The staff room? That was pretty cool, Tobias was naturally curious about this place. He looked around him, taking in as much as he could. Tobias wasn't sure that he liked this teacher dude, and he wasn't keen about using this spell to see where people had died but he just wasn't going to dwell on that right now. Fidgeting and shifting his feet because hello standing still was hard, Tobias waited for the scary man to continue and wondered vaguely if he'd get in trouble for accidentally on purpose not getting the spell right.

Continued Class in the Staff Room? That wasn't so bad, Students weren't usually allowed in here so Oakey will give Vinteren a point for coolness.

He stood somewhere near the back of the class ,and noted that Professor Knox was in the Staff Room too? Was she here just lounging around then, or was she here to help with the class? If this ended up getting boring, he could nod off while standing.

Lovely to see him too? Well how nice, she was being nice today. Erik smirked in Ivy's general direction but then, once the rest of the class arrived, went back to his usual emotionless expression. He cleared his throat once to get their attention and then spoke up from his quite comfortable chair.

"Class...ve are gathered here today to test the Spiritum Revelio spell. As you know, someone died in vhis room. But who? Who should ve concentrate on revealing as ve try vhis spell?"

Just a refresher question to see who was paying attention...

Lex was looking around and taking in everything for as long as she could. It wasn't everyday that students got invited in here and she didn't think it'd be happening again for a very long time, if ever. While looking, she tried to think of all the places that could light up green.

For all they knew there might have been some epic battle here before Harry Potter was even born and it led to someone dying. That'd be neat! It'd also leave questions because something like that should have been taught at some point. Or maybe it had but she simply hadn't been listening? That seemed just as likely.

Oh. A question. One they'd already covered.

"Professor Binns died in here, he's the one we're looking for..well...the green indicating his pace of death anyway." That was how it worked yes?

Hadn't Alice already stated who had died in there? While they walked in, had the professor not noticed her voice that it was Binns? He was very unobservant, she decided, and possibly hard of hearing. Did people go deaf at his age? Someone was extremely nice to look at and easy on the eyes, though clearly not the sharpest quill in the box. But SHE had been paying attention, see?

Obviously. She did that in classes. Kind of.

Jory had been looking around. It was getting crowded with all the students in the room. Just then Professor Vinteren spoke. Oh, an easy question. He raised his hand. "Professor Binns,'' Jory said.

Professor Binns. Yup. A few people had already shared this answer so Ella simply nodded her head in agreement and let her green eyes take in the space. Where had he died in here? Meep! Was she standing in the very spot he had died? Shuffle.

The blonde casually took a step to the left, y'know, just in case.

Nigel must have blanked on the the question he was asked because he was still looking at Professor Knox and why she was here because it she must have known a class was going to be in here. Or Vinteren did not tell anybody. That seemed more true than not.

He turned back and just said what everyone else was saying "Binns" He said shrugging. Now when can we try this spell.

Yeah, he was there. Yeah, he was listening. Yeah, he had noticed that the hot Professor who always seemed to be bothered by something was there. Yeah, he noticed all of this.

No, he did not answer. Mostly 'cause he didn't want to, but that was beside the point. Ascanius also knew that it was POINTLESS to talk with this question because he didn't know it and everyone else would answer it for him. So.. solid. He was just gonna chill right here.

Tag merely stood about as he let his classmates give out the answer to Professor Vinteren's question. And as he expected several of his classmates began to give the professor the answer, so it was all good for Tag.

Anyway Tag was beginning to feel slightly uncomfortable knowing that he was standing in a place of someone's death. It was just an odd thought. Then again, they couldn't really avoid it if that was the classes lesson today.

Right, the question of who they were looking for... Something Penelope didn't feel like answering. A couple others were already on that anyway, so no need to repeat it, right? Instead she continued looking around the room, taking in everything around her and still wondering if Professor Knox being here was gonna be part of the lesson.

'We are gathered here today...'. Geez, stop the creepiness, Vinteren. No need to make it even worse. Still, as much fun it had been following Oakey, and the rest of the class, to the Staff Room, Lottie went to stand by Lex this time around.

It was perfectly obvious she still didn't trust the man in charge of History of Magic. Yet.

Hand raised. "Professor Binns, supposedly." Like, he's the fellow that got them here to begin with. What ever happened to Professor Binns, though? Because that's one ghost she's failed to see. "He's the reason we're here." Also, YOU are the reason we're here, Vinteren...

...and a wave and smile was given to the one person who makes them clean in class. HAAAAAIIIII IVY KNOX. We know who you are.

Good, so now everyone, not just the Gryffindor captain yes he had heard her knew who had died in this room. "We're looking for Professor Binns' outline vhen, class."

He paused and gave them a look, then gestured toward Knox's chair. "Please form a line and vhen one at a time, you may test vhe spell by vhinking of Binns and looking for his shadow. Again, only you vill see it vhen you yourself test vhe spell." And he gestured for them to go forth and practise it on the chair near the fireplace. The only other occupied chair in the room, in other words.

Class was winding down anyway. He'd find it amusing if Knox glowed green because of where she was sitting.

I will not be a parrot, I will not be a parrot...... Surely that would so much easier if the professors quit asking questions that had only one correct answer? Either way, Sky was still paying attention. She just wasn't answering, since so many other people had already given it. Nope. No boring repeats from her. But a question was plaguing her. "Why here of all places? I mean, wouldn't it have made Binns much more interesting to die in, say, a bathroom? Because he didn't seem to have all that interesting of a backstory and it worked for that muggle guy?" What was his name? Elvers or something like that?

And they were moving on. Wait, what was that? He wanted them to cast on Knox's chair? Gladly. Just not the spell they were practicing. "Spiritum Revelio!" And of course, the chair lit up in green. Smmmiiirrrrrk.

Okay....they were moving on.

And the subject of their practice was Professor Cuthbert Binns? She could remember reading about him. He died at a particularly old age. He died in this room, the Staff Room while he was sleeping and well, he might have had a nightmare or something that caused him to die in his slumber. Hmm.

When Professor Vinteren instructed that they fall in line, she followed behind a Slytherin girl and waited for her turn.

....She walked up to the chair near the fireplace, exactly where the other Professor in the room was. Err, did she want to move or? ...Maybe not then. Beezus shrugged, pointed her wand at Professor Knox the woman's chair, thought hard about Professor Cuthbert Binns......THINKING HARD, YES.... "Spiritum Revelio!" Circle...and point!

............Nothing was happ - Oh, hello there Professor Knox....you look....green.

Well?

Well.....success! The spell worked for her. Smiling to herself, she moved aside to let the next person practice.

She would move... eventually. But curiousity was getting the best of her and she wondered if she would turn green from the spell. Sure enough, when the first couple students cast the spell, the green spirit markings from Professor Binn's death revealed itself.

Hmm. Interesting. Somewhat creepy, but all the more fascinating. "Excellent," she muttered pleasantly. Then she stood up and walked over to stand by Erik as the rest of the students practiced the spell.

"You seem to be handling things quite well," she murmured to him. He almost seemed like a real Professor, mhm.

They weren't wasting anymore time, this was where they cast the spell! She'd been hoping for a reason to cast in the direction of that woman but as luck would have it she got out of the seat they would be aiming at.

Pity.

When it was her turn she walked closer to the chair. "Spiritum Revelio!" Lex STARED, waiting for the outline to reveal itself. Others had seen it. Her not seeing would have meant she failed, which, you know, there was nothing wrong with but 'cept for that Mr. Vinteren was standing right there so she'd rather NOT fail. Yeah, just putting that out there.

A few seconds passed and she was about to cast again when slowly she saw the green outline forming...

NEAT!

Lowering her wand she walked over to the chair and STARED some more. This was all quite fascinating. Lex ran her hand along it wondering if anything epic would happen before settling with giving it a few curious pokes.

Uh-huh....

Jory joined the line and as he waited for his turn he watched the students as they had their go. Of course, he could see nothing as he would have to cast the spell himself in order to see.

He was excited to give it a shot and when his turn came, he stepped up to the chair in which Professor Know was seated. The Puffer thought of Professor Binns. "Spiritum Revelio!" A circle and point for the wand movement.

And there it was! That green colour lit up so that it look like Professor Know was glowing green.

Oh, that was wicked! Though, she particularly thought Ivy Knox's spells were far more useful than this one. She'd be definitely trying this out in every single room at Hogwarts. Though, only a handful of people had died inside. Which wasn't as much fun. Except the places of Hogwarts' battles.

Moving on...

...she wanted a shot at practicing this as well. Ivy Knox had already moved, but she still needed to see if it worked by her casting.

"Spiritum Revelio." circular motion and...ANDTHEREITWASTHEPRETTYGREEN!!! Erm, there it was. That was all. When can we be dismissed? Unless Vinteren was giving them a walking tour around Hogwarts...in which case, she'll pass.

So basically there goal at the moment was to go ghost/spirit hunting. However much some people might enjoy that, Lexi wasn't one of them.

The point of there class was to point there wand at charm lady's chair and say the spell and then she would become a greeny color because she was possessed where Binns died. Because even though the charms lady probably wasn't possessed by the spirit it made total sense that she could be since she was sitting where he died.

And then charm lady left so she was going to be casting the spell on an empty chair. That was much better. "Spiritum Revelio," she said forcefully making the circular motion with her wand.

Nothing happened.

No creepy green outline.

Nothing.

Then Lexi remembered she wasn't thinking to hardly about Binns. Now she had to think. BINNS. BINNS. BINNS. Circular motion. "Spiritum Revelio," Lexi said while still thinking of Binns.

Then she saw the creepy green shadow. Success.

When it was his turn to try the spell West focused on what he knew about Binns, trying to keep him in his head and focus....

Then he drew the circle, counter-clockwise, and jab!pointed his wand through its centre, and said, "Spiritum Revelio!" He watched as the GREEEEEEN outline-y glow appeared... and what he could see of the outline was slouchy, which made sense since he'd died in his sleep right? Interesting.

Also, that was a historical chair then wasn't it? Why didn't the Goblins take that?

Pleased he'd done it right, West smiled politely at both professors and moved out of the way so someone else could have a go. Too bad professor Knox moved, he'd not mind seeing what it was like if a body was in the way.

She would never say it but she completely agreed with Sky…it was true he could have come up with a more interesting place to kick the bucket in – so to speak, but it wasn’t as if you knew when you were going to die. And hadn’t he died while sleeping – so, come in here for your final nap? That sounded very Binns-like.

Stifling a yawn as she thought about the former Professor Mika took out her wand and took a few steps closer to Professor Knox. ”S-spiritum Revelio” it dind’t work of course because of her emotions doing it. ”Spiritum Revelio!” she tried again blinked a few times.

She blinked a few times and watched as the green marks that were once ON Professor Knox suddenly shifted back into the chair. That was interesting - Mika released a slightly relief filled breath. Since at least it meant she had been sitting in Spirit and not spirit latching onto her to catch a ride to a new resting place.

Minerva had stood back watching everyone else. She felt her stomach in knots. She did not want to see where someone died. How morbid was that!! Could they not just let the dead stay gone and not worry about where they were.

NO...well alright

Minerva stepped up it was her turn. She saw where they were casting and she knew she had to do it as well. Grateful that Professor Knox had moved, she really didn't want to see the green on her professor, Minerva raised her wand. Doing the wand movements Spiritum Revelio, but her eyes closed automatically just like in the classroom.

Minerva shook her head it was time to stop being a baby, it wasn't like they would actually see a dead body. Redoing the movements Spiritum Revelio She watched as the green marks showed up. Just looking at them Minerva felt relieved that it was done and over with and turned from the green to move and let others go or if she was the last one then maybe they would be done.

Tobias stepped forward as his turn approached. He was still kind of uneasy but there was a simple way of getting around this. Just simply keeping his eyes closed would work fine.

Clearing his throat, Tobias raised his wand and did the funny wand movement, the circle and point. "Spiritum Revel-yo."

He only remembered a second or two later to close his eyes, but as he did, he noticed a lack of green anyway. Peeking through his eyelids again, he turned out to be right. Yep. The chair was the same colour. "Oh." No wait, that was good. Shrugging his shoulders, Tobias just moved aside for the next person because he didn't want to take up too much time. He could perfect it in the homework if he wanted to.

Nigel wanted to try this and actually see the green outline. It would be a very interesting spell if it actually work on a body that was more than a hundred years dead. So lets see.

Then he drew the circle, counter-clockwise, and pointed his wand through its center, and said, "Spiritum Revelio" . Then his eyes closed on their own. Which was pretty cool. Then when he opened them again he noticed the green outline. So that must mean that the spell was working and somebody actually died in this room at one point.

It was indeed amazing!
