As you reach any entrance to the stands, a golden turnstile magically materializes out of thin air to effectively block your path. You cannot go around the turnstile and using magic on them will not have the slightest effect. If you wish to enter the stands, you need to pay a flat fee of 5 galleons for adults and alumni and 2 galleons for students to get in. Insert the money into the hole on top of the turnstile; the turnstile will then unlock and will allow you to pass through and climb the stairs to the stands...
...Welcome to the stands!
Grab a front-row seat in the house section of your choice and cheer on the House Quidditch teams as they battle for the Quidditch Cup!
Please remember to follow the school rules; rule-breakers will be punished by means of house point loss and/or detention.

After a short break, where West had stolen away to... say stuff to someone, West took his seat again, making himself comfortable on his cushion once more. He had a NEW sandwich too, thanks to Nigel who had got him one.
Now, on to important things. Had everyone peed?
He turned to look at the crowd, to judge how many people were back and all of that stuff. Alrighty. West leaned forward and spoke into the thingy.
"Alright party people, we're back and soon we'll see the teams take the pitch again! The score is 80-50 to the STUDENTS, with one snitch grab each. Its still anybody's game out here today!"
That was true, but the first half students had kept them IN it with a comfortable lead.
"So lets warm up those voices and let your favourite team know you're rooting for them!" West suggested. "If you're cheering for the STAFF, MAKE SOME NOISE! CAN I GET A WOOP WOOP?" C'mon people humour us! Heh. He cupped his ear with his hand and waited for a response from the Staff supporters.
... "Not bad, not bad. Can the STUDENT SUPPORTERS DO BETTER? Let them know you're here! If you're cheering for the Students, GIVE US A HEYOOOOOOOO!" West pumped the air with one fist in encouragement. Give us some atmosphere, people!

He didn't think he was that late, but he did stop off at the kitchen for his drink which he thought was well worth it on a chilly day like today. Looking out towards the pitch, he thought over her question. "Um, students.. I guess," he started slowly. "Or more like, my teammates.. but I think it will be interesting to watch the professors play too." If that made sense. Not like he was rooting for or against them, he just thought it would be a good time all the way around. Though it felt weird to come to that realization. When was the last time he had gone to a Quidditch game and hadn't really wanted one side to win?
He grinned over at Ariana, her enthusiasm somewhat contagious. "I'm pretty excited too. I think it'll be a good time." And as fun as it would be to see students up against the professors, he didn't really think the staff had much of a chance. How long had it been since they had actually played while the student team played regularly. "A couple of your teammates are playing too, right?" Yeah, he was fairly certain there were Slytherin players so he didn't really have to ask who she would be cheering on, especially when he heard her loudly boo the professors when West asked who was rooting for them. Snicker.
He smiled at Eliza as she greeted him and he turned his attention to the pitch as the commentary began. Hearing a comment the younger Claw made about getting tips, he glanced over at her. "That was sort of my idea too," he said, turning slightly towards her as he kept one eye on the game. "Scoping out the competition a little.. getting a few new tips and techniques." He glanced back towards their Keeper. "I guess I'm watching Aidan in particular," he admitted. "He's not usually Keeper, either." So maybe he'd have to talk to the younger boy after the game to see what he thought about playing a different position and if he had any advice before their house team started practicing. Because right now, he was doing pretty awesome..
Ethan glanced away from the pitch as he noticed another person joining their group. "Hi, Susan," he smiled brightly at Minerva's cousin as she approached. She seemed a little tentative towards them.. well, maybe that was a good thing. Maybe she would think twice about playing pranks especially on him, he didn't want to see her get into any more trouble. But he didn't hold grudges, especially for his girlfriend's cousin, and he was over it. He turned to the game for a moment as Min introduced her to everyone, then chuckled as she mentioned water. "Yes, I've already had a shower today, Susan, thanks.." he turned towards her and chuckled. "Cheering for anyone in particular?" Because for some reason, it felt like that for him.. maybe because it was a combination of teams playing for one? He didn't know..
He turned his attention back to the game, specifically watching the two Keepers. Aidan was doing really well and he had to admit he was fairly impressed with Hadley's blocking skills. As he got to his feet to cheer for Beezus as she headed down the pitch, he noticed a familiar face sitting not too far away. "Harvey!" he called over the roar of the crowd. "Come join us!" He could use another bloke around as he hung out with some of his favorite girls. And then apparently it was half time.. He glanced up at West as he mentioned leaving for snacks and the restroom. Hmm, maybe.. but would he have to pay to get back in?
Harvey looked round in the roar of the crowds as he heard someone call his name, he looked round and saw Ethan. He waved to Ethan as he heard Ethan requesting him to join him and everyone that was around him. It was then that he noticed who else was around Ethan, and figured he could join them and have some fun at the same time. He then went over to Ethan and the rest of the gang, he sat down next to Ethan. "Hey Ethan, how are you?" he asked his friend as they all took a break. He wondered how big the break was cause he didn't want top be sat here for a very long time that he would get bored from just sitting there. But he figured that with his friends around he wouldn't get bored anyways. "Hi everyone else, Mins, Susan" he said trying to greet all that were there but he was trying to think of what else to do while he was sat here with his friends. So he was kind of preoccupied with his thoughts, but he was glad to be here anyways to be with his friends and watching his favourite sport at the same time that he missed playing for sure.
Nigel had just delivered his other sandwich to West and has ready to eat his. It was an awesome sandwich after all. Nigel was busy eating when he hears the megaphone loudly announce for the students to cheer.
But, But he had sandwich in his mouth. He did not want to waste on cheering. But he did want to cheer though. This was a predicament. "HEYOOOOOOOO" Nigel cheered with a mouthful of his sandwich. At least he was cheering.
Now all he wanted to do was enjoy this game and hoped the students won a close game because Nigel was scared to see what would happen if the students started to blow out the teachers.

And then she laughed. "I know! I'm okay with Bellaire, though, but I think Lafay's the one they have to watch out for." SERIOUSLY, though. Madness.
But then called out a name that made her look in the direction her friend was waving. Benjy? Well, what do you know.
Lex nodded thoughtfully. Of the two, Lafay was definitely the more deadly. "Think about it though, Bellaire doesn't like half of us, that's all the reason she needs to send a bludger at any one of them. Still, I see your point." If the woman could set children on fire then she wouldn't have any problem sending a bludger either and especially.
She looked to the pitch.
"The Professors are better at this than I thought they'd be!" And now she was watching with avid interest. Even the Headmistress. The woman was just as terrifying on the pitch!! "And look at Professor Airey!!! Oh! And Aidan!" She said, now pointing to the goal posts he'd been keeping by.
"He's pretty good, isn't he?"....So maybe she was doing this on purpose. It never hurt to hear Lottie compliment him. It meant she was still trying.

As the teams filed into the ground, she just stared. The red-haired woman. "Is that the headmistress?" she asked an equally excited Lex. "OH, LOOK AT FLAMSTEED!" And she was bursting with laughter.
Oooo, quite a happy one she was today! Lex beamed over at her. Good she was getting around and making friends too, Cassia nonetheless!
That was perhaps an odd question but the fact that Amara asked, she felt she'd answer and she did, with a wide grin. "I do! I know 'em all, some more than others though and some less than I'd like too." But there it was. In one way or another she'd had some run in with each of them. Liked most of them and hung out with a few of them. "Do you?"
Lex's head whipped around so she was looking at the pitch again. She figured there must have been some extra reason why the girl had pointed out the obvious. Nothing as happening much anymore though. "Yeah, it is. I never took her for the quidditch type but she's awesome out there." Which probably meant she wouldn't be hit with a bludger. Ah well.
Oh yes and Airey!

A touch of sadness past by his face as he replied. "A shoulder injury from a year’s back is stopping me from playing. I can't danger it reoccurring so I’m here to show support. But I would very much have liked to play if it had been possible." He sighed inaudibly. Fate wasn’t always on your side.
"Have you tried out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team this year Alexa?" Or was she too one that had to sit on the side and watch rather than playing?
Ah, just as she'd suspected. It kinda made sense too because they worked together and probably hung out with each other a lot whereas they only taught the students for a bit each day. "Cool, I'm cheering for both sets really, I want the students to win because we're that awesome but I'm rooting for some of the teachers too!" It was good to have a balance. "I'm sure the match will be epic no matter the outcome though!"
But seriously, she was still waiting for someone to fall off their broom. Just saying. She listened to his reasoning; pity, a real pity. Lex offered him a small smile. "Sorry to hear that, how'd you injure it...if you don't mind me asking." Because she liked knowing everything and as painful as it sounded it was also kinda neat.
His last question had her beaming. "I did actually and I made the team again! Looking forward to a great season, really I just wanna play quidditch again." Tryouts reminded her of everything she'd missed over the summer.

It was hard to not notice West because he was announcing and she would admit that he came in handy for a few plays that she missed, him and Jake, but what REALLY got her was when he started encouraging noise and cheers and general loudness.
She approved.
She approved greatly this meant cheering. Firstly, "WHOOP WHOOP!!!" because she was supporting some of the Professors but then there was a "HEYOOOOOOOO!" because CLEARLY she was on the side of the students and expected a great victory!!!!
Oh and more noise too. "COME ON STUDENTS! SHOW 'EM WHY THEY SHOULD'A STAYED IN THE CLASSROOM!!! WHOOOOOO"
More noise would happen in a bit, once Lottie recovered.

OH. So she was done Chasing. No more chasing for Beezus Castell. The first session was done and whilst the players for the second half of the match got ready, she and Dylan made their way to the Stands to get a better view of things and of course, TO CHEER.
After untying her hair, the brunette grasped her her boyfriend's hand - he's the Slytherin Seeker fyi who played so amazing earlier - and dragged him on some vacant seats NEAR THE COMMENTATORS.
"West! Jake!" Yoooohooooo.
*WAVE WAVE WAVE*
And then she pulled Dylan down, because you know...they were to sit down. Although she stood up again almost instantly when Commentator Odessa asked for a heyoo. "WOOOOH! Go Guuuuuys!" And by guys, she meant the STUDENTS.
Uh huh. They better keep the lead and even add more if possible.

Theo was kinda exhausted, but of course he wouldn't miss the end of the match for the world. Besides, he just HAD to see Professor Bellaire in action. It was much more difficult when he was actually playing. He flopped himself down on a seat which was super hard to find, since the place was packed with people.... students AND adults. He still wore his Quidditch gear, which was bothering him a little cos he was all sweaty.
Before settling, Theo looked quickly over at West, half smiling at his commentary. He was actually kinda good at that.... but Theo still didn't fancy cheering.
Just gonna kick back and relax.
STUDENTS FTW, THOUGH.

Only quidditch could make Mackenzie this happy. Seriously, the first game had been awesome, and now the students were gong to CRUSH the staff. Yep that's what was going to happen. West was a pretty awesome commentator too.
"HEYYYYOOOOOOO" The blonde cheered loudly for the student team!! seriously, she couldn't wait until maybe next school year where she could play against the staff.
Quidditch was a welcomed distraction from life. And she couldn't be happier in this moment.
As the stands started to settle again and everyone looked about ready to start, Jake turned his attention away from Anya and back to the microphone. He glanced at West as the Slytherin did his bit. Also, WAVE to Beezus. “Hey, you did great!” Then, standing up, he took the mic.
“Everybody on your feet as the players come onto the field! Give it up for the second team of students..! We have the students led by co-captains Alice Fischer and Elise Fairfield. Making up the rest of the team is Mo Branxton, Nessie Dixon, Penelope Greenwell, Katrina Hudson and Alec Summers!” Yay for student. Make some noise and al that. “For the professors we have Headmistress Truebridge as captain... and Professors Barlow and Cerulean as chasers, Professors Lafay and Bellaire with the bats, Mr. Firth is keeping, and Professor Romanos as seeker! They’re taking a warm up lap around the pitch. Don’t wear yourselves out now, Professors! Now... on Professor James’ whistle...”
He leaned away from the microphone for a moment as a loud TWEEEEEEEEEET went off from Professor James’ whistle and the match started.
“Professors in possession of the quaffle. Professor Barlow’s got it, with Penelope Greenwell right behind her. Barlow doesn’t look bothered... she’s focused on the goal. Dixon’s catching up, though, and she’s - is she screeching? Distraction. War cry. Whatever works, right? Barlow passes to Truebridge, though, and the headmistress is in the clear fro the scoring area. Truebridge throws and - OH. Near miss for Hudson. That looked like it was just fingertips. So close. That’s ten points for the Professors.”
lives in a hobbit hole || Ern and Touz's Nuzzle || roflysst || looking at a seed packet
Neither the woop woops nor the heyooooos were loud enough for his tastes. Did that mean they didn't cheer appropriately when HE was out there on the pitch? This had to be remedied, West decided. He'd mention it to Professor James since they were tight now. Like this. (He totally did a little gesture with his fingers crossed to support his inner commentary). Jake had started them off well and West leaned forward to watch the action. This time he was less interested in the Headmistresses red hair which snapped like a rather frightening banner in the brisk air because reasons. Other people reasons. Oh and West waved back at Bee and Dylan
BUT HE WAS A PRO, he could DO THIS. West imagined a bro!fist bump with Theo to bolster his spirits and put his game face on as he continued the commentary where Jake left off.
"Quaffle to Students. Hudson puts it back in play... Dixon catches it neatly and zooms up the pitch.... she swerves to avoid Barlow and passes to Branxton who quickly hands it off with some TRICKSY tactics behind the back right back to Dixon .... who quickly flicks it overhead to Greenwell.... she lines up the shot... Greenwell pulls back to shoot... Firth is ready for it ... BUT ITS GOOD! GOAL TO THE STUDENTS!"
Nice. West liked a good play as well as anyone, but sometimes the flashy stuff wasn't necessary right? Still, whatever worked, and it was admirable to see people play together and put stuff together like that when they didn't usually and weren't even on the same team normally.
Meanwhile...
"What are the beaters doing over there? A conference? Whose downfall are Bellaire and Lafay plotting, any guesses? And they take off in tandem after that bludger.... but you KNOW that Fairfield and Fischer are on it! Fischer gnashes her teeth fearlessly at Lafay and gets in there, blocking the professors... Fairfield winds up and sends that bludger STRAIGHT FOR THE GROUNDSKEEPER who was minding his own business over at the goals mind you. Oh ouch sir, was that your nose? Hard luck. 90-50 to the STUDENTS!"
NBD. Y'know. Boom.
"Firth puts the Quaffle back into play, getting a BIT of blood on it in the process. Gross. TILT YOUR HEAD BACK SIR! SHAKE IT OFF! Cerulean catches it... throws it to Truebridge who is yelling... something..." West couldn't make it out. Just yelling. Yelling was good. Ahem.
"She tosses it hard at Barlow who snatches it with precision over Dixon's head... she winds it up and shoots and HUDSON DIVES... but its GOOD! GOAL FOR STAFF!" West gestured dramatically.

He guessed he was trying to make more memories before he left. But there was still time for that. "I haven't forgotten either. It's good to see you working hard again.'' Jory wasn't sure what had happened to Min last year but he was glad to see her back to her old self. "By the way, congrats on your OWL results.'' He had known she would do well.
Jory looked back at the game. He was of course, supporting the students but he would still cheer for her. Well, maybe all of the staff team. It was weird seeing them up on brooms and zipping around the pitch. Oh and look! The Student team had just captured the snitch!
Minerva chuckled, "Yes I think you have been and I don't know why.. Maybe scared of the challenge." Still chuckling she eyed him pretending to intimidate. Then she rolled her eyes at herself, "Oh yes.. off to a better start at least." She hadn't forgotten that he noticed her lack of leadership in academics and points last term. Blushing again she shook her head and looked away, "Thanks but most of the scores were not that great." Nope she had higher expectations for herself and she was still not pleased.

Yet another person was joining their little cluster of people, and Min seemed to know her too. What did she call her? Susie? She smiled at the girl, waved and said in a sing-song fashion, "Hellooo!"
And wait, what? Eliza heard Min say something to Ariana about Oakey and her liking him. Was Ariana having boy troubles? Eliza was so out of the loop with the student gossip. Mainly because she just never snooped around, but also because she was still young and maybe people didn't want to share that information with her yet. She looked over to Ariana and gave her a smile. She didn't know why a boy wouldn't like her. She seemed smart and she was really pretty, so...what was the problem? All the girls at school seemed to be really pretty though. In fact, she was pretty sure that she herself was one of the least cute girls, and although she knew looks weren't everything, it did make her a little shy sometimes.
Eyes back on the game, she held a deep breath as she watched the struggle for the snitch. Dylan sure is fast! She crossed her fingers for him and then - "Yeahhhhh! GO DYLAN!!" How did she know his name? Well he was sort of iconic around here - plus he hung around Beezus a lot, so...you pick up on some things.
She REALLY liked the direction this game was going so far.
Hearing West call an intermission, Minerva stood up and stretched a bit, she wasn't leaving, because well she just didn't want to. Why would she leave a completely comfortable spot with her friends and boyfriend. Turning back to Eliza, she smiled a bit, "I know.. I talk to to many people. It always makes it hard to figure out where to sit, or I just do this and invite everyone to sit together and force all of you to meet." She laughed jokingly. Of course most of them knew each other, but it was comical at times.
"So how do you think the match is going so far? I'm so impressed with Hadley. She is doing great." Minerva beamed like a proud kid for her house mom.. "Everyone is doing super good... There is going to be some real competition this term." Of course she was talking about the students, but if the staff wanted to make a team to play during the season that could be fun too.

He watched them all as the game got good with both sides scoring, He had come in jeans and a jacket being as chilly as it was, so he just sat there watching the game wondering who else had turned up that he couldn't see in the crowds.
Minerva was smiling and laughing with everyone when she heard Ethan say a name that made her head snap up. She eyed the pitch just as West was getting everyone on their feet to cheer and the intermission. She turned, "Alright students.. GOOOOOOO ALEC!!!! GOOOOO NESSIE!!!!" She was ready to see her little bro and her former captain in the air. Seeing the staff come out she frowned a bit, no more cheering for Hadley it looked like. Oh well she could focus on the students now. Then she noticed Ella not out on the pitch anymore, well at least Harvey didn't have to see her play.. She eyed the boy trying to weigh his mood today, "Hey Harvs.. How are you?" She gave him a smile and hoped he would come over and sit with them.

Turning to Minerva with a soft smile he said "Good day Minerva." Shaking his head Leo replied. "I played quidditch in my youth, but not today. Do you play Minerva?" Most children in the magical world had someone in their family that played or had played quidditch in their youth.
Spotting another waving hand, Leo beckoned Cassia over. "Good day Cassia." Stealing a glance at the pitch where the teams were forming he responded. "I'm rooting for my colleagues, but really I just want to see a really good and exciting match."
"Who are you rooting for Cassia?"
When Botros had plopped down on the seat beside him Leo didn’t know but really didn’t care. He was just glad that the man had made it to the match. Holding out some flags to the senior man he asked "Want some flags? I’ve got extra." Smiling broadly at Ab he asked “Did you play quidditch in your youth?"
--
Soon enough the game was started and the excited commentor West Odessa could be heard all over the stands. Leo grimaced and massaged his ears as the boy squealed right into the microphone. He forgot it though as the game got intense with goals being scored, a bludger zooming past his ear and the seekers spotting the snitch for the first time in the match.
When Alistaire halted the match for a break, Leo pulled out a napkin from his robes to wipe away some sweat from his forehead. Turning to Ab he said "This game is intense. Who do you think will come out with the win in the end?"
Oh he played when he was younger, she still wondered why he wasn't playing today, he was part of the staff, did he not like to play or maybe injured and was scared. Shrugging the thoughts away knowing it really wasn't any of her business, Minerva nodded, "I do play. I hadn't since my third term, well I guess my fourth term I played the championship match as a sub, but I am on the team this term." That made her smile even bigger she was so happy to be back on the team. "I play beater, what position did you play if you don't mind me asking?"

Smiling at his arm going around her, she knew she was set for this match. She wasn't leaving this spot for anything. "No I haven't been here to long. I figured you would be on your way and I'm not surprised to see the espresso." If she would have known he was headed there though she might have meet him to get herself a hot chocolate, but oh well that could wait until after the match.
She turned her eyes back to the pitch, "ALRIGHT... GO NESSIE!!!" She really was enjoying herself, "I don't think I'm really cheering on any team, just people. Hadley was doing amazing. " She then couldn't help but smile and lean closer and whisper, "I think you should be out there.. Your a great chaser, maybe even better then some of them." Not that she was biased or anything.
Okaaay. Jake needed water. All this talking was making his throat hurt. Maybe that’s why West was eating. Did sandwiches help that sort of thing? He’d have to look that up.
...Anyway. “And it’s Dixon with the quaffle again. All three professor!chasers are surrounding her, though... there, she passes to Branxton. He’s taking a weird route... going above everyone. Smart, though. Ravenclaw. But Firth is quickly gaining on him and it’s back to Dixon. Truebridge and Cerulean are teaming against her... they’re closing in... Dixon enters the scoring area and... OH! Wide. She misses.”
“BUT LOOK. THE SEEKERS HAVE SPOTTED THE SNITCH!” Jake could tell, even from far away. The look of concentration was THAT obvious on their faces. The prefect looked around, trying to find the gold ball, but quickly just turned his attention back to the players. “Romanos looks like she’s got the lead. Summers is right after her, though. And the Puff’s got some power! He’s catching up! LOOK AT THAT! SUMMERS IS IN THE LEAD. There’s a bit of a shoving match going on... come on, Alec! Neither of them are giving up... this will be a close... is that... YES. YES, ALEC SUMMERS HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH. Fifty points to the students! Nice one, Alec!”
Breathe. In. Out. Relax. Quaffle again.
“The quaffle’s back to the staff. You can practically feel the new rush of adrenaline in them, can’t you? They really WANT to win. Cerulean’s got the quaffle, and she’s headed straight for Greenwell. Greenwell makes a grab for the quaffle right as Cerulean tries to throw it to Truebridge and - AHA! It falls. Somebody catch it! And...” Jake groaned. “Barlow caught it. She’s got a clear path to the goals... she aims... COME ON, HUDSON... Barlow scores. Ten points to professors.”
Yeah... so... Jake definitely needed to work on the whole unbiased commentating thing.

SUMMERS CAUGHT THE SNITCH!
Theo suddenly got to his feet and started fistbumping the air. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH." He bellowed, not even clocking on that he was cheering for Alec Summers. Psshht... no, he was cheering for everyone else, yup. But actually, Theo just really wanted the students to kick some teacher butt.
So if that meant cheering for Alec Summers, well, that was what he had to do.

Mo caught the candy neatly and grinned broadly at Vickers before turning back to the game. He offered some to the professor, and then to Kaiden behind them (heeeey, creeper), and then to Mika. Y'know... sharing.
Vickers nodded in agreement as he drew an arm to hug Vivi while he continued to sip his drink. Indeed humble pie never hurt anybody.... well except those who needed a hefty serving of it.
He gave her a small smirk at her name calling her brother “Its candy... he probably needs the sugar since he’s up after this.” he said nudging his head towards the pitch. Speaking of candies, seems like their stash is running a little low... he should get some refills during halftime.

BEAM.
LOL! What? Nah, Professor Bellaire didn't hate them. Not all of them, anyway. She was just a very strict Professor. Honestly, Lottie was very glad she was, now with Transfiguration, that is, because you cannot tolerate disorder and chaos in Transfiguration. Charms was another story.
So, yes, Lafay. Nod, nod.
The Professors? Nah. Just Airey. We're not biased or antyhing."Professor Airey really surprised me. I think he picked the wrong career, don't you agree?" Also, look at the pygmy puff stealer on the hoops! "The Groundskeeper is not so bad either...," but Aidan had been better. Not that she was saaaaying that or anything.
Aidan comment. Lottie cleared her throat, but soon smiled. "He was very good. I cannot deny that." She was honest, you know?
"SEEKER!BOY, YOU'RE AMAZING!" she exclaimed, once he'd caught the snitch and all. She wasn't going to ask him for this snitch, don't worry. It didn't count if she didn't play. It's okay. However, she could use a third snitch.
As Minerva sat with Ariana and Eliza she noticed Belle's brother coming up in the stands. She smiled and waved at him. He could sit here if he wanted that would be fine. "Hey Kace, if you need people to sit with you are welcome with us." She wondered if he was going to meet up with any friends or not. She felt bad, she hadn't really paid much attention with all the classes going on. She would try harder to make sure he was adjusting well. "Are you going to watch to get some tips? We will be starting practices soon." She was excited the boy got on the team, it was nice to get some new faces and experience in there.
When Kace was going up, he noticed Min talking to him. He didn't really know anyone and why not make friends with older students huh? "Oh sure if you guys don't mind." he grinned and sat with him.
When she asked if he was going to watch for some tips, he nodded. "Yeah and plus i wanna know how the game is played. I am nervous for practices though and to be honest i do not even have a broom yet. I do not know where i will get one."
Then he heard Alec Summers caught the snitch. "YAY GOO ALEC!!!" he jumped up and down cheering on his fellow housemate and then he heard Professor Barlow scored. This game was getting very interesting. He clapped for the professors to be polite.

"Possession, Students." West updated as the next play began. He paused to bite his sandwich. Necessary nutrition was necessary.
"Hudson is looking STEAMED." West paused to admire this as she tossed the Quaffle HARD, he didn't mind Kat getting riled, y'know? She'd never been mad at HIM so it was refreshing in a way. Yep. "Also, has anyone disinfected that Quaffle?" Because Firth!blood was still on there from before, but at least the Groundskeeper's nose wasn't bleeding anymore. And Summers was ALREADY hunting for the Snitch again, and so was Romanos... West hid his sandwich just in case.
"Branxton catches it and starts up the pitch... he's eyeing up Bellaire... folks I don't think he wants to get in her way, see how polite he's being with that little bow and everything?... Truebridge has NO TIME for bows and she's getting in there! ELBOWS! CLAWS! WATCH OUT MO!... he passes... Greenwell is boxed in and Fairfield goes to her rescue... LAFAY IS ON THE PROWL SHE HAS FAIRFIELD IN HER SIGHTS... THERE IS A BLUDGER GOING STRAIGHT FOR THE THREE OF THEM!"
AND WHERE WAS ALICE? West PAUSED NOTICEABLY in his commentary... There she was.
"FISCHER IS HOLDING BELLAIRE HOSTAGE WITH HER TEETH."
No really, that was what it looked like. It was compelling. Had she just bitten the Transfiguration Professor? West KNEW she was his favourite. KNEW it.
"BELLAIRE IS YELLING ABOUT DETENTION.... Greenwell breaks through! Branxton and Dixon are coming up behind her... the three of them are heading for Firth who is rubbing his nose... Greenwell passes to Branxton... he shoots.... FIRTH GOES FOR IT... but its WIDE! Branxton MISSES!"
EVERYTHING WAS HAPPENING AT ONCE WHAT WAS THIS? WHERE TO LOOK?
THWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
"Fairfield hits a bludger and it CRACKS LAFAY'S BROOM!" West watched as the Potions professor hurtled to the grass below, but she jumped off and landed on her feet. Classy. Also, EXCEEDINGLY ANGRY. West didn't envy Elise in that moment. "LAFAY IS ALSO YELLING ABOUT DETENTION! DETENTION ALL ROUND! 140 - 60, Students ahead!"
Merlin he needed a brea--
"THE SEEKERS HAVE SPOTTED THE SNITCH." And nowhere near his sandwich this time... in fact it was hovering around Truebridge's hair! "Get on your feet and cheer them on!" Really. They needed it.
"Firth tosses the Quaffle back in play... Barlow snatches it and speeds up the pitch... Truebridge elbows Dixon out of the way... Barlow winds up and shoots... Hudson stretches... GOAL FOR STAFF!"
Oh man. Oh man. Oh man.
WEST was on his feet.
"SUMMERS AND ROMANOS ARE NECK AND NECK... Summers reaches out....but its TANGLED IN TRUEBRIDGE's HAIR and he hesitates! Romanos has no such concerns and she GRABS A HANDFUL. SHE GETS THE SNITCH FOR THE STAFF!" And y'know, a few strands of glorious red hair, no big deal.
"The score is almost even, 140-120 to the students, its down to one last grab!"

Don't talk to him, don't touch him. He didn't care. He didn't care about anyone right now. Ascanius was FAR too immersed in this game to care about throwing out a compliment to anyone or gracing ANYONE'S presence with his face. 'Cause, yeah, he had a nice one of those.
No, instead, he was watching Quidditch and for the first time in his life, save that ONE part of practice that he held a few days ago, he was in it. So no touchy, no talky, no nothing. Or else it was about to get seriously Essex up in here. And he was not messing around about that.
Oh hey, LOOK! No, seriously look. His girlfriend scored. Smug boyfriend face. Yep, she was pretty awesome.
Then the cryer caught the little yellow ball thing with wings, the snidget right? And the students were in the lead. Bam.
Having lost a boot in the locker room Peyton had freaked out thinking she'd miss the game. She had even considered coming out with just one boot, but thankfully she found it under a bench. How it got there, she didn't know. The good thing was that she was here, ready to cheer with her pompoms, the ones her sisters had given her.
They were finally coming in useful for something, her sisters.
Anyway, she squeezed her way through to the front. Being small came in handy and she got a good seat. Not that she was going to sit down. She waved her pompoms in the air, an excited look on her face. Oh, look. "GO, MO!" the fourth year squealed. He'd been nice to her, so he was in her good list. That and he had nice hair.
Oh. He missed. It was okay, the game was still going on and the students were in the lead. Peyton waved the pompoms from side to side, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! THIS WAS TOO AWESOME!
She was usually the player, so taking the seat of a spectator was a new thing. You didn't feel the same thrill as when you were playing, but the excitement was high all around.

" She then couldn't help but smile and lean closer and whisper, "I think you should be out there.. Your a great chaser, maybe even better then some of them." Not that she was biased or anything.
Harvey watched as the game got started again, happy to see that the students were doing a good job of showing the professors that they as students were really awesome at the game. Of course better than them, not that he was going to say that out aloud. He noticed that some players had changed, Ella wasn't on the pitch anymore so he basically hadn't seen her play. He didn't care too much though, he was trying to concentrate on the game itself and not on who was and wasn't playing. He looked at Mins as he sat down when she greeted him "Hey Mins" he greeted her back with a smile, it was the least he could do for his best friend. How was he? That was a good question...he was wondering how to answer that question. He took a deep breath before answering "Im good, enjoying watching the game. What more could I ask for? right?" he said turning his attention back to the game, he then decided to think of some fun things that he could do. He wondered if there was anyone to there that could teach him how to have fun again, cause more than anything that's what he missed the most. Having fun and smiling, laughing like he used to. He heard everyone cheer which he didn't join in with as he wasn't too into cheering, but no matter he was happy to be here watching his favourite sport. He watched as the staff had nearly caught up with their second snitch grab, come on guys get those snitches!! He said trying to pass them the message through the power of their minds.
Jake groaned again as Romanos got the snitch. This was a CLOSE game. Which was fun and all... but meh.
“So it’s back to the students with the quaffle. The staff clearly have a new wind. Penelope has possession and Barlow is trying to take the quaffle back. More shoving. This is NOT a nice, friendly game, guys. These players are NOT holding back. Truebridge has joined Barlow... Watch out, Penelope! She’s dropped the quaffle... ugh. Branxton’s right there, though, and he’s got it. Good catch, Ravenbro. And with that distraction it looks like Branxton’s free for the goal posts... He throws... Mr. Firth makes a SPECTACULAR dive if I say so myself... good thing he’s not wearing that kilt, mhm... but MISSES THE QUAFFLE. BRANXTON SCORES. Ten more points to the students!”
THAT was more like it.
“Firth passes the quaffle back into play to Cerulean. Penelope Greenwell has her game face on, everyone, and she is charging the professor. I think I’d be scared if I wasn’t on her team. And apparently Cerulean thinks the same! She passes to Truebridge, who is immediately surrounded by Dixon and Branxton. She passes - doesn’t look like she aimed well - but Barlow catches it! Barely. That was a close one. She’s got it easy to the goal posts... HUDSON IS READY for her though... Barlow aims and throws... OH!” Jake leaned away from the mic as Kat Hudson made a daring dive in front of a side goal hoop. The quaffle caught her fingertips, spun, and made it through the hoop. “So close, there, Hudson. So. Close. That’s another ten points to the staff, making the score 150 to 130 with the students still in the lead. So close...”
Too close. But Jake had confidence in the students, yep.

Wade had been sitting near the top of the stands , after his part of the match was done. He actually kind of liked the rush of playing as Chaser now.. Hmm.. But, that was another matter. For now, Wade was furrowing his brows and all, whenever his team wasn't scoring or capturing snitches and quaffles.
When they succeeded, however, Wade would stand to his full height, "YEAH!" along with pumping his fist in the air, screaming, "WOOOOOOOOH!" Nothing odd about that, nope. That was mainly for the student players, heh.
Oh boy, here it came, the final snitch. "GO ALEC!" The Hair rufflers got to support each other, you know? Plus, this was great practice for the other games. Heh, heh. Anyways, who got the last grab, Wade was anxious on his seat as he watched.
Nigel was up on his feet with the sandwich partially in his mouth. It was really good and hydrating for some reason. But whatever, the snitch had appeared. That takes priority right now. Nigel watches as Alec and Professor Romanos dive for the snitch. "COME ON ALEC. COME ON ALEC"
Nigel wanted the students to win of course. He was a student. He holds his breath and screamed a loud "YES!!!" when Alec caught the snitch. "YES!!"
Nigel was not even thinking about how mad the Professors would be now that they lost the match. But the students WON!!!.

Seriously. This was crazy. West was glad he wasn't playing, not because it was TOUGH out there but because he had the best view possible right here in the announcers box. On his comfy cushion. Except that he was mostly on his feet now because EXCITEMENT.
He exchanged looks with Jake and then looked out over the pitch again.
"150-130 to students, the Staff are closing the gap... its down to the final snitch grab folks, the rest is all just for show now." So it was all on Summers. West eyed the Hufflepuff Seeker out there. Champion seeker. The pressure was all on him now. West tried to mentally send some good vibes.
Because he was SUPER impartial, obviously.
"Hudson tosses the Quaffle back in play." West turned to look behind him at Dylan and Theo. Significant looks. Team looks. She'd need them later huh? West was down for that. Anyways back to the gameplay...
"Lafay is back on the pitch with a borrowed broo... hey! That's MY broom!"
COUGH!SPLUTTER. West breaathed deeply. Okay. No big. Head of House. He supposed she had rights.
"... she's back on the pitch and swinging Lucille... There's the bludger! Heading right for Romanos!... but she dodges it... Has she SEEN THE SNITCH? SUMMERS IS RIGHT ON HER TAIL! And look at that zig-zagging! West could barely contain himself.
It wasn't over yet! The whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr of a Bludger, West was SURE he could hear it from here and... ARGH. "DUCK!" The Bludger ZOOMED over the crowd in the stands, narrowly missing them all and coming back around.
"LAFAY IS WAITING FOR IT....Fischer is trying to get there but she's fenced in by Truebridge and Barlow!.... STOP SCREECHING, DIXON!" West hollered as her screeches echoed around the pitch, loud enough to startle Fairfield and almost have her collide with Branxton. Startled, Elise reached out and grabbed Cerulean's broomstick as Bellaire practically snarled at her. Professor James blew her whistle and announced a five point penalty to STUDENTS for BLAGGING.
"Students get a five point penalty...Greenwell has the Quaffle... Branxton puts his head down and zooms after her.... she passes to him... he passes it to Dixon.... she shoots.... Firth lunges to the left... and it GOES THROUGH THE CENTER HOOP! SCORE FOR STUDENTS!"
YAYYY BUT THE BLUDGER! West's voice raised up eagerly, "Lafay gets there.... she winds up Lucille... and HITS IT HARD... THE BLUDGER JUST TOOK OUT ELISE FAIRFIE-- WOAH! ELISE FAIRFIELD JUST TOOK OUT KATRINA HUDSON! Two in one for Lafay!"
Fairfield and Hudson landed in a pile on the grass but West wasn't even watching them now because suddenly Summers had changed direction. Romanos had been faking him out and....
"SUMMERS HAS SPOTTED THE SNITCH, HE REACHES FOR IT.......... reaaaaaaaaaaches for it.......... Romanos is swerving around and coming up behind.... he reaaaaaaaches...." West leaned forward as if HE was reaching TOO.
"ALEC SUMMERS HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH FOR THE STUDENTS! STUDENTS WIN! STUDENTS WIN! 195-130!"
Aaaaaand..... he was spent. West flopped back in his seat and immediately looked for someone again. Someone for reasons.

THEY HAD WON. THE STUDENTS HAD WON.
Theo was suddenly going berserk, throwing all sorts of hand gestures and words at the pitch. GOOOSH, he wished he was playing right now to soak up the win. But it was still great to watch properly, too. Alec would get a pat on the back later, not only for the snitch catching, but for old times sake. Theo kinda felt like he was ready to get his old friend back. RESPECT.
"GOOOOOOooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOO TEAM!"
Told ya, STUDENTS FTW.
And West's shouting confirmed that. Wanna be any louder, mate? Seriously.

As the crowd erupts into a deafening cheer for their student team, a gentle, chilling breeze folds in around the stadium, slinking it's way through the stands and field. Perhaps it's just the winter weather starting to make it's frosty appearance.
Or perhaps the excitement of the stadium is drawing something nearer.
