"Please do," he responded with a nod. Though, had he just given her extra leverage if he did fall out of favour? Cos then she'd know that blinding him would be worse than scars? Nah. He was just overthinking it, right? See, Ravenclaw. "Explosions, huh?" Sounded intriguing. "What's the best explosion you've made?" He couldn't remember seeing any holes in walls, but he hadn't exactly be looking for destroyed parts of the castle.

He looked unconvinced. Funny that, really. "I dunno. You seem to know vaguely more than I do. And..." He drifted off, as he saw that frown, becoming interested in his lap once more. He didn't know where this was going any more, or where he might want to go. But then she caught him with there question. He looked up slowly, barely noticing her raised eyebrows. "With the right girl, sure," he answered truthfully. "At least to try it. But definitely not any hags or banshees." Juuuust putting that one out there.

Benjy laughed. "I could do, I guess. But I've had him for four years now...it's just the way we roll." He wasn't actually mean to the toad. Flipper was well fed, and generally well looked after. Maybe he should think about getting some to go alongside his toad though. Something a little more...stroke-able.

He beamed. "I like your outlook on things, Lex." It was just so chilled and positive. "I reckon you'll love skateboarding." There was just something about the feeling of movement, falling down and getting back up, and then nailing that trick. It felt like it might be her kind of vibe too. "I've often thought about trying Quidditch..." He just hadn't got round to it. Maybe he should.

"I really don't think you have anything to worry about. You'd have to do something really bad to annoy me because I consider you a friend. Now then, that being said, you'd find your face rearranged if you did anything really bad." Lex flashed him a sweet smile but she meant. every. word. of. it. Oh merlin, the were talking about explosions now. She was practically grinning. "Nigel, Mika and I set off a whole bunch of stuff by the lake. It was EPIC...er...until the Grounds Keeper showed up. I lost 20 points but it was worth it."

Hm? Her? Knowing more than him. "I don't think so but if I do it's because I ask a lot of questions, even when people beg me to stop or tell me it's not appropriate to ask." Then you had those times when information was volunteered even though she wished the person would SHUT UP! No Mika name Mika calling though Mika. Uh-huh....his next answer..."How will you know?"

Whoooa. "Four years?! Getting rid of him's no good. There'll be some attachment thing going for you two." He could have mentioned that earlier, jeez. She'd leave it be then. He liked the toad enough. They might have been some good to each other. Maybe.

Alexa grinned at him. "Thanks! No use looking at the negatives, you won't have any fun." She tried not to take anything too seriously. It made life easier. "I think I'll like it too and you'll love Quidditch, it's amazing! You gonna try out next term?" It'd been interesting to see.

Right, point taken Lex. She didn't have to play the good!Lex, bad!Lex card on him. He had understood loud and clear. Especially now she was grinning quite so much at the idea of explosions. "What sort of stuff?" he asked curiously. Must have been epic if it was worth losing that many points for. "They wouldn't be bangs I heard from the common room, would they?"

Yeah, he didn't do that sort of questioning. He learnt stuff from books, mainly because his Mum didn't like to be pestered, and he had tended to be the unsocial type. "How would I know she's right?" He pondered it. "I wouldn't. But if she wanted to do it too, and we shared common interests, it'd be a good start." He blushed at that. It almost seemed, well, too thought out.

Benjy shrugged. "It goes along the lines: he runs off, I chase after him, we share a moment, and then it repeats. I think he just likes exploring." He hoped that was it, anyway.

He grinned too. Big wide grins. "And what's life if you're not having fun?" he agreed. Though somehow, he reckoned Lex took fun to a whole new level. "I'm looking forward to sharing it with you." He wrinkled his nose. "I doubt I'll be good enough to try it out. And that'd be if Mum let me... I'll like to have a go though. For fun."

Lex never figured he'd be one to care so much about the details of stuff. She gave a small shrug. "Old stuff mostly, like this wheel I found half buried behind the barn, oh and there was this desk that was missing a leg. The important part is the loud BOOM they all made...apparently too loud because they woke the Grounds Keeper and left my ears hurting so much that I had to go see the Healer." Not one of her best moments. "You heard them?" As loud as they were she never thought they were that loud.

She propped her elbows on her legs then rested her head in her palms as she thought that over. "I never gave it that much thought. Sounds like you have it all figured out then. Found anyone like that yet?" He didn't have to answer if he didn't want to but Lex asked questions almost out of compulsion. It was a habit she had no interest in kicking. A lot of people probably had that all worked out before they went snogging. She'd have to ask Vivi...or Alice.

What an odd relationship he had with his toad. "That's actually adorable. I bet you get to do lots of exploring because of him, don't you?" It would help him get more acquainted with the castle. It was through Felix that she knew where most everything was.

Skateboarding would be awesome, that was decided but what was this about his mother not approving. Lex wrinkled her nose, mirroring him. "And how would she know? You'll be gone for nearly an entire year, I can't see her finding out unless you grow a conscience and fess up when you get home." But he wouldn't tell, right? He was a Ravenclaw, he would have seen how dumb that was.

He nodded as she explained, wondering quite how she'd pulled that off and only getting found out at the boom stage. "Didn't you figure that one might happen?" Have an escape route, maybe? Regardless. "Maybe? It is a long way to the tower though, so maybe not." There were probably any numbers of things in the forbidden forest that made loud noises. He didn't even know when she'd made the boom!

Benjy blushed. "N-not at all." He replied, his voice stuttering. "Just guessing, that's all." He rubbed the nape of his neck. "There'd be no point testing it with someone who didn't want to, cos that wouldn't be a fair test." Logically speaking. And if you're going to that step, why not make sure it's some you get on with? Ahem. Anyone he knew? He rubbed his lips together once more, and watched her quietly. "Maybe. Hard to tell. You?"

Benjt patted his toad lightly on the head, before putting him gently in his lap. "If crawling under the house tables and getting dusty is what you call 'exploring', then sure." He rolled his eyes. "He's not lead me to somewhere exciting, or any new discoveries as of yet."

He coughed. "If anyone spilled, it'd be Garrick. Or just me getting hurt." However the means, his mother would find out, he was sure of it. "Is it hard to pick up? I've flown before, but that's about it." He'd watched a fair bit though. And he was eager to give it a go.

"Honestly? No, we didn't figure on getting caught. It was kinda early in the morning, we'd gone far enough away from the castle and the man's hut, only made small...ish explosions too." All necessary precautions but apparently the Grounds Keeper was an early riser. Bleh, it didn't matter. They'd blown up quite a bit before he showed up. "Well...like I said they weren't that big, you wouldn't have." No big deal. She could blow something else up next term, she'd even invite him next time.

He'd been blushing a lot, she'd noticed and if it was Aidan she would have pointed that out ages ago. Guess this made him lucky? Probably not seeing she was just as distracted. He had a point about the fair test thing. If she wasn't willing but someone tried, they'd lose a few teeth. "Oh? Maybe?" She was about to wiggle her eyebrows at him but then the question was turned to her. "I dunno." Was that the truth? It sounded like it so she'd go with it. "I guess I just never really gave it much thought." That was definitely the truth. It wasn't something she actively thought about.

The fact that his toad never led him anywhere epic was a problem. "That sucks. You should try prodding him toward danger. You said it yourself, he doesn't know what's good for him, he won't turn back. If you get caught, tell them your toad had gotten away from you." It worked...most times...so long as you weren't her...yeah.

Alexa's expression fell again, this time, it held more than a hint of annoyance. "How very nice of your cousin, real keeper that one." And he wouldn't break his leg because? "It's the easiest thing in the world once you get the hand of it. The chances of you getting seriously injured are slim so no worries there." No excuses either Benjy. She was hauling him to tryouts come September.
