The legendary portable swamp created by Fred and George Weasley was once large enough to consume the entire middle section of the first floor corridor, leading from the Dark Arts office to the History of Magic classroom. Nowadays, only a small section of the corridor is roped off in tribute of the redhead twins' swamp, but it is a historic section nonetheless.
The remaining swamp still SMELLS like authentic swamp, LOOKS like authentic swamp, BUBBLES like authentic swamp, and will suck you in like an authentic swamp, if you so wish to step in it. Avoid the swamp with care is the best advice you should heed while on the first floor, especially if you're running late to class.
The young girl sat still still on the ground and tried to not think about all the dirt she was covered with and felt suddenly how all the dirt had left her clothes! Quickly she opened her eyes and the first thing she did was looking at her clothes of they were really clean and mud-free! And they were! “Thank you professor!” Sonea was so happy that she would have hugged the professor if he had been a student and not a adult! But his next question startled Sonea.
But, she needed to tell the truth, and the truth was… “I- My name is Sonea Duvessa and... What Forrest is telling is true but… He used his wand at the swamp, he wanted to know if this was a real swamp or not, but I don’t think that he had done it on purpose professor, so please don’t punish him, he is just a first year…” Sonea swallowed and did a few steps away from the swamp, afraid that she would be dirty again and she realized that she still smelled like the swamp, she smelled like something really dirty! “We were just sitting here, I told Forrest what I knew about the swamp and that it was created by the Weasley brothers, and then… This happened!” Sonea stopped and stared at her own feet, she really felt bad about this and she was afraid that not only Forrest would be in trouble but she also, because she was with him and she was older… She had needed to stop him when she saw that he wanted to use his wand, but… She didn’t knew what he wanted to do!

BETRAYER! She gave him in just like that! He just looked at her in disbelief and slight fear. Luckily, his face was ALL muddy too so NONE of his face expressions could be read. Her words, though, they opened a visible hole in his heart. Right in there. Wanna stick your hand in there too, you Slytherin? Hmmm?
Alexa had been right about Slytherins. They were the WORST people in this castle. He'd had the bad luck of meeting four of them, and three had let him down in some way. Only, Kahlan proved to be a charmer--and that was because she was a first year and hadn't been poisoned yet. So, trying to ignore the stiffening mud that stretched his skin, he just stood there silently and waited what the professor would do. If the man decided to punish him in a way... Bring it on.
Hysteria diverted Leo turned to the boy that was equally covered in mud from head to toe but surprisingly not complaining. Come to think of it the boy had gotten oddly quiet but the looks he gave the other girl spoke volumes when she spilled what he/they had been doing. The boy felt betrayed which was hardly surprising. But going by the girls green robes it wasn’t hard to understand why she so quickly had sold him out. Slytherin’s were famous for putting their own best first and others second. Pointing his wand at the boy’s cloth Leo said confidently. "Tergeo." All the mud dispersed from the clothes.
Pocketing his wand in his holster Mr Kitridge said. "It’s a pleasure to meet you both. I’m Mr Leobald Kitridge; the school librarian." He gave the swamp a brief glance before he commented to the boy with a wink. “I guess your burning urge to know if the swamp was real has been answered. The swamp is very much alive.” Considering that it had splattered them in mud.
"I will not give either of you a punishment today. Some harmless experimenting is no grounds for a punishment. If you want to know more about the swamp Forrest I suggest that you talk to Professor Bentley."

Forrest was clean at last but he wasn't grateful or anything. He just offered the man a "Thank you," and shoved his hands inside his pockets awkwardly. Now what? He got a punishment?
...
He wished he hadn't met the librarian this way, but he shrugged off the idea. He hadn't done nothing wrong, there proved the librarian. He nodded but didn't say a word about the autenticity of the swamp, and he certainly wasn't going to discuss this swamp with anyone else.
"Thank you, Mr. Librarian, will do," he said for 'no punishment' and 'Professor Bentley' part--because there was no need to argue about his suggestion. He then looked at both of their faces for a second. Was he allowed to leave? Hesitating for a moment, he just turned around and started to walk towards the stairs.

Finally she saw that the professor cleaned Forrest and she HOPED that he would NOT talk about this, she was ashamed enough that she had been covered with mud and that she STILL smelled like the swamp, but luckily the visible proof that they had been dirty was now gone, thanks to the professor and his cleaning spell.
The professor spoke to them and told them that he was the… school librarian? Yes, she KNEW that she had seen him before, but she just didn’t remembered where. But… she didn’t knew him very well, was he friendly and would he give her no punishment for this? Maybe she needed to give him a compliment, just to make sure that he would like her and that she would be not punished!
The second year just opened her mouth to speak, just when professor Leobald Kitridge started to talk again, and he... didn’t seemed to be angry or disappointed with them! “Of course it’s real, we were covered in mud” said Sonea in a whisper and glanced with a dark look in her eyes at Forrest, he had DONE this to her!
No punishment? Oh, this was GOOD! She even didn’t needed to give the professor a few compliment or to fake a innocent appearance…! The young girl smiled briefly and nodded to the professor, “Thank you, professor” She faked again a bright smile and walked quickly away from him, in another direction than Forrest, she DIDN’T wanted to see him at the moment, no she needed first a shower, a toothbrush, a new pair of clothes and THAN she would think what she would do next!
Forrest wasn't that type of the kid to follow anonymous letters, but this particular one had got him curious. It might be from Kahlan--whom he hadn't seen for a long time. He wondered how she had been, and he was convinced it was from her. Or maybe Professor Flamsteed--though he doubted the man sent such letters. But who knew? Maybe he wanted to surprise him or something... Yeah. So he waited patiently in front of the swamp and tried to look at both ends of the corridor at once.

It was time for het to take revenge on Forrest… It was now or never! The young girl had a piece of parchment in her hand where she could read for one last time which spell she needed to use and folded the parchment. She pointed her wand at herself and spoke the spell:
“Protaygoh”(Protego) whispered Sonea and she saw that the spell had worked. She had protected herself so that nothing could happen to her. She also knew that it was possible that she would get a detention for what she wanted to do but she didn’t care. But where she really cared about was her pride, she WANTED to make sure that nobody, not even Forrest, would cover her with mud again! Yes, she had accepted it that she could get in trouble! But, it was worth it!
With her wand in her hand she slowly tiptoed toward the swamp and where Forrest was standing, her ENEMY! She remembered what the swamp had done the last time when somebody had tried to use magic on it and she pointed her wand at the swamp, knowing that the swamp would try to attack them both, but she was safe, she had used a spell to protect herself! Forrest would be the person who would be attacked, not she! She spoke quickly a random spell and pointed her wand at the swamp and… Yes! The swamp started to bubble and a golf of mud was now rolling toward them!

Okay, so being the most easily distracted person on earth, Forrest was actually busy examining the edge of the swamp again. He had sat down closely to it and was bending over it, watching every bubble, every piece of mud--
SHLSHLSDDSA.
It ATTACKED him for NO REASON!
He had been drenched in mud before, but this time it was worse. MUCH MUCH WORSE. Because this time, he wasn't even prepared for the attack. It hunted him--okay, it was obvious he didn't want to be examin--
Was that Sonea?
After two seconds of shock, he had lifted his head up as his anger level was rising slowly, and his eyes fell on Sonea SAVED from mud bath standing only a few metres away. Breathing heavily, he simply got up and without any warnings whatsoever, started to RUN to the girl as if his life hung on catching her.

“Hahaha!” Laughed Sonea while she saw how Forest had been covered with mud, AGAIN! This was REALLY too good to be true! Finally she had showed that STUPID boy that nobody was allowed to be un respectful toward her. No… Sonea was MUCH better than that boy, she was a Slytherin and she was born in a GOOD family, not a stupid, fitly muggle family like Forest. And yes, she had heard that he was a Muggleborn, she had done her homework. If she didn’t liked somebody, she would make sure that she knew as much as possible about that person and it was absolutely NOT a good thing that he was a Muggleborn, Muggles were stupid and she had learned from her mom and dad that they were a shame for the wizarding world! And… she now knew that her parents were right, this boy WAS a shame and she was HAPPY that they didn’t liked each other, she would have been so humiliated if somebody would have seen them together!
The second year old laughed harder when she saw the face expression from Forest and almost cried from the laughter! “HAHAHA! This is SO FUNNY! A Mudblood covered in MUD! Hey, MUDBLOOD, do you like it to be COVERED with MUD!?” Joked Sonea mean while she pointed at Forest. But… What did he now? Why was he running at… Quickly Sonea ducked away and ran toward the swamp, relieved that she had her pink plastic hand cloves on and GRABBED a hand full with mud and threw it at Forest, who was still running toward her!

Laughing? Was she laughing?! If Forrest had any fears of detention before, all his reservations dissolved at her laugh and he lost all his wits. He had focused on only one thing: launching on her and covering her in mud too. He knew the effect it had on her and even the headmistress couldn't stop him now. He wasn't the eight year old kid they picked up at school anymore. He didn't even care where he was hit with those mud she threw at him, and he didnt even hear her insults. He just ran the short distance quickly and head-bumped into her as he yelled a "AAAARGHH!" in the process--much like he was in a war. He was a fast runner, and she was stupid enough to stand there while he ran, so...

TAKE IT, FILTHY SLYTHERIN.
Her smile vanished when she saw that Forrest didn’t cared that he was hit by her mud and he ran even faster at her! Now a little worried she did a step backwards but Forrest was faster. “Ouch!” The second year old let out a shocked scream and one single tear was visible in the corner of her right eye. “YOU STUPID COW!” Screamed Sonea while she launched herself at the boy, wanting to grab his hair. “DON’T YOU DARE TO TOUCH ME AGAIN WITH YOU FILTY HANDS! STUPID MUDBLOOD! The second year old tried to push the boy toward the swamp, hoping that he would fall and to be humiliated! And maybe, if she was lucky, he would even cry!

Forrest was just GLAD to hear her scream, and he tried his best to spread as much mud as possible over her. His hands were on her face--not clawing or anything, but simply covering her skin with mud as his other hand tried to hug her tightly to cover her clothes in mud too. And she probably had no luck pulling his hair because it should be pretty slippery because of the mud SHE had caused.
You didn't calculate THIS, eh Slytherin?
"YOU are MUDBLOOD!" he yelled back at her as he tried to hug her tightly--he hadn't heard the word before, but it didn't require to be genius to know what they meant. TEARS stung in his eyes, tears of disgrace as he was reminded once again that he was perhaps a second-class wizard. But he wasn't going to cry in front of her. Clutching on her neck as strongly as he could, he just held onto her as if his life depended on it before he lost his balance towards the swamp.
If he fell, he was taking her down with him.

Reason: Typing at 2.30 is baaad DDD:
The cane proceeding him as usual, Botros made his way down from his office to where Feo was supposed to have his daily fun. The Crup was prancing around the old man, he would sprint when his owner took too long to move and then come back for an ear-scratch, head-pet or any other signs of deserved affection. There was so much on the professor's mind, his pet could feel the distracted pets, but it wasn't anything a man would share with... his doggy.

Botros froze on the spot momentarily, shocked by the echo of this word to have come from such young voices. He squinted his eyes and pointed his cane at the two literally dirty kids, "YOU! There!" Oh Merlin, they were falling. The Crup started barking and raaaaaaaaan toward the kids, WOOF WOOF WOOF! Meanwhile the professor waved his cane (i.e. magical staff) and meant for the spell to pull them away from the swamp and to fall on the floor instead. HOPEFULLY he would not be too late. He was speed cane!walking toward them, his cane raised in front of him.

Today, he was not the good ole' Botros.
“DONT TOUCH ME! YOU ARE DISGUSTING!” The second year old tried to slap Forrest in his face, hoping that she could hurt him and that he would let go of her. This was NOT what she had planned, she had not thought about the possibility that he would attack her and would fight with her! No, she hasn’t thought about that, but she was READY for him. She HATED it to be dirty and she HATED it to be covered with mud, again, but what she hated more was that Forrest thought that he was better than she was! And HE WASN'T better than she, no, he would NEVER been better than she!
“I HATE you, stupid cow! You are trash and not worthy to be here! Go back where you belonged and stay there with you STUPID MUDBLOOD family!"
But she wasn’t fast enough and Forrest took her down with him! “AHHHHH!” Screamed Sonea and she tried to kick Forrest with a girlish scream against his leg. But again, it didn’t worked! She already had closed her eyes, preparing herself for the fall in the swamp when something happened. She fell backwards and she landed on the cold floor. “What the…” The young girl turned around and saw one of the professors standing behind her with a dog! The man was old, really old but she was NOT interested in him, she knew that it was stupid to ignore a professor, but she was already in trouble so why would she worry about it? “Stay away old man!” shouted Sonea angry and tried to grab Forrest again, ready to push him again into the swamp! “You have made the wrong Slytherin angry!” Shouted Sonea

Yeah, despite the thick layer of mud, that slap did hurt. Maybe not so physically, but it did hurt emotionally, and she kept insulting him that it was impossible not to hear. It was impossible to ignore. It was impossible not to heed.
You are not worthy to be here...
Face contorted in an effort to hold back the tears, he just closed his eyes to meet the swamp again. His only victory was that Sonea would fall with him--but it didn't feel like they were falling. What? They were supposed to fall to the other side--this felt so hard, surely the swamp would feel soft and muddy. He'd stopped holding onto Sonea since they were falling, and he opened his eyes as she started to shout at an old man too. He blinked, trying to grasp the situation but his wits failed him. Was this a professor? Were they even allowed to have dogs? Would it attack him? He blinked again and eyed Sonea. He wondered whether he should be sitting--and that was the last thing he could muster before he started sobbing, muddy hands covering his muddy face.

Botros reached the two kids on the floor, they were pretty tangled before the fall but now the girl scrambled away and lashed out, while the boy just started crying. Ab felt himself soften at the poor little kid sobbing, Feo, his Crup, stopped barking for there was an urgent mission of licking the chocolate-like face of this human!!! He positioned himself beside the boy and started liiiiicking away.
With another wave of his staff to put more distance between the two kids, Ab stood still and gave the angry girl a stern look, "I am the only one allowed to be openly angry here. Five points for disrespecting a professor. And we're just getting started." He let out a faint sigh of displeasure and ushered for both of them to stand up, his Crup got a little push by the cane but the pet refused to move away from the chocolate-covered boooy! LIIIICK LIIIICK! YUM!push puush puuuuuush. "I need an immediate explanation of what was going on here, and why that degrading word was echoing down the corridor. Now. Speak." He leaned forward on his cane, his face lost some of the sternness already and was replaced by sheer disappointment.
Yeah, despite the thick layer of mud, that slap did hurt. Maybe not so physically, but it did hurt emotionally, and she kept insulting him that it was impossible not to hear. It was impossible to ignore. It was impossible not to heed.

Oh, has it worked, did he… did he really… was Forrest crying!? A smile appeared on her face and she forgot for a moment that her clothes, her face, her hair and almost everything was covered with mud, but the sight that Forrest cried in front of her was AMAZING! Finally had that stupid boy understood what his place was here at Hogwarts, she had done her job excellently!
She now KNEW that her parents would be proud of her, her parents had always told her that the Muggles were a shame of the wizardingworld and that it was very important that the people from a good family, purebloods, never would forget this. The world has changed and normally that would be a good thing, but this change was NOT good, Muggles were not allowed and that had his mother learned her. Her mother was also the person who had told her that the people who were born in a Muggle family and who were studying at a wizarding school were called MUDBLOODS and that they were Filthy and that it was a shame that they were allowed to study at a school like Hogwarts!
But the teacher, she had totally forgotten him, was now standing really close to them and the dog was licking Forrest? EEEUW! That was disgusting! She was happy that the dog was not touching HER! She looked up at the professor and saw that he was angry, and she knew why. She already knew that she was in trouble but she didn’t wanted to give up that easy.
“FIVE POINTS!? That is mean! I haven’t started this, Forrest is the one who had used his wand at the swamp, he had tried to drench me with mud and I only tried to defend myself! He had used a spell to protect himself for the mud while he attacked me and I NEEDED to defend myself or otherwise he would have hurt me!” Sonea lied, yes, she had lied to the professor and had started this fight, she was the one who had protected herself with a spell, but the professor didn’t needed to know that, right?
She watched Forrest and had a idea. If he could cry and to win the sympathy from the professor, than she could do the same! And… she started to sob, just like Forrest, her tears were fake and she needed to cover her face with both her hands, simply because she couldn’t fake real tears, but she could try it!
Forrest was startled at first by the dog, but he noticed it approached him with friendly intentions so he removed his hands from his dirty face and let the dog lick it away. For a boy that was afraid of almost everything, it was surprising that he actually liked animals, and his sobs had stopped for the time being as he calmed down while petting the dog head.
He wanted to squeal victoriously when the -apparently- professor deducted five points, but he kept his composure. His face was cleaner now--that meant he had to pay attention to his expression. His heart was still beating fast but he was calm, knowing that the professor would be fair. So he got up shakily as the man told them to. He didn't want to leave the dog though, the animal somehow made him feel stronger, because he knew at least it liked him enough to lick the mud away. He kept his hand on its head and listened to Sonea's explanation as he looked down. Surely she would tell the--
He gasped upon hearing her words and tears had started to fill his eyes again. "That's--I didn't--no!" he exclaimed as he started sobbing all over again. Professors always scared him, and now Sonea was lying outright too--what if the man chose to believe her?! What if he deducted points from Hufflepuff and gave him detention and--he let out a strong sob as his hands flew to his face again. He didn't want to go down there. He didn't want to be the boy who caused point deduction. He didn't want to be a bad boy in the eyes of this pleasant man. He just wanted to be home. He opened his face and mouth to explain, but his voice failed him massively again whenever he was afraid of something and he couldn't even utter a word. Standing there idiotically, face all contorted, and hoping that professor knew how to read minds. It would definitely save him from detention.

The Crup was the only excited creature in this little gathering, HAPPY even because the boy patted his head!!! OH, the other chocolate-like human was sad tooo! Feo WOOFed and pranced toward the girl, bumping her leg endearingly and demanding to lick her face TOO. OH HAPPY DAY!
Botros patiently drummed his fingers on his knuckles as he waited for the girl to explain, but she lashed out again and started rambling. Her story would've been more believable if she wasn't acting like this. The other boy's speechless attitude proved he would have never started something like that, if anything his genuine sobbing was genuine. "Five more points for more disrespect." Who called their professor "mean"? Botros had to raise his eyebrows at her when she changed attitudes and started sobbing as well... his Crup quickly falling for it and trying to cheer her up. "Okay. Let me try and explain this. I will ask both of you to stop crying first, you're worrying Feo and I'm pretty sure at least one of you is faking it." He wasn't going to accuse.
"I heard you, miss, shouting and calling your friend here that word. That is no way a student should treat another student here at Hogwarts, no way." He stressed the words threateningly. "Not only that but you showed no respect for my old self, a professor or not." Seriously, old people were bound to have a special kind of respect. If Botros' father was here, he would've had a fit at the way an old man was shouted at. No manners. Tsk tsk tsk. "That all earns you a special detention. As for you, young man.." He turned his attention to the Hufflepuff, without waiting for the Slytherin's response, "As much as that word might have hurt, it's never acceptable for a student to manhandle the offense. You were supposed to either seek an older student's help, or a professor's. Five points would teach you to never go for that method in handling troubles."
PAUSE.
"Before I let you know what your detention is. Both of you..." He took out his wand from his jacket and gave them a nice fatherly look, "... raise your arms and close your eyes." A spring of warm water burst out from the tip of his wand. They were just too dirty to look at.
Feo JUUUMPED away from the water and hid behind one of his owner's legs. He was loyal and all... but no water!!

“WHAT!” Sonea stopped with her fake crying and wanted to say more, she wanted to ask if he was making a joke because he could not be serious what he just had said… She also wanted to laugh because this must be a funny joke. Five more points? And what did he meant by telling her that she had been disrespectful, she had done NOTHING wrong! Forrest, he was the one who needed to be punished, not she! And why was she disrespectful, the man was old, so what had she done wrong? If she had called him ‘young man’ than she had been sarcastic or she would have lied, not that she had problems with telling lies…
Where was the professor talking about? Was he REALLY upset because she had called Forrest a Mudblood? Was he serious?! But… But… Forrest WAS a Mudblood! So what had she done wrong? This was really HILARIUS! But, she was not stupid, if the professor was angry about that word, she needed to convince him that she was not the person who needed to be punished. “Forrest forced me to yell that word! He wanted that somebody would hear me saying that, so that I will be in trouble! He has done all this, I’m really not the person you’re searching for!” the second year old pointed at the other boy and faked a scared look. “He said that he would kill Little princess, my rat if I didn’t would do it!” Sonea lied again, but she needed to do it, she NEEDED to defend herself!
A smile was now visible on Sonea’s face when she heard that Forrest was also busted and that he had detention too. But, she was still wanted to defend herself, she still hoped that the professor would believe her story.
The second year old did slowly what the old man professor ordered but wasn’t prepared for what next happened. Water was splashing in her face and she shouted shocked. Yes, she was relieved to be clean again, but this was not really a subtle way of cleaning. NO, the other professor had done it more friendly and BETTER than this! She really didn’t liked the professor!
Forrest stopped sobbing, he was beginning to feel better as Professor deducted more points, and also he was dead afraid the Professor would believe Sonea any moment so he figured he should please the man somehow. He wanted to GLARE Sonea as she faked tears, and he was pleased further when her shock overcame her faking.
Surely the Professor would understand HE was the innocent one here?
If he was his mother's son, he had to BATTLE, and battling he would.
He waited patiently for the Professor to finish, but his eyes got bigger and he had to stiffle a gasp when five points were deducted from Hufflepuff too. Would they know it was him? Would they be angry at him? What if Hufflepuff lost it to Slytherin with only five points? Could he live with the shame? His face got paler and his lower lip started to tremble, but he didn't cry. He was done crying for today. He needed to explain it quickly. Maybe Professor would give those points back. He clenched his fists when Sonea lied again--seriously, did he look like a guy who could threaten someone, let alone KILL a rat?! He glared at the girl, his fear forgotten. He had to do something before the Professor believed him. He opened his mouth to explain,as he obeyed Professor's request to close his eyes and raise his arms without questioning much. The moment he drew his breath, a jet of water splashed him and his hands flew instinctively to his throat. This was to clean them, he knew, but it caught him off guard and he coughed as the water died away. This meant the Professor was done with them. Panic took over him. He needed those five points back. He opened his eyes quickly and found the Professor's as he bolted forward, hand reaching to keep the man in place. He didn't even pause to see whether he was leaving or not. He just had to make him wait and listen. The Professor would see the logic, definitely.
"Sir, please, sir!" he said, looking anywhere but the Professor's eyes immediately. It was obvious talking needed all his strength, and he would just shut off completely if he looked at those knowing eyes. "T--today I got a letter, sir, with--out any name," he breathed, opting to look at the floor. His hand had dropped before touching the man. His voice was shaky and some words came out rushed. "Telling me to meet--the sender here," he breathed at awkward places in his explanation. He was a fool. The Professor wouldn't believe him. He was the biggest fool on Earth. Hufflepuff would lose the cup with five points and it'd be his fault. Sonea would win, he would lose. It had always been so, why would it be any different now? "I came here, and she charmed the swamp behind me and caused it to drench me in mud and called me 'mudblood' and I just wanted her to have some mud so I hugged her, I didn't mean to manhandle anyone."

There, explanation done, Forrest spent.
After the rush of water, a blow of hot air dried the two kids and Botros finally lowered his wand and tucked in again.
He frowned at the Slytherin when she shouted a "what" and shook his head warningly, it was one of his rules not to shout anywhere near him. It would disturb his earpiece. But her story this time was... believable. Although the other kid didn't look, not even remotely, as someone who would kill a fly. The professor gave the boy a long look trying to see beyond his innocent attitude, but all he could see was a trembling lip and utter fear - something the snake couldn't even manage to fake, so he stayed quiet and was about to direct the question to the boy when he talked of his own accord.
Well. His story was not any more believable than hers, unless the girl was far more cunning than Botros estimated. The old man sighed and leaned heavily on his cane, "Alright, alright. Your stories are... creative. But miss Devesa, I don't think anyone with eyes would agree that your friend here would kill something." He was just sobbing and trying to wear a brave face for Merlin's sake, and it drained the little kid's energy on its own! "However." He glared at the girl. "His story fits perfectly with what I've just interrupted." Maybe the letter part was a bit too dramatic, but Botros definitely knew that the girl was calling the boy that.
"Listen you two. I don't have all day, you--" He gestured at the boy, "Try to learn the value of patience, son. You should not break every time an ignorant student taunts you. If anyone, anyone at all, calls you that name again, you come to me and I will make sure they will regret it." He moved his eyes to the girl, "And you. We have so much work to do, you and I. First, that word is never to come out of your mouth ever again, because it's not only humiliating and rude but also highly unfair." And she needed to know how humiliating it was. "It affects the person saying it far more than the person it was said to, in people's eyes. Like so." He waved his wand and an ugly mud mask covered the girl's face. "Second. You need to control your tongue around your peers. And not just so, but you must do at least three nice deeds to three different students during the next week." Three was far too few but it was a step. "Third, you convince those students to come and report to me what kind of niceness you've done them, they come alone. When I hear three people genuinely glad about something you've done, I will remove your mud mask and your punishment is over. Fail to do so within a week, and I will take more points for disobedience." He paaaaused. "Include your friend over here with those three students and you will get extra points for doing so, but I need him to feel it was genuine and tell me about it on his own accord." Everything clear? It should be. It was no Arithmancy.
"If you have no more to say, you may be dismissed." He took a step away from them, "Miss Devesa, take a quick trip to your head of house's office to show her your... face, will you?" And he wanted to reassure the boy that five points were really nothing and could be earned easily if a student was good enough, but today was their day of punishment. No nice Botros.
Feo, his Crup, did try to play with them and started prancing around the two, even if he was more interested in the chocolate-covered face of that girl! WOOF!
She opened her mouth, totally SHOCKED that he didn’t believed her and stared at the professor when he told her what her punishment would be. She almost wanted to say something to the professor because this was NOT a reasonable punishment! Did she REALLY needed to help all those people!? But why? She had done nothing to them, so why wanted the professor that she would help them? This was… This was… She had no words for her feelings, she only could stare at the professor and glare at Forrest because again, this was HIS fault, not hers!
“My face, my pretty face!” screamed Sonea while she felt with both her hands how her cheeks were covered with dirt! No… no… no… She NEEDED to clean her face, this was really a shame! She HATED professor Botros, he was NOT friendly and he was over reacting!
She really wanted to say more, she wanted to defend herself again, but she was afraid that she would lose more points if she would try it, so she didn’t… She lowered her head and left when the professor told them that they could go. This was really stupid…
Forrest desperately wanted to lean on something--he was suffering from the aftermath of adrenaline rush, but he kept silent as he was dried and the Professor considered his story. 'Surely Professor Botros will return the points, surely,' he kept telling himself, and even looked at the man's face pleadingly despite his better judgment. Sonea couldn't impress the old man at all, and this made him feel much better. Decisions are all based on impressions, his father usually told him, so try your best to impress those in charge.
...
The Professor found his story believable, so that surely meant--oh, value of patience. It was easy for a professor to say so! But he knew if he'd replied back to any of his past bullies--even if he had the courage and the mind to utter something wise--it would be just worse. And crying was his only mechanism of coping with bullies. His face told the Professor that the little boy had no plans of having patience any time soon, but he kept his mouth shut and tried his best to look pleasant. He even nodded just before he turned to Sonea to show he'd listened.
...
Forrest giggled. He couldn't help but giggle crazily; and even if it was obvious he wasn't getting those five points back, Professor Nice was his FAVOURITE professor ever. Just like that, the man had risen to the top seat in the little boy's heart; because he was fair and he'd promised to punish those that made fun of him. His first example was Sonea, and he giggled again upon a second look. The idea of bearing Sonea more would normally sound terrifying, but with that face of hers, he had nothing to fear. He liked the punishment too. It was so fitting, and it caused Sonea to run away on the Professor. It was obvious she didn't plan involving Forrest in her 'deeds', and Forrest didn't mind it at all. He knew this Professor would be fair anyway, so... he might actually torment Sonea. Hmm...
He BEAMED at the Professor as his form of 'thanks', and chose the opposite direction of Sonea to return to his common room. This day was the best day ever, even if he'd be hated by Hufflepuff when they lost the House Cup by five points.
Kace nodded when Tobias explained about trying out for Quidditch. Kace decided to explain why he tried out. "Well my sister used to play and then i wanted to see what all the fun was about. I was mainly playing Keeper when i played games with my cousins and all. But being chaser i had more fun which is why i wanted that position. But you are a MUCH better keeper than i would ever have been on the field." he motioned toward him. It was the truth.
Then he saw Tobias was looking for somewhere to explore. Hmmm...where could they go? He noticed he was skipping. Kace smiled and chuckled. They seemed to share the same interests and all. Even the little things like skipping aimlessly and circling. I guess it was a firstie thing. Then he mentioned something about a swamp? Hmm...he wanted to look for it? He was SO IN.
"Pshh...YEAH i wanna go look for it!" he said like it wasn't even a question. "Let's go!" he said and running to go look for it.
Tobias had been running along with Kace, not knowing if they were even allowed to be running in the corridors but not really all that bother because they were EXPLORING and explorers NEEDED to run sometimes.
He sort of felt the coldness but he was RUNNING so feeling nice and cool was pleasant. Also, the weird sadness kind of hit him without warning, but it wasn't all that strong and Tobias was just IGNORING AND RUNNING AND GALLIVANTING.
All in all he was distracted and very fast and so he didn't notice the early warning signs of the scarysad monsters. However, Toby suddenly SKIDDED to a halt and held out his arm to stop Kace as well. He'd been following the smell of the swamp and boy... he'd found it. And THOSE THINGS.
They were still quite a way down the corridor, but close enough to see the dementors. Wow, such good exploring.
Things ran through his head about what to do. He knew a patronus was out of the question so... alert the authorities?
"Kace," Tobias said quietly. "Kace, go get a professor. Get Botros or someone."
He would stay there. And spy on the monsters.
Tobias checked his pockets... yes, he still had his emergency chocolate.

The dark figures looked around the swamp, unsure of why this thing was here.
They glid around and made circles the pond.

But just when she stepped around the corner she stopped... ANOTHER DEMENTOR!!!! No... She wanted to ran away, but she was unable to move, it was so cold here... she KNEW that she needed to run, but she had forgotten temporary how to move her legs, she only stood there, staring at the dark creature...
