That did it. Wade blinked and few times, just to make sure. Alec got it...

"YEAH!"

Of course he got it. Not just him, the whole student body got it, since they were in this together.

Wade stood pumping his fist in the air, "WOOOOOOOOHHH" He began what looked like a little victory dance. It didn't matter, from what it looked like. He barely acknowledged the slight breeze that went through, maybe it was just the wind.

Oh well, the students won. That was on Wade's mind.

"Oh, hi, Ethan," Benjy greeted with a grin. "I hope so..." It cost enough to come in, so it had better be worth it. He was expecting the staff to at least put up a fight. He smiled, but lightly shook his head. "I've got a seat saved, but thanks for the offer."


"Great!" Benjy said, running his fingers through his hair. "Lafay's beating?" Benjy winced. "Would hate to be the student seeker right about now." Wasn't that meant to be the first rule of beating - taking out the seeker? "I can't imagine Truebridge playing though." It was certainly going to be interesting. "You seriously think they'd play someone who would fall off their broom?" Well, he'd have to wait and see, right?

"Well, I said I would," Benjy said with a smile. That was a good reason. "Oh, I doubt that..." he added with a wink. "But you've probably saved me some bruises." Not that he was planning to fall. "You should come and try it with me sometime. Then you'll see how awesome it is."


"Same," Benjy said with a nod. Probably more than he wanted to hear, for someone he hadn't actually met before. "Sorry Garrick isn't here," he said, not entirely truthfully, and with a furtive glance towards Lex. She would know, right?

"Nice to finally meet you, Lottie..."

...and then Benjy got lost in watching the game. There was so much going on! Who was he meant to follow?

WOW!

That bludger had come close. Peyton had the urge to reach for her bat and whack the heck out of it, but she wasn't playing. So she just continued on with the cheering. "GO STUDENTS, GO!"

Hehehe! Lafay was on West's broom. He said so himself. Hahahaaa!

After giggling in West's direction, Peyton turned back to the game, leaning dangerously forward. SUMMERS, Tag's friend, he was so close to capturing the snitch. "COME ON, SUMMERS! YOU CAN DO! I'VE SEEN YOU DO IT!" Like, catch many Snitches. She has.

AND HE CAUGHT IT! THEY WON.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!" Peyton bounced on her feet, shaking the pompoms enthusiastically over her head. The students WON.

HAHAHAHA! Take THAT professors. Woot!

Just as Peyton was about to dash off the stands and toward the field she felt a sudden chilling breeze. Maybe it was because she wasn't playing and her body wasn't as warm as when she was out there. What ever it was, it was cold.

Tugging her coat tighter, she darted off the stands and toward the pitch, a smiled on her face.

It was a good thing West had taken over for the last of the match, because Jake was screaming cheering. Very loudly. It was almost like he had been playing... except it wasn't... but it was still exciting!

Still cheering, he made a mental note to congratulate Alec. And as he did that, a sudden chill raised the hair on his arms. Eh. He'd forgotten a jacket. Finally sitting down, he scooted close to Anya and wrapped an arm around her. There. He was warmer already. Sort of.

They won....

The students WON!

And he was up on his feet with the crowd, cheering and clapping for Mo and his team, well the entire student team... and yes even for the Professors. It was a very good game “WELL PLAYED! WELL PLAYED!” he hollered clapping his hands. “Little bro not such a bad player is he? Talent runs in the family.” he grins as he nudges his oh-so lovely girlfriend.


Then a chill. Brrr. “Getting a little nippy... we should head indoors—although wouldn’t you want to congratulate Mo first?” he said as he saw the rest of the team storm the pitch...

"Oh, yes, definitely!" Lex agreed with a grin and a firm nod. "But I'm glad he chose the wrong career otherwise we wouldn't have a neat Astro Professor. After Burbage went and got herself eaten I was freaking out that the subject would turn to rubbish but he didn't let that happen!!!" And of course she was very happy he didn't because it was easily one of her favourite subjects.

And Lex BEAMED at Lottie's admitting that Aidan had done good. You know what it did??? It told her that they were on some kind of civilized terms so you know what? She'd assume they were!! Mhm!

Wishful thinking. It was a great thing and kept her bouncing--LIKE WHAT SHE WAS DOING NOW!!! "Did you SEE that???" She yelled, jumping to her feet and cheering with the rest of students! Alec did it!!! He caught the last snitch!!! "That was fantastic!!!!!"

In the middle of cheering there was that chilling breeze again. Like the one they'd felt before they left CoMC class. Seriously, just how many places did this school keep a giant fridge??? Heeeeey, were they all getting ice-cream for a match well played?? She APPROVED!! Not to wait for that to happen, because, you know, it totally would.

Either that or the season was finally catching up to them. Ah winter, the season of hot chocolate and warm blankets. She couldn't wait!

But waaaait, didn't the winter mean a decline in ice-cream consumption? Pffft, not if she could help it. Baaack to cheering.



Lex shrugged a bit, "Not sure they would but then they might have needed to from a lack of players." An odd thought but it could work! That way she'd be well entertained.

Her eyes were still on the pitch until he expressed his doubt. She looked to him in time to see the wink and gave a playful roll of her eyes. "I assure you, between me and my friends you may just give up skateboarding." Heh, if he was around them long enough he'd realize there would be hardly anytime for it. Especially not with her. She was a mover, bouncing, hopping, running, just anything.

OH and that sounded fun!

"Sure! Name a time and place and I'll throw my homework somewhere so I can be there!" GRIN. It looked like a lot of fun...you know...minus the whole falling part.

"Do you have a skateboard that might be fall proof? I could try on that one first." Just until she was sure to not fall on the regular ones.

John smiled and watched his younger sister go down the stands and onto the pitch. It had been a great game, it's been so long since he's placed foot in the stands and actually cheered on the players. Well the BEST player being his brother Kennedy Escalante, that is; and now it was his baby sister Peyton Baltazar!

Hmmm it's getting colder. He furrowed his eyebrows and zipped the zipper of his jacket a little higher, to keep warm.

Carter was on his feet. There was the snitch! Right there! Ohhh! And there was the neghbor boy! Come on squirt! He jumped to his feet and clapped loudly as the students secured the win. He also made a mental note to tell the Summers father about the fantastic win next time he was at home.

After a few minutes of cheering, the Governor sat down and pulled his jacket a little closer. It was starting to get a little nippy.

Anya was on the edge of her seat. Come onnnnn Alec she repeated over and over in her head. And sure enough... HE GOT IT! She squealed happily and clapped excitedly. Victory for the students! She then beamed as Jake hugged her. That was weird. It felt a little colder. Maybe the sun was setting or a cloud rollsd by? She lookedd around to see if she coul tell what happened.

Minerva gave a small smile to the boy, "Well you know Ethan, you met him at the feast. This is Susan she is another puff, a second year actually." She looked around at who else was sitting there, "This is Eliza and Harvey they are both claws, and this is Ariana she is a slytherin." Yep they had everyone but Gryff's sitting near them.

She chuckled as he seemed so nervous, "Don't be nervous, you will learn everything at practice. As for a broom, first years aren't allowed to have their own so you can use a school one. She then turned smiling more, "Plus I'm always up to practice, so if you want extra pitch time let me know. What position are you wanting to play again?"



Minerva gave a slight smile, but more of a concern look at her friend. He still wasn't completely himself. She hated that, she so just wanted to say suck it up buttercup, but she knew it wasn't that easy. She felt helpless around him anymore, she could see him, talk to him, but she couldn't fix what was wrong and she hated that. She was the person that was always trying to help and fix, the fact that she couldn't, well that bugged her to no end. "You sure your alright?" She didn't believe him, his looks spoke louder then his words. "I know your not on the team anymore, but maybe we could go up and fly sometime, I know Ethan would go as well. Now that I'm back on the team I need as much practice as I can get." She gave him a small smiled before turning back to the match.



Minerva was listening to West and Jake and watching the match, it was getting so good. She was impressed with Bellaire and Lafay's beating skills, but they couldn't compete with Elise. That made Minerva nervous, she was good and Min knew it was going to be tough when they played the claws. Wait.. was that a snitch.. "GO Alec... COME ON YOU DO IT... WOOOOOO" This match was so exciting and it was even better now that Alec was the seeker.

As the two seekers went speeding around Min saw a bludger coming at them and ducked back down. Maybe she should just stay snuggled against Ethan, but it didn't last long, because she was on her feet again. "ALEC HAS THE SNITCH!!! WOOHOO ALEC!!! That's my little bro!!" Well her adopted one at least. She was so excited jumping up and down.

Turning she smiled at the two commentators Hey ""West... Jake, is it? You guys did a fantastic job! You should both do this on matches your not playing." That is if they wanted to. Turning she sat back down with her friends just as it started getting colder. Shivering she snuggled into Ethan again, "That was a great game and ending just in time. Man did it get cold." She hadn't worn a coat or anything just her sweatshirt, maybe she would have to remember for the next time. No mind, her smile and excitement wasn't leaving just because the weather changed. She was born in a state that the weather changed by the hour and was always unpredictable, she could handle cold.

To keep his mind of the cold, he was talking to Minnie. As Minnie was telling him all the names, he tried to remember them all. Minnie seemed popular at Hogwarts and always seemed friendly. He nodded to everyone she pointed at. Then the talk about Quidditch calmed him down.

"Oh i did not know that, i thought first years were allowed brooms. I guess i was wrong wasn't I?" he chuckled at that. "I heard from Belle that the school ones are kind of junky and do not work well."

Then she asked what position he wanted. He had not really thought about it. After he thought about it for a few seconds he said, "I really want to be chaser or a beater. They seem pretty cool." he grinned at her. "What position did you play?"

Whoa. Vicious people were vicious. Merlin, it was like a free-for-all brawl out there! But Sky still had to chuckle at Lafay the broom stealer. Not that she would call her that to her face or anything. Nor chuckle. Not a good idea. But then things were getting to hard for her to keep up with and then.....

THE STUDENTS HAD WON?!

"Whooo-hhhhooooo!" And yes, the extra loud yelling was necessary.

Sky pulled her jacket closer around her as a chill went through the air. When had it gotten so cold out here? She didn't remember it being that chilly when the game first started. Hmmm. Weird.

"Maybe I am, maybe not,'' Jory said with a wink. He did like this friendly teasing. He was going to miss it all. He'd probably have very serious co-workers whenever he started working. He turned his attention back to Min. "But you have NEWTs to make up for it, if you didn't like your grades.'' NEWTs and all the studying that came with it. Jory hoped he would have more Outstandings this time.

Suddenly, he heard all the shouting and even Min joined in too. The Puffer turned his attention back to the game and saw Alec racing after the snitch. "Go, go, go, Alec!!" Jory shouted. "Come on!'' But he need not worry. With Alec as Seeker it came as no surprise when the boy's hand closed around the tiny ball. They had won!!



Suddenly, Jory shivered. "Min, was that me or did you feel that coldness?'' he asked, frowning and looking all around. It wasn't cold moments ago. It reminded him of what had happened after Care of Magical Creatures lesson.

Ronnie stood in the stands by herself with Oliver in her arms, cheering as the teams played. It was a bit odd she hadn't found any friends to sit with. Ah well. It didn't matter, she didn't really mind being alone with Oliver.

She watched as that Alec kid caught the snitch and she began clapping along with everyone else. But then suddenly, a breeze blew past her, making her bright orange hair fly a little behind her. She pulled her beanie hat down a little to keep her head warm and shivered. Why was it so cold all of a sudden...? She hugged Oliver close to her chest to keep him warm. Was winter coming already...?

"Yeah thanks." West said sorta vaguely at Minerva. Because he was watching the pitch, the gathering out there. The... blown kisses.

They were for HIM right? He looked around, and noticed Selina in the stands behind him.

And then he looked back down at the gathering of players on the pitch. Well. Well even if they weren't, he'd just pretend they were. They FELT like they were. Not that West was in the business of blowing kisses back to someone who wasn't his girlfriend mind you... he just smiled wider and leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand and his elbow on the announcing table. He knew things too. Like for instance it was her first WIN. It was. Because these were things West knew about like all the Quidditch players anyway obviously. Not for special reasons. Just reason reasons.

He was zoning out so much that he barely even registered the chilling air. He was all warmed up from the inside out, who cared about the weather?

Astrid didn't care about anything else. She was keeping her full attention and focus on the pitch, especially at her Bro Alec and Mama Hulk. Those two were important to her and stuff; they should know that. The brunette would occasionally (or most of the time) scream her lungs out for them. What amused Astrid the most was that chomp by Alice on one of the staff people.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Priceless.

And then she was WATCHING the last snitch. The snitch that, if Alec would be able to catch, would mean the end of the match. If the Professor woman got it, it would end anyway but Astrid would rather Alec take the snitch.

"GO BRO ALEC! GO MAMA HULK!" She was a supportive pseudo!sister, wasn't she? Of course she was. Astrid was on TIPTOES when her bro!Alec and Professor woman were neck and neck on that snitch. Whoa... this match was just so interesting. She had NO regrets leaving breaking out of Beauxbatons her school for today.

AND THEN ALEC GOT IT! PROUD PSEUDO!SISTER MOMENT. Astrid fistpumped in the air as she saw her fake!bro with the final snitch. He was just THAT good you know.

"YESSS!" Too happy. Oh my Merlin.

Amara sort of blinked. That didn't make much sense with the speed talking. HUH? The words were like some sort of riddle type. I know not where it lies but I care less.....blah blah blah stufff! Nevertheless she just nodded through the entire sentence with a smile. YEAH, I GOT IT!

"Uhm...I know a few..not that much..." Yes, she did know some from the pitch. Uh, we aren't really talking about good friends kind are we? Coz she wasn't with some. HEH.

Truebridge flying. "She looks like she's in a frenzy!" With the hair flying like a fiery mass behind her. "Was she a Gryffindor?" She must be, with all the daring and stuff. And the red lion mass hair. YEP. The snake guy was commenting...so loud! And a guy was flying...MO? "OH, so that it you're friend Mo?" she asked, pointing at the guy who the commentator guy called Mo.

The Alec boy caught the snitch!

"HEYYYYYOOOOO!" she cheered loudly. The students had won. And what a fantastic win! The last few points had been close. But, students they had to always be ahead of the staff, hadn't they? SMIRK.

... a shiver running down his body. "It sure is chilly out here. Good thing I wore my jumper. Anyways, great game, huh?" He grinned at his colleague, not as wide as he hoped it would be though. He rubbed against his arms and started to get down the stands. "I remember back when I was a boy. I used to be a Keeper. Pretty intense but I enjoyed it." He could still mount a broom and fly around but not as much to enter a quidditch game. Haha. No.

Ethan gave Benjy a grin in return as he spotted the boy sat near some other students not far away. "I think it's been a good time so far," he nodded. It was pretty exciting, he had to admit, especially with how close the game was.. it really could be anyone's win. "Sure.. another time," he added with a nod. He could always hang out with the younger boy another time.. like common room or something.

Ethan smiled at Harvey as he decided to take him up on the offer and join their group. He took his eyes off the game for a moment as he watched his housemate walk over and sit down next to him, happy to have another bloke in the group. "Doing well, thanks.. you?" He answered then turned the question to him as Harvey asked. "Oh, do you know Eliza? She's in our house too.." He gestured towards the younger girl sitting with them as he said hello to everyone else sitting near them. He glanced over to Minerva as she seemed a bit concerned for Harvey, then he turned back to the other boy and nodded in agreement to her words. "Sure.. anytime you want to go out and fly, I'm game. I can use the practice too," he added with a grin.

He chuckled a bit as Minerva mentioned the espresso. "I'm sure you would be more surprised to see me without it.." He took the last sip of it then set the empty cup down so he could now cheer properly. Glancing out at the pitch, he nodded, hearing her words. "Yes, I think I'm doing the same.. cheering for my teammates especially." His attention turned to the Staff's Keeper at the mention. "She is.. I'm actually quite impressed with her performance. She must have played when she was in school." He glanced back at Min questioningly, wondering if she had ever discussed that with Hadley, knowing how close she was with her Head of House. But he had been watching her a good part of the game, being more interested in that position now. He pulled his arm a little closer as she leaned into him and spoke near his ear. Smiling a little, he said, "Oh, I don't know.. maybe. I'm not a Chaser anymore, anyway.." Maybe if he was, he would have played too.. but he really enjoyed sitting here with his girlfriend and just spectating.

He glanced over at the younger Hufflepuff boy as he approached the group as well.. oh, it was Belle's little brother, wasn't it? Kace, he was sure his name was.. "Hey, there.." he smiled at the boy as he came over at Min introduced him to the rest. "I heard you made your team too.. Congrats!" He must be a pretty decent player to be on the team in his first year.

He turned his attention back to the pitch just as Alec caught the last snitch. The students won! He got to his feet with the rest of them and cheered loudly. What a great game! He sat back down just in time to have Min snuggling into him again and he put his arm around her. "Getting kinda chilly," he mused aloud, though it was November so he wasn't too surprised. "Maybe we should have some hot chocolate by the fireplace when we go back in," he said with a smile as he turned towards his girlfriend.

Alexa surprised him by declaring that she was cheering for both teams but hoping for the student's to come out with a win at the end of the match. Grinning Leo nodded "Me too. I have a feeling that this match will be remembered for several years to come."

The match went on in front and around them with bludgers, players and merlin knew what else that was in the air. Hopefully nobody would injure themselves badly since that was always a calculated risk with a high speed sport like quidditch. Stealing a glance at Alexa he said. "I injured my shoulder in a game where I first got hit in the shoulder by a badly aimed bludger and then the same shoulder when another player by accident collided with me." He still remembered the pain that had pained his shoulder for several weeks after the game.

Beaming broadly Leo said "I wish your team good luck in the matches. What position do you like playing the most?"

Ducking for a quaffle and the two players that were chasing after Leo at first didn’t register that Minerva had spoken until the players had disappeared towards the other side of the pitch. It had been a close call. "I'm happy for you, dear. I mostly played keeper in my school days but it happened that I played beater too if there was a shortage on my team." Nowadays though, he’d probably play only beater since he wasn’t as agile as he had been in his youth.



Each minute passed and each minute the match got more intense. Standing in his seat next to Abraham, Leo cheered, yelled and clapped just as vigorously as everyone else. He wanted to exclaim NOOOOOOOO when Summer’s landed with the last snitch in his hand, winning the match for the students. Leo hadn’t wanted the match to end. Suddenly shivering and feeling the goose bumps trickle up his arms he turned to Ab. "Yes, it got very chilly out here. I hope its not a premonition of a grim winter ahead." Massaging his arms to warm them, Leo stood up too and followed Ab down the stands. "I think I need something hot after this intense but great game. Want to tag along to the Great hall to see if there is anything to warm us up?"

It never occurred to Lex that she might have been speaking a bit too quickly. At the moment she was hyped up on sugar and ice-cream. A wonderful combination that usually had her in the best of moods so she just kept grinning at the girl and eyeing the pitch.

Oh, well that was a start. Soon she'd know them all and things would make more sense. "That's good! Means you're getting around!" And to think she never thought she fit in with the lions. Pffft. Lions got everywhere and knew most everyone either for the right reasons or the wrong reasons. "You should try talking to them, they're real nice." For the most part anyway.

Hahaha. Lex laughed at the girl's assumption before giving a shake of her head. "Noooope, believe it or not, that vicious woman was a Hufflepuff. I'll never understand just how that works but there you have it." And what's this about Mo? OH! Yeah! "Mhm, that one right there!" She said, pointing in confirmation. Mo had played a good game. They all did.

She giggled at the girl's cheering right after they'd caught the final snitch. It was official; the students were awesome. Yuuuuuup.



Lex nodded enthusiastically, especially so after having just watched the match and the biting and the Professors flopping to the ground. If this match had been good for nothing else it gave her a laugh and some time away from all her homework. "Classes should be funny now, don't you think?" What with the Professors remembering just who had tried hitting them with bludgers and who'd nearly de-broomed them. Hehehe.

Her eyes widened significantly. Ouch. Just...oooouch. She didn't even want to think about something like that happening to her. "And what position were you playing when that happened? I imagine you must have passed out from that!" She would have hoped to, otherwise, she'd be in some serious pain. In all this, she still wouldn't question the safety of the sport that her step-mum thought to be barbaric.

OOOOooo!!! Beaming! Lex beamed brightly back at the Librarian. "Thanks Sir! I hope we can actually win one this year." The beaming hadn't faltered, she was merely stating a hope. "And I like playing chaser, in fact, I played chaser in all my games but 'cept one that I missed because of a bad headache." Beater was good too but let's be honest, who in their right mind would hand Alexa Cambridge a beater's bat and unleash her on the pitch??

Then she said her name, Amara. "Hmm you have an interesting name. I am Kace by the way." he said extending his hand for her to shake. He might as well be polite. "It is nice to meet another first year."

Wait, Dude was offering him candy? Kaiden took some of the offered candy, and gave Mo an appreciative nod that said Thanks Dude. He sat there watching the action, and tried to ignore the action that was going on before him... but that was hard. Because there was whispering going on and that made him curious. So as much as he tried to pay attention to those flying in the air his eyes kept drifting down to the girl infront of him. He didn't fail to notice where Mo's hand was, or the fact that the girl's hair went just a little bit pink. He couldn't help wonder why it had done that, and if it smelled like strawberries. You know, since it was pink and all.

Oh, and Mo was leaving? "See ya Dude, and good luck!" he said giving the guy a wave. That was kind of a relief. "Yeah, I petted your head." Kaiden said with a nod before sliding down into the seat Moses had just vacated. And of course on his way down, he managed to slyly sniff at her hair. It smelled nice. "So, uh... your hair." he said rubbing the back of his neck.

This game, it was exciting! And Odessa and Mr Jake were excellent too. And it was exceptionally excellent when the students managed to win. WHOOO GO SEEKER!! and people. And then an eerie coldness swept over him, much like it had in class. This was... odd. "You feel that?" he asked the girl beside him.

"YEAH!" the little girl grinned. She did get to talk to a few cool people and a lot of Claws. HEHE. "I spoke to a lot of people in the last few days....and they're allll cool" AWE. "Well except a few" Select scrawny oldies.

THE HEADMISTRESS WAS A PUFF?

"WHAAA?" the girl was really stunned at that. All along she'd thought the woman was one with the lions. Or the snakes maybe. A Puff? No way! "OH COME ON...She'z..? Really a puff?" She wasn't believing yet. "With all that daring and stuff..." HMMM!

"Wait, is our Bently lion or not?" she asked the older girl. She'd had that doubt for a long time now. The woman wasn't exactly roar-type, was she?

Lex giggled and Amara just grinned. Yeah, so she was loud too. "THE STUDENTS JUST ROCKED IT" she said, excited voice in. "Serves the professors right, they thought they could outrun the students" EVIL GRIN THERE.



Relieved. She was beginning to wonder if the boy would just send her away. What would she do then? His loss. PFFT! But the boy was so nice and kind, he invited her to sit down. She flashed him a brilliant smile before she sat down next to him. She noticed that the boy was a Puff. With the goodness and all... and yet she'd seen some puffs...disturbed. That kinda put her off.

The girl smiled again as she shook the boys hand. "Thanks...And yours is too.. mine, it's Arabic." Yeah, interesting name. "It means eternal...unfading" YEP, I'm always here. GRIN. "But my twin is always prompt in telling me that it also means bitter" A SWEET SMILE THERE. Was she bitter? Well, one could argue that.

"Mutual feelings" When the guy was being so good, the feeling would be so mutual wouldn't it? "Why do I have a feeling that I saw you at the tryouts?" Coz she did see the boy somewhere.

"Oh?" Lex said, raising a curious eyebrow. "You've run into a few rotten eggs as well?" The thought actually amused her. They were only so many of those at the school and she wanted to know which but the girl probably didn't know there names so it wasn't worth asking. "Well so long as no one's being out-rightly mean to you, it's all good, pretend they don't exist. It's what I do." GRIN.

HAHAHAHAHA!!

Lex burst out laughing at the girl's blatant shock. It WAS hard to believe the woman had ever been a puffer but then she remembered Lottie and it suddenly wasn't so hard to imagine. "Yup, you've got some brave puffers and some cowardly lions here." An odd thought mind you but yeah it happened. "She's vicious too. Rememeber Amara, no one ever suspects the Puffer. Makes 'em get away with just about everything." And there was a solemn nod to go with that. Mhm.

Ah Professor Bentley. "Nah." She smiled at the memory of finding out that answer directly from the woman back in her first year. "She was a Ravenclaw." The woman did have a firm head on her shoulder.

Lex chuckled. " They put up a good fight though, I'll admit. The match was epic." Especially Lafay yelling out detentions, hahaha.

She nodded and watched Ethan watching the players who were probably all watching each other to watch out for their competition and everything. Lots of watching. She was also watching the commentators and well, just about everyone in the stands. People watching was her specialty. He looked back at Ethan and agreed, "Yeah, Aidan seems to be doing pretty well. And the seekers have been good too." She wasn't sure if she could ever fly fast enough to be a seeker but maybe she would surprise herself. Not totally sure if Ethan was having doubts or not, Eliza went into PFM. Positive Friend Mode. "Yunno I think you're going to be really great at being a Keeper. I mean, you're really observant and experienced on a broom, plus you've got long arms so I bet you could knock a lot of shots down." They seemed long to her anyway, but maybe that was just because he was older and taller than her. Wincing as she watched the brutality of the game, she peeped out another thought. "I'm pretty glad I didn't have to play against Truebridge. Or Lafay, yeesh!" She winced again as the game continued.



Eliza watched as an older boy came over to talk with Ethan. She wasn't really sure if they'd met before...it was hard to remember things like that. But she smiled and nodded her head in greeting to him anyway.



The third year watched as Min stood and stretched for intermission. That's not a half bad idea, she thought and stood to twist her back around a bit as well. "Nah, I don't think you talk to too many people. It's nice to know a lot of the students," she said while stretching. She reached her arms over her head and spoke again once she put then down and sat. "Plus, I like it when you introduce us. No forcing required!" she said with a laugh and a small smile. She wasn't the best at doing the meeting thing on her own, but she had met Tora while shopping this summer and said hi to some new people at the beginning feast, so maybe she was getting better.

She turned her eyes to the game and followed the players as she answered. "It's a really close game," she said with her voice trailing off...focusing on the blurs of players going by. "Everyone is really on their game today. The professors are especially scary out there," she added with a chuckle. "But no, really. They're scary. But I'm thinking this match might be a bit more charged up than the rest of the year will be." Or at least she hoped, because she really didn't want people trying to take a piece of her like they all seemed to be doing in this match.

After a few minutes went by, the young boy Minerva had waved at earlier came nearer and she introduced everyone. Smiling at him with his spikey hair, Eliza said, "Hi Kace, I'm Eliza. It's nice to meet you! I hear you made the team too, right?" She couldn't imagine being a first year on the Quidditch team. She was nervous about it and she was already used to the whole Hogwarts thing.




The game was really winding down. Things were tense. The score was tight. She was on the edge of her seat. Listening intently to the commentary, which by the way West was really good at doing, she fought to find the snitch and watch the race for it as it unfolded. Come on, come on, come onnnnn! she pleaded internally. Alec was getting closer...closer... "Come onnnn," she muttered, clasping her hands together tightly in anticipation. And then he got it.

She shot out of her seat and started cheering and clapping, hooting and hollering with all the students. "WOOOOO!!!! We won!" She bounced up and down a few times and grinned to her friends. She was sure they were all glad the students had won too, so she kept clapping and enjoying the merriment.




She was still clapping and shouting with everyone when she felt a chill. Despite her winter sweater and scarf, she felt the need to get inside. Like now. She looked around at her company in the stands. "Gosh, it sure got cold all of a sudden, didn't it?" She rubbed her hands together and blew hot air on them. Maybe I should've worn gloves. She wondered if there would be some sort of hot snack she could find in the castle. And oddly enough, despite being cold, she thought some ice cream would be a nice way to celebrate the students' victory tonight as well.
