| | The Practice Pitch When not in use for games, the pitch is open for students to practice their Quidditch skills before attending team tryouts or work on their flying skills. Note: There isn't any Quidditch equipment available for use nor is there any available in the Broomshed. Anyone who is wishing to use any Quidditch equipment must get permission from Professor James and allow her to provide you with the equipment. Failure to abide by this simple and practical safety rule will result in the loss of 5 points per offence. Those who repeatedly break this rule can receive detention and/or lose posting privileges in this part of the school.
Once the Quidditch season officially begins, team captains can contact Professor James to reserve the field for practices and non-team members can watch practices occur. When practices aren't in session, the pitch is open for flying practice. Note: This thread is for IC role playing and not chatter. All SS board rules apply in this thread. |

Practice Pitch. That was Kat's next destination. This time, she was going to spend an HOUR on a broom and just fly around. Maybe practice some stuff for next term. Maybe even reminisce the time when she used to be a Chaser and not a Keeper. She could do a lot on the broom so yes, it was memorable. Kinda. She'd been on the team ever since her fourth year, as a starting player. Never even missed a single match as well. It was just a huge DEAL and she decided that it was much more important so she gave herself an hour for this one.
With a school broom (yeah yeah, don't JUDGE) with her, Kat mounted it and kicked off. Wow... nice. Just her and the broom and the pitch. Almost felt like she was playing Quidditch again, minus the team mates and the robes. Oh well. Sighs. She made rounds and laps around the pitch and sped up in one point. Gosh, she missed it. She was going to miss the pitch this coming summer, with Quidditch season now that it has ended.
....
An hour felt like 10 minutes. The time was just so FAST when Kat was enjoying herself. Enough with that, Kat landed and dismounted the broom. Yeah, time to return it to its original place.

She still had some way to go when it came to them.
Sarah caught the ball Laura sent her way. Then she looked at her watch, "oopsies, I forgot we were meant to be timing this, I think we have used two minutes already, so it means we have five more minutes to dribble it to the lake and back! We can so do this! Catch!"Then the ball was in the air again, in the direction of the lake. Sarah flew after it, so she would be in her place when Laura threw it back to her.
It was wierd flying out of a pitch in Hogwarts. She did it at home, yet in Hogwarts they were only meant to fly in a pitch. THankfully she had permission to fly off the pitch though. Laura wasn't sure if she wanted to do this but well she had promised and now she wasn't going to back down, she flew off towards the Quaffle and caught it, the football was working well and Laura was thinking this game was awesome the only problem was the race meant that she was going to have to do something she hadn't done since her accident.
Laura threw the Quaffle back towards Sarah and then she went flying towards the lake, this was the first time she hadn't flown for ages, she just hoped that nothing would happen and she could get back down to the ground, though she must admit she was enjoy being back in the air.
