When she'd got the blushing under control, Ella looked up again and her green eyes found Alec's now blue ones. That meant he was happy, yeah? Grin. She really liked it when he was happy. "Yeah, course you do." Why did he sound so surprised again? "Anytime."

The sheepish grin was returned and Ella eyed Alec curiously. He was gripping the basket he was holding rather tightly and it made Ella wonder if everything was okay. "You alright, Summers?" She asked quietly, touching his cheek gently with her hand. There was no reason to be nervous, was there?

The hand squeeze? It was nice and Ella smiled up at Alec, giving his hand a small squeeze back. "Closing my eyes?" Well she hadn't expected that. Surprises were good, though. Ella liked surprises. Mostly. "Yeah, I can do that." Grin. And the sixteen year old closed her eyes, trusting that Alec wouldn't walk her into any walls or anything. "Lead the way."

"Thanks!" he said, inwardly fanboying over the fact that his girlfriend thought he looked nice. That... was a good enough term, right? Because he had spent quite a bit of time getting ready today -- this was something that was never going to be mentioned to anyone EVER -- and yet, she thought that he looked good. ... It... was just a nice feeling.

Alec blinked. Was he alright? Did she... know? "Yeah, yeah!" he said, rather quickly, feeling his cheek growing a little hot from where she was touching it. Yeah... why was she doing that, again? ... "Erm... I mean... yeah, everything's good! You okay?" Deep breaths, Summers, deep breaths...

The Hufflepuff nodded in response before smiling reassuringly. He was hoping that she wouldn't be mad about... things. And a lot of practice and preparation had gone into this too. "Okay and no peeking! I've got you," he said before leading her over towards the door of the room of requirement. He took a quick peek inside again before grinning and walking through completely.

It wasn't much, truth be told. A hill top immediately met his eyes but it wasn't the dangerous kind either. And it was pretty simple too. That's what he liked about this. Looking up, he saw that the sky was dark and scattered with plenty of stars. Perfect. Simply... perfect. He looked back over at the blonde haired girl and grinned. "You can open them now..."

Ella grinned and shook her head at Alec. "You said that already, y'know." The thanking her thing. He didn't need to thank her, either. It was sort of her job to remind him how nice he looked or how perfectly ruffled his hair was or just how brilliant he was in general. Girlfriend duties and all.

So something was definitely up. Alec was blushing and just being... suspicious. Ella's eyebrows raised a little and she eyed him curiously, wondering what he was thinking...or planning...or had planned. "Okay, just checking." She was smiling at him but still a bit confused by his behavior. "Me? I'm brilliant. Really." Nodnod.

The sixteen year old nodded, a small smile on her face. "No peeking." She'd just follow him and try not to bounce because she was really excited, y'know. Excited and eager to see what he'd thought up. Whatever it was, she was sure it'd be lovely. He knew her really well, Alec did.

She opened her eyes slowly, a broad smile forming almost immediately when she saw where they were. This was..."Perfect." Completely perfect. Ella looked over at Alec and simply BEAMED because she really didn't know what else to say. She loved this, okay?

"Want to sit?"

Her cheeks turned a bit more red when he called her beautiful. D'aww shucks! Ronnie loved hearing him call her beautiful, she could hear him say it all day and never get tired of it! He was just such a sweetheart. GAH. "Thanks," she said, smiling and leaning over to plant a kiss on his cheek. Surprisingly, she was already feeling a lot more better!

And to make her feel even more better, Jory had a gift for her! Squeee! Oh! Wasn't it Valentines Day?! . . . It was! Thankfully, Ronnie had bought him a gift for this day a while ago already. But it wasn't with her. *sigh* Anywho, time to open it! She grabbed it as he handed to her and beamed. "I have a gift for you too but it's in the common room," she explained as she opened it to find...OHMYGOSH. A whole bunch of comic books! MARVEL ONES! Oooh! And Spidey was in here! She squealed, hugging them all close to her chest. "Oh my gosh! Jory! THANK YOU! I love them!" she exclaimed and she set them on the coffee table then scooched closer to her boyfriend so that she could kiss him. What a sweetheart!

More presents! Jory couldn't wait to see what Ronnie had got him. He really liked the one she had given him earlier. The teddy and the picture frame with her photo were both on the night stand next to his bed. However, he had finished the sweets in no time. They had come in handy during his late night studies.


The Puffer started grinning as he watched his girlfriend's reaction. He knew she would love it! Picking these comics out had not been hard for him. He hugged her. "I knew you'd like them,'' he told her. Maybe he would get her some action figures next? Hehe. let the scheming begin! "And you're most welcome, Rons.'' He kissed her back. "Maybe we can read them together?''

Smiling, she squeezed him tight. "You're the best boyfriend EVER!" she told him as she let him go. He sure was, always getting her gifts and all. Speaking of his gifts, she pointed to the necklace hanging around her neck that he had given her not long ago. "I've worn it every day since you gave it to me." She beamed. It was beautiful, and she planned on keeping it forever.

She then smiled, nodding. "I'd love to!" she said as she glanced over at the little radio, wondering if Jory maybe would wanna dance like they had at the fundraiser. Hmm...

BLINK. So... he was starting to repeat things? Really? Uh oh. "I did? I... erm... sorry!" he said sheepishly, reaching up a hand to ruffle his hair only to groan and let it fall to his side again. Because he shouldn't be messing with his hair so much. What if he ruffled it to a point where it became really REALLY messy and just... not nice?

She... knew didn't she? What if she ended up foiling his plans? Alec's blue eyes grew a little wider at the thought. See, this is what happened when your girlfriend was, well, super smart! How was it that she always knew things? ... Anyways... "That's great!" he said, grinning nervously at her, "And hey, this is our second Valentine's Day together!" And picking out a card was easier this time round since they did love each other now.

"I hope you like it!" The boy gave her hand a small, gentle squeeze as he looked around the room again. It was hard to think that they were actually in a room, though. Or that they were still at Hogwarts. It felt as if it was the holidays and they were going on a trip, just the two of them.

He looked back at her in time to see her beaming which only made him grin back, although this time, not nervously. "You think so?" Did that mean that she liked it? Especially if she thought it was perfect? GRIN GRIN GRIN.

"YEAH!" ... Enthusiastic much? "I mean... yeah! Erm... how about... over there?" He nodded over towards a patch of grass a little further ahead of the two of them. "I brought along a blanket too!" You know, just in case she was scared of ruining her dress because of the grass.

Why was he so nervous? It was adorable, really, but Ella couldn't stop wondering about it. "That's okay," She assured him, giving him a warm smile. "No need to apologize." And could she ruffle his hair too? Cause it was only fair and he shouldn't be monopolizing his hair like that, yeah? Boyfriend let his girlfriend try now, please? Standing on her tippy toes, she ruffled it gently, smiling at her work. There, perfect hair was perfect.

Their second valentine's day together. Ella beamed at this, nodding her head. "I like that. You're a good valentine, y'know. Best one I know." And she might be a little biased but shhhhh, no one had to mention that.

"I do think so," Ella said quietly, walking in a circle and taking it all in. She liked this very much. When she was done, she made her way back over to Alec and hugged him as best she could around the basket he was holding on to. "Thanks for this." Cause it was just so them and she couldn't have thought up a better place to spend Valentine's Day.

Giggle! Alec's enthusiasm was noted and she shared it too. The blonde grinned at him before looked over at the spot he had suggested. "Sounds good to meee." BEAM. "Good thinking on the blanket, Summers. You definitely came prepared." She was impressed, y'know.

The sixteen year old linked her arm with his and led him over to that spot, smiling to herself. She then looked up at him expectantly. Blanket now?

The smile on the girl's face was enough to calm his nerves just a little bit. But it was also enough to make him just want to stare at her. She had a nice face, Ells did, and a nice smile too! Did she know- ... Oh? Alec blinked a little as the girl stood on her tiptoes and he was ready to lean down and kiss her when... she went to ruffle his hair instead. Odd. Nice but... odd. "I... thanks! It didn't look too messy, did it?" Is that why she decided to ruffle it too?

GRIN. Good Valentine! Best Valentine she knew! Those were the things he was going to wear on his chest proudly because... just because. And this was something that was coming from her so... "You're a great Valentine too, you know," Nudge.

Alec tucked his hands into his pockets and he watched her as she started walking around the room, a dreamy sort of smile spreading across his face. It was probably creepy of him but sometimes, he just... liked watching her. ... Yeah, that was really creepy. He shook his head and grinned as she came back and hugged him. "Anytime!" he whispered, wrapping his arms around her and giving her an awkward side hug back, "Erm... it might get better?" Might.

"Awesome!" he said, nodding back at her, "Thanks! And... it's not bad to prepare for this, is it?" ... Yeah... someone needed to get him a book on how to be romantic. Before he could think much on what this book could be like, she was leading him over towards the spot and he followed like an obedient puppy.

... BLANKET!

The sixteen year old set the basket down on the grass and moved slightly so that his body was kind of shielding the opening. He opened the basket and reached inside, bringing out the blanket. The basket was closed and the blanket was laid down on the grass as neatly as possible before he turned to the girl and said, "After you!"

Aww. Wasn't Ronnie just adorable. "And you're the best girlfriend,'' Jory said. Yes, she was! It was still hard of him to believe he had found someone who was so similar to him in many ways. And she kept that necklace on all the time? He smiled. "I'm glad you like it. I had seen it last year when my Dad took me to the store when he was looking for something for mom.'' And somehow, that necklace had been burned into his brain. Now he knew why.

Awesome! Maybe they should start with Spiderman? It didn't matter to Jory. Superheroes ruled! He noticed Ronnie glancing at the radio. "What's up?'' he asked.

"You're welcome." And she wasn't trying to fix his hair, just wanted to touch it. Some people's hair just looked touchable, y'know? Alec had hair like that. And meeep! She made him think his hair didn't look nice? Uh-oh. "No...no, of course not. It looked nice. Really nice, actually. I just felt like it." Grin. He wasn't cross with her, was he?

Ella grinned at the nudge and nudged Alec back, feeling those butterflies fluttering around in her belly again. "Thanks. I'm really glad you think so." And could she get gummy worms for something like this? She liked gummy worms.

It might get better? This earned the boy an eyebrow raise and Ella's smile broadened just a bit. "Really?" She didn't see how it could, it was already pretty amazing.

"Not bad at all," Ella answered, looking up at Alec seriously. "I think it's nice that you thought this up." Really nice and thoughtful too. She appreciated it.

Whatever was in the basket was top secret, huh? Ella couldn't help but notice the way the boy was guarding the thing. She smiled a bit to herself and shrugged it off, knowing she'd find out eventually. "Why thank you, kind sir." Grin! Ella flopped down and scooted over, making room for the boy. Could she give him his gifts now?

Feeling slightly silly about his thoughts -- why were his thoughts so weird and... just weird? -- Alec shuffled a little at the spot he was standing on. What with all this shuffling, he may as well be cleaning the floor with his shoes. Great! "Oh... I... thanks!" Was he saying that a lot in their meeting? "Do you usually feel like ruffling people's hair?" Not that he minded; her hair ruffles felt nice.

"Anytime!" he said, nudging her again. Which... he actually probably shouldn't have done. Who knows, the girl could be good at nudge wars too! But something Alec wasn't great at? Keeping his mouth shut and not giving away clues. "Really really!" he nodded at her, "Erm... it depends on you?" Hair!ruffle. ... Yeah... he wasn't great at this at all.

The sixteen year old could feel his heart filling with pride when the girl said that he had thought up of it. "Thanks!" Except... to him, it didn't seem like much, actually. "As long as you like it." Shrug.

"Kind sir?" he asked before letting out a small chuckle. He bowed his head before saying, "Anytime, my lady!" Mentally thanking Tag for those olden!English speaking practice sessions, Alec grinned at his girlfriend before sitting down next to her. "Okay so... do you want food or presents first?" Important question, that.

She smiled. "Like it? No, I love it." she said, nodding and looking down at it while she listened to him explain how he had seen it. It really was beautiful, and every time she looked at it, she thought of Jory and when he had given it to her...the way it made her heart pound when he put it around her neck. It gave her butterflies in her stomach at the memory of it. Looking up, she continued to smile at him.

"Oh, I was just thinking about slow dancing." she replied, chuckling to herself as she turned her attention back to Jory. She then raised an eyebrow, as if asking if he wanted to. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE.

"Welcome," Ella said quietly, eyeing all the shuffling. She could maybe stand on his feet for him if it'd help. Besides, that way she'd be closer to his lips. Ahem... "Mostly just yours." That was probably really weird, yeah? Only at least Alec seemed to be okay with her weirdness. It made it easier to not hide after she said awkward things like that out loud.

Ella was supposed to be a good finder but she just couldn't find the right fit for all the puzzle pieces Alec was giving her. The blonde simply smiled and tilted her head, a curious expression on her face. "I'm sure I'll like whatever you have planned, y'know." Cause if it came from Alec, she was sure to love it. Just saying.

"I don't just like it, I love it." Just so they were clear and everything. She poked his cheek gently for good measure, hoping to elicit a smile that way. The shrugging and shuffling and ruffling had her a bit worried about him.

Ella was giggling as Alec played along, the whole time thinking how great he was. She supposed that other people thought they were crazy what with all the grinning and complimenting they did but she didn't mind. She quite liked their crazy if she was being honest. She scooted closer to him and thought about his question for a moment before replying, "Presents."

She could give him his first, yeah? "For you." And please don't hate it.

So... they were talking about ruffling people's hair. That was... normal. BLINK. Maybe he needed to go back to primary school and learn how to converse properly. "You do?" GRIN. "You know you could ruffle it any time you want, yeah?" ... Yeah... still talking about ruffling hair. Absolutely normal.

See, the thing with planning things for your girlfriend, who was SUPER nice by the way, was that she was bound to like whatever you planned. Alec... didn't really know how he felt about that. What if... well... "What if... it's really bad?" he asked, tilting his head, "Like... like broccoli bad?" And Ells was nice so... she could just say she liked something to make him feel better.

"I'm really glad that you do!" Love it, that is. That was very impor-- ... "Hey!" he said, grinning and touching the spot on his cheek where she had poked him, "Why the poke?" GRIN.

Presents first? Alec opened his mouth to ask her whether she had eaten anything today but, instead, decided against it. It could just start some weird, frowny conversations followed by a string of unnecessary apologies and that was the last thing the two of them needed right now. "Sounds great!" And... could he wrap his arms around her or kiss her...?

... Oh? It was his turn first, yeah? The boy gave the blonde a grin before opening his present and taking a peek inside. ... GRIN GRIN GRIN GRIN GRIN. "Rawr means I love you in Dinosawr, right?" Awesome card was awesome! "I love it! All of it! Thanks!" GRIN. And the envelope had a lip!kiss on it. Just saying. "Erm... and is that a CD?"

... OH! His gift! "For you!" he said, holding out the basket to the girl, "Erm... there's food in there too, for the picnic, but you can just ignore that?" Or eat it, he didn't mind. He smiled before taking out the packet of gummy worms and ripping it open. Nom nom nom...

"I do, yeah." And from all the grinning, it seemed like he didn't mind it so much which was good. "I'll keep that in mind." For future reference and all. BEAM.

"Broccoli bad?" Ella couldn't help it and she started to giggle, shaking her head at him. "I don't think you'd ever come up with something that bad. You know me really well." Which meant his ideas where she was concerned were usually really good ones. Reassuring smile for the boyfriend because he didn't have to worry about it. Not at all.

See? The poking worked! Ella beamed up at the boy and shrugged. "Just wanted to see you smile. I like it when you do that, y'know." Only he did know because she'd told him as much in the past, yeah? Yeah. No harm in repeating the fact, though. Especially if it meant more smiling from him.

Ella was nervous about the gifting and she inched closer to Alec, hoping she could save the situation with a hug if he absolutely hated her gift. Only...he was grinning! BEAM! She felt really proud of that fact because it was because of something she did. "It does mean that, yup!" So rawwwwr to you, Alec Summers. "Really?!" She squeaked before she could stop herself, all smiles and excitement. "I'm glad and I erm..." The CD. That wasn't totally lame, was it? "It's filled with songs that remind me of you...and us." Blush.

And then it was her turn and Ella took the basket carefully, smiling up at Alec as he explained about the food. "I'll do my best to ignore it until after." Grin. The blonde was really pleased with everything inside and she kept looking up at Alec with this ridiculously large smile each time she found something new. She even took out the teddy and gave it a squeeze because awww, she loved it. And then...she saw it.

Blink.

Ella picked up the ring gingerly and held it in front of her, a nervous smile on her face. It was beautiful...and it looked expensive...and no one had ever given her a ring before. "This is um...it's..." She looked to him, not able to find the words. "You got me a ring?" Mini!beam.

Her hazel eyes nearly fell out of that little aburnish colored head of hers as soon as they recognized what was in front of them.

A huge. Nay. Countless huge. HEAPS. Of various ice cream flavors. Just like she had asked for.

All of them stacked nicely in gigantic china bowls with pretty designs. Each flavor had a different bowl with a different design and each bowl looked equally as bright and colorful as the rest. She looked all around her in a dreamlike state. Is this real life? she wondered breathlessly as she meandered through the aisles and clusters of ice cream bounty.

She wanted to try them ALL. But she knew she had to start somewhere, so she picked a bright orange pile that looked like it might be mango or tangerine or dreamsicle or something amazing like that. But wait...I need a sp- And no sooner than she began to think it, that she saw a rather large assortment of shiny spoons on a rolling cart nearby.

There were silver spoons, gold spoons, bronze spoons, and even stone spoons if you were into that kind of thing. She plucked up a shiny golden spoon and dipped it into the orange ice cream. Seeing no need for manners really, the Ravenclaw popped that spoonful right into her mouth and went right on eating from the massive mound before her. This was the life.

Jory grinned. "I'm glad you loved it then,'' he corrected. It was indeed a beautiful necklace. "A beautiful necklace for a beautiful girl,'' he added. He hugged her again and planted a kiss on her cheek and waited to see her blush again. She looked so very pretty when she blushed.

Dancing Jory had not been much of a dancing fan. That is until a few weeks ago when he and Ronnie had their first dance at that fundraiser. Grinning, the Puffer stood up, and got the music going. It was a nice slow tune just like the one they had danced before. He walked over back to Ronnie and held out his hand. "May I have this dance, my lady?'' he asked.

Her mind seemed a bit foggy today...a little more than foggy really. For the past three hours, she'd been in her Common Room trying to finish up the last of her home work. It was so bad that she hadn't even had a drop of ice-cream. This being busy thing wasn't working for her. Deciding she needed a break, she went walking but the only thing she could think of was ice-cream.

The wonderful goodness. How could anyone not think about it. Of late, she couldn't get it off her mind and she bet actually having some would make this all go away.

Her walking was stopped by a sudden chill coming from behind a door that she was almost sure hadn't always been there. Without questioning it, she yanked it open. Cold meant ice-cream. DUH.

Eeeep! She was right too!! The room was FULL of the stuff!!! MERLIN!!! She had to be dreaming--NOBODY pinch her!

She walked over to a pile and helped herself to a bowl. This was ice-cream heavy...and there was someone who was sharing it with her. "Eliza!!! Hai!!!" She shoved a spoonful in her mouth. "How you dooooin'??"

She blushed when he called her beautiful. Oh, there we go with the blushing again. Ronnie wondered if it'd ever stop...or just stay forever and ever every time he complimented her or whatever. She really hoped not... "Aww, thanks Jory." she said, smiling and leaning in to him as he hugged her. Sure, the blushing was embarrassing but it was worth hearing him tell her she was beautiful.

Her heart skipped a beat when he suddenly stood up and turned on the radio. She felt her heart beat start to go faster as he walked back over to him. Squeeeee! Was he really going to dance with her?! GAH! The perfect Valentines Day! Beaming, she took his hand and stood up. "But of course!" she said, giggling and pulling him close to her as they began to dance.

So... that was settled then. GRIN. "Awesome!" he said, "And it doesn't count as or towards snogging so that's not breaking Flamsteed's rules." You know, if she wanted to ruffle his hair somewhere in the Astronomy tower. And was she okay with talking about hair or...?

... She did... hate broccoli, right? It wasn't just his imagination? "You don't? ... I hope I don't!" Come up with something bad, that is. "You know me really well too, you know. Like with the ice cream and Wonderwall and that puppy!toy." Which... he had squished out of luck before coming here. She didn't need to know that.

And see? She did know him really well! So well that she knew that poking his cheek would make him smile. "You make me smile too, you know," Just in case she doubted that. As for the bit about liking it when he smiled... yeah... he knew that. It was still nice of her to say that, though.

Alec was a little nervous when she inched closer to him but he brushed this off and concentrated on the gifts instead. "I can speak dinosaur! RAWR!" GRIN! ... "Really really! Awesome choices, you," His eyes flicked between the blonde haired girl to the CD and then back again as Ells started explaining what this was about. "That's... I..." Seeing as he didn't really know what to say, could he kiss her instead? Yeah? ... "Erm... I... I think that's the nicest and sweetest gifts anyone's ever given me," he whispered, right before leaning across and giving her a small kiss on the cheek.

"Or you could start eating, if you want?" he said, smiling nervously at her. Now it was his moment of truth. The boy placed the CD down carefully and looked at her, his heart starting to beat a million miles a minute. It was probably something really silly to get all worked up and nervous about but he couldn't really help it. This wasn't something he went around doing often. ... And the girl liked the teddy bear? GRIN.

Okay. Breathe... breathe... breathe... "Erm..." Hair!ruffle. "Yeah, it's erm... I... let me explain," He took a deep breath before launching into what could only be described as a ramble. "See, I remembered one of our conversations and what how you felt about... things..." Lottie things amongst others. "So, erm... I decided to get you something that'll show you that you don't have to worry about those... things... and my mind went to a promise ring. ... Erm... and that's what that is." He also didn't need to mention that it took him a long time to find this one because he was too busy freaking out over avoiding the engagement rings.

Jory smiled. He loved when she blushed. It blended in quite well with her red hair. Tomato head. Hehe. But he suspected she might stop with the blushing after a while. He put an arm around her and just held her. His Ronnie. Had all this helped getting Oliver off of her mind? He certainly hoped so. Jory really thought Ronnie should get a new pet but he would suggest that a long, long time from now.

The Puffer grinned broadly at the look of excitement on Ronnie's face. He wasn't nervous this time around like he had been the first time and he was pleased about that. Placing his hands around her waist, the couple began to dance. "I like dancing now,'' Jory said to Ronnie. "But only when it's with you.''

He just had to mention snogging, didn't he? Ella's eyes casually flicked down to his lips and she turned a bit pink. She hadn't gotten a kiss yet, y'know. Just saying. ... Shaking it off, she smiled a little and nodded. "Exactly! Airey would be proud of us for keeping our promise, I think." And it was good to know if the urge to ruffle his hair hit while they were there, she could do that freely.

Ella definitely wasn't a broccoli fan so she got the point. No worries there. "Course I don't." She thought Alec had really good taste in gifts, actually. "You won't." She was pretty sure about that too. The sixteen year old grinned at the mention of things she'd gotten him, nodding her head. "I'm really glad you like them. I see the puppy!toy comes in handy." Although she hoped she wasn't going to be replaced, y'know. He could always hug her instead.

"I know I do." She really liked that she could make him smile. It made her really really happy.

Giggle! "You're practically fluent in dino!talk, it seems." Ellasaurus was clearly impressed. "Thanks! I'm really happy you like everything." Cause if he hated them she might just be a little gutted. All doubts were swept away when he started whispering, though. The leaning thing too? That made her brain go all fuzzy and the cheek kiss sealed it. Yup. Brain was totally mush now. She didn't really have words to reply so she simply smiled. A broad smile for the boyfriend. Mhm.

"That's okay, I can wait." For the food, that is. And she was no longer paying attention to him because her eyes were on all the goodies in the basket. He'd done really well, Alec had.

Oh, an explanation? Ella's green eyes locked with Alec's blue ones and she smiled encouragingly, waiting to hear what he wanted to say. Oh. ...Oh. oh. oh. A promise ring. BLUSH. "Erm and..." She whispered, looking down at the ring now. "What are you promising, exactly?" And she loved the ring, by the way. She'd need to get that part out too at some point.

Ronnie beamed when he said he liked dancing. "I'm glad you do, I'd be quite sad if you didn't." she said with a soft chuckle. She of course loved dancing as well. Only with Jory though! Smiling, she leaned into him as they danced.

After a while, she lead them back to the couch and took a seat. She took his hand in hers and held it, turning to look at him. "Want me to go grab your present real quick?" she asked with a smile.

"Well, all the credit goes to you,'' Jory told Ronnie. He grinned. "Remember how I was nervous the first time we danced? I was so afraid of looking silly in front of you.'' Not to mention steeping on her feet. But he had surprised himself as he turned out not to be as bad as he had thought.
