SPOILER!!: Wade

Now, how was Wade? "I've been great, as well." He laughed a little with that little fact she had mentioned. "You got me there," They haven't hung out together all that much, quite unfortunately. That was going to change, now. Heh. "the benches on the pinch strangely are very comfy to nap at." Smirking at that. "How about you? What have you been up to?"

Quidditch season, heh. "Yeah, I love it too." Wade sighed happily at the thought of it, "While I liked being Beater, Chaser during the tryouts was.. surprisingly fun." He could see why his dad got into it. "I'm glad that I don't have to worry about hurting people as much now." Winking knowingly, from what happened last year. Oh, the Treehouse?

"]You know.. I haven't spent much time here.. my dad told me about how he was the first to find it when he went here." Way back then, during Ancient times... Anyways, Wade then took a good look around in the treehouse. "Well, since last year was so busy," From those special O.W.L preparations and exams. Shrugging. "Figured now was the best time to hang out here, while we still can." Time was going pretty quick for them. "Any plans for the winter?"

Still looking out at the grounds she started laughing a bit, "You know what my favorite thing to do in the snow? Well I guess I have two things, playing hockey on the lake, and snow ball fights. Snow ball fights are the best." She looked at Wade wondering if she could beat him at a snowball fight. Hmmm she might have to try this at some point. Then she started laughing.. Wade was funny.. she never knew this, well she knew he was nice and fun to be around, but he was funny as well. "Sleeping at the pitch.. Better watch out people might sneak up and put make up on you or braid you hair or something." Oh that would be great she could see it now. Putting a mental note to possibly watch the pitch a little closer.. Without thinking she reached up and touched his hair and giggled, "Yes this could be easily braided." Still laughing she scooted over, "Sit.. sit.."

Looking back outside and smiling oh sooo pretty the snow was, "I wonder if anyone has ever taken a picture from here with the snow, it's so pretty." Then she had heard another question, "Oh what have I been up to, let's see. Classes, practice, I have some big shoes to fill in that beater position, *giggles* oh was accused of a Fake ID, suggested of being expelled, and got detention." At this Minerva laughed harder, her laughing about a detention was odd to even her, but she laughed. It was all just dumb and she just thought it was comical for some reason. "Bad girl Minerva's coming around you better watch out." She moved her heads and shoulders trying to act tough and started laughing again.

On his words Minerva tried to fake glare at Wade, "Yes better you stay away from my boyfriend there pretty hair.. Your lucky you weren't hexed right off your broom. I'm great with a wand.." She stuck her tongue out and started laughing even more. She was glad she got to know Wade more and yes it was part of the game. She couldn't get the smile off her face..

GO AWAY SMILE..

Min needed serious at the moment, but nope wasn't going anywhere well she would try to be serious anyway, "Yeah I'm not big on hurting people either. Especially when they are my friends or well Ethan." It didn't seem to bad though with the smile on her face, but it was IT REALLY WAS.. She couldn't handle hitting Ethan and well she found herself chuckling anyway..

And they were back at the tree house talk.. "Oh I use to spend a lot of time here my first and second term and then it disappeared for awhile, but came back next term which was nice to see it back. She did have a few memories from here. "Oh your dad came here? How old is he if you don't mind me asking?" She was always trying to find a link to her mom if possible. "My mom came here as well, she was a puff." Her smile was still on her face as she thought of her mom possibly sitting in this very spot at some point. She was so involved in her own thoughts about her mom possibly being right here that she didn't hear him ask about winter and she smiled looking back at him, "Do you lie Ice Cream Wade? I think Ice Cream would be great right now.."

Yes, yes she should. "Alright!"

Giving one more glance around, Medea smiled to herself and took a hold of the ladder. Oh, flimsy thing. Ahem, no matter. If she could perfect over two hundred yoga poses, she could climb a little flimsy ladder. OH! Almost forgot Sonya! Backtracking, Medea picked up the little fake bird and set it upon her shoulder. Didn't have such a great grip like her spider did, but it'll do. The ladder was...harder to climb than it looked, but good Merlin, just LOOK at this place!!

And and and!

She suddenly glomped Airey with a hug.

Oh GOOD! So she was coming up! Excellent. Things were so much better when one was high up and could see more of the world. It was why he had initially dreamed of becoming an astronaut as a child. Being able to see the earth from space and metaphorically hold it between your fingers...seeing it like a small blue and green marble in space...realizing just how big the universe was and all the possibilities out there...

...but that dream was...
"OOF!"
Losing his bearings for just a moment, Airey didn't quite realize that the sudden force that had nearly knocked him over - a fine illustration of Newton's Laws - was Medea until he turned his head around and saw here there. Medea. Was. Hugging. Him. Medea was hugging him. SWEETSOLSTICEMEDEAWASHUGGINGHIM.

"W-W-What is this for?" he asked, his limbs seemingly locked against his sides for the time being while he tried to figure out what his arms were supposed to be doing.

Oh LOOK! It was the same bird!

Was he hugging back? SHE HAD NO CLUE!

Though quite honestly, she wasn't paying attention. There was this weird rush feeling, knowing that she was touching his SUIT with him actually KNOWING this time and it didn't have to do with any pranks! "For Sonya, of course!" she chuckled, pulling away just a bit to glance at the bird who was having a mighty time trying to stay on her shoulder.

"I simply love her. Thank you so much!" She was perfect! Medea's smile faded into one of playfulness, as an eyebrow raised. "Though I don't think I need a reason to hug a friend."

Airey felt the urge to loosen the collar of his shirt and tie, but seeing as Medea had his arms pinned to his sides right now by her hug made that impossible. He didn't like people touching him and often used his suit as an excuse for this, but for some reason he didn't mind this right now. In fact...he rather liked this. Whatever THIS was.

Which is why he finally managed to wiggle his arms free to hug her back - just not as firmly. "I'm glad you like it...her...I saw her in a shop and instantly thought of you," he grinned back, squeezing her a bit tighter. "I suppose you don't."

Oh! She was getting hugs back! Which she finally noticed after the wiggling and the actual hugging. Goodness, he knew her so well already, in general at least, and he was soooo sweet for thinking of her. "She better not haff cost you much." Some of those independent artists were rather expensive, even with the smaller works. Stepping back from the hug, Medea wiggled her hands back into the pockets of her jacket to stay warm. Not really cold proof, was this place.

"Not at all," he said with a chuckle. Well, it was a bit of a white lie considering it was more than he usually spent on gifts for others, but it wasn't like he was rolling in galleons these days. So, no, no it didn't cost him THAT much. Besides, seeing the smile on her face and how happy it, um, seemed to be hopping around with her made it worth it. "Are you cold?" he asked, noticing her hands in her pockets. "Here, have my jacket. I've been running around up here so much that I don't need it." And he still felt like scurrying about the place, so he would be fine.

Which is why he slipped it off and placed it over her shoulders before she could respond.

"Good." While the gift was utterly perfect, the thought of it costing too much, or even more than eight sickles, didn't sit all that well. What was done, was done though and she was never giving her up her new birdie! And she was not expecting this turn of events. "Oh, I..."

Too late. He already put the jacket over her shoulders.

She couldn't deny it was a bit warmer, but, SHEWASWEARINGHISJACKET! That. Was. Happening. Honestly, she was bit speechless right now. Even perhaps a little afraid to move...or breathe for that matter, for fear of hurting it. But, ummmmmm, well, if he was okay with it, than, she was okay with it. "Thank you. Much better." she smiled with a slight nod, glancing around the interior of the tree house momentarily before turning her gaze to him.

"Show me all the good spots?" Hehe.

Good. He liked that answer. Obviously meant he had done something right which was always a plus since he always seemed to be doing something wrong when it came to the other professors. Ivy had been sculpted from ice, he was sure, and Hecate seemed to be figuring out how many ways to set fire to him every time she looked his way as some examples. "Did you give her a name?"

He had to admit that it was nice having another professor who understood the joys of a more unique pet. He had Pebbles and Medea had her collection of metal creatures. It was nice to be able to connect with someone on that level. Most people he knew didn't understand that aspect of his life choices - even if she also had those feline monsters.

Grinning and sort of bouncing in place a bit to keep warm since he was now jacketless, Airey took a look around the treehouse before returning his gaze to Medea. "Well, ALL the spots are good really. Depends on what sort of view you are looking for." Although it could afford to be just a bit higher. Aerial views were always the best sort of views. "Although...the interior is rather....dull, don't you think?" You know...all wood tones upon wood tones.

After a few minutes of squirming- not TOO many, though, because Alice was an excellent climber, see?- her chin hit the floor, and then the rest of her finally appeared on the first level of the tree house.

Narrowly avoiding a missing board (was the school ever going to fix that? Where were those knuts from the turnstiles going, hmm, Truebridge?), she crawled over to the window and glanced outside. Last time she was up here, there had been cake. And tea. And a Cactus. This time, though, it was just her, wasn't it? Alice took another look around before noticing a girl over by the corner, reading. So not just her.

"Charms? Really? If you're going to read school stuff, at least choose an interesting textbook, like Runes or something."

Someone was talking to her. Jo hadn't even noticed the person approached her because she had been so focused on reading her Charms' textbook. The blonde lifted her eyes from her book to see a familiar Gryffindor standing right in front of her. She smirked at the Gryffindor's comment. "I agree. It isn't the most interesting thing in the world to read but I'm just getting some pre-reading done," she offered with a grin. She pulled a face at the mention of Ancient Runes. Jo didn't like Ancient Runes at all because she didn't really understand the class that well. "Ancient Runes? I'm not a big fan of that class myself. I much prefer Potions and Astronomy. But each to their own opinion- I suppose," she explained, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. "Is Ancient Runes your favourite class?"

Jo studied the other blonde girl for a few minutes, letting silence drop between them. "I'm sorry, I think we may have met before. You look oddly familiar. Perhaps it was during a Muggle Studies class last year? I think you were with your friend... Meghan?...Mallory?.. Melanie, perhaps?" she offered, cringing her nose slightly as she tried to remember the other girl's name. Meghan, Melanie, Mallory? Close enough.

"Actually, I haff." she nodded, smile turning into a beam. "Sonya." Glancing over to the bird who hopped off her shoulder and onto the ground with a light thud, her beam faltered momentarily. Eh, she was fine. It probably wasn't the best name, considering it's meaning and the fact that it wasn't a very smart little birdie, but nevertheless, it was pretty.

Moving towards the window, she looked out to the view of the grounds and castle. She could definitely see what he meant about the view, and could imagine what the other levels had. "Right?" she chuckled, about to lean against the window sill before remembering there was a foreign and incredibly delicate jacket on her shoulders. No leaning against stuff. "I half expected the inside of this place to be covered vith paintings and...vell...color."

Not that she didn't like wooden tones. Her wardrobe was full of it.

Sonya? "How did you come up with that name?" he asked, genuinely curious. "Bit of a play off Ravenclaw? Her being a bird and all and the name meaning 'wisdom' I mean." Very logical. Airey liked straightforward and logical names. Look at Pebbles. It just made sense. Now if he would have named her fluffy or something, that would have just been ridiculous. Ironic perhaps, but ridiculous.

"Partly why I like being up in the Astronomy Tower so much," he admitted. Yes, he did tend to be a bit of a hermit at times by locking himself up in his office or the observatory, but it was hard to pull one's self away from gazing at the heavens on a clear night. "You an artist, Medea? Or do you just enjoy finger painting on me and my suits?"

And if she was one he didn't suppose she had any of those paints with her....

Like, running in circles the little bird seemed to be so fond of doing. Perhaps due to the spellwork on her part? She'd tried several times to fix it already. "But...ended up liking Sonya best."

Oh, he was never going to forget about that, was he?

"Oh, ha ha. That vos an accident and you know it." She narrowed her eyes a little as the tiniest of smirks played on her lips. Though yes, she did enjoy it. Oh yes, she was going to explore the second level.

"You haff any interest in the arts?"

Airey raised an eyebrow towards the dark haired professor. "Are you calling my bird stupid?" He had been told by his fair share of professors while at Hogwarts that if he were a bird he would fly backwards. He wasn't stupid though. Professor just said nothing that had really caught his attention nor kept it - minus a select few.

Accident. Sure it was. Not to mention it was obvious she dabbled in the arts, she WAS the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Haha. He made himself laugh. In his head. "You could say that," he said in response to her question.

Spotting the stairs as well, he gave them a jab with his thumb. "Upwards then?"

As he made his way he realized it was SO cool. He loved it! He decided to run across the wooden bridge and look out the look post and pretend to be like a pirate or an adventurer. He was having the time of his life. It felt good to not worry about homework and just be free.

Laura had decided that she would come and see the tree house because she hadn't been here for ages, she wasn't paying much attention to who was there already and knocked into someone. "I'm sooooo sorry." Laura sighed, she hadn't meant to bump into anyone. "Are you okay?"

Ummm...

"Special. I said special." Ahem. "Eccentric...could be another vord."

So, it wasn't the most intelligent of designs that she had, but it was made of metal after all! She certainly wasn't going to outright call it stupid though. It was too precious to do so. However, a soft 'thud' reached her ears, and then again, and again and...

Medea chuckled hesitantly after noticing Sonya running repeatedly into the bottom stair. Precious, right? Nevertheless, sooo not the right time. Glancing to Airey, she cleared her throat and quickly picked up the bird before swiftly heading up to the second level. "Yup!....Vot, erm...Vot kind of arts? Are you interested in, I mean."

"You sound like my professors back when I was in school here," he laughed while rubbing the back of his neck. "Only they weren't discussing charmed metal creatures." He really didn't need to say point blank who they were talking about, right?

And then he saw exactly what she was referring to as the tiny metal thing rammed itself against the stairs. "Okay...I never did that sort of thing," he laughed sheepishly before shoving his hand back in his pants pocket.

Was it getting hot in here or was it just him? Airey found himself tugging on his tie to loosen it a bit at her question and somewhat stopped his jumping in place to keep warm. Plenty warm right now, thank you very much.

"Well, in a way, astronomy is an art," he said, his gaze shifting outside and to the sky. "People don't always think so. Seeing as it is a science and all. Take a sunset for example. Nature's most beautiful work of art some may say. But what the average person doesn't realize is that that work of art was created by molecules and small particles in the atmosphere changing the direction of light rays, causing them to scatter and creating a spectrum of colors."

"Ew. Potions." Alice wrinkled her nose and directed her attention back out the window distractedly. pulling faces at the mention of Lafay's subject. "I like Runes. Astronomy, too, those are my favorites. And Flying, Flying is my best." Did this girl know? Captain and stuff. She had a BADGE. Somewhere in the dorms or something, carefully tucked away into a pair of robes so none of the dust that seemed to be everywhere these days could settle on the shiny surface.

Oh. Oh, was that why this girl had looked familiar? "Melanie. Yeah, you did. You came and sat by us and gave me your food." She was good company, then? Alice immediately became a little more interested, wondering if she had food on her now and if she was open to sharing. "I'm Alice, by the way. Do you have snacks?"

Very subtle.

Oh dear, was she really?

Well, it was duly noted to not speak about Sonya anymore then. Though Airey had another thing coming if he thought she wouldn't be asking about his school days later. Despite the bordering seriousness of the topic...it sounded way too amusing and interesting.

She laughed softly in return, though it slowly subsided as he went on about the work of art that is nature. With a scientific spin to it. Pausing on the top step, she could only stop to process all of this for the moment. Goodness. "I never thought about it that vay." she muttered, staring at the wall opposite them. A sunset was indeed one of nature's most beautiful work of art, as he put it.

"You know..." Medea smiled, leaning against the stair railing. "A sunset vould look glorious on that vall over there."

Apparently...he had said something odd - at least silence tended to imply such at least. So now Airey was back to fidgeting and trying to find some way to occupy his fingers. Usually this was drumming on his desk or ironing his ties, but neither of those were options at the moment. Drumming on his thighs though....what he could do.

So, there he was. In his suit, drumming some nonsensical rhythm on his thighs, and trying his best to look everywhere but at Medea in case she felt awkward enough to go scampering back towards the castle. Because honestly, that was the last thing he wanted right now. Well, that and for the Headmistress to announce that there was no more ice cream at Hogwarts.

"I...tend to think like that a lot," he admitted as he ceased his drumming and rubbed the back of his neck. "Seeing the beauty in scientific fact that is."

Airey's blue eyes drifted towards the wall in question. "It WOULD!" he exclaimed as he whipped out his wand from his breast pocket. What? Not like they had paint brushes at the moment anyway. Twirling his wand between his fingers for a spell, haha punny, he grinned back at the dark haired professor. "Shall we?"

As Kace was playing in the tree house, he felt the impact of someone bumping into him on his back. Oh? He turned around and realized a girl had bumped into him. He smiled and said, "Oh i am fine, you only just bumped into my back, it will heal." he said with a sense of humor. He held out his hand, "I am Kace btw. What bring you into the neck of the treehouse?" he asked curiously.

So he was a puppy snuggler too? Ice cream diver? She thought for a moment before breaking into another fit of laughter – this time at her own expense. She was beaming of course because Tag wanted to get ice cream for dinner…and that sounded great really great. But she was laughing so hard – really laughing to the point that her eyes were watering her nose was even crinkling up (and she might have been making a mix of snorting and squeaking sounds).

“Ice” she gasped out between laughter, “cream sugh-soun” and another bit of giggles – that were calming down of course later, “sounds like a good dinner idea” and beams again.

”I meant to say give…but I was thinking about this little place called Dave’s Dive-In. It was the local equivalent to Floreans over in Melbourne – I miss it really but Florean’s is better.” she beamed a bit.

Oh boy, this girl could really laugh. Tag just awkwardly gave her a crooked smile as he watched her soar into this fit of laughter that seemed to not escape her any time soon. Had she been taking some laughter pill or something? "You know, I hear laughter is good for your health. Yeah, the more you laugh the happier you are the better it is for you. And you wanna live a happy, fun, healthy life, yeah? Laugh it up Mika. Laugh it up!" Tag said brightly as he took advantage of this laughter she brought upon him.

"Ice cream is always a great decision when it comes to dinner." Tag told her the truth as he gave her a cheeky thumbs up.

"Even Australia has brilliant ice cream? I must make my way down there!" Though lots of cities and countries had ice cream. Tag wasn't sure why this came as such a big surprise to him. "Florean's is top notch. Can never go wrong with it!" Now he threw in a nice, warm smile.

"Oh?" Wade asked, wondering what Minnie liked to do in the snow. His brows rose a little at her answer, "Hockey? I never knew you played that." Was she good? Maybe, she would tell him. He smirked at the mention of snow balls. "Yes, yes they are." Was Minnie hoping to start one? Hmm....hmm? Wade cocked his head slightly at Minnie who was looking at him kind of funny-like. His smirk widening to a smile, as he heard the warning on sleeping there. "Yeah?" His smile then froze in.. wonder. Make up on Wade.. Good luck to anyone putting make up on him. Heh. "Well.. maybe I should hire someone to watch over me while I nap." ...hmm? His left eyebrow rose again when before he knew it, Minnie was now touching his hair. Gee, was he getting his hair styled today? Heh. "Long as you aren't checking what shade of lipstick I should wear." he tried saying this casually, "I don't mind."

Wade stared out over the treehouse to see the lovely view. "Yeah, that's why I love Winter. makes everything look better than ever." Turning back to Minnie after hearing about what she'd been up to.. Wade's brows furrowed at- Expelled.. Detention.. Fake ID? Before he could ask, it looked like she was taking it lightly. "Really, now?" Do tell, Minnie. He cracked up with her though after she called herself a bad girl. "Especially with that beater's bat.. your boyfriend's got nothing to worry about." Smirky- smirk.

Interesting, so the tree house wasn't always available since it's first discovery. "My dad's about fourty-one.. He graduated in '57." That would be wicked if their parents just so happened to be in the same year. It seemed like badgers ran in the family. ""Neat, hope you don't mind me asking when your mom graduated." Now then, Wade had wondered on if Minnie was busy during the winter, but the time she took to answer that seem to say otherwise.. Ice cream? Blinking once, since it seemed so random. But, no biggie. "Nothing beats ice cream, a bowl of that sounds good to me as well." And because this awesome topic came up. "What flavor?"

Minerva about bounced off her seat, “Oh yes I love hockey it’s just such an exciting sport. Plus look at all the contact, it’s kind of like being a beater.” She laughed, “I have my skates in my trunk, I always bring them. A few of us have even played on the lake when it’s been frozen like this. We should play.” Yes that was a brilliant idea. Playing hockey at the lake why didn’t they think of this earlier. “Wait have you ever played before?” She knew he did some muggle things, but wasn’t sure if hockey was one of them. Her mind wondering about a possible snow ball fight she was going to make sure to watch her back with the look he was giving, especially after he said he liked them.
She began laughing again and then put her fingers together, “Ahhh yes.. yes a body guard. Maybe someone with a nice bat to threaten anyone that might wake you.” She winked at him and then laughed some more. Wade was fun.. super fun to hand out with, why did it take so long for them to become friends. “Oh I think a nice light pink would be perfect for your skin color. I think I have some in my bag, let me check..” She pulled out lip stick out of her bag.. “See let’s try it out..” She opened it and went towards him.

“Yes, plus I love my sweaters and sweatshirts. I hate shorts and stuff.” She crinkled her nose. “Winter clothes are so much more comfortable.” Plus they were bigger and she could just be comfy instead of worrying what she looked like for the most part. She waved it off, “I guess I get to see what detention is all about. Maybe someone will write about me one day.. Good girl gone bad.” She laughed so hard this time she fell out of her seat, “Oops” which she just sat on the floor laughing. As she stood, she heard him comment about the bat, “Yes and I’m not afraid to use that bat on anyone that might go after him or my team… “ This she was still laughing, but was very serious about.

Hmm Forty one, so her mom was a little older. “Mom would have been 43 this April so just two years older. I wonder if your dad knew her at all.” That would be amazing, because Min had nothing of her mother from the wizard world. “Umm Hey do you think you could ask your dad maybe if he knew a Victoria Blaze, because I didn’t even know she was a wizard until I was ten and she died when I was twelve so I didn’t get much time to know anything about her and this part of her life and I really have no one to talk to about it, because her family are a bunch of jerks that turned their backs on her when she married my dad.” This wasn’t going to change her happy mood, but the excitement that grew with the thought of someone actually maybe knowing her mom was just beyond brilliant. She then grew another big smile as he asked about ice cream. “My favorite is Chocolate, but putting reese cups on top is always a great idea as well and my newest thing is Hot Chocolate with Ice cream in it.” Yes all great things.

For GoblinFrog and anyone else who wants to jump in

Taylor climbed up the tree house and glanced around. It has been awhile since she had been here... it has been a while since she was out of the common room for something other than food and classes... She decided to not avoid anyone anymore... for now... Tay missed her boyfriend but she will see him soon... she hopes. Taylor looked around at the view that the tree house had given her. The party last weekend was fun and she was ready to get out and socialize again. Tay leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, relaxing and just waiting for something to happen whether it was someone coming or just being able to be happy. She was up for anything. Tay messed with her jacket, getting a little warm so she unzipped it a little, showing her new peachy shirt. She crossed her legs careful not to mess her new boots up as well. Taylor hadnt gone home for the holidays unlike her usual christmas vacatios to home then to France or camping but her mother had made sure that she had gotten her a new outfit, coat inculded. She had also sent jewelry, money for the things around school and some baked goods but she was only wearing the clothing right now. She still needed to give Brodie his gift... Taylor suddenly realized that she was humming out loud and blushed, looking around to see if anyone had noticed besides her.

Raven walked through the grounds in her black robes with a blank look on her face and humming a creepy tune. She didn't mean for it to be creepy, that's just how it came out. Right now she was very happy but she wasn't sure why. She was back from Christmas with the family and was feeling...content. The only thing she needed now was a little of that EXCELLENT ice cream.

It was just then that she heard another girl humming and turned to see that girl that she liked (Taylor) on the tree. "Hello!"
