Minerva listened to Professor Botros and then cringed as the plates split. How on earth were they wrong with two answers. They had a smart group, this was very frustrating, but Minerva just stood quietly. She knew Runes wasn't her best subject, so how could she try to fight anything being right. Well that stunk, because she felt her house did an amazing job working together and discussing when they didn't understand as well as deal with a unicorn in a very mature and calm matter. But it was what it was so she just listened to the rest of the lecture and then smile, "Nice lesson professor very interesting activity, especially with our little visitor showing up." With that she turned and headed back to get her bag. |
The second rune answer had been Uruz...that was what jumped out at Jory. Hadn't he suggested that? They would have gotten one answer wrong but two? He shook his head. But everyone stuck with Oakey, him being the "expert" or whatever. Well, at least they had gotten some points, anyway. Aw! They couldn't stick around. What a shame. "Thanks for the fun lesson, Professor,'' Jory said with a smile to the man. |
To be honest, it really wasn't that upsetting that they'd gotten some things mixed up. The group had tried hard and worked together pretty well considering the unicorn appearance and such. Ella smiled and shrugged it off, happy with her performance in the whole thing. Positivity, people, yeah? The blonde frowned slightly at the mention of Thestrals but only because it made her a bit sad to think her classmates could see them. Witnessing death wasn't something she liked to think about. It was curious, wasn't it? The animals being out of the forest like they were? Ella was inclined to agree with Lottie about the investigating but Botros seemed to have other ideas and so the blonde waved at her housemates, ready to head back to the classroom. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor." Grin! Byeeeee, unicorn! *waves* "Badgers, you guys ready to go?" |
Mika blinked a few times as the wrist bracelet was now off gone. And now she was blinking and beaming for another reason. They had not only completed the task ahead of them – but they’d done it together as a team. And heck – Professor Botros had noticed! And they’d gotten extra points. “Thanks for a great lesson Professor Botros” she smiled as she skipped off to the classroom. Seriously she was surprised that she hadn’t walked into someone else’s maze earlier. |
SPOILER!!: Magical Soul Sarah was a bit disapointed, it was hard to be patient when she really wnated to know somethings, yet she thought it was good to stretch her patience muscles. She listened as the professor gave the answers an dwas slightly disappointed that Gryffindor did not get any extra points. Yet she comforted herself saying that it was not meant to be. She then followed her student leaders back to the classroom |
With her bracelet off and the massive illusion gone now, Eliza listened to the point tally for the activity. But not before noticing the beautiful, albeit scared looking, unicorn standing next to Professor Botros. Does he know that unicorn? she wondered. Maybe it has a name? But it looked a bit out of its element so she surmised that the magical horse did not usually come out to socialize. Why would it have left the forest? She didn't understand why such a nice creature would live in that dark scary forest anyway though. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to live in fields and gardens? Or nice happy forests with babbling brooks and pretty, soft moss? She felt a little bad for the Hufflepuffs having gotten some of their guesses wrong, but at least everyone probably had fun. And they got extra points for good teamwork? That's great! She had noticed how nice and friendly all of her Claws were, so it made sense. But had the other houses not been the same way? Maybe that Ravenclaw social we had really helped out. "Thank you for the lesson, Professor, it was a lot of fun!" she said with a smile. "And I hope the unicorn will be okay," she added, giving it a sympathetic look. She didn't like being alone and scared either, so she hoped it would settle down soon. |
Hmm.. Eihwaz.. Wade recalled saying that, and others agreeing.. Though perhaps how the others pronounced it was what made it count against them? Whatever. Wade merely shrugged it off, before taking the yellow bracelet off. The maze then disappeared before him, and it was the end of the lesson now. "This was a cool lesson, Professor, thanks." Wade smiled at him, and gave the pretty Unicorn a quick wave before he went off with the others. |
OOC: Sorry, guys! I haven't had Internet access for a bit but should have it back early next week. [:/] We'll just pretend this was right after Botros dismissed the students. Text Cut: Unicorn! Immediately after receiving the patronus from Botros, Peyton had dropped everything she was doing and hurried over. Botros must have dismissed the students by this point, because everyone was either already gone or heading off. ...but Botros was around, seemingly trying to keep his distance from the frightened unicorn. "They take better to a woman's touch," she whispered to Botros. "It's in their nature." She didn't immediately approach the creature but rather walked in a slow circle around it, stopping ever so often, so the creature wouldn't think it was being cornered. Finally, she stayed in one place and extended her hand. |

He shuffled uneasily, but soon the students left and a different person, a female human, approached. The unicorn watched her carefully and sniffed her hand. She smelled better than the old man and the students. The unicorn nudged his nose into her hand. He liked her. Maybe he could just stay with her for a while. |
"I'm glad you came, professor. He was found wandering about, scared. The kids said he kept looking back at where he came from." Botros watched the woman approach the creature and so he leaned on his cane and kept his spot. See, why he had summoned the professor and not the groundskeeper? Women and unicorns, he never figured out what was the connection between them. "There were some Thestrals nearby too. Some kids saw them." What exactly was going on, Botros did not know. He was feeling really tired after all the walking and the teaching. |
