"Definitely. The prettiest gravity-resistant tree in all the la- are you snipping?" No, no, ALICE did the snipping. Alice. Aliceeee. It was her job, snipping was. Mo tried to steal that occupation from her, too, in the Tower Patch, no wonder those two got along so well and enjoyed eating each others' faces. "Flipnsnipwitit."

Definitely was. "This is so much effort. I'm done. You wanna do the rest? Awesome."

That was most definitely a smirk on Cat's face, yep. Alice didn't want her to be snipping? Heh. Too bad cause she was. SNIP. SNIP. She eyed the Gryffindor and shrugged, "Sure. Why not. You just stand there and look pretty, Alice Palace. I've got this." Obviously. Besides, there wasn't even that much left. "Diffindo!"

That was for you, Miss Fischer.

Cat gave the tree a once over before catching one more bit that needed to be taken care of. "Flipnsnipwitit." Her new favorite word, yo. "There." She made grand gestures at the pretty tree. "Winner."

She didn't waddle around for long, and soon found herself perched on her chair again... only this time, she didn't plan on getting up. She pleaded for the students not to get her up. The baby was kicking, and moving in general. Seren watched as her belly shifted from a fairly central position to her left. Well... this was rather unsymmetrical of her. Awkward. Resting a hand on the side, she hoped the baby would move back... it hurt!

A few moments later, once the belly settled down, and once the students seemed to have completed the step, Seren continued with the lesson.
"Fantastic work, with any luck the saplings will survive." Though, some were bound to be lost... such a shame, such a waste...
"The next step, is to first water our Gravity-Resistant Saplings.. now instead of dousing the roots in water, we need to ensure we're not wasteful while still providing the desired coverage."
Raising her wand arm, Seren directed her wand tip in the direction of a nearby flowerbed of herbs. "Aguamentispritz," she chanted, directing the fine water spray at the green shoots. The spray came out in quick short bursts, and fanned out somewhat like a sprinkler contraption.

"If you've not used the variation, don't be afraid to try... practice makes perfect. Remember, we're not submerging the roots in water, just ensuring it's evenly coated."

Annabeth was happy the teacher had told that they were saving the trees. It relieved her: she was thinking that she could have cut some healthy roots, but neither Nessie nor the teacher had said it.
She looked at the tree with proud. And she was so excited: then they would use a new spell? A variation from Aguamenti. How's the word? Aguamentiz? Aguamentrix?
She thought that it would be better if she could wait for the others casting the spell, so she would listen to it more attentively.

A new spell? BEAM! Ella watched carefully as Professor Bentley demonstrated, her green eyes shining. That was quite useful, actually. It was nice to know you wouldn't be wasting too much water, made the blonde feel good about this whole watering plants business. Her Gran would approve too, by the way. Not that anyone cared. Well, except for Gran. She thought all her opinions were important.

Deciding to practice the incantation first, the blonde cleared her throat and began, "Aguamentispritz...Aguamentispritz...Aguamentispri tz.... Aguamentispritz...Aguamentispritz....Aguamentispritz!"

She liked the word spritz. It had a certain something.

Now to try it out, yeah?

Pointing her wand towards the roots, the blonde focused and said, "Aguamentispritz."

Yeah, her spray wasn't nearly as good as the one Bentley had produced but at least there was water coming from her wand. It was fanning out too. That...was sort of a plus.

It wasn't long before Tobias have found a much better place on the root where it would cut off all of the damaged and diseased part. It was, however, a little higher up than where he'd just tried, and the spell would need to be stronger, obviously. But it needed to be done.

Holding the end of the root he was severing, and still up on his tip-toes, Tobias looked straight at where his wand was pointing and imagined the spell working and the root coming off. That part was easy enough because he was super good at imagining things.

Speaking firmly, Tobias cast the spell, trying not to be too enthusiastic or over confident 'cause that could go wrong too. "Diffindo."

And the severed root came off neatly.

Tobias was kind of stunned. It was WORKING. He was LEARNING.

Right, one more, because he'd found another root that needed to come off, and then Tobias would move on to the water bit.

Ella ended the spell and decided to try again, wanting to get it correct. She has happy that she was able to make water come out the first time but something about the amount of water didn't quite feel right. Perhaps the second time would be better. It was worth a shot, anyway.

"Alright, tree, water coming your way."

The sixteen year old smiled a little before pointing her wand and concentrating on what she wanted to happen. She could do this.

"Aguamentispritz."

Blink.Blink.BEAM!

This time the water came out the way Bentley's had, in quick short bursts. Ella smiled as she watched, making sure she was getting the entire area she had been working on. "There you go, drink up." Especially if that'd help the tree get better.

Er....um....perhaps it was just her but the Professor didn't look so good. Her brows crinkled and she stared over at her. Was she alright? Lex didn't mind running to get the Healer--if the woman was even up in the Hospital Wing. It was hard to know when she was and wasn't in. "Professor...are you alright?"

Or you know, maybe it was nothing...? The Professor was talking again so after a minute of giving her worried looks she considered giving that new spell a try. This should be interesting. Aguamentispritz. Uh-huh...she watched carefully but not to assess the difficulty. She'd learned a long time ago that others having no problem with a spell was no indication of how easy it was. Sometimes, she thought her wand was defective but then she tried a hex and it proved it's worth.

"Aguamentispritz!"

A flicker of water, that's all she got.

No.

"We were going great just now, don't start being difficult." Been a while since she had to issue a verbal warning. Ahem. "Aguamentispritz!"

Well... that looked different.

Anya definitely needed to practice that one. Aguamentispritz. Aguamentispritz. "Aguamentispritz." She repeated it in her head until she thought she had the hang out saying it.

Well... ... except for the one she accidentally said out loud.

She blinked a few times before smiling innocently at her boyfriend. "... you feel evenly coated?" she asked trying her best not to giggle.

Yep, just one more root that had to go and that would probably be all it needed. Tobias didn't want to take too much off, after all, because that might be unnecessary. No... he was perfectly sure there was just one more that needed to go.

It was at an awkward angle though and Tobias tilted his head and squeezed one eye shut... all the better to aim. He waited until his wand arm was steady and the wand was perfectly lined up before... "Diffindo."

And... err... well, it kind of worked. The damaged root was partially severed, hanging on to the remaining plant by a couple of millimetres of root. Not wanting to cast the spell again and risk cutting too much, Tobias reached up and gave it a gentle tug. After a few moments resistance, the root came off completely.

WHEW. Tobias lowered himself down from his tip-toes and back onto flat feet to try and give his poor toes a break. He took that time to think over the new spell they were using and start visualising what it was meant to do. When he was ready again, he might be able to try the spell first time.

It seemed to have worked a bit better this time. The roots now had some water on them. She gave an approving nod to her wand. Didn't take nearly as long to get it...probably because it was only a variation and not a whole new spell. Eh. More details to not pay attention to.

"Aguamentispritz!"

Eeep! And it worked again! Lex was BEAMing. There might have been some bouncing too. She took in the roots. They looked pretty well sprayed!! Just a bit more and this plant would turn into the picture of perfect health! "Aguamentispritz!"

And now she was feeling a bit guilty. Lex had hacked away at that other tree (that she'd still never seen before in her life in case anyone was wondering). It would probably need water too even though she abandoned it to care for another sappling.

She slipped back over to it and offered it an apologetic grin. "On the bright side, you'll float better with less weight." Unless, of course, that was never an issue in the first place in which case, oops. "Anyway, I've got something to help you feel better and grow those back. Aguamentispritz!" She kept at it until the roots were evenly sprayed. "There!"

"Oh, water!" Asher said when the professor told them they were to water the trees. He was ready to not be taking things away from the trees, but giving to them. "Aguamentispritz!" he commanded towards the roots.

He loved seeing the fine spray of water flow and gently land on the delicate roots. "Aguamentispritz!" he continued around the area of the tree he had been working on.

Oh. Bentley was talking again.

Jake looked up at his Head of House, watching as she demonstrated the new spell. Aguamentispritz. Seemed easy enou-

... That was water. On his face.

Jake blinked, flicking his tongue on his lips to get the water off them. He could feel it running down his neck and into his shirt, making things slightly uncomfortable. A slightly amused expression on his face, he wiped his cheek with the back of his hand before looking at the culprit. Who was smiling.

"Watch where you're aiming that thing," he told Anya, nodding to her wand. He may be tall, but he was by no means a gravity-resistant tree. However. "...Yes." He did feel pretty evenly coated. At least from his nose to his chest. And that was enough.

Now. Onto business. He repeated the incantation a few times in his head to make sure he had it right before aiming his wand at a second of tree roots. "Aguamentispritz!" He commanded, watching as he water coated the roots. He smiled to himself, pleased that he could perform the spell.

Asher was really starting to have fun with this task. "Aguamentispritz!" he commanded. "Aguamentispritz! Aguamentispritz!" Over and over again, he sent little burst of water over the roots. Making sure to not over water, but wanting them to be well soaked.

He paused a moment to check out the roots and see if he had missed any spots. When he was satisfied with the job he had done, Asher decided to check and see if anyone around him needed help.

Right, so they were going to water stuff now. Cool, yeah, see he could do that. Easy enough, but the problem was, of course, that they had to use magic. Yeah, WHY couldn't they just, yeah, water it proper? No? Ugh, fine.

Smirking a little at his Professor, he started to chant the spell over and over again. Weird spell it was after all.

But he said it anyway, "Aguamentispritz! Aguamentispritz, aguamentispritz, aguamentispritz, aguamentispritz, aguamentispritz." Sounded German, yeah? Well, close enough as it was.

Now time to actually DO the spell.

Phew. They were done trimming now. And Professor Bentley was speaking up again. Watering time, she said! Woot. Beezus worked well with the elements. In more recent personal accomplishes actually, she learned how to conjured waterproof fires. She was thinking of learning how to manipulate water particles altogether with only her wand's aid now.

...which she thought would come really handy with her next task.

Aguamentispritz. Spike taught her that variation....therefore, she didn't have issues on using it.

That....didn't go the same for Anya, it seems. She giggled as she eyed the couple and gave Anya an approving wink. That was a fun sight. Anya should do it again......or maybe she, herself can do it.....of course not with Jake, but with Dylan?

She aimed some green roots and chanted, "Aguamentispritz!" They had to make sure it was evenly coated, eh? So she did that before shiftily eyeing Dylan. Aheeem. He wouldn't mind if she accidentally spray him with water, right? Riiiiiiiiiiiight?

Sarah stopped as the professor began talking, as looked at her(more like the belly- had it jut moved, like faintly?). Then the professor answered Sarah's unspoken question- just how did one water it? Sarah knew that roots were not only needed for anchoring, yet also to absorb water.

So they were going to spritz it? Sarah's mom and grandma said that word a lot, yet they said it "shpritz". The words must be similar. However, the different pronunciation would require Sarah to practice the incatations.

"Aguamenti that part she knew, so she added, "shpritz". Oh no, she said it wrong. "Aguamenti ------------- spritz" she repeated. That was better. Now she had to put them together."Aguamenti ---- spritz" No they still were seperate.

After some time, Sarah had it, she said "Aguamentispritz, Aguamentispritz, Aguamentispritz"

Wondering if he should start cleaning things up, Asher raised his hand "Excuse me, Professor. Should we start cleaning up the dirt and dead roots off the floor?? He saw that most of the floor under the trees was covered with large piles of dirt and the dead or dying roots. He didn't want the room left a mess with the professor in her condition. That wouldn't be very kind of them at all.

As he waited for the professor, Asher saw a few more roots that looked parched, "Aguamentispritz, Aguamentispritz, Aguamentispritz"Smiling a giant smile, he continued to watch in wonder as the water came out and gently blanketed the roots in thirst quenching wetness.

No, Dylan did not know that variation of Aguamenti...but how bloody useful. He'd always just used Aguamenti...and then had to cap his wand tip so it'd appear mist-like. Merlin...they would be so much easier...

Also...

He looked up at Anya and Jake, smirking at the girl's antics. "You look good like that, mate." He was being supportive and stuff. There. This was what happened when you were good-looking, though...like they were. Chicks wanted to see you wet.

Lifting his wand, he went about coating parts of the roots...He didn't want to redo what the others were doing...or drowned them...or whatever. "Aguamentispritz," the Slytherin said casually, moving the mist along the desired path...He also may have accidentally sprayed Anya's hair. It was hard to tell because it DID look like wet paint...Dylan had told her as much before...

Oops.

...and he'd definitely ACCIDENTALLY sprayed Bee's bum. Total accident there...

Ahem.

Laura was really getting frustrated about the whole thing, she was struggling to get it all done it was because she continued to cleaned the roots of her tree and hope she was doing things right, if she wasn't well it wasn't her fault and she didn't want to disturb the Professor so she just continued to do her work as fast as she could and hoped that the tree would be okay with all the work, she was doing for it.

So now she needed to apply it all. Sarah took out her wand, " Aguamentispritz" she said as the plant got a bit of a spray. This spell would be useful on a hot day, to cool down. " Aguamentispritz" she casted again. When watering in this way, it would be hard to over water the plants.

" Aguamentispritz" she said again, before moving to get another side of the tree. " Aguamentispritz". The droplets were going to be spread out this way, Sarah wondered how the tree could get enough water using those methods.

" Aguamentispritz" she casted again. She tried to cover as much area as possible. For fun she sprayed her face too. it tickled, yet felt lovely. Aguamentispritz was a cool spell

Cat raised her eyebrows in Alice's direction at the next funny sounding spell they were supposed to use. "Who makes up the names of these, anyway?" She wondered as she glanced at the tree, "I want that job."

She was sooo good at making up funny words, really, she was.

Speaking of funny words, how was it pronounced again? Aguamentispritz? SPRITZ? Aguamentispritz. Okay good, not the time for giggling. Right. She aimed her wand at the roots, "Aguamentispritz." WOO. You go water, lookit you, so nice and refreshing for the sad roots.

A new spell! Marigold slowly chanted the spell in her head. Aguamentispritz, aguamentispritz.

Marigold grasped her wand and waved it.

"Aguamentispritz!" she said confidently. Next would be to actually point it at the tree...

"If I could invent a spell, I'd let you make up the name. And it'd be an incantation to turn peoples' heads into rutabagas." Because rutabagas were cool, and people were annoying, and becoming rutabagas could seriously improve their appearances. Alice nodded solemnly at Cat before.. spritzing? New spell? She'd thought they could control how much water they sprayed just by using an Aguamenti and concentrating, but apparently not.

What was it again? Her mind was drawing a blank here. "Aguaspritz." Was that right? She was pointing her wand but nothing was coming out. "Aguaspritz! Aguaspritz Aguaspritz Aguaspr- hey Cat, what was the word again?"

"I like that spell." Cat nodded as she continued spraying water at the roots though her attention had shifted to spell names for rutabagas and it broke her concentration. "How about rutafacieouscadoo." Spritz. She wanted to add spritz in there somewhere.

"Err.." Now Alice was getting her all jumbled up with the spell. She eyed the other girl closely and tried to work out the word in her head again, "Aguamen-" Umm. ""Aguamentispritz!" Ah. If she had a quill near, she'd write it on her hand.
