| | The Tree House On the very edge of the forest is a massive tree that houses a wooden fort high up in its branches. A rope ladder hangs down from the lowest level, beckoning you to climb it. Once up, you might think that the interior is bigger than it should be just from looking at it on the outside, which is due to Mr. Firth’s outstanding Charm work. However, replacements of missing boards you may have expected to be made over the summer seem to have been neglected, perhaps due to financial concerns. Also, the addition of that telescope Mr. Firth had been wanting up here does not seem to have been made.
Complete with three different levels, this treetop fortress is perfect for a small study gathering if the castle isn’t your thing. Tree forts are a passion of Mr. Firth’s, so if he catches you damaging it, snogging, or generally annoying him within its walls, be ready to face his wrath! |

Once he was halfway up the steps, he stopped whistling when he thought he heard someone, a girl, crying. And she was crying quite a bit. He continued climbing up, hoping whoever was up there was just laughing so much that she began crying. That happened quite often, right?
Finally reaching the top, he saw someone with long blonde hair that seemed an awful lot like a certain someone he was extremely familiar with but was hoping it was any other blonde girl. Without even saying a single word, he made his way over to her as quietly as possible and, once he was close enough, was positive the girl was Elise. Of all people, he hated seeing her crying. Especially since he had no idea why it was even happening. "Elise..." he whispered and took another step towards her. He wanted to pull her into a hug and tell her it would all be okay but...he didn't even know what was wrong. What if he had someone managed to upset her and this was all his fault? It wasn't like he hadn't been the cause of her tears before. So instead of going up to console her, he stood there and watched, hoping she'd give him some sign that she wasn't upset with him. The shaking shoulders did't seem to stop, even as the sobs started to grow hoarse and die off. The tears didn't stop flowing, though maybe they were trickling a little slower than they had earlier. She just needed to cry everything out, the fact that she was just too emotionally unstable to even be around people.
Hearing footsteps, Elise didn't even bother to look up and didn't hear the whisper through her sobbing. Instead, she figured that it was probably Bee since she'd told the prefect that she was just going out to get some air and think. She'd also told her not to look for her, but when did she ever listen anyway?
"Go'way," she mumbled, still not looking up. Maybe if she stayed curled up like this, they'd not recognize her, give up and actually walk away.

Oh and lookit! He was getting back to normal! Good. She preferred him smiling, it suited him moooore.
The flat tone around the spell business didn't go unnoticed. Obviously it was something he didn't like talking about. That was fine she supposed. It wasn't all that big a deal. He'd probably be bouncing around about them once he got some good ones under his belt. For now it might have been good to drop it, in case it got him upset or something.
His next question told her that he was more than ready to move on. Needless to say the question had her grinning. "It's possibly the most epic sport any witch or wizard could play. I take it you haven't played it then, seeing as you're asking." Probably never went to a match then either. "You play it while flying on your broom and you got four positions. I play Chaser, well...when I was on the team last year, beaters have an epic job though, they get to knock people off their brooms. Really what you do is have the Chasers scoring quaffles until a seeker catches something called a snitch then the game ends. The one with the most points by the end of the game wins. Why? You interested in playing???" Forrest smiled sheepishly. Still, he'd behave and not let others cast a spell on him. Understood.
He shook his head to indicate he'd never heard of it before, and tried to make something out of her explanation, but as he had no information whatsoever about the game, he didn't get a thing.
Oh well. He'd just wait to watch it here, then. "I'm not," he said, not giving away he didn't get a thing from the explanation. "I just wondered, since everyone's crazy about it." He shrugged as the last ray of sun went over his head... time to head back? "It's dinner time," he announced with a groan. His stomach grumbled too, but eating was more of a necessity than a pleasure now. Getting up, he offered her his hand, although he could probably never lift her. "Where do you find knuts from?" So far, he'd failed to find any.

| For Kita HeadGirlMC | Treddie & Trixiver <3 | Copy Girl | Katie's Ickle Minion | I love YOU more After what seemed like a very long summer in which Terry had experienced a sudden growth spurt, the boy was quite glad to be back at Hogwarts. He had arrived late to the feast due to losing his rat on the train and having to spend an hour trying to find the pesky creature which had wedged herself between two seats. And the unexpected event had meant that he hadn't had the time to catch up with his friends, most of which he hadn't seen since the last term.
Terry had always loved the outdoors and he was enjoying the walk along the pathway which lead him to the treehouse. When he got there he climbed the ladder and sat against one of the walls, taking out a special magical creature book that his mother had given him just before he left to catch the train. He was secretly hoping, seeing as he couldn't recognise anyone currently in the room, that someone familiar would join him at sometime. He really felt like having a proper conversation with someone.
Although of course if no one did join him, he was quite content with reading the book too.

Although of course if no one did join him, he was quite content with reading the book too. DOOO DOOO DOOOOOOO! DOOO DOOO DOOOOOOOOO! DOOO DOOO DO-DO-DO-DADOOOOOOOO!
With his hands dug in his pockets, Alec walked down the grounds, humming along to the song that was stuck in his head. In the back of his mind, he knew that he should probably be studying or doing some homework or... just doing some extra reading. But... well... NAH! Wasn't it too early to start studying anyways?
Yes. That. He'd convince himself of that.
Nodding to himself, the sixteen year old headed over towards the place his feet seemed to be carrying him towards; the treehouse. He didn't know why he was here but it felt like a good place to be. As if he was going to see something interesting up here.
But once the boy had climbed the rope ladder, something... didn't really seem right. There were boards that were still missing, making Alec frown slightly. ... This... had a little something to do with the other money problems Hogwarts was having, right? Yeah? Or was it something else entirely? Something like someone going on a rampage around the- "Oh HEY TERRY!" So he hadn't found something interesting but he had found someone interesting up here. "What you reading?" he asked, taking a seat right next to the boy and leaning back against the wall. He was just going to... join the boy, if that was okay.

Normally Theo would ask how in Merlin's beard she conjured that handkerchief up, but that could wait till later. He took it with a thankful smile and rubbed it against his eyes. Blowing his nose could wait until he wasn't in girl company, obviously. He made a noise as she pulled him up, but he did so anyway, because it would be rude not to. "Ours is really bad. It smells and there's rats in the dorms... and the sheets haven't even been washed and.... there was a spider on my pillow." It could really go on forever.
Before any more tears could come, Theo covered his eyes with the handkerchief again and mopped them up. "I... could stay with you up here. If you like." She offered, peeking at him hopefully. It wouldn't be so bad staying up here if she got to stay with him, and she was sure Alice wouldn't mind for just this one night. Or she would understand at least. After cake was promised to her.
Dora watched him carefully for signs of more tears, relaxing a little when he smiled at her. When he was sitting up with her, she positioned herself so that she was sitting directly in front of him, legs pressed against his and hazel eyes intent on him. "You guys have it worse than anyone I've heard of so far. Has anyone started cleaning yet? Or killing the rats and spiders?" Merlin, that was SO MUCH worse that she thought it could ever be. She never wished for the house elves to be back more than she did now, for Theo's sake.
She could tell he was going to cry again, and so she kissed his hand because she didn't know what else to do to stop tears. Dora had never had to stop them alone. "I can get you clean sheets. And a new pillow."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Louise Fellen Third Year | Sooooo I need someone to talk to xD Jupiter's Satellite Having heard about the treehouse, Tora had decided that it would be the perfect place to go exploring. As she climbed, she heard voices up above. She really hoped it wasn't crowded. She hated crowded places. Really.
She continued climbing unti she poked her head up through the trapdoor. "Uh, hi." she said a bit awkwardly from the ladder. "Enough room for me there?" And by enough room she meant enough room for a good deal of people. She vaguely wondered what she would do if they said no. force herself up? She would definitely be curious as to why they said no. But none of that had happened yet, nor did she think realistically it would happen. Tora laughed nervously partially from feeling a tad awkward and partially from feeling just a tad confined...

He was utterly confused at this point. Elise figured that the soft footsteps probably meant that whoever was staring at her was walking away. Maybe they hadn't recognized her and just didn't really care! There were quite a few blondes in Ravenclaw, let alone the whole school and it wasn't all that hard to confuse them. Taking a slow, shuddering breath, she felt someone slide down next to her. She almost started sobbing all over again and probably would have if whoever it was hadn't pulled her into an embrace and kissed her forehead.
Almost immediately, she felt just a bit calmer and turned her head slightly, burying her face into the gap between his shoulder and his neck. How could she have told Chris to go away? Though since he arrived, she'd stopped crying for the most part even if she was still trembling a little. Shaking her head, she tried to speak but ended up choking back another sob. So that would have to be enough for him to figure out that he didn't have to take off his shirt. She was pretty much done crying, anyway.
"Why'd you stay?" she asked, voice quavering slightly. Why did he want to stay, even when almost everyone else had walked out? To be honest, Elise didn't think that she deserved it. She wasn't anything special, not really. Just another Ravenclaw, and according to Oakey, the most insane one. Nothing special about that.

As uncomfortable as he was with being shirtless, if Elise needed his shirt, he'd give it to her. Already reaching to pull off his shirt, Chris let out a breath of relief when he realized Elise had begun to calm down. That was a good sign, wasn't it? Even after she began speaking, he made sure to keep his arms wrapped around her, convinced it would keep her from sobbing again.
But now she was speaking and she was asking...why he had stayed? "Um, well, y'know..." This question completely stumped him. What kind of answer was he supposed to give her? Because if he gave her the real answer, she'd never believe him in the first place. Or she'd think he was lying or....who knows what! And he couldn't even think of something to lie about so that was out of the question. "I, uh....I stayed because....you're here and you're sad...and you're my best friend!" Surely that was a good enough answer? No need to go into too much detail on his feelings or anything, right? "You're Mrs. Awesomesauce and I just love you." Christopher nodded firmly, making sure Elise got the point. There was no way he was going anywhere. He reached for her hand, linking his fingers with hers, and tried to think of another reason for him to say what he was really thinking.
Maybe, just maybe, today would be the day he got his "sign"...

He just shoved his hands back inside his robe's pockets and turned around to climb down the rope ladder. "What I mean is, haven't you run out of knuts already? Is there some place where we can exchange sickles with knuts?" |

Creak went the floorboards as Terry adjusted his position in order to get more comfortable. You could tell that money was short at the school this year, the ridiculous charges on food in the Great Hall, the minimal dishes that they received at the opening feast rather than the variety that appeared on the tables last year. The treehouse was beginning to fall into a pile of rotting timbers and it surely wouldn't be long before the house place fell down.
Still, it provided shelter to the students and was somewhere fun for people like himself to come and meet up with their friends. Not that Terry had any friends with him at the present moment, it was just him and his book.
But then the sound of singing, or humming rather, there seemed to be no words assisting the tune, came floating into the treehouse and the fourteen year old looked up to see who it was coming from. A familiar face came into his view and his lips fell into a smile. Good, company, he needed it. "Hey Alec" he chuckled as the boy joined him, leaning against the wall. It would be stable right? He wasn't going to just fall backwards was he? "This? Oh its some really rare book that my mum got for me. It's mainly about Magical Creatures, I thought it might be useful for lessons" he smiled, closing the textbook and placing it back in his bag. If there was something he didn't want to lose down the missing boards, it would be that.

Having his arms around her was actually really comfortable and all the crying did tend to tire her out. Maybe a nap would be okay, but she had tryouts to hold in a few hours and she couldn't do that half-asleep. She could sit here and let him hold her until she had to go, without falling asleep. Even though the idea of falling asleep was so very tempting.
His words wounded her, though. Not quite a stabbing sensation, but more of a dull throb. Best friend. Of course that was why he had stayed. She was foolish for even beginning to think otherwise, that maybe she meant more to him than that. Heart feeling infinitely heavier, she breathed in deeply, grateful that he couldn't see her expression. "Okay," she said quietly, keeping the pain out of her voice despite those two words repeating themselves over and over again.
If his best friend was all she was ever going to be, Elise was going to have to live with it. Her fingers slipping easily into the spaces between his, she turned her head slightly to look at their joined hands. She couldn't help but smile, squeezing his hand gently. A wordless thank you. "I don't know how I survived a summer without you," she whispered, her eyes closing slightly. Three months, seeing him only once there seemed almost impossible now when even the thought of leaving hurt so much.
No, she wasn't going anywhere just yet.

No, she wasn't going anywhere just yet. There was something about they way she spoke that made him want to tell her everything. And by everything, he meant everything. Maybe if he had done so before last term had ended, or back on the train, Elise would have actually wanted him around during the Summer. And he had grown to understand that it wasn't that she didn't want him around because it was him, but rather because she didn't want him to see her...if that made sense. Chris just couldn't help but feel that he could've at least helped a little, if he had had the courage to do what he'd been wanting to do for at least a year now.
This was it. THIS was his sign. What were the chances that he'd be walking by the treehouse right when Elise was up there crying? His original plan was to go to the lake, wasn't it? But instead, what Christopher liked to believe was fate made him change his mind. If he didn't do this now...he may never get another chance. This was it.
Snuggling in closer to Elise, he took a big breath and let it out, trying his hardest to calm his nerves. "Elise..." Now, how exactly was he supposed to start this? Was fate not going to help him out here? "...there's this girl...and...she's just...." 'Perfect...' "She means a lot to me..."
There. That was a good start, wasn't it? It would be like a guessing game! Chris just really hoped she'd understand that he meant her and no one else.

After the Herbology class ended, Aphrodite stepped toward an area near the forest and there is something in it. She just knows that Hogwarts has it. A tree house looks very beautiful and curious side of Aphrodite was intrigued. She had to climb up to the top level. She grabbed her satchel as she slowly climbed it. Climbing it should be easy just because she herself has a tree house in Dragongrass Manor.

He'd rather be at the duck pond but since he was going to graduate at the end of the year the Slytherin Prefect wanted to see as much of the school as he could.
As he reached the tree house he craned his neck to look up at the beautiful house. Hmm...he wondered if he could still climb well? Hoisting his school bag over both of his shoulders the Slytherin began to climb up.
He was slower than when he was younger, he could feel it but he did managed to climb the structure so that was something right? Half way , he spotted a little girl climbing to the top as well and he smirked. "Hey kid! You going to the top of the tree house?" he asked as he held himself up against the wooden balk.

she almost let go of the ladder. Woaah Aphrodite .. it is dangerous. For a moment she stopped to take a breath and looked down toward the person who called and that person is, Slytherin Prefect
.. Okay ..
she must hurry because if she is not to be overtaken, and the worst she would fall on him, " Yes, I'm going up there," she said as she started to climb again, " Do you also want to go up there?" she asked the slanted eyes man while smiling to him and continue to climb.

| #1 Wowza! Ezra had spent the majority of his walk around the grounds trying and failing. Despite managing to come to a sort of unspoken understanding with his wand, the second year couldn't say his performance in Transfiguration was any better. Which led him to think his struggles with it last term had more to do with his aptitude for the subject than his wand work itself.
He supposed that it should've disappointed him, but mostly it made him feel better. Ezra didn't think anyone had any right to be good at everything, so he found it perfectly fair that his strengths did not lie in transfiguration. In truth, he was a little bit thankful; Ezra Carver liked math just fine (well, more than fine, really) but there was the equation the Transfiguration professor had on the board during class had nearly given him a headache.
Ezra was not fond of headaches, or of anything that gave him any kind of discomfort, really, but he took most things that caused him any kind of discomfort, to heart. Really, Ezra took them as a personal insult, of sorts.
He really didn't like Transfiguration.
The boy scowled at November for being the first human being she could spot in the vicinity, and then scowled at the ladder that led to the tree house because it was just another obstacle placed before him to cause him discomfort. He began to climb it, until he realized it was probably expected of him to let her do it first, which only made his scowl deepen (unsolicited expectations!!!). Neatly, he dropped back to the ground, landing on the balls of his feet and tried to arrange his features into a polite expression for his friend. It kind of worked, except he was grimacing now. Great. "Ladies first, I guess." Let it never be said Ezra Carver wasn't a gentleman.

Hogwarts RPG Name: November {Noe} Franze First Year | #1 Brain Twin | MASTAH ASHURRII | Reisdent PokeNerd | Digifangirl Ezra seemed to be in a very grumpy mood, and Edita was not around to diffuse the situation, which made November a little uncomfortable, really. Edita was really good at being silly and ridiculous and November rather suspected Ezra kind of liked her a little more. It kind of made sense - November had often been told she was rather grating and didn't know when to shut up.
She tried not to take offense of his scowl, but November had also been told she was awfully sensitive, which was probably just as true, and for it, she squirmed a little. It was better to work with Ezra, still, than someone she didn't know well who could turn out terribly rude or be super stunning at Transfiguration and make her feel horrid for her bad skills.
It was just a difficult class! She'd expected it would be a little wave of the wand and a fancy incantation and she'd be turning mice into elephants or something. Who knew it'd actually be so tricky and involve terrifying equations? The equation in her notes forced a crease between her brows; it was mad is what it was.
Watching Ezra come back down from the ladder, her brows furrowed in curiosity. Before she had much a chance to ask him about it, though, he was giving her passage. Warily, she narrowed her eyes a little and studied the ladder. He wasn't tricking her, was he? Had he found a spider or some sort of creepy little creature up on one of the rungs? Approaching the ladder, she relaxed her shoulders.
He'd not be that cruel, would he?
"Well, thank you very much," she told him, adjusting her bag before beginning the wavery climb.
Once she was halfway up, she paused for a brief moment, dearly hoping Ezra was waiting until she was all the way up before he climbed after her. It was much too soon for another knicker flash, really, given that ever again would be much too soon. Her face warmed a little and she began to climb more hurriedly, stumbling into the tree house with relief.
Rope ladders were far from her favorite things. |

| #2 Wowza! Ezra studiously waited for November to be all up in the tree house before doing so much as turning around or even daring to sneak a peek. He kicked a rock, grumbled about the cold, kicked another rock, scowled at a passing student (which, judging by the size, could only be a first year), kicked yet another rock and then patted his stomach. These were not particularly interesting activities, but anything was better than to look up before November's I see London, I see France! was out of his eyesight. He'd had enough embarrassments involving November (and Edita) to last for at least another six months.
When he thought he could no longer hear the sound of November's slightly labored breathing, Ezra began his climb, and shortly after, joined November. Ezra wasn't really afraid of heights but he thought it was a little colder, now; at least, his cheeks and his nose certainly seemed to believe that it was. They were bright red. "Hmm." Ezra chanced a look around the first level, noting there were already people there. His cheeks heat up, again, though this time the cold had nothing to do with it.
He was likely going to have to try very hard before getting the spell just right, and he didn't fancy the idea of continuously failing in front of people he didn't know. It was bad enough that November would see it, and likely would make HER gargoyle do her bidding before his did. "Maybe in the second floor - level. Stuff." Stuff wasn't meant to be said out loud. He wasn't even sure what stuff was supposed to stand for. "Right?" He didn't really wait for November's response and quickly scurried to check out the second floor. It was mercifully empty, and from above, he screamed (screeched? his voice was beginning to change) at his friend, "NOE, GET OVER HERE, IT'S EMPTY."
Perhaps he was being too loud. It occurred to him, too, that he wasn't November's father, so he very well couldn't go around telling her what to do. "IF YOU WANT TO, that is."
