Text Cut: Lex See that's why she paused and gave time. She knew this was going to happen so she braced herself. "Shocking I know!" She responded in matching artificial shock! "Umm..no let's not tell them, Lex" She told her. " Please the business is already..err.." Extinct!! "...slow..I bet it's because travelling around the school and eating is consuming money, thanks to the broke school," So, don't express your opinions, Lex. Just don't. "Nope, it's not hard." Cassia gave Lex a look. "If some people are going to fight or bicker or get caught up in drama they'd do it no matter what," Yup. Made perfect sense. Nodding apologetically Cassia said, "I'm afraid yes," Imagine Lex knowing that the business hadn't really started properly. "No need to offended come one," She nudged the lioness with her elbow,"If you and Aidan or Lottie or any other friend of yours do something TOP secret and you can't tell me I'll be cool with it," Very curious but cool. "Nope, selling stuff is absolutely different," She corrected. "This is different, besides I can't afford to open up a shop and sell stuffs right, now."DUH! Limited allowance here? "Mhhhmmm. If you insist," She grinned, "Oh did Felix eat a Pygme Puff before?" Important question. Peering down at her poster, Cassia noticed an empty spot. She held up two crayons before Lex's face," Which one?" As she was here might as well help. "The yellow one? Or the purple one?" Though the poster already lots of purple, being her favorite color and all. |

"Sorry." he mumbled into his knees. 'Ijustthoughtyoudidn'twanttohearfromme." he added rather quietly. After all, she had been all angry at him when he said he was leaving, and she hadn't written him either. He liked her hair, he really did. It was all soft and pretty."Oh." he said surprised, ears reddening. She thought he was pretty, or well not pretty, but what ever men are called. "Then do you..." He trailed off. No Yarborough, you are not asking that, he thought to himself. No asking about Moses. That was just stupid. He sat quietly, not knowing what to say, and still feeling very very confused. "I...still...don'tgetit" he mumbled. |
Quote:
”Why, why would you think that?” she asked her eyes widening a bit and she might have wibbled a bit at the fact that he thought she hadn’t wanted to hear from him. That was sad, and very not true. He was still playing with her hair, and so she didn’t really get it when he trailed off. That, and she wasn’t a mind reader so she didn’t know he was asking about that Ravenclaw chaser boy. SO she just bit her lip and leaned closer to him. Confidence. She needed it. Leaning forward the small claw shifted just enough that she was closer to him. ”yeah I think it does” she shrugged, ”if you are asking what I think you are asking if not, then I have no idea what you were attempting to ask and this might clarify” tipping her head so she was looking him in the eyes for a brief moment. BREATHE – she had to remember to do that as she let out a shuddering breath and leaned in closing the gap as she pressed her lips against his. She was trying to be gentle – and sure, maybe that article about kissing had helped. So yeah, she was kissing her friend that had kissed her once and had his heart ripped out by her. Nothing big, It was just enormous. |

"When I was at my old school, we spent a whole lunch making a huge snowball. Started off tiny and we rolled it and rolled it until it picked up all the snow from the ground. It was way bigger than me by the end of the day," Tobias recounted, not knowing if Forrest really cared about his snowball exploits, but sharing them anyway. "It took weeks for it to melt. Weeks." |

She smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I still want to. It's just a manner of when." Obviously sooner would be better than later. "I was thinking either next summer or the summer after." Depending on how other things worked out. Anya shrugged. "You've got time." Jake didn't even know for sure what he wanted to do. |
SPOILER!!: Cassia Cassia was just as aware as her about the fact that she was ripping off people by not telling them but she wouldn't tell them because business was slow. Weird but suuuuure. "You know, I'd disagree with you on this were it not for one thing; idiots deserve to be conned. If you're stupid enough to fall for it then you deserve every knut." That was how she saw it. The idea of wasting money on something as stupid as potential love finally did it. She was trying her hardest at first but now she was just outrightly wrinkling her nose. You have to admit. She held out for quite some time before finally giving in to the immaturity. She considered the next thing she said. "Not really. Some people wouldn't talk to each other except for reasons outside of themselves. Just look at me and West, we don't talk to each other, arguments are avoided. Something or someone brings us into the same conversations and everyone ends up with a headache." See that? Now what if they paired two people that wouldn't have normally spoken to each other. It could end badly. Think about. But no time to dwell on that too long because now Cassia was trying to convince her that it was different, the selling bit. "I'm not gonna argue with you on that. Suckers deserve to get conned. Hope you make lots of money!" GRIN. She was being supportive, couldn't you tell? "And um...no he hasn't, not that I know. I've always caught him. He's eaten three owls and a couple rats before though." Those weren't her problem so she never thought on them. Nope! On to colour picking. Much more important. "I'd say purple but you already have tons of it on the paper so why not yellow?" |

Sonya was in line to be squished! Stumbling around the chair, THAT WAS IN THE WAY, she swooped down and caught the little birdie who apparently found a person on the ground to be tremendously interesting and decided to run towards him, and HOPPED over Airey as he came sliding by. Sticking her landing rather well too if she didn't mind saying so herself. Ten points! Wait... AIREY! "Are you alright?!" Medea whirled around towards the astronomy professor. No broken booones or anything RIGHT? |

Rolled it? He eyed the little mass of snow in front of him. Did they have to roll something for a snowman? He just thought packing the mass tightly would do--oh, Tobias would soon discover he knew nothing about snowmans. Would he be bored and leave then? Yes. He blinked and peeked over his face once his story was over. Hmm. Weeks to melt. Yes. "We can try to do that." He offered him a big grin. It could be pretty epic too. His first ever snowman bigger than him. He could take a--but of course, muggle devices didn't work here. Well. Jack wouldn't believe him, but he could tell his mother. Sadly, he didn't have any snowman story to tell. He shrugged to himself. He just wanted a big snowman for his own. "So um, we start with... rolling." Y'know. How did they roll? |

He didn't even want to think about the green path his suit had painted on the floor. His poor suit. Only fair, he supposed, since he had gotten her boots all paint covered too. Arm up, he flicked it towards his wall to add the last layer of paint to his design and then glanced back at Medea with a giant smirk on his lips. It sort of reminded him of the time he had got his fingers trapped in a Chinese finger trap. You know, the whole pretending that she had chopped it off. Only he wasn't going to pull that stunt again now. He liked seeing her smile. "I win." |
Quote:
Though with the display he just gave and the way he looked all sprawled out as such automatically had her mind going to the worst case scenario. Dead people didn't add more paint to walls or smirk. She was eyeing that smirk! Momentarily. Her hands unclenched around Sonya, letting the little bird run freeeeee again while glancing to his part of the wall. Pardon?? She'd seen some particularly abstract pieces of artwork in her days but... "How in the vorld do you vin?" |
Text Cut: Lex The snake listened with a blank face to the Lioness. Did she just imply that Cassia was conning people? Ouch. Except for the fact that not even a knut made it into her pocket. Oh,well that doesn't make it that hurtful. And here comes the disgusted signs. But it was fine since Lex tried to understand and tolerated the subject at first. Then she couldn't and wasn't convinced. Fair enough. And honestly that was a record, Cassia wished she had had a watch to estimate how long did it take. Let's agree to disagree it was. Cassia listened to the example and tilted her head, "I don't really think that is the same." She said, "You and West bicker because you both are too attached to your points of view. And somehow, you both get irritated by each other's presence." Cassia's theory at least. "When we match people together, we make sure that individuals whose personalities won't mix are not matched together, What you think we do it randomly?" Or WILL do it. "We discuss and do researches and stuffs," Now she made it sound huger. No bad in that. Again. Conning. Again would've hurt had there been any customers. Though she was trying not think about the fact that her bestie would think she would con people. Let's not pull off a drama show, now. It gets boring. ".....Thanks...I guess," She responded as she glanced at her poster. She really didn't feel like going on with it, now. "He...did," That's good to know in case Cassia got one. Not that she was thinking of it. "Really! Lex, your kneazle eats owls and you don't tell me?" What was this madness! HOW COULD SHE NOT tell heeeeeeer this. Oh yellow," Yeah I guess," She said dropping the purple one and working with yellow one. |

Another pause. EVen bigger grin. "So...I win." All the Nutella for him! |
Quote:
Medea huffed, before she sighed and hung her head. Defeated! "I should've offered up something else other than my nutella stash." |
Quote:
Only he did feel a tiny bit bad about taking all of her nutella. The stuff WAS delicious. "Well, you did," he chuckled. "But....eating all that alone would be awfully depressing. So you should have an ice cream nutella tea date with me and we can share." That 'D' word in there did not even register in his brain. He was just over the moon that he had won their little wager. |
Quote:
"You...are a surprisingly sweet vinner, Airey Flamsteed." With a soft smile, she poked him. Nevermind the fact that her hands were paint covered and it left a little blue dot on him. Hardly noticeable. "Alright." |
Quote:
Hey, look at that. He did have some of that Gryffindor chivalry in his veins. Good to know. "Probably should....head back now...before the paint dries too much..." he said, his hands fidgeting inside his pockets for whatever reason. Were his palms sweating too? Hmm. Odd. Considering that he wasn't exactly feeling hot anymore. Swallowing hard for a moment, that all too familiar school boy anxiety kicking in again, his blue eyes shifted from looking at their paintings to Sonya and finally back to Medea. "So....I'll see you later then? You bring the nutella stash and I'll bring the ice cream and tea?" |
Quote:
"Right, right." she nodded, looking down to her boots and then everywhere else. No one could say it was dull looking in here now. Sonya was still having a blast. Apparently slipped in the green paint this time. Something would have to be done about that. "Yea, I'll..." Turning her attention back to Airey, she smiled a little more. "I'll see you later. Nooo being skimpy on the ice cream." They certainly had enough nutella for it. |
Quote:
Because that obviously explained everything. Airey rubbed the back of his neck with one hand while his other tried in vain to find some way to occupy itself. He ended up playing with his tie a bit, not minding so much that there was some paint on it. A few quick spells and it would be good as new. Of course he would also wash it the muggle way for prosperity and to make sure that it was really REALLY clean. "Right...um...well then...I'll...I'll be going then..." Pause. Fidget. Play with tie. Look at Sonya. Step in some more paint. Fidget more. Rub back of neck again. "I've...enjoyed this time, Medea. Thanks." And now he really was going to leave - although his orbital path out of the tree house just so he could linger a bit longer was rather ridiculous. With one last look over his shoulder, he gave Medea a quick salute before jumping (WEEEEEEEEEEE!) down from the tree house and heading back towards the castle once he had landed. |

With that, Tobias crouched down and paused, before shrugging to himself and kneeling straight in the snow. You had to be prepared to get cold if you wanted to have fun after all. He took the snowball and sat it in the snow, before gently nudging it with his fingers so it picked up some snow as it went. Every now and then he adjusted the snow ball so it picked up snow to cover the whole of it, and gradually it started getting bigger. Tobias paused and packed the snow around it properly to make it niiiiice and solid. He grinned at Forrest. "My grandfather taught me that this was the best way." |
Quote:
"Of course." she chuckled, nodding ever so slowly. Ooof course. Hmmmmm. Well...ahem. Right! Stare. Stare stare. Stare staaare. Stare at Sonya. Poke the ground with her boot. Stare at Airey again- Oh! Oh, of course. "Any time." Truly, any time. It was fun. And she said all of that...in her head. Mmhmmmm. After he'd left, she staaaaared around the tree house some more, biting her lip, wondering just how much more she could paint before a student showed up when she noticed his jacket. Still on the chair. Still quite clean too. Mental note to take that to him during their nutella ice cream tea date. Huh. WAAAAAIT A PINK FLUFFY SECOND HERE!! ....Where did Sonya go? |
Quote:
He eyed the pack in front of him, and it didn't look like it would support the weight of a body. But what did he know? It was Tobias who made a snowman bigger than himself. "Okay," he said. Was he supposed to say something else? Guess not, because Tobias had already started making a snowball. After a pause to make sure that was indeed what the other boy was doing, Forrest knelt and got some snow to roll too. So that was what Tobias meant with 'rolling'. To Forrest's amazement, it picked up snow as he rolled it and it got bigger. Wow. Who would have guessed? Not him! "Yeah, I think so too," he answered Tobias with a shy smile of his own. This was like magic, except it was much better because he could actually succeed in his first try. Rolling and rolling, even though he didn't know which part of the snowman he was doing. The head? Hopefully. That ought to be smaller than the rest of the body. "So, um, how many balls do we need?" In cartoons it were always three balls, but maybe Tobias' snowmans were different. |
SPOILER!!: Cassia :D Alexa stopped talking--but only for like a second while she looked at the blank expression her best friend was wearing. She didn't think she'd said anything wrong. Making people think that falling in love was better than candy was straight highway robbery and she knew it so Lex didn't see why she was gonna get so upset about it. "All I'm saying is that there are much better things than finding a 'match' or whatever it is but that's just me. You know it's me. Did you expect me to be bouncing around asking you to sign me up??" NOT. A. CHANCE. So this was probably the part where they agreed to disagree. She did that with Lottie a lot when it came to certain things. It was either that or sit through an unpleasant conversation that she'd have to pretend to be listening to. OHhHhhhhhh. "Is that how it works? I didn't figure there was some kind of method to the madness when it came to this but won't that still be unreliable?" If she was being honest, she was just asking questions for the sake of asking. This was funny and she was otherwise bored. She beamed over at her. [i]"You're welcome!"[/b] Even if the girl didn't actually mean the thank you. Her eyes widened. "I completely forgot! I should have taken him with me on our owl mission--wait...Cass...you've got a demon bird...what if Snaty tried making off with Felix....I'd take a plank to your owl, you know this, right?" No one was allowed to eat her kneazle. And yellow would have added nicely to the poster--what was she saying. There was no way she was condoning this. |
Text Cut: The girl Kaiden just shrugged. "Well, youdidn'twritetomeeither." It wan't like he had just left, he had told her and everything when he found out. And it wasn't like it was his fault that he had left, he had to go where his parents made him. And besides, girls were better at writing letters and all. As she shifted, Kaiden found himself to be once again completely confused by the girl sitting beside him. What on earth was she talking about? And what will clarify? O____________________________O She was kissing him! Why was she kidding him? He blinked once or twice, before finally kissing back. This meant she liked him then, yeah? |
Quote:
The question about how many snowballs they needed reminded Tobias of the fact that they were in the middle of something. You know. Building a snowman. "What? Oh... oh yeah!" He shook his head as if to clear it of a wrackspurt and looked at the snow balls they already had. "Well if you want we can do it with three big snowballs that get smaller the higher it gets? Oooh and what we could do is do that and then pack some snow together really tightly to put the face on it if it's too tight." 'Cause like Tobias was short and he wanted to do a tall snowman. "But yeah d'you wanna do it with three snowballs?" As in, without the part that Forrest had already done. Tobias just felt kinda bad because Forrest had been building it before he even showed up, so he didn't want to take over. As he continued the routine of rolling the snowball and then packing the snow in tighter and repeating, Tobias went on talking. "So, like... how're you liking this place?" They saw each other pretty much every day, sharing a dorm and all, but Tobias was always behind on one piece of homework or another so it was nice to just talk about stuff. |
Quote:
"Three snowballs it is." He grinned at his friend. He looked like he knew what he was doing, so Forrest stopped worrying about stuff for a change and got back to rolling more happily than before. Soon enough, the snow he had collected would be all rolled into two big snowballs, but for now, to maintain some conversation, he was content with the snow in front of him. He stopped rolling for a moment and looked at Tobias' face. He hadn't been expecting the question. I hate it here, he wanted to blurt out, but his lips were sealed. His father had taught him well not to share his displeasure with people too much. "It's--it's fine, I guess." Avoid eye contact, yeah. "How--what do you think?" He said he was coming from a magical family, so... he must be enjoying it. |
