As is expected, Professor Bellaire's class is extremely neat and tidy. The desks are all arranged in neat rows and the air is crisp and clean..especially now that they were higher up.
On each desk is placed a tinygargoyle a long with a box, in which you will place the gargoyle once you are done with today's lesson.
You will also notice Professor Bellaire's cursive handwriting on the blackboard with notes that you are expected to take down once you have been given permission to sit.

Professor Bellaire is standing in front of her desk, arms crossed and lips pursed waiting for you to enter.
The first day of Hogwarts! Jason's so excited as he walks into the classroom holding his book.
"Morning professor!" Jason calls maybe a bit too excitedly. Oh well.
He sits down on a chair and looks ahead. He notices an equation on the board. He takes out his notebook and copies the equation down. Wonder what it has to do with transfigeration?
Jake had one of his half-smile-for-no-reason smiles on his face as he entered the Transfiguration classroom. The two knuts he had in the pocket of his trousers clinked together each time he took a step. It was, if he didn't think about the reason he had to carry the money with him, a nice sound.
As he passed Professor Bellaire, he greeted her with a cheerful wave and a bright, "Hello, Professor!" He quickly found a seat and took a notebook and a quill out of his bag. After a quick glance at the board Jake copied down the equation. He had no clue what it meant... but it looked cool enough! Plus, there was a mini!gargoyle lion thing on his desk. It was a good day.
"Zahra KETTLEBURN, REPORTING TO DUTY SIR! ......... MA'AM!" Zahra skidded into the room, GRYFFINDOR FIRSTIE (GO GO GRYFFINDOR! YEAH! ROAR!!!!!!!) into the room, went straight to the Professor for HIGH FIVES.
FIRST CLASS EVER.
HIGH FIVE FOR THAT!
AND FOR GRYFFINDOR!
"Could you tell me where GRYFFINDORS sit?" She had to find a seat for HER and for MIKEY TOUSSAINT. In the GRYFFINDOR section. YEAH!
Zahra was dressed correctly, clean, no smudges or blood. Her hair was braided and shiny. AND SHE WAS READY TO LE... "OH TOYS!" COOL!

So this was... weird.
Bellaire... teaching Transfiguration and not Charms, the subject he was used to her teaching for the past... four years now? Yeah. And in his slight confusion, the boy had almost pack in his Charms book, instead of his Transfiguration one for the lesson. Hence why he was running up to the classroom, secretly hoping that he wasn't late because of his confusion.
And because he had seriously contemplated stepping inside the Kitchens to get some ice cream before coming.
Alec ruffled his hair as he ran down the corridor and came to a stop outside of the classroom door. He took a deep breath before walking inside, right after a particularly enthusiastic Gryffindor. Shaking his head, he turned his attention towards Bellaire. "Hello, Professor!" He gave her a big smile before moving away towards an empty desk to stand behind.
... OH HELLO? WHAT? They got toys or...? He dug his hands into his pockets to try not to touch the little figures before looking up at the board and the... BLINK. Equation? One that looked like it had been scooped out of an Arithmancy book and scooped into a bowl of Transfiguration and then mixed until you got... a nice... ice cream soup.
He was really hungry.
And how do you measure viciousness and concentration? BLINK.
Kaiden made his way all the way up to the SEVENTH floor for transfiguration, wondering which of the new professors would be teaching the class. And yes, seventh, because apparently the people over here didn't know how to number things properly. Anyways, he entered the room with all the usual stuff in his bag and just stopped. Professor Bellaire? She was teaching transfiguration? That was... weird.
With a frown, he tightened the tie that was hanging loosely around his neck, and made sure it was straight and proper, and all that. "Hello Professor." He said finding a seat to stand by, and dropping his bag beside it, waiting to the chance to sit.

Bellaire teaching a different subject. This would be at the least interesting.
Never, ever wanting to be late to one of Professor Bellaire's classes again, Nessie made sure to arrive a few minutes earlier than she usually did. She straightened herself and her robes at the door of the classroom then entered giving Bellaire a nod along with a greeting.
"Morning, Professor Bellaire." She smiled slightly, the Professor still frightened her just a bit. "Hope your summer was well." and with that she walked off to a empty desk and stood.
Her eyes peeked at the miniature gargoyles, then at the board that both made her pout as she tried to estimate what today's work would involve.

Ella entered the classroom quietly, making sure to smooth her skirt as she passed Professor Bellaire. "Hello Professor, hope you had a nice summer," She said cheerfully, offering the woman a small smile before finding a desk. Her green eyes fell on the gargoyles and her eyebrows raised slightly before Ella's attention turned to the board. Hmm.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.
Not late? Not late. Good.
Ky entered the transfiguration classroom on time, and he's not one of the last ones to arrive. Looks like he's finally getting rid of his old habits. Ky made a mental note to himself to celebrate his awesomeness...again.
"Hello professor, how are you?" Ky greeted the professor, which is a female this time. He prefers females professors a lot over male and old professors; they were much easier going and appeared to be more fond of Ky, at least in his old school.
Ky took a seat in one of the desks and moved his attention towards the writing on the board. He groaned slightly at the confusing letters and equation. No...not equations! Especially there were 100% made up of letters. What are they going to do? Ky thought this was transfiguration class, not solve-a-bunch-of-letters class.
Taylor made sure that her hair, nails, shoes and uniform was perfect before going into the classroom. She hated how the teacher was strict about it even though Tay always tried to look her best. "Good day, Professor Bellaire. I hope you had a delightful summer." She curtsied to her then went to stand beside one of the desks... making sure she didnt sit down so not to anger the professor at the first lesson.
Laura walked into the classroom, smiling for a change. "Good day Professor." Laura was really happy and decided she would ask the Professor more. "How was yours and Tye's summer, did you both have a lovely time?" Laura hadn't spoken to Tye for ages.
Sophie wasn't sure she could get used to the idea of professor Bellaire teaching anything but Charms.
...
Okay, she could. Especially if it was Transfiguration, which happened to be Sophie's second best subject anyway. What a lovely coincidence! Not that it would make the professor any less... strict? Scary? Something?
The girl did a quick check up to see if her school uniform was alright and smiled as she calmly entered the classroom. It wasn't Charms, so she wasn't THAT excited. But still, Transfiguration was cool. "Hello, professor Bellaire!" She politely greeted the older witch, giving her a warm smile and going to find a place to sit stand after glancing around at the gargoyles thingies.
While waiting for the professor to tell them to sit down, Sophie looked at the blackboard and actually enjoyed what she saw. A formula! Lovely!! That actually made her want to go to Arithmancy now. Sophie did like formulas and numbers and all that jazz. But the Hufflepuff's eyes widened slightly at the word 'viciousness'.
.....Spooky!

West had made effort to be all presented well in his uniform and all, given the professor and also personal pride despite the difficulty of it. Slytherin wasn't really an environment that made it easy at the moment, y'know?
He found a desk and stood by it. Right by Theo of course. "Hello Professor Bellaire."
Yeah.
Should be interesting right?
West looked at the board and lit up, immediately feeling more confident.

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Transfiguration... Daichi had wanted to go to Professor Magnus about something because he had always felt she had been like a mother to him over the years. The way she always encouraged and helped him gain confidence just like a mother he had never had.
But when he hadn't seen her at the Staff table he had been really sad about it. Why of all the years she must go now? As he reached the classroom, he opened the door and immediately saw Professor Bellaire, their previous Charms teacher. Mweeeeh! She like Flamsteed apparently loved CLEAN. So before he entered, the Slytherin Prefect corrected his tie as he pushed it up a little, buttoned up the last button on his uniform behind his robe and ran a hand through his hair to try and style it some more.
He was NOT going to be send out of class this year!
"Hello Professor" he greeted the woman with a quick polite bow and then found a desk to stand next to it. Seeee he even remembered this! No sitting until being told to! His eyes then found the blackboard and if he had been a cartoon character there would be question marks popping up around his head right now.
It was no use denying that Raven felt nervous for her first lesson at Hogwarts. She had been really excited for them to start, but the nervousness started just after breakfast. How could she be sure the teacher wouldn't be strict? She thought they seemed nicer than the Romanian school teachers, but she had seen that crazy lady(Ivy) punishing another student by levitating her kneazel in the air.
All you have to do is pay attention and answer the questions, Raven told herself. You are a ravenclaw, you'll do fine. The nervousness slowly started vanishing once she set foot inside the classroom. Raven took in the cool looking gargoyles and then the complicated writing on the board. That looked kind of like muggle algebra.
"Good morning professor!" Raven called as she stood next to a desk.

Penelope wasn't really looking forward to this class, though that wasn't surprising considering she never really liked the classes that required them to do spells. She was a little better at them than she used to be, at least, but she still struggled and she didn't like it. But maybe...hopefully...this year would be different. She was a fourth year now, so maybe that somehow made her better and she wouldn't have to try ten million times to properly cast a spell.
She adjusted her tie and robe a bit before entering the classroom. Oh. Professor Bellaire was the Transfiguration teacher now? She hadn't really paid a lot of attention to the staff table aside from the speech. And even that she hadn't paid complete attention to. Hm. Interesting. "Hello, Professor," she greeted her, then found a seat to stand by.

"Morning, professor," she voiced as energetically as possible while going to stand next to a desk. The bags under Alice's eyes were noticeable if anyone looked closely enough, but she had somehow managed to keep herself kempt and tidy for the most part, even with the dingy school and whatnot. Because she knew Bellaire had no problem with kicking badly presented Gryffindor badge holders out of her classroom.
Selina Skylar being the case in point, obviously. Ahem.

She was smiling as she came inside, her uniform as tidy as usual. Blame Flamsteed. But she was greeted by a super clean classroom and that's all she was caring for, truth be told. Also, Transfiguration was the second class she was looking forward to, so....
...what on Earth was written on the board?
"Hello Professor Bellaire!" She still greeted her with a smile, even if her head was tilting at the board as she stood next to her desk.

Anya smiled happily as she entered the classroom. "Hellllo Professor." she said brightly in a near sing-song voice. Under normally conditions, she wouldn't be excited for ... this Professor. But, she must have had a decent sleep. Or maybe, she was just too hungry and out of knuts to care about anything but something that was free.
This was free right?
She looked down at the statue on her desk and gave it a poke. She raised her hand. "Professor. Do I need to leave? I can't afford this. Unless you've got change for a sickle."
Or if it was a sickle. Then that would be convenient.
Or maybe the Professor accepted rainchecks? She could bug her brother for some change.

Since he was new and all Michael wasn't sure how things were run just yet. But one thing he had noticed was that most of the Professor's wanted them to be clean and tidy. How they were supposed to do that in these conditions was beyond him.
"Hey Professor!" Whatever your name is. He was going to have to pay attention when it came to names.
He immediately spotted Z and made his way ovr to her. "Gryffindor have lost five points. Was it you?" A relevant qustion especially if you knew Zahra Kettleburn like he did.

She stood next to one of the desks in the middle of the room like the other students and eyed the gargoyle thingy... that was pretty cute actually, despite its angry looking face. Derry took out her quill and parchment and held them, ready to note down the equation and writing on the board when they were sat. Maths, right? Like in muggle school? She could sort of do that if she really had to... but she hated it. Meh. Anyway... this would be different, right? This was magic...
Though she'd never had to do maths when she was doing transfiguration at home.

She liked for everything to have a place, and to be in its place.
Quickly picking a desk, Natasha followed everyone's lead, and stood by her desk. Why did they not sit? She figured she would find out soon enough. As she had been walking in, Natasha had heard a few of the other students greeting the professor, so she figured it was best to do so as well. "Hello Professor." Natasha said to a very strict looking professor. She liked her already.

Taking the last turning, she came to the classroom entrance and stuck a smile on her face and quickly tried to tame her hair, to no avail. Wellllll, whatever. She walked in and flashed a smile at Professor Bellaire. Wait .. what? Someone had definitely forgot to mention this change in Professors to her. That, or she'd, um, missed it in the feast. Probably the latter. Casting her confusion away, she greeted her with a simple, "hello, Professor," being walking over to a spare desk and standing beside it.

Ohai strange scribbled complicated things that made her brain hurt. She thought to walk out and check the room once more. Had she walked into Arithmancy by mistake? She could still leave right?? She blinked at the words before her features relaxed again and she calmly walked over to her seat. Those weren't meant for them. Nah. Lex understood. "Hello Professor!!!" She grinned extra wide at the woman as she took her spot behind her chair. No sitting, just a little bouncing was all.

Totally not safe. We were totally thinking of transferring schools here.
It felt strange to go to Bellaire's lessons and it not being Charms. He had gotten used to Charms being his favourite lesson but eh, he guessed that Transfiguration could take it's place now. His eyes completely glaced over the gargles and the black board, because it was just nonsense written upon there, and just beeeeeeamed at Professor Bellaire.

"Hello, Professor Bellaire." He took a seat, still smiling, but rubbing his eyes. Nope, he would NOT fall asleep in this class of all classes.

After that polite greeting, Nathan made his way to the desk he usually sat at in the middle of the room. He liked the middle as he could see the blackboard clearly, and he could aslo see what was going on in the classroom around him.
It took Sophia a whole minute before she could even begin to think about a proper response to this student. She might have even twitched a little bit. Where were the Gryffindor prefects and how could they let this happen?
"You are to report to one of your prefects at the end of this class and have them advise you on the proper conduct for my class. Find a desk and stand by it...and do not speak unless answering a question..." She was about to move on but then she paused..."And those are not toys."

Oh they had better not get her started on her summer! Besides the tea parties and the ball that she had thrown and invited Annie to, there was nothing else remotely good about the summer. It was an absolute disaster. Her mood was rapidly going south.
"Dreadful...my summer was dreadful." Moving on.

Sophia resisted the urge to roll her eyes."Have you been charged for any other lesson Miss Phillips? If not calm down and keep your sickles."
"Once again. Good morning to you all. For those of you who do not know me, I am Professor Bellaire, previous Charms professor and present Transfiguration teacher. I am expecting a productive lesson with all of you and we might even manage to have some...fun." Maybe, but they shouldn't get their hopes up too high."Transfiguration is a very complex discipline and it will require a lot of concentration on your part. I therefore will not tolerate any foolishness in my classroom. Understood?" She eyed them ALL.
"Alright then. Is there anyone here who can explain the formula on the board?"

Ella stared at the formula on the board. Staredddddd. It made sense. KIND OF. But she didn't know how to explain it and the blonde's gaze shifted towards West because really, the younger Snake seemed to understand ALL the things for whatever reason. Yup, he was a total freak of nature. Brilliant hair stroking, quidditch playing, little freak-o.
Anywhoo...
Raising her hand, Ella decided to give it a stab anyway. "Professor, it means that your ability to transfigure something successfully depends upon a number of things. Your concentration and wand-work over the size and strength of said object you're trasfiguring. The unknown element might be...distractions of some kind..." Yeah, the last part was a guess. Did any of this make sense even? Ella wasn't good at formulas. Oh...unless the formula was Ice cream + Gummy worms = Deliciousness. Yeah, she understood that perfectly well.
Taylor flinched, "I apologize for asking, Professor..." Tay lowered her glance and backed away sheepishly. She glanced at the formula and rose her hand, "The different parts of how to do transfiguration and how much they are needed?" She didnt know at all.
When the professor asked about the equation, Kace stood there dumbstruck. He really had no idea what the formula would do or how it would help out in the lesson. He sat there and listened to what his classmates had to say.
Kace knew his formula, Kace + Basketball= Fun. There it was simple and to the point. It did not have any greek lettering in the equation.
Nigel just stared at the board. Nigel was not sure what the symbols meant. But he had a basic idea about what the goal of the formula was. He should that smart ,at least. He was a ravenclaw. Nigel raised his hand.
"It shows what it takes to get the intended transformation you want. Every time you use a transformation spell"
Nigel hoped she explained the formula in detail. It did seem interesting.

"Hey Professor!" Whatever your name is. He was going to have to pay attention when it came to names.
He immediately spotted Z and made his way ovr to her. "Gryffindor have lost five points. Was it you?" A relevant qustion especially if you knew Zahra Kettleburn like he did.
Oh hey. Zahra PUNCHED Mikey playfully. "NO. You did, I bet." HAHAHA. Zahra surveyed the class, deemed THAT AREA OVER THERE Gryffindor, and sat. Close to Mikey. Who she leaned over to talk AT. She didn't touch her TOYS though, since they weren't TOYS. Sure LOOKED like toys to her though.
"Dare you to touch yours." To Mikey.
"Hey man." WHISPERING. "You know how to read formulas?" Was that necessary to turn rats into lamps and stuff? Oh man.
