color was light green but he was thinking of yellow and blue mix. Visualizing a colorful circus tent this time and remembering not to flick his wrist, "Circo Anulum!" The tent was larger than he had imagined, plenty of room to fill it with accessories. He couldn't wait to use the other spells. |
post 1 Turning a wooden box into a circus ring? Why so random? Theo pulled out his wand and then remembered that he needed to get his gargoyle out, too. OH he got it. Were they making a space for their gargoyles to do their tricks? Very awesome indeed. Theo wasn't sure if he wanted the whole class to watch, though. PRESSURE meant rubbish spellwork, usually. He looked at the board and sighed at the spell. Circo Anulum. Why were spells always such mouthfuls? Theo pointed his wand at his wooden box with a very firm wrist, then cleared his throat. How hard could it be? Alexa Cambridge just did it over there, he noticed. He could totally do it, too. "Circo Anulumum." He judged his handiwork expectantly but.... nope. "Circo Anumlulum." His wand let out a puff of exhausted smoke but nothing happened still. How embarrassing... Theo did kind of want to raise his hand to request some individual help from Professor Bellaire, but he also didn't want to look rubbish at magic in front of her. "Circo Alumnum!" GAH. |
Nigel could follow the instructions all right. He sat down and listened to the spells they were going to be using for today's class. Hmm. Seems like an awesome spell. Nigel wanted to practice it and the extra credit part of it. He was not really interested in the circus part. But the magic was interesting to Nigel. He could care less about showing off his gargoyle to people. Unless he gets paid for it. Then that changes everything. Nigel liked money. HE started to mutter the spell's incantation under his breath. Circo Anulum. Well that is easy to remember. Nigel pointed his wand at the wooden box waiting anticipating it turning into a circus ring. "Circo Anulum" .Nigel cast and watched as the box transformed into a ring. It was awesome. |
It was time to try the spell again..... He was gonna do this! He had the wand movement down and how to say the spell down. All he had to do was keep his wrist firm and concentrate. He saw his wooden box and he had to change it to a circus tent. It all seemed easy enough. He saw the board and copied down all the spells he would need after he changed the wooden box to the tent. SPOILER!!: Notebook He pointed his wand at the wooden box, kept his wrist firm and said the spell "Circo Anulum!" with a circle motion and point and then the box TURNED into a white circus ring with green stripes. He did have the color green on the mind. O__O. He did it! He was smiling and was glad he finally got the hang of it. He was happy and hopefully the professor saw his progress. He saw the other spells and knew he would take a stab at them. |
Okay so transfiguration didn't seem that bad. Well. it was at least better than the name so that was a relief. What did he have to do again though? Tommy tried to concentrate beck to when the professor was talking. He couldn't really remember so he just looked at what everyone else was doing. And they were apparently turning wooden boxes into circus rings. What even were circus rings? He had to find out so he tried the spell. "Circo Anu-" Wait what was the spell again? He looked at everyone else and the were saying circo anulum. "Circo Anulum!" He cast. Nothing that interesting happened so he gave another go at it. "Circo Anulum!" And there he did it. The circus ring wasn't too sparky but he might not think transfiguration is the worst subject ever. |
post 2 OKAY... he had to look at the board and analyze the incantation completely. Since things were just going NOWHERE so far. Theo squinted his eyes and tapped his wand against his chin as he read the two horrible words. "Cir-co." He began, "An-u-lum." Ohhhhh... he'd been saying it wrong. He'd obviously made it a lot more complicated than it actually was. Theo turned back to his wooden box and held his wand FIRMLY again. "Circo Anulum!" "Circo Anulum!" Ughhh.... seriously? "Circo Anulum!" He raised his voice and whoooooosh, the wooden box twitched a little bit, then transformed into a lovely PINK (?) circus ring. Theo beamed at himself, then beamed at Professor Bellaire. Pink, though... really? |
Laura decided that she was going to have loads of fun with "Circo Anulu!" Laura wasn't sure if she was pronouncing it right and so she continued to practice the spell. "Circo Anulum!" Laura was sure that she knew it which was awesome because she wasn't normally good at spells. "Circo Anulum!" Laura was really happy. "Circo Anulum" Laura did a little jig, she was happy that she knew what she was doing. |
Cool, they could sit now. Wade had read the board a few times while waiting before he sat. More spells, great. He made sure to jot them down, whilst silently pronouncing them just to get it off his tongue perfectly. Cir-co.. Ah-nu--lum.. Cir-co.. Ah-nulum.. Cir-co..Anulum.. Circo.. Anulum.. Fine. He also practiced the circular and point flexing movement with his quill afterward. Got it. Wade then moved the box closer in front of him. Hmm, a dark indigo and black would be cool colours for the rings. Taking out his wand, he mimicked the instructed movement, a steady wrist as it flexed in a circular motion.. then pointing it straight at the box. "Circo Anulum." Keeping the intention and focus straight, Wade watched as the box transformed into the dark indigo and black coloured ring he had wanted. Awesome. |
Ella sat down and focused her attention on Professor Bellaire, interested to see what they'd be doing today. She figured they'd be making the circus ring but was more excited about all the decorating and accessorizing of the gargoyles. That sounded kind of fun, okay? Grin. First spell up, Circo Anulum. Accompanied with a circular motion and a point using a firm wrist. Didn't seem too impossible or anything. The blonde watched her classmates before she did anything else, interested in how they were approaching the spell. It seemed the the firm wrist thing really was extremely important and she was also interested to see how different some of the rings looked. Cool rings were cool and colorful too. When she was ready, Ella began with the incantation. "Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum...Circo Anulum..." It was sort of hard to say and she felt clumsy pronouncing the anulum bit but she had it down for the most part. She just need to see how it all panned out. Next she practiced the motion. Circularrrrrrr motion and point. Circularrrrr motion and point. Firm wrist too. She'd need to remember that. Placing her box right in front of her, the blonde tilted her head and eyed it. "Alright you box, ready to be a circus ring?" Hmm? |
Question Now that he could sit... Mo didn't really want to stay there. Instead, he hopped right back out of his seat as soon as possible and reached for the bag where his gargoyle was hiding. Gargoyle!face was coming everywhere with Mo so they could continue to learn tricks and things together. The gargoyle went on the desk, and then Mo wandered off to retrieve a box. SO THEN. Ahem. First, to practice the spell. Trying to keep his wrist straight, Mo drew circle after circle, only adding a jab at the end when the motion felt smooth and sort of natural. Lookit this. Mo had just invented the circular exclamation point! The incantation wasn't too too hard. Circo Anulum. Cir-co An-oo-lum. Jabjabjab. Mo turned on the box where it sat next to his gargoyle. "Um, excuse me, Professor? Do we just think about the colors we'd like the tent to be, or are they always the same?" |
Uhhh, Sophie shouldn't have stayed up so late the other night practising spells.... she was really tired now. But there was a new spell and she wanted to learn! She just didn't feel like talking much... or asking questions. So onto practise. Too bad she was too tired to try non-verbals that day. "Circo Anulum" And circular motion. Easy. She did the motion a few times and repeated the spell another couple of times in her head. "Cir--" She stopped midspell because she just realised she hadn't thought about the colours or anything for her circus ring. Meehh. Effort. But she should do it. Hmmm.... green and yellow, because y'know. Slytherpuff and all. Teehee. ""Circo Anulum! She said a bit more firmly, waving her wand in the steady circular motion with a firm wrist like professor Bellaire had told them. Oooooooohh, look at that! The wooden box... was a bit oval now. Well, it was almost a ring thing, but it didn't look quite perfectly round, which wasn't Sophie's intention, to be honest. "Reverto." She'd try again. Not oval ring this time! "Circo Anulum!" Aaaand.... ooo! That was a little better! And heeeeh, nice colours! Green and yellow looked really nice together for some... reason. Teehee. |
Kat didn't want to bother her circus ring. It was already right and besides, who wanted to keep a really firm wrist anyway? Trying to keep it the same way was hard enough. But what bothered her was... the colour. Who decided to colour her circus ring orange? It looked ugly and washed out. She frowned and sighed. Yeah, she was changing that. It better not be ORANGE the next time she did it. More focus, intent, and concentration. Well that was kinda like the same thing but well, they were somehow variables in transfiguration. "Reverto." Back to a box. SIGHS. She can do it. "Circo Anulum!" Kat said, maintaining the firm wrist with the circular movement and the point. She was leaning towards an emerald coloured circus ring. Then... tada! The box turned into the circus ring she had expected, with the emerald green colour. Awesome... now could she charm it with the undetectable expansion charm now? She'll take that as a yes. "Magnus Centrum!" Kat said and tapped the circus ring and... yep. It expanded in the inside. Kat tried sticking her hand inside it and it fits. Accessories now, yeah? |
Minerva listened as Professor Bellaire gave the instructions. She wasn't surprised at what they were doing, since Bellaire had mentioned it in the last class. Taking out her parchment Minerva jotted the spells down that they would be using. She didn't want to forget them and she wanted them for outside classroom practice. Now it was time to start. Working with her wand she did the circles to make sure her wrist was firm. Now she pulled the box out and placed on the work station. Making sure the gargoyle was off to the side so that he wasn't in the way. Minerva started doing the circular motion over the box, "Circo..." Wait what was the second word. Minerva tried to think, not wanting to look unless she had to. Come on Min this was a transfiguration spell, something you were very good at. Shaking her head she finally glanced at the parchment, "Circo Anulum" doing the circular motion over top the box. She watched as the box turned into the circus ring. Smiling she shrugged, might not be able to remember the words, but at least she could do the spells. |
Pulling her gargoyle out of her backpack, Sky placed it on the corner of her workspace. That done, she jotted down the few notes they had been given along with the spells from the board. Moving on, she practiced saying the spell a few times (after all, it seemed complicated). "Circo An-u-lum. Ci-rco An-u-lum. Circo Anulum. Circo Anulum." Yep had it. Now it was time to actually use it. Keeping her wrist firm, she moved her wand in a circular motion, then pointed at her box. "Circo Anulum." The box became a rather festive looking green and silver affair. Now, how did she want to decorate and did she want to use an extension charm........? |
Eyes were on the box. Squinting slightly too because of concentration reasons. She was visualizing the box as a circus ring, DUH. "Circo Anulum!" And Ella made the circular motion and pointed. Yup. She pointed that wand right at the box and then it changed. It was still a box, but more circular looking now. Still not very circus ring-like at all, though. FROWN. Maybe her wrist hadn't been firm enough? Maybe. "Reverto." Tightening her wrist considerably, the blonde eyed the box again and said clearly, "Circo Anulum!" And with a circular motion and a point, the box changed again. BEAM! This time the box was changed completely into a circus ring. A real proper looking circus ring that was red with yellow stars. Proud Ella was really proud of this, okay? Really proud. What's next again? |
Even though she hadn't animated her gargoyle as yet she still set it at the front of her new circus ring/tent thing. "Just sit there and watch that while I go get us some stuff." That shouldn't have been hard. Everyone was much too busy with their own tent to really be concerned with hers in the first place. Besides, she seemed to be the only one completely taken in by the colour blue. It was a pity really, but not right now. She took one last look at both before making her way over to the accessories she would need for her ring. Let's see...the ball would be good...but there were none she particularly liked. Yellows and purples and greens and oranges. There was a blue but someone had gotten to it before she did. If they got to keep these things too she'd make it a point of duty to change the colour of the one she chose, which happened to be a faded orange because why not?? Okay, what else would she need...? Oh! Hoops!! Yes those were good. She grabbed three of those and hung them on her neck to keep her hands free. Um...ooooo ribbons; long ones, short ones too!! These would be put to good use as well. Hey lookit! A whip! Not that she'd need to tame her gargoyle, the thing was quite docile but there was a dragon spell on the board so you never know. This was all she could think of so far and all she could carry so she headed back to her desk. If she thought of anything else she'd just make another trip here. |
All right. As soon as Professor Bellaire said it was okay to take a seat, Beezus descended to her stool and listened well as the woman immediately jumped to her instructions. They were going to tackle new spells to make their gargoyle presentations more awesome. Yep, she liked the idea Professor. And to add fuel to the fire, they were going to transfigure their gargoyle boxes into circus rings! That made her grin rather widely. She was a big fan of those circus shows, you know. The song "Circus" even started playing inside her head. All eyes on me in the center of the ring just like a circus.. Welp. Actually, all eyes on Professor Bellaire. Riiiiight. Circo Anulum. Circular motion to a point. Okay, Beezus got that. But she decided to repeat the incantation inside her head Too much for that one. Time to try out the spell. But first, she had to take out the box from her bag. And she did. She placed her gargoyle on the side and gave it a wink. Consolation of some sort because it wasn't it's time to shine yet. It was the box's time. "Circo Anulum....Circo Anulum." Beezus muttered without wand. Then she moved on to the wand movement. Circle and point. Circle and point. Okaaaay. She was ready. Pulling the box close, she eyed it intently before casting the spell. "Circo Anulum!"...........after a few shifts here and there, a green tent rested right before her eyes. Erm. Green though? Was it too obvious that she was in luuuurve? Aheeeeem. "I think I should change this one." >__________< |
What? Getting their gargoyles dressed? She really didn’t care if the creepy crawly gargoyle had clothing. But changing wooden boxes into circus rings sounded like a rather interesting idea. So she sat there with her gargoyle boxed in front of her. She held her wand out in front of her and tried to do the circle-circle point with her wrist staying steady. It would have been easier if she didn’t have to keep her wrist steady. The pointing was the easiest bit. So she tried again, circle, circle, point. That part was easy. “Circo circo…anooolum” she tried the words over and over until it felt as if she could say it in her sleep. She took her gargoyle and put it on her desk before heading to collect a box. Then she tried it, eyes wide. “Circo Anulum” and BEAMED, she just beamed when she watched the box wasn’t a box anymore. “That is totally wicked” she beamed and bounced a bit on the balls of her feet, clapping as she saw it. She was just excited so excited. Even if the tent was magenta. Pango? That was the spell yeah? ”Pango teal there her circus ring was not a reasonable (but still bright) color. |
Taking a seat as soon as she could, Eliza flopped down rather excitedly. She rolled up the sleeves on her robe so that the wood pieces wouldn't get the chance to snag the fabric. She hadn't done much Transfiguring and while some things seemed to work for her, others were a little trickier. A full on circus ring for instance sounded a bit...fancy. She went over the incantation a few times and kept her wand idle on the table, just to avoid any accidental casting. "Circo," Easy. "An..What? Anul..um. Anulum? Anulum. Anulum." Was it ah-noooo-lum like moo, or ah-nuhhhh-lum, or maybe ah-noo-loom? She listened around to see what the others were saying. It seemed like ah-nuh-luhm was the way to go, so she did that. Next she practiced keeping her wrist completely stiff while making the circle and it was harder than it sounded. She kept wanting to flick her wrist about, but Bellaire had been very specific that it should remain rigid, so she tried again. Around with her arm, hand and wrist still, ciiiiircular. And point. Circular, and point. Okay, not so hard. She was excited to get to use the extendable charm again this year too. It had been one of her favorite things she learned last year, so using it again was a treat. She looked at the piece of wood and put her practice to the test. "Circo anulum!" she said expectantly as she made the motion with her military-esque posture, hoping that might help. Sadly though, the wood did not turn into a pretty circus ring, but a round and lopsided wooden bunker. Maybe if we were playing with toy soldiers instead of gargoyles this would be okay, she joked to herself. Okay. Less regime emphasis next time, more visualizing a circus. Got it. She changed it back with a simple reverto and readied to try again. |
....."Reverto!" Okay...not too green of a tent anymore. Back to the box it was. This time she needed to picture out something a different color, right? So it wasn't too obvious. Teehee. Hmm. A purple one then? Since that was her favorite color and then that would mean it wasn't biased on any house color, even on her own house. It was the general Hogwarts color so it would fit. Pluuuus, it was just a purely fantastic color. Hmmmw, what else? Maybe she should add a bit more detail on the tent. Silver streaks on the roof? More ribbonettes hanging around? Improve the design of the tent entrance? Yep, she was trying to get that all inside her head. Once she was satisfied with the image she had, Beezus pointed her wand at the box, wrist steady and, "Circo Anulum!" The box crumpled sideways, expanded and suddenly sprang up to form the tent very close to the one she imagined. That was better. Next....were accessories, right? She needed a mini flag. And more silver thinggies. She was also going to so use the Undetectable Extension Charm for moaaaaar. |
Kendall hadn’t really minded the standing, if only because she felt like she could get a better look at everything around the room from that perspective rather than sitting behind her table. She’d still obeyed when Professor Bellaire had given them the permission to sit, and she proceeded to get Dagda and his box out of her bag while she’d listened to the instructions. So they were making performance spaces for their gargoyles now. That was awesome, and she had already begun thinking about what she wanted to create for her little gargoyle, smiling a little. This was going to be fun. She wasn’t even really that concerned about performing the wand movements, either. Her wrist hadn’t been tested too much since she’d gotten the cast off, but keeping it firm shouldn’t be a problem. It was lots of movement that sometimes did. Circo anulum. Circo anulum, circo anulum, she repeated in her head a few times, just to get the pronunciation down like she always did, then she experimentally flicked her wand in a circle and pointed it. No twinges in her wrist, although she could have sworn Dagda was looking at her like she was crazy. Obviously the gargoyle wasn’t, since she hadn’t animated him yet, but it felt like it. “You want me to make an awesome tent for you, right Dagda?,” she said quietly, leaning over so she was roughly eye level with the statue. “What colors do you like?” She’d prefer pink, but since the tent was for Dagda, she should consider his preferences. As if the gargoyle could answer her. Either way, she came up with a color scheme, then applied her attention to the box in front of her, concentrating on her idea. Time to start the show. “Circo anulum!,” she cast, moving her wand in the previously practiced circular motion before pointing it at the box. For a long moment, nothing happened, but then as she continued watching, the box stretched and morphed into a roughly circular blue and iridescent silver striped tent. Okay, it isn’t perfect, but it isn’t going to collapse. It just has character, she thought, moving Dagda a bit closer so he could examine the tent while she applied herself to decorating. Maybe some streamers, some props. It took her a few seconds, but she’d returned from collecting things and sat back down to grin at the little tent in front of her. Now it was time to really get it looking awesome. |
SPOILER!!: Davvy_Wavvy Sarah sat down in her seat, it was easier to keep warm sitting. Instinctively at the mention of the desk Sarah looked down at it. Then she caught herself and resumed her gaze at the teacher. She watched as the teacher demonstrated the new spell and listened to the instructions for the class. It sounded alright. Sarah had made a new day resoltution (it was easier to keep then a year resolution) that she would take notes even when not told,s os eh brought out her supplies and quickly wrote down the new spell and its wand movement. That sounded good. The incantation, which always was the hard part by Sarah. She looked over the spell in her book about three times before she was confident to try say it. |
Now that she had transfigured her to box into a circus ring charmed it with the undetectable expansion charm, Kat could go now and gather some nice accessories to decorate and furnish her circus ring with. That was something Kat was sort of okay with. She went over to the box at the corner and peered inside it, examining the available accessories. So there were hoops and really tiny flags (flaglets) inside. Awesome. Kat took some of them with her, and a little bit of ribbons because those looked nice and stuff with the circus ring. If Professor Bellaire had told them they were decorating before the lesson, Kat wouldn't brought some accessories of her own as well. She had beads and sequins and stuff that would makes her circus ring even more appealing. But oh well. I guess her Slytherin trait of resourcefulness was being tested at the moment. Hehe SHIFTY. Once she was finished in gathering accessories, she went back to her seat and placed them on her desk and tried fitting it into where it looked better. Hmm... Yes, with the one eye closed thingy? She was trying to be artistic after all. |
Quote:
Hmmm? "yes focus on the colours you want the tent to be." |
"One, two, three....four." Her tent had four roof gables. So....four flaglets for each, yes? What else would she need? Tapestries, maybe? Ribbonettes? Yep, she needed those....sequins and some glitter. Ew...she was acting like a girl. Welp. She was a girl. But not the too girlish things, yeah? Definitely. Beezus bounded over to the corner of the room where the box of accessories were and began rummaging through the various kinds of decors. Ooh. Flaglets! There were silver ones. She needed four of those... and rings? Could she use rings? Oh, but it was on the song so it would be a plus. Ribbons too. There were also pennant banners and bead curtains! Perfect for the entrance area, was it not? It waaaas! She also grabbed some whirls and flutter balls too. Was there also confetti in the box?! ...... ............ After gathering an armful of things, the Ravenclaw returned to her workstation and got started on decorating. She wasn't the most creative creature on the planet but she could sure as heck work out some things right there. As planned, she attached the bead curtains on the entrance for effect and the silver flaglets filled the ends of the roof gables. Banners...that went all around the tent..... She was actually having fun with this one. |
"Circa Anuloom" Sarah tried. "Circo Anulam". Wrong. Circo Anulun" It just was not fair! Her tongue always got twisted. Concentrate Sarah. She told herself. She looked at her book again for more help. "Circo Anulum" she edged out slowly. "Circo Anulum" just bit faster. "Circo Anulum". After some tries she got it up to the speed of the rate a normal person talks (Sarah usually talked much faster then a normal person did). "Circo Anulum" she said three more times for finality. She did it! Then she picked up her wand and flexed her wrists in preparation for learning the wand movement. |
Now that Ella had her circus ring, she was ready to add some accessories, yeah? Only she really wanted it to look like a proper circus ring and with such a small space to work with, she figured using the Undetectable Expansion charm would be her best bet. Conveniently enough, they'd learned this charm last term with Professor Bellaire. Grin. That camping lesson really had been a fun one. Magnus Centrum was the incantation, yeah? She remembered it well enough. She also remembered the light tapping motion and trying to get the pillow inside of a cup thing. That had been interesting. Anyhow, she was ready to give it a go. If she could successfully charm her tent, she could surely charm her circus ring. "Magnus Centrum!" TAP. Had it worked? The only way to tell for sure would be to get some accessories and start setting them up. The blonde stood from her seat and went to do just that. |
"wrist steady" Sarah chided herself as she tried to make a circle with her hand. No luck, in fact Sarah had to resort to stabling her right wrist with her left hand. Once she did that a few times her wrist was able to do the movement unaided. She held her wand did the circular motion and then pointed. It looked so easy now. Now came the putting together part. "Circo Anulum" she said making the circle motion with her hand. Well it would have worked had Sarah been thinking of her ring. Yet she did now "Circo Anulum" she siad then she did the wand movement and poited at the box, thinking of the royal purple ring that had white stars. Behold, after an agonizing transformation the box that was once was before her changed into something quite similar to what she had intended. Now she could further accessorize. It was a good thing Sarah had gone to the library and actually read things about circusses otherwise she would not know what a circus looked like. The big question |
So, now that the the circus tent was all ready, it was time to add the accessories. But he would need a bit more space wouldn't he? What was that Undetectable Expansion Charm again? Oh yes! Magnus Centrum. They had learnt it when the lesson was by the lake. "Magnus Centrum!'' the boy said, tapping the tent lightly. Now to see if it worked. He went over to the box to check out the stuff there. So many! He grabbed some of the things and set back to work. First, Jory tied some coloured flags on top of the tent on the outside. A nice big light yellow flag. Now, he started working on the inside. First went a closed cage to the far left of the tent. In it were two lions. He attached a piece of wire at the top of the inside, which was the tight rope and two trapezes. Just below this was a safety net. Jory now placed a small canon on the a little way from the lions' cage. On the far right, Jory set up some little chairs that were for the audience. Just in front of those were a trampoline and unicycle. And finally, he added a swing and a teeterboard. "Some confetti would do well, too,'' the Puffer thought. He had grabbed a small container which held some. Emptying it in his hand, he randomly sprinkled it all around the tent's floor. "Done!'' That Expansion Charm sure did work. |
Laura was glad that she knew what she was doing and the tent was looking good but she wanted to make it look even better, she wanted it to look great, football style, she should do one on Liverpool FC now all she had to do was make it look like that but, how, oh yeah, she could paint it forgetting to spell she got to work with some colours she had brought with her and soon she had made it look good, now though just to use the wand for the red bit, oh and what was the spell again, "Professor I'm a bit stuck." Laura sighed. |
He was still on the first spell. Still. On the first. Spell. GROAN. Alec shook his head and looked down at the wooden box. Okay so... he'll just ignore everyone else and go along his own speed, yeah? As long as he finished before the end of the class or before they started moving on. He really... didn't mind. Especially since Transfiguration was sort of tricky at times. But... onto the spell. Practice saying it first, yeah? Circo Anulum... circo anulum... circo anulum... "Circo Anulum... circo anulum... circoooooo............... anuluuuuuuum............" Was that the right way to say it? "Cir-co............ anoo-luuuuuuuuuuum.............." Yeah? No? "Circo Anulum circo anulum circo anulum!" Saying that over and over again was starting to become a mouthful. |
Cool, she had her nice green and yellow circus ring thing and now it was time to decorate it. BUT, professor Bellaire said they could use MORE spells, right? Like the Undetectable Expansion Charm. It was an opportunity to cast more Charms, so Sophie would totally do it. Because Charms, that was why. CHARMS! "Magnus centrum." The Hufflepuff said as she tapped her wand on the circus ring. There! That should work! The girl went to retrieve some stuff from the box and also pulled some leaves and rocks closer to her workstation. Wooooo, even more spells! That lessons would be awesome! Sophie looked over to the board and read all of the incantations and studied the wand movements. Those did sound easy enough, and professor Bellaire had said her seven year-old could perform, so that got Sophie confident enough. Dragon! Those reminded her of Mordred, so she would start with those. Grin. After practising the slashing wand movement, Sophie selected one rock she liked the best for no particular reason. "Draconis!" Ohwait. That was not it. She did the wand motion again. "Draconifors!" It seemed like the rock had suddenly become clay and there was an invisible hand moulding it into a little dragon. D'aw! Could she keep that to give Mordred later? Teehee! |
HE NEEDED TO HURRY UP. Okay... breathe... he'd just move on to the actual wrist movement part, yeah? Alec gripped his wand a little tighter, hoping that this would help to keep his wrist... firm, or whatever it was. The opposite of loose. Because apparently, that wasn't going to work. Circo Anulum... circo anulum... circo anulum... "Circo Anulum!" he said, moving his wand around in a circular motion and trying not to think about that confusing formula they had talked about in the previous lesson. Because... it was really confusing. And he'd just get distracted and... and... ... Yeah, the spell hadn't worked. The boy shook his head and looked down at the wooden box. "Circo Anulum!" Round... "Circo Anulum!" Come ooooooon... "Circo Anulum!" Wrist steady, come ON, Summers! "Circo Anulum!" A grin spread across the boy's face as he looked down at the bright red and yellow tent. ... Okay... he was okay with those colours. Now what was next? |
Quote:
"Clear?" |
She beamed, “Magnus Centrum” she pointed and tapped her tent and stuck her hand inside to check the size. YAY! She could fit things inside, heck, she could fit her head inside of it – and even her gargoyle! Which would be awesome since he’d be the one giving off the show yeah? The next thing she did was find all the other objects she needed. The leaf, the beetles, the well, everything but the rocks…which yeah, she would have them ALL on her table ready to go. And she was going to practice this next spell. “Bruchus Puga” she held her wand steadily pointed at the beetle and made one button. “Bruchus puga! Bruchus Paga!” she made another, and kept repeating the spell until she had three exact buttons. She was so so excited. |
Ethan walked over to the other table and grabbed a few balls and other accessories. Were dragons going to be the only animals in this circus? Grabbing some leaves and beetles, he walked back over to his desk. He stopped the beetles before they escaped. "Bruchus Puga!", he said while tapping the beetle. Cool. Setting the button to the side, "Bruchus Puga!", "Bruchus Puga!, "Bruchus Puga!", he said going down the line of beetles with his wand and tapping a beetle every time. Now he had a decent number of buttons but had no idea what they were for. Next up, the leaves. |
Kace decided to try out the other spells. He knew he could make the circus ring but he wanted to try out the other spells. SPOILER!!: Other spells He decided he wanted to try Bruchus Puga. It was supposed to turn a beetle into a button. He wanted to try and start saying the incantation. "Bru-ch-us Pu-ga.... Bru-ch-us Pu-ga....Bru-ch-us Pu-ga....Bru-ch-us Pu-ga...Bruchus Puga...Bruchus Puga....Bruchus Puga." He felt confident saying it and then he practiced the wand movement. All he had to do was hold the wand steady at the object. Kace starred at it and took a deep breath and concentrated. "Bruchus Puga!" and then held his wand steady and he felt the spell work. He opened his eyes and say the beetle turn into a button. WOAH O.o! He was amazed it worked! He loved the magic of it all. He even liked how the spell sounded :3. Alright time for the other spells. |

Yup, he was going to be bold. He drew a careful circle and flicked his wand at the apex as he spoke clearly, "Circo Anulum!" Oh, and color! He really didn't want something traditionally circus-y, since circuses were terrifying. Instead, Mo thought deep thoughts on the Ravenclaw colors, thick stripes of cobalt and bronze alternating around the perimeter. Mo watched with interest as his box turned tent-like, including a nice little frill and a flag on top. Still a little boxy, but absolutely a tent. "Your new home," Mo informed his gargoyle over his shoulder. |
Practical part already. Okay. She could do this. Penelope scribbled the spells down in her notes quickly and then drew her wand. Time to practice the first one. Circo Anulum. "Cir-co Anulum. Circo An-u-lum. Circo Anu-lum. Circo Anulum. Circo Anulum." Yeah, there, she sorta had it down. It wasn't really too hard to pronounce, which was nice. Now just the wand movement. So a circular movement of the hand...with the wrist not moving? And then a point. Hm. Okay... Penelope tried it out but quickly realized she was moving her wrist too. Hm. Tricky. She tried a couple more times but she kept getting tempted to move her wrist instead of keep it steady. So she moved her eyes down to watch her wrist and moved her hand slowly in a circle, keeping an eye on her wrist until her hand came back around full circle. Good. There. Now to speed it up. She repeated the motion but with a quicker pace, still keeping an eye on her wrist. Full circle, steady wrist. Good. Thank Merlin. She tried a little faster, still eyeing her wrist, and once more managed to keep it steady. Oh. And point. Yes. But it was kinda doing that once she had finished the circle, yeah? There. She was pretty sure she had that. Now she could try them together? |
She needed to start setting this tent up now that she got the things she figured she'd need. "Good job dude!" She patted the inanimate gargoyle affectionately for his hard work. In all his being stationary Lex bet he'd been quite fierce and intimidating. Now then, she'd have to get that started with the undetectable extension charm which she still remembered because she'd used it at the start of the term in order to fit all her cupcakes and cookies in her candy bag. How did that go again...? OH RIGHT!!! "Magnus Centrum!" For now she would assumed it worked so she could move on to something else. Something not dragon related apparently because they weren't allowed to use that one? Merlin! What was the point of having it scribbled there on the board then?? It was like placing a box of fireworks infront of her then telling her not to make a scene. See how that worked? No? That's because it didn't. Still, a 'Bellaire No' was a convincing one so she'd just focus on something else. Like that vest the gargoyle would be needing! Lex grabbed for a leaf from the table next to her. What? The person had quite a few and she didn't suspect they'd be needing all of them. Besides, her gargoyle needed a vest! |
decorating!!! EEEPS. She was practically humming with excitement as she prepared to decorate her tent. Heading over to the box that held the decorations – seats, benches, balls, and all things circus, she just smiled. She didn’t have anything against the circus (but then again she’d never really been) so she practically skipped to the box. Skipperdeee! SkipperdooO! She was in a pleasantly pleasant mood as she collected a few benches, a large ball, a little platform thingy. “Oh this will be a fun place to live in” she beamed when she finished collecting her things for Peaches – that was what she called her Gargoyle. Yep giving a creepy looking thing a sweet name was her first step in de-creepifying it. She quickly liked up the benches in a circle around the tent placing the platform down and the ball ontop of it. The thing really looked big toppy which was great. She was BEAMING. Then she glanced back at the box, and practically dashed to it. She had seen the confetti and the flutterballs that Beezus had grabbed and wanted some of the other smaller decorations. She grabbed a few streamers, flags, and even a confetti cannon. So she filled it with confetti and put a few of them – four to be exact at different corners of the tent. So the confetti would POP out of it and shower the inhabitants with confetti and fluttery paper bits…hopefully none of them would be smoking. “This looks adorable” she told the little gargoyle that was sitting on the desk next to her – inanimate but still…worth talking to. |
Ella was in the market for some circus related decor, y'know. She knew just where to get the decor too! In the box the Professor had placed to the side, yeah? Yeah! The blonde moseyed on over, a slight spring in her step. She liked this whole gargoyle assignment. It was different and fun and she got to decorate things. All good stuff. Yup. Now what would she nee- O_O Aw! A little circus ball! Bob the gargoyle could try and balance on this, right? Right! And was that a little unicycle? Heh. She'd be needing one of those too! Oh and there were some benches and a platform. Bob would need a platform so he could be the center of attention, obviously. Colorful streamers and confetti would be nice as well. Y'know, cause people always liked lots of color. Beam! All good stuff. Arms full, the sixteen year old headed back to her seat and began to set up her ring. |
Now that she had the circus ring Minerva needed to work on getting it to look like a circus. She had only been to one once in her life time so she tried to remember exactly what it looked like. First thing first she looked down at her small very small circus ring. Well how was she going to get anything decorated in that. No this wasn't going to do, so she pulled her wand and did the movement Magnus Centrum. Smiling to herself now that was better. Looking around she found the stuff Bellaire said they could use and walked over. Now what could she decorate with. Oh here was some small pieces of colored paper. Minerva picked those up and walked back over to her circus ring. Twisting them she pointed her wand and stuck them to each side of her ring. That was better, everything is better with streamers hanging for decoration. Now she went back to the box and looked around again. Oh little flags, yes what is a circus without these. Picking a few up, but leaving some she walked back over and stuck them in each corner of the ring. This was actually a very fun lesson and she was highly enjoying herself. |
“Foll…ium” she tried the sounds over a bit but it didn’t seem to fit quite right. “Folium” there faster was better, the slower she said it the more she got stuck on the sounds. Wondering if it was right or if her brain was just messing with her. “Indu-ant” she tried the second half and frowned. Pouty-faced frowns were becoming all too natural on a normally beaming face. “Folium Induant” she tried it all together again and it fit…again, the slower made it sound worse. Not worse, just like it didn’t exactly fit. She picked up the leaf and set it on the table in front of her. “Folum Induant” she lightly tapped it and watched as the leaf began to morph and grow becoming a small gargoyle sized vest! With button holes but no buttons. Taking out her textbook she began to search and search for the right transfigurative spell to stick buttons onto it. Ah right - a gluing charm might work. She beamed at the ingenious idea. |
Now to try to make this incantation and wand movement to work together and turn this wooden box into a circus ring. Meh. Penelope eyed the box, deciding to first just try to imagine it as a circus ring. Imagining things and picturing it in your mind was usually always really important to spells, especially transfiguration ones, she'd learned. So she forced herself to just focus on that for about a minute, trying to make sure the image was clear in her head. A minute was the limit though because she got bored just sitting and staring at the thing and imaging it changing. Time to actually MAKE it change, yeah? Yeah. "Circo Anulum," she said as she moved her hand in a circle, trying to focus on the wooden box and not on her wrist. But that basically ruined it because she automatically moved her wrist. Grr. She moved her hand around and around, trying to maybe tire her wrist out so it'd be more inclined to just freeze up and let her move her hand only. So trying again. "Circo Anulum." Her hand moved in the circular motion as usual, but her mind wandered to her wrist and focusing on keeping it steady, so even though she managed to perform both correctly...nothing happened. The box was still a box. Meh. Deep breath. Focus. Her hand moved steadily in a circle, her wrist firm. "Circo Anulum." Point. And...slight success? Two corners of the wooden box had smoothed out to make a more circular form, but it was only half a ring. The other half still looked like a wooden box. Ugh. Stubborn box. |
Ethan looked at his red and white circus tent a bit appraisingly before pulling his gargoyle from his bag. Rockie, he had decided to name him.. and he tried to fit him inside the tent. Sure, the little gargoyle fit.. but it didn't seem there was much room for anything else. Perhaps the undetectable extension charm was in order. Pointing his wand and tapping the tent, he commanded, "Magnus Centrum!" Ethan had no doubt that his spell worked but he stuck his hand inside and moved it around to make sure. Good. Plenty of room. Now what else could he do? Circus-related decor was in order now. He walked over to the box in the corner of the room and assessed the things inside. Circus rings.. yes, he could use a few of those.. three to be exact.. and he pulled a them from the box. He grabbed a ball, a few flags, and.. oh, look! there was a little see-saw he could use for Rockie to perform his acrobat tricks. He found a little platform for him to land on as well. His arms full, Ethan brought the supplies back to his workstation and set about placing them inside his tent. |
question! XD Epoximise! She had found the spell. Beaming her hand shot into the air almost immediately as she thought about the spell and using it and if there was a specific way that Professor Bellaire wanted it to happen. So she just smiled. “Professor, I was wondering if for the buttons – would you want use to use the gluing spell as a way to connect the buttons to the vest?” She asked kindly as she yet again fiddled with the vest and buttons that sat in front of her. She really would like the vest to be closeable so it didn’t hinder Peaches’ performance. |
The tent had turned out pretty well, if Mo was allowed to give himself props over it, and he was able to turn his attention to the other spells listed. Buttons? What did he want with buttons? But a vest... sure. Gargoyle would look dashing in a vest. Maybe a hat too. Mo retrieved several leaves in case he ended up destroying one accidentally while practicing the spell. The motion was simple, just tap tap tap on the leaf and poof... a vest happens! The incantation, though, was a little more challenging, and Mo sounded it out over and over. "Folium Induant. Folium Induant." What sort of vest did his gargoyle want? Something festive yet masculine. Maybe a nice pinstripe? Mo tapped the first leaf and muttered, "Folium Induant." The leaf curled on itself and soon formed a very nice vest-shape. Only... it was a gold sequined vest shape. A bit flashy, wasn't it? |
It was time to move on to creating the clothes for his gargoyle. Jory couldn't decide on a name so he just decided to call it Mr. Gargoyle. He muttered the incantations under his breath as he set a leaf and beetle down in front of him. After that he worked on the wand movements. "Right. I think I've got those.'' He'd work on the vest first. "Folium induant!'' followed by a light tap on the leaf. And behold! A vest of Aquamarine appeared. Just as Jory had pictured. |
1 Ready to get started at least with the practicing of the elements of the main spell, West got his gargoyle and box out of his bag and set it up at his work area. "Circo Anulum." he said, just practicing how it sounded so that it felt right on his lips and tongue. "Circo Anulum. Circo Anulum. Circo Anulum." Alright. He felt alright with that. West eyed the box up thoughtfully, trying to envision it as a circus ring and all that. He looked around the class eyeing up all the successfully transfigured ones and then back at his which was still a box. Okay. Intent sorted. Keeping his wrist steady he practiced the wand movement. Circular motion and point. Circular from the wrist as a rotation point or from the elbow? The steady wrist part suggested the elbow. He made the circle shape with his hand, keeping his wrist locked. Okay. Time to put it together then. |
One Dylan was observing before he got down to the business of casting spells...He had to admit that this was a rather neat project. It was cool of Bellaire to think of it... Finally pulling out Gi Abi Goon, he grinned and stood the Gargoyle up to the side. He needed to turn this box into a tent, right? Spying others so that he knew he was doing the right thing, the Slytherin went ahead and practiced saying the spell. Cir-co...Ah-nu-lum? "Circo Anulum." It felt weird to his mouth at first, so he repeated it several times to get used to the letter arrangement..."Circo Anulum, Circo Anulum, Circo Anulum." ...and then the motion. Stiff wrist. Circular motion. Point. It was an interesting one...Dylan withdrew his wand and practiced moving it in a circle with his wrist tight. There was another spell that was similar to this, motion-wise...So, he'd done something like this before...After a few rotations, he did some pointing. Point! Alright, he was ready to give it a go. |
2 "Circo Anulum!" West kept his wrist steady and made a circle with his hand and... it didn't work...OHWAIT the point! He hadn't added that. Blink. Seriously he needed to stop thinking about... well. He knew who he was thinking about. He needed to stop. And stop thinking about stopping thinking about her. ... >.> AHEM. He could do this. West was confident. And transfiguration was fun anyways so it was a GOOD thing to focus on. Wrist steady, circle with hand, and POINT. He did it a few times and then tried again. "Circo Anulum!" steady wrist, hand circle, point! West focused hard on the colours he wanted, keeping the mental image of a and.... |
Two Focusing on the box that usually housed Gi Abi Goon, Dylan imagined it turning into a tent. An awesome one with green and blue strips...Yep, because those two colors together made the most sense... Ahem. "Circo Anulum!" He did the tight-wristed circular thing with the point. At once, the box popped, a green and blue tent taking it's place. Bam!...And the Professor had mentioned the undetectable expansion charm...He'd take care of that in just a bit. For now, he wanted to get these new spells down. What was the next? Bruchus puga... Like....Bru-chus pu-ga? The motion was a bit easier for this one...All he had to do was point steadily at a beetle. That was doable...if he could find a beetle. Did Professor Bellaire have a jar of them or something? Was Dylan supposed to search the floor for one? As luck would have it, he did spy one on the floor...and knelled down to have a better look. That was a beetle, right? SQUINT. |
3. ... the box began to morph, the base of it popped up in the centre, forming a perfect circle, the inner ring itself. It was green around the edges with a pale sawdust appearance in the middle which was actually firm rather than soft, even if it looked to be sawdust. The box wiggled and shook and the sides split and thinned out, the inner part folding down in on itself and morphing to form seats and the lower parts of the walls. The outer layer of box stretched higher and higher, stripey green and silver popping up as it changed into fabric, met itself at the top and then sprouted two little flags, one at each edge. A snap and a spin and the edges rounded out and finally one side of the tent rooooooooooolled itself up, revealing the interior with the ring and the seats and even a little sign that said 'circus'. Because it was. A miniature circus. Absolutely delighted with this, West picked the no-longer-a-box up to check it over, feeling how sturdy it was and happily examining the detail of it, which was almost exact to a memory he had of going to a circus himself. One thing having an eidetic memory helped with was visualising for Transfiguration. Even if it actually got in the way more often than not in other subjects. Seriously. YESSSSSS. And now he wasn't thinking about certain distracting people at ALL. |
Three Right, it was a beetle. Pointing his wand at it, all steady-like, Dylan focused on it becoming a shiny new button. A red one, for his favorite Gryffindors. Or Gryffindor. Singular. Seemed one of them was quickly becoming someone else's favorite. Just sayin'. Red button, red button, red button. "Bruchus puga!" The beetle vanished, but instead of a red button, it left behind a blue one. Dylan glanced over at Beezus and sighed...Funnily enough, his subconscious just couldn't help itself, it seemed. Going with the flow, he found more beetles and one by one, each became a shiny, blue button...with four holes in their centers. Blue for his favorite Ravenclaw. Moving on... |
4 West was PROUD of his circus tent alright? It looked GOOD, and actually made him more excited about his gargoyle and the tricks it could do and everything. He hadn't been nearly so eager to begin with but now the stage was literally set. And yes, his gargoyle DID need a costume. He looked up at the board eyeing the two spells needed to dress his little dude up. A buttoned vest. Too bad the vest spell didn't come with buttons already huh? And how did he stick them on anyways? West mused on this a bit. There was a stitching charm, Resarcio, and the sticking charm Adhaero... which would be better? West thought sticking might be the more manly choice.... Yeah. That decided he went and got a couple of leaves ,wanting to practice on them a bit and not just settle for the first one he made after all. He sat back down and readied himself to get started. So the incantation, according to the board, to change a leaf to a vest, was folium induant. West absorbed it then practiced it out loud. "Folium induant." ... "Folium induant. Folium induant. Folium induant." That sounded pretty good. Not the easiest incantation. Had to really focus on enunciating. It was good. And a nice gentle tap for the wand movement made it easy to focus on the incantation. Okay he was ready to give it a go. "Folium induant!" West gently tapped the first leaf, thinking about a vest.... |
Four Right, so...the next spell was one that was supposed to change a leaf into a vest. Glancing over at Gi Abi Goon, Dylan gave him some eyes. "Do you want clothing?" He hadn't animated the gargoyle today...but imagined that he'd agreed. Why wouldn't he? Vests were very circus-y. Folium induant...Fo-li-um in-du-ant? Assuming that he was breaking these down correctly, he mentally repeated the spell in his head. Folium induant, Folium induant, Folium induant, Folium induant...... ...and that motion was just to lightly tap the leaf, yes? Dylan supposed that color would be left to his imagination and thought about what would look best against a gray body...because he was considerate like that. He was thinking blue or green, of course. There was a theme here... "Folium induant!"...LIGHT LEAF TAP! Instead of a blue or green vest, though....it produced a red one. SQUINT. What was going on with these colors? |
Moving on to the buttons. Jory decided he would transfigure two beetles, so he set them down in front of him. "Bruchus puga...bruchus puga...bruchus puga...bruchus puga...,'' he kept repeating. Jory grabbed his wand and pointed it to the beetle on the right. "Bruchus puga!'' Instantly, the beetle seemed to have vanished and was replaced by a white button. He repeated the step for the next beetle and soon he had two white buttons sitting stop his desk. |
5 Yes that was a vest... only it wasn't the right size. Too small and not quite the right shape either. He tried it on the gargoyle JUST to see if it worked, but the leaf vest -which was kind of a purple colour, ehh- tore a bit, and then turned back to a leaf. A torn leaf. Alright. Try again. This time West eyed the gargoyle up and mentally took measure of it, trying to work out its size and the proportions the leaf vest would need to have. "Folium induant!" West had a green vest in mind, and the size that he'd been thinking of, and he gently tapped the leaf. This time the colour was the right shade, a nice green that matched the tent, and the shape was definitely better. West had to get it on the gargoyle now. He tried to maneuver it... but couldn't get it on around the stiff gargoyle and it tore again. Darnitttt So... needed to do something different... he could either animate the gargoyle so it would move its limbs to better get into the vest... or he could try to transfigure the leaf around the gargoyle so that it was already on it. He decided the second approach would be good, if that didn't work then he'd animate his gargoyle. This time West put the leaf on the gargoyle's back, straightened it, and then looked it over, imagining how it would fit around the gargoyle to look all smart. "Folium induant!" West focused and then tapped it gently.... YESSSSSS he watched as the leaf formed into a vest around his front legs and chest, flapping open at the front. The vest was green with a little sliver piping around its edges. West was grinning now. LOVING how well this was working out for him. |
Beezus was done with her tent. She was pretty satisfied with the outcome too. It all went down accordingly as planned, as they say. Well, not all of it....but at least the greater part of what she had visualized was now propped up on her work station. She had to commend herself for that. It looked.....circus-like. BEAM. Now, she had to dress up her gargoyle. Which reminded her....she haven't thought of a name for it and it definitely needed a name. She couldn't just go and call it gargoyle for the rest of the time they'll spend together. That was just....meh. Plus, her friends told her that she had a knack for naming things so she felt it was necessary. Hmm... She held the stoned creature up and leveled with it, narrowing her eyes. "What to call you, little guy?" Of course, with the face it had, it wasn't a girl. It took a while and a lot of thinking....a lot of going over on stories, characters in books before she finally came up with one. "Viserys. Viserys the Gargoyle." Smirk. Yep. That. And....Viserys needed a vest and colorful, brilliant buttons to look awesome like the awesome gargoyle that he was. Beezus' dark brown eyes went to the board and then she read out the incantation to turn a leaf into a vest. "Folium Induant. Folium Induant." Easy peasy. And it only required a light tap on the object. Well....Professor Bellaire did say that those were easy spells. So, without further ado, Beezus gathered the bits of leaves scattered on her work table together and piled it in front of her. Before anything else, the visual image.......she wanted the vest to be......blue? Aquamarine would be lovely, no? And it should have silver linings. No lace because lace was ew. But it should have a pointed collar....mhmm. She slowly tapped the leaves with her wand. "Folium Induant!" The bits glued together like they were puzzles of a whole and then it whirled and out from it came a mini-vest....exactly just she had thought it and exactly as the gargoyle's size. "Look Viserys. You have a vest." She told the gargoyle....Of course she wasn't going to let it go without a response so the Prefect brandished her wand over the gargoyle and muttered silently, "Piertotum Locomotor...Nod." And Viserys nodded. That was all she needed. A confirmation that her gargoyle saw the vest she made for it. Very very good Viserys. ...."Finite." She tagged on quickly before anyone could see her performing the charm. |
6 note to self, MUST stop writing Beatles. Now what was needed was buttons, and West had decided sticking them on would be easiest. He fetched some beetles from the provided supplies, going with three of them for the actual vest but grabbing a couple extra for practice reasons. He put them aside as he took his place again, and worked on practicing the spell. "Bruchus Puga." And a steady point yes? West practiced that at the same time. Intent would be... beetles to buttons, focusing on the size and shape of the buttons and the colour and all that... "Bruchus Puga. Bruchus Puga. Bruchus Puga." It SEEMED pretty straight forward. West did wonder if it made any difference if the beetles were alive or dead. These that he had were dead though, so no need to overthink it for now. Time to try it. He put one in front of him and focused. "Bruchus Puga!" West pointed his wand at the beetle and held it steady. It twitched and turned into a button... with legs. Darn. At least the button part was green? |
...."Bruchus puga?" Was it just her or did that spell sound a bit.......ridiculous? Trying to kick her judgemental thoughts away, Beezus glanced around...her eyes searching for a particular person. There he was...engrossed with his own work. Hmmmm. And as though on cue, Dylan used the So she was just going to quickly make Viserys his buttons so she wouldn't have to keep saying that incantation. Now where could she find a beetle? ....Beezus looked at her work table and a wood box caught her attention. That had to be it. The creatures had to be inside....and they really were. Eep. They buzzed quite adorably. And those horns.....they had fantastic black colors too. Like tarantulas...adorable creatures. She liked those kind. Mhmm. She picked up one and closed the box. Then pointed her wand at it and, "Bruchus puga!" Bye bye little beetle and greetings silver button with dark blue streaks. She also did the same with the other beetles until there were four. The exact number she needed for the vest. One by one, the buttons lined the vest and voila! A perfect vest for Viserys. Huzzah. |
Minerva went back to the box, streamers, flags, what else could she use to decorate her ring. Looking down she smiled. Oh I could use thees little things for his juggling act. She picked up the three little tooth picks and took them to the ring setting them inside. Heading back she found a small little box, this could be his stool to stand on, then she saw some small pieces of colored confetti. Oh this would make things pretty. She picked those up as well. Heading back to her circus ring, Min put the little box into the middle. Good this is where he can stand and start his little show. Then she sprinkled the confetti around. She smiled excited about the way it was looking. Alright she thought, streamers, flags, a little stool, toothpicks for juggling, confetti. Now it was time to start on her Gargoyle. |
7 Come on now, try it again. West was determined y'know? He was doing so good with this class and not thinking too much about... ..... ................... ..... okay so he let himself think about her a bit more and even turned to look. Hi. Where was he? Oh yeah, beetles to buttons. West put another beetle in front of him and focused on it. This one had to work. "Bruchus Puga." He pointed his wand steadily and this time... no legs! Just a matte green button with four holes, and quite a thick one at that. Awesome! He went ahead and did two more the same. "Bruchus Puga." point. "Bruchus Puga." point. Now he had three which was enough for the vest. Thankfully he didn't need to worry about size. West picked the first one up and carefully touched his wand to the middle. "Adhaero!" He stuck it on in the middle of the vest. He did the same with the last two, one above and one below, an even distance between them, and then used diffindo to slice little holes on the opposite side for the buttons to go through. West spent a few moments doing the little waistcoat up and now his gargoyle looked SMART. Yessss. Alright. Next he'd decorate his tent some yeah? The inside? Furnish it or whatever? So... worth making it extended inside yeah? He peered into his box!tent. Yeah. |
Post 2 Nigel of course made his circus tent Cadbury purple. It was an awesome color after all. Now it was time to move onto the second spell on the board. Nigel looked up and at the board to memorize it in his mind. So it was bruchus puga and there was no wand movement other than point at the beetle. Now Nigel was ready to turn these beetles into buttons. He looked down at his cadbury purple and spotted the beetles. He pointed his wand at one and imagined a black button. "Bruchus Puga". Nigel watched as the target turned into a perfect black button. Well the only thing left to do was turn the remaining beetles into buttons. Now that he did it once. The remaining should not be a problem. |
8 Undetectable Extension Charm time. West eyed the tent!box!thing some more and then, focusing on making it more, he tapped the tent. "Magnus Centrum!" ...? Now to test... West reached his arm in there.... and it disappeared. He couldn't feel any walls. Excellent! It worked then! He put his head in there to look around and check... heeeh. Weird. He was definitely getting better at that spell. Okay back to business. West put the tent back down on his bench and went to go get some decorative stuff. He grabbed a whole assortment of circus-y things to go inside, returned to his station, and began decorating the inside of his tent. Heh. Buntings. The triangular flag kind. They just sorta went well with the circus look, he figured. |
