Kaiden looked at the headboy and frowned. "Memo? No I didn't get a memo. I just heard Quidditch run, and stopped listening after that. I thought I was supposed to go to the pitch." The boy yawned, and then looked around seeing everyone stretching. Well... he had already done a bit of jogging to get here, but stretching couldn't hurt. Raising his leg, he reached behind him and held it up, stretching the muscles there, and then did the same with the other leg.

Tobias was totally right about the stamina thing and Ella gave the first year an approving smile before Kaiden wandered over to the group. He looked tired and Ella just hoped he wasn't a grumpy morning person. This was meant to be fun, yeah?

The blonde was sure she'd said the Whomping Willow when she'd mentioned working out but before she could comment, Oakey was on the case. The sixteen year old gave him a small smile before adding, "Well you're here now and that means we can start!" GRIN!

Ella took a swig from her water bottle and then jumped up and down a couple of times, loosening up a bit. She then waved the rest of them on. "Alright, you lot, let's get going! We'll do some interval training, okay? That just means we'll start out slow, sprint a bit, then go slow again. Just erm...follow my lead, I guess? " And she waited until everyone was good and ready before heading off towards the right of where they had been resting.

Minerva beamed at everyone and bounced around a bit ready to get moving.. Oh this was fun and exciting and fun.. did she think fun already.. well it was fun. Her badgers were awesome and amazing.. "All of you are awesome!! This is super.. What a great idea.. It was amazing to think of.. Great Job Ella." Was that getting her point across.. She wasn't sure... Oh but Kaiden seemed a bit cranky she bounced over...[b] "Kaiden no frown faces here.. Mouse wants happy faces." She beamed at him... Come on K... smile!!

It was time to start.. YIPPPEEEE.. Minerva was never really one for jogging, but this was a team thing and she had so much energy right now... LET'S GO LET'S GO... GO GO GO .. Looking around was everyone here she hoped they were yeah they needed to start or maybe she would wonder near the Willow for some training. "Hey we could always dodge the Willow.. It's like dodging bludgers." Yep.. yep.. yep.. dodging bludgers was a good thing. Her hand went to her head thinking about the bludgers.


Oh..oh.. it was time to go... sweet... She took off behind Ella... "Go now... Go now..." She giggled as she jogged.

So Ella wanted to get this group started.....

He was PUMPED to do it. He was jumping on the balls of his feet waiting to run. He was glad they were starting off slow. He was glad to also see Kaiden showed up. He did seem a little cranky but maybe the exercise would do him some good. Get rid of the stress. Even Minnie seemed happy to go. He was feeding off her energy right now.

He went behind Ella and Minnie all ready to go, "I am ready Ella. Let's do this thing." He had really good stamina so hopefully he won't be too tired while running. At least he hoped....

Wade was psyched already to get started. He beamed at Kaiden who had finally made it, "Glad you found us, mate." He actually beamed at everyone who was bouncing away in giddyness. He continued stretching just a liiiitttttle bit more, before Ella asked for everyone.

"Ready when you are." Folding his arms to rest his hands against his curly hair. Yeep, lead the way Captain Ella.

"Hu-hug a b-b-burning plant?"

His voice was very small and frightful, even his eyes portrait the emotion as he looked at his newly found friend. "A-are you okay?" he asked because he KNEW what she was going through. Merlin it happened to him ten years ago and he was still battling with the fear. He of course didn't hug a burning plant but his whole house had caught fire while he was still inside when he was a little boy.

He stopped eating the ice cream and after cleaning his plastic spoon with a scourgify charm he placed it back in his school bag. He didn't feel like eating now despite that it was ice cream. He needed to change the subject and apparently Minerva thought so too.

Why he was blushing? "I'm not blushing!" the nearly eighteen year old stammered as his cheeks flushed a deep shade of red again that spread out towards his neck and ears.

Now he DEFINITELY needed a different subject or else he was going to embarrass himself even more. He scratched the back of his non-itching neck and listened to what Minerva was saying. "Chicken game? what's that?" no really..what was that game? O__o


He was waiting for Min to explain what the game was about when he heard another female voice call out his and her name. A ravenclaw...oh wait, "Hiya Erin" he grinned and patted the grass next to him. "We were about to play this chicken game...i have no idea how its played though.."

THAT DID NOT MAKE HIM OLD RIGHT?!

Along her way she went, still carving away at her gandr. Now it didn't look so empty but she knew she still had lots to do so she wouldn't even try kidding herself. Book and gandr in one hand, wand in the other she found herself approaching the whomping willow. Such a nice tree. She liked this tree. Er...but she wasn't here to visit today. Lex plopped down at a safe distance and threw open her text.

Isa would be the next rune to be carved. Representative of masculinity, of authority, elineation and circumcision. Also represents a circumcision of action through the weather. Anything to do with authority. It is also good for dealing with conflict, and for magically gathering allies [who must be your equals, or nearly so]. It can also uncover enemies. Yeah it was useful but she was still wrinkling her nose at the authority bit. No thanks. If she could choose she would leave it out but this had to be a 'neutral' gandr or whatever. Eh. "Itaglio isa isa isa." That was one of the easier ones to carve.

Next up, Jera. Comfort; harmony with others. A symbol of right thoughts and right action leading to right results, a culmination of efforts over a long period of time. Seemed legit, granted it meant little to her but details details. "Itaglio jera jera jera." Concentraaaating, that's what she was doing, as with the others.

Moving on!!! Eihwaz. She...she didn't know whether this one was familiar or not. On the one hand it seemed like that but then...it seemed real odd and unknown. She didn't know what to think...Protection of oneself and one's rights. Sweeeeeet. She was fine with adding this one. "Itaglio eihwaz eihwaz eihwaz." Woot! Another one down!

Perthro...THAT she'd never heard of before. This gandr thing was an eye opener. So many runes that she didn't know and wouldn't remember when this was all done! Merlin! It opens or provides a barrier to the dark forces including the realms of the dead. It confronts us with our weaknesses, our failures, and our regrets. It makes us deal with the question of what we would do if we died now. You know...this one was...it was kinda scary...yeah..."Itaglio perthro perthro perthro." Scary rune done away with. What was next.

Oh right, Algiz. What was this one all about again? Every possible form of protection from every possible source of danger is Algiz's domain. Protection and defense, physical or spiritual, personal or collective.

Whoa...she was rushing to get this one on her wand!!! "Itaglio algiz algiz algiz. WAS IT ON RIGHT???

Minerva bit her lip and nodded. It was hard to believe a professor would do that, but she did and it happened. Minerva was having the nightmares of fire to remind her nightly. "I've been better... I mean the flame didn't hurt me, just my robes, shoes, and hair." Which was enough of the mental for a life time she hoped. "But I'll be alright, promise." She was always alright. She had been through a lot and if she could deal with half of that a burning plant wasn't going to stop her.. she hoped.

Noticing how uncomfortable the conversation was making Daichi she sighed, he stopped eating ice cream because of her. That should be a crime to make someone stop eating ice cream. Taking a few more bites of the pink goodness she gave him a weak smile. "You aren't going to eat anymore?" A small pout crossed her lips before another smile. Yes what happened was horrible, but the ice cream seemed to be helping. A great comfort food it was.

She laughed as he tried to hide the blush and Minerva touched his cheek.. "Dude.. You're blushing big time.. " It was kind of cute on him really... She chuckled and then looked up when he asked about the game. Before she could explain she heard another voice, [b] "Erin!! Hey.. I feel like haven't seen you in ages. What are you doing?"[b] She looked up at the claw. "We were just eating this ice cream and yes I was telling him about my little game." How to explain this game, she probably shouldn't start off with she did it because she was so upset about her parents death and it made her take her mind off the hurt. No she wouldn't say that.. "Well..." She jumped up and got a little closer to the tree. "You get as close as you can and pay attention because.." She stepped closer and just as many times before the Willow took a swing and she jumped out of the way just in time. "You have to see who moves first you or the willow... FYI make sure it's you... It's been great quidditch training really.. It hits about as hard as the bludgers."

Taking a sip of her water Minerva watched as they were all getting ready to start. So they were going to start slow and move to a faster job. She could handle that.. she thought. Not much for running or jogging, but it was quidditch season so she should be in some sort of shape to do this, right. "Aye Aye Captain" She giggled and bounced as Ella said about getting ready to start.


She watched as some started and for some reason she had just stayed standing and bouncing on her toes. "Oh.. wait for me" She began jogging. As she jogged along trailing a bit behind the rest since she started late Minerva laughed. Their team had to be one of the best in bonding and friendship. They had done so much together this term. It was a wonderful feeling to have such great teammates and friends. Decided to help the jog along she started singing soft kitty and laughing through most of it.

Intervals. Tobias didn't really know what that meant because he'd never really been very knowledgable about properly exercising... he just liked to move about a lot and that just happened to BE exercising. But like he never really knew properly about stretch either, possibly because he moved a lot EVERY DAY and his muscles were used to it.

Or magic. Toby was gonna go with magic.

OKAY THEY WERE STARTING YES GOOD OKAY.

As everyone else took off Tobias went after them, but he was going too quickly. Soon enough he had already overtaken and had to slow down. But Tobias had two main speeds when he wasn't stationary (which was rare anyway) and they were walking and sprinting. He tried to slow down to the pace of everyone else but found it difficult to learn how to go at this speed. He knew, however, that if he sprinted for the same amount of time that everyone jogged he... would probably collapse from exhaustion.

Eventually he managed to slow himself down, though his jogging gait was really weird because he really had to focus on what his feet were doing. Staring down rather than straight ahead was useful though... he was concentrating on his feet and not in front so he had to be careful which slowed him down. WIIIIIIN. Still, Tobias was eager for Ella to shout for them to sprint very soon.

"Anytime!" he said to Kace, grinning, "I've been great, thanks! Erm... just the usual boring stuff. How've you been, mate?" They were mates, right? Yeah? It was acceptable to call him mate? ... He hoped so! And... he was pretty sure that he had called him mate before.

Streeeeeetch!

Alec sent a grin and a wave over towards Kaiden but before he could say something along the lines of a greeting... they... seemed to be getting started? They were running? Standing up, the sixteen year old stretched some more before jogging on after little Tobias who... seemed to be speeding ahead. Man, that boy was fast! And quite a bit smaller than Alec but still FAST.

And Alec... was just... running at the back of the crew. Slowly. Steadily. Like a Grandpa.

Ella was jogging along, hoping her team was following along behind her. They could run beside her too, y'know. She wasn't really used to leading things. Yeah, she'd been the captain and everything but she wasn't a fitness instructor or anything. Merlin, she could barely do yoga! Why had she thought this up again?

And while she was running, the sixteen year old saw little Tobias ZOOOOM right past the group with impressive speed. "Merlin!" She said to nobody in particular, watching as she continued on at a steady pace. It was almost time to speed up.

Almost....


time to..........


"Alright, let's SPRINT!"

And she took off.

Kace was talking to Alec. He asked how he has been. Kace shrugged and said, "Nothing too much dude, just been writing to family and desperately keeping up in classes and homework. I am the definition of procrastination when the year ends." Then he heard Ella moving on with the team meet up.

Alright so he was keeping with Ella and the rest of the team. It wasn't so bad actually. He realized he was really in shape. He wasn't out of breath or his legs weren't burning. He was smiling and jogging in the front. He hoped he wasn't showing off....

Nahh he didn't think so. Everyone of his team was doing the same pace as he was. Some were doing even slower and there wasn't anything wrong with that. Maybe he should go to the back and reserve some of his energy.....

Then he saw Ella commanding them to sprint. She was dashing in front of them. He smirked and then dashed as fast as she was. She did have longer legs than she did, but he had SPEED. He loved feeling the wind in his hair and the adrenaline pumping in his veins. He even felt the stress leave his body. He even saw Tobias speeding up in front of the team and realized he wasn't the only one that was built for speed.

Wade had been jogging along.. not as fast as little Tobi, of course. WOOSH! He could feel a gust of wind as he ran on by, making him chuckle. He looked around at the others, hmm?

Alec, whysoslow? Wade couldn't help but smirk at the grand idea, as he slowed his pace just a little at a time so it looked like he was getting tired..until Alec jogged ahead of him.

"Aye, aye, Captain Ella!" Are you ready for this? Too bad if not, cause the next thing Wade did. He held his hands out, leaning slightly before he pressed them into Alec's back. BLAST OFFF!! Pushing him as they both now ran off ahead of everyone else towards Tobi. Catch us if you can, heh.

Minerva was in the back of the group since she had started late, but that was alright because she could watch them all. They were being so funny and Kitty just did a weird airplane thing, but it looked fun. Minerva laughed, "IS KITTY AN AIRPLANE NOW? I'm going to be an airplane too." She laughed harder and put her arms out.. "KACE... ZOOOOOM... ZOOOOOMMMM KACE." yes she was shouting, but she was behind so she had to for them to hear her.

"Kitty need a song?" She laughed and started singing "SOFT KITTY WARM KITTY KITTY ZOOMING FAR.. HAPPY KITTY HYPER KITTY PURR PURR PURR" She laughed at her new version of the kitty song, but it had to be happier, they were jogging not sleeping.. No one could sleep when they were jogging.. Jogging was more fun!!!

WHAT?

SPRINT?

Tobias had been so focused on trying to slow down that when Ella DID eventually shout he got all confused and nearly stopped still. He slowed right now and then the order finally registered in his mind and he made to speed up again with a squeal of glee. MY TIME TO SHINE.

He'd been going for a sprint every single day since coming here. He used to sprint away from his pursuers after he'd pranked people or played practical jokes at school. Running from mischief was something he had always been good at, AND NOW HE COULD USE THAT SKILL.

Glad that he no longer had to try and slow down, Tobias stopped concentrating on doing so and let his legs go at full speed. SO MUCH ENERGY AND IT WAS ALL IN HIS LEGS.

SPRINTSPRINTSPRINTSPRINTSPRINT.

And even a little LEAP into the air at one point.

AWESOME TIME WAS AWESOME.

As Kace was sprinting, he noticed someone saying his name. He turned around while still jogging and noticed Minnie was in the back. He chuckled when she was saying for him to zoom. "Will do Minnie! I shall zoom like a racecar!" he joked with her. Then he ran even faster. "Come on you can catch up!" he encouraged her. Then he saw Wade catching up and he heard Minnie calling him Kitty. He chuckled at that. I guess that was his nickname now.

He even noticed Tobias was sprinting. He caught up with him and said, "Hey do you wanna race....?" but before he could even finish his sentence he saw Tobias do a leap. The leap was pretty awesome. He had to admit. "Nice leaping skills you got there." he said. Maybe he should try it? N'aww it was Tobi's thing.

What? Who was that?

Tobias glanced to the side of him and saw Kace there, asking something about racing. He didn't say anything, just shook his head 'no' (which was really hard to do whilst sprinting). The Hufflepuff was focusing on putting all his energy into sprinting, so talking wasn't the best idea. AND he was trying to focus on not falling over. In any case, he didn't want to try and go and super super super top speed because then he wouldn't be able to breathe when they did the jogging, so he wouldn't be able to recover for the NEXT sprint. He wanted to communicate this to Kace, but it wasn't a good idea to try while sprinting, so he waited.

Toby did, however, just focus on a point straight ahead of him and put all his focus into running at the horizon, glancing down every now and then to make sure he wouldn't trip or mow down a sleeping groundskeeper. His muscles protested slightly and he could feel the burn in his lungs...

... and it was AWESOME.

The first year mainly tried to listen out for Ella's voice. He figured they were all right behind, but it was super easy to not hear someone when you were running, and then he'd end up sprinting off and not stopping.

Which would probably be hilarious for everyone else.

Ella was laughing and sprinting and it was really hard, okay? Like...really hard. The sixteen year old shook her head and continued on, building up speed as she went. It felt good to be running again for fun.

She supposed it was about time they slowed back down and besides, the whole laughing and running thing had made her pretty winded. She needed a chance to catch her breath. The blonde smiled and settled into a moderate jog, enjoying the day. This was nice, being with her team like this.

"Yeah? How is the family?" Belle and everyone? ... Belle. It had been almost a year since that girl had left Hogwarts. And to think it'd be more people at the end of this term... and then even more next term... and then he'd be one of the graduates the term afterwards. Yeah... this was happening way too quickly.

The fifth year was so lost in his own thoughts that he didn't realise Wade was slipping behind too. ... That... was kind of weird not to notice since Wade was VERY VERY VERY tall. Taller than Alec, even, and Alec was pretty sure he was quite a tall kid of sixtee--

OOMPH!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!

HE WAS BEING PUSHED FORWARDS BY... BY... OH HEY, CURLY WADE! Alec let out a small chuckle before stretching his arms forward and half-running, half-letting-Wade-push-him-forwards, in an attempt to make the two of them look like... get this... SUPERMAN. Yep. They were like Superman but... with really ruffly hair. And to set the superhero mood even more, the Hufflepuff started humming the Superman theme tune out loud.

They were meant to jog now? BUT CAPTAIN GIRLFRIEND.

After he sprinted and got all his energy out, Kace decided it was time to jog. Good thing Ella called jog because he could relax his lungs and legs. They did feel somewhat sore but he would deal with that later. It felt amazing to feel the breeze between his hair and sweaty clothes. He looked back and the rest of the team was somewhat behind. He didn't think he was running that fast...or maybe he was....he jogged a little slower pace to keep up with the team.

Though this carving thing was kinda boring. Or it got boring after the five rune, especially when some insist on NOT being carved immediately. Yet, it was better than thinking of essays and all. So she'd live till finishing those carves. She was almost done anyway. The snake headed towards the whomping willow though stopped at a safe distance from the tree. Or like, faaaaaaaaar away from the tree. She wasn't interested in getting whacked.

The fourth-year chose a spot and settled down. It took her awhile shifting until she found a comfortable position to sit. Once she did, she retrieved the branch along with the wand. She stared at it trying to remember what to do then remembered to get the list out. She really didn't remember what runes she'd carved and what she hadn't. there were a lot of them she wouldn't have possibly remembered, would she? She liked to believe the answer was no and that it wasn't only her that found it hard to pronounce some of them. Some were a mouthful and she ended up wrinkling parts of her face that had nothing to do with talking. That's why this assignment was better done alone!

And starting! "Intglio Nauthiz..Nauthiz..Nauthiz…" Eyes on branch, and she almost didn't notice the rune appearing. Stupid, looking at another part from where she pointed the wand. Anyway, moving on to the next rune, "Intaglio Dagaz.." This rune had a stupid name, did it know? "Dagaz…Dagaz.." She kept repeating a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth until it appeared. And the carving wasn't that neat but that the best she could manage.

Though she kept on until she was done with three more and then she hit her boredom state. Her cue to pack her stuff, get up and have a stroll around. Though, she did accomplish something.

That's right fellow Quidditch athletes, Super Hair-Rufflers Alec and Wade were zooming off at the speed of light! ...Or at least trying to. This was quite a work out for the seventeen-year old. Sprinting while pushing one of his best mates, who more than likely weighed around ten stone and was only a few inches shorter than himself. So he needed to PUUUUSHHH!

"I want to get away, I want to flyyyyy awaaaaaay!" Wade was laughing along with everyone, especially at Minnie Mouse's awesome remix to his lullaby along with Alec humming the Superman theme. He joined right in by adding rythmic purring to the mix, because they were going to catch up to the leaping firstie brothers up ahead. Wasn't that a cute sight? The hair rufflers now were only missing their Quidditch robes for the cape effect.. Not that Wade minded just who had possession of his at the moment. Heh.

..Now they had to jog. Aww.. and they were just getting into the speed. Wade turned to look back.. Oh gee, no wonder they were going to jog now. They were right in the middle of the huge gap of distance between Captain Ella and little Tobi and Kace. Maybe the little ones will come back to them? Yes? No? Maybe so? "Guess I better get you back," Wade winked knowingly at Alec before he returned to pushing him at usual jogging pace.. the other way? Wait, where are you taking him Wade? It looks like Minnie, Oakey, and Kaiden better watch out, he's making a special delivery towards the Captain.

What did Captain say.. She didn't hear her over her own singing.. Yes she was singing that loud, but as she saw everyone else sprinting Minerva groaned... SPRINTING.. Why did they have to sprint.. Minerva couldn't help but laugh as she started sprinting.. ewww maybe she shouldn't have eaten so much of that ice cream.. She felt a bit sick at the moment from running and all that sugar in her.


As she sprinted she heard purring which made her laugh and sing the new soft kitty even louder and of course faster since they were sprinting. Captain then said to jog again, Thank you Merlin because Minerva was going to die sprinting. Whoever invented sprinting should be forced to eat five candy bars, because obviously they probably didn't eat sweets to actually like to do something like that.

Jogging around she saw Wade pushing Alec.. towards.. Ella.. What on earth was her Kitty doing...

WHEW. Jogging, yes. Good idea, Ella.

Tobias slowed down his pace and found it a lot easier to do so now. He was a tad bit sweaty and his muscles were FEELING it but it was a GOOD kind of feeling it because he seemed to be getting MORE energy from all the exhileration.

Breathing deeply to make sure the oxygen got ALLLLLLLL the way into his body, Tobias took the cap off his bottle of water and guzzled some down. He also slowed down to a walk, just until he could get back in step with his teammates, at which point he recapped the bottle and started jogging along with them again.

Honestly, his feet hurt more than anything. Tobias was alright with the breathing thing and his muscles were okay... but ow ow ow his FEET. Vaguely he wondered if he was finally starting to grow out of his shoes... they did pinch a bit.

Anyway, jogjogjog. All the focus was BACK on the jogging.

And the, you know, breathing.

This was really nice. Ella didn't even mind that her legs were quite tired. The sixteen year old was enjoying being out on the grounds with her team and running was a good way to clear her head. Maybe it was time to sprint again? How long had it been, anyway? The blonde glanced down at her watch to check. She should also check on how her teammates were doing, yeah? Yeah.

She was looking around, trying to get an idea of how the others were holding up, when she noticed Wade and Alec headed in her direction.

The blonde was jogging too fast and they were jogging right at her and before she knew it, the sixteen year old had jogged right into Alec and Wade, sending them all to the ground.
