| | The Great Hall Once you've made your entrance, you can choose which table to sit at from the wide central walk space running up to the staff dais. Last term, the floor was so shiny that you could see your own appearance in it; with the kind of foot traffic this hall has seen since it was last polished, though, the same is not exactly true anymore. |

| HoM Homework 1- Post 2 ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Jory had consulted his book, trying to decide where to stalk next for the History of Magic homework. In the end, he decided to head to the Great Hall. He knew lots of persons had died there during the Battle of Hogwarts so he was unsure of whose outline he would see. "Spiritum Revelio!'' Jory said making the counter clockwise circle in the air and then pointing his wand through it. As expected, he saw no green outline. No worries. Maybe after a few more tries? "Spiritum Revelio!'' Nada. "Spiritum Revelio!''
There! A green outline! Lying in a heap on the floor. But whose was it? The Puffer did not know but he made a note of it in his book for the essay he was to write.

Well that wasn't very specific. Look how many of them there were. Would they have to keep going 'til they find it?? Ah, no, Alice had a solution for that so she just smiled and nodded. This would work much better.
Lex nodded again at Alice's reminder about the spell. It wasn't something she'd forgotten but she had been wondering about the direction. It was good to be reminded of these things. She stood back and watched. OH, there!! "That one! We should make a note of it." She scribbled it on the other side of the parchment for reference. "Too bad Myrtle wasn't here, we could'a just asked her." But they were done now so it didn't matter. "Come, we've got more ground to cover." So they were leaving. "Did you write it down? Awesome." Alice led Lex into the Great Hall for their next stop, using another two of Oakey's knuts for the turnstile- wasn't like she was going her own money, clearly. It was no kitchen, but there was still food here, yeah? "Wait one sec." She ran through the walk space and quickly nicked a couple of rolls from a random house table (was that Hufflepuff's? Hm, okay) before coming back to where the third year was at the front of the hall.
It was her turn, yeah? "Here." Alice tossed her a roll and munched on her own contentedly, tucking her wand back into her robes. "You want to cast this time? And I'll write down where it is, and then we can leave and stuff."

And I'll write down where it is, and then we can leave and stuff." "Yeah I did." Just to answer her question. Along with her list of places to check she was writing where exactly they found them, just noting stuff in case Mr. Vinteren wanted them being specific. She kinda wondered why Alice made them back track when they were making their way up but there was no complaining after she was tossed a roll.
Yay! Food! "Sure," nom nom nom, "Um...let's see..." Her eyes scanned the list again. "We could either look for Lestrange or Voldemort..." Either one was fine.
She walked along the tables, trying to think of the best place to die but really, no one ever died in good places or they'd be on their way to the kitchen right now. She took another step then aimed her wand. "Spiritum Revelio!"....Nothing...that's fine. There would have been a terribly uncomfortable place to die anyway. "Spiritum Revelio!"
Oh! There we go! "This looks kinda feminine, doesn't it? I'd say it's Bellatrix so you can jot that down. If it's not it doesn't matter. Not like he's here to see it." History, meh.

| HoM / Post 5 Eagle Eye [⅓ Badger Trio] Felon & Kafka ♥ Gilderoy Lockhart <3 [TEAM 947!] FINALLY!
For this final part of the assignment, Lottie actually focused more on Bellatrix Lestrange than anyone else, regardless of how many wizards had died over the Battle. Just like the Courtyard. And she wouldn't be writing anything down at the moment, she'll write it all up when she's having ice cream at...the Slytherin table, most likely, since Bellatrix and all.
It was like a theme of sorts.
No more waiting. Wand out. "Spiritum Revelio!" yeah, yeah, counter-clockwise circle and point, we know, ...but nothing happened. So, she closed her eyes and breathed in and out, trying to clear her mind of ice cream, before attempting the spell again. And nothing happened.
It wasn't until the third try that she finally got a green outline in the Great Hall. Interesting. Hopefully that was the one she was looking for...
...for now....ICE CREAM! And time to write up the rest of the homework. |

Why did go all the way from the Astronomy tower to the great hall. Such a long walk. She probably should have stopped by a couple of other places…of DEAD people. Anyway, too late she had gotten there now. Would be stupid to just turn around and leave. More stupid than making this long journey knowing that'd go back to places she had passed. No one had to know about that though. She'll add in her report that she smartly and awesomely travelled from place to another saving time and effort. Everything sounds true when written down. Yup, she's tried.
So, Great Hall. She actually might have enjoyed a meal if it wasn't for the fact that the food kinda sucked, also that she was here trying to find where once Voldemort and one of his faithful sidekicks died. Or were killed. An important battle took place here and all. She knew her history. With her bag slinging over her shoulder she retrieved her wand practiced the spell's movement then " Spiritum Revelio," She uttered. Wait did she draw a circle or a square? Well, she'll wait to know.
Wait….The Slytherin's eyes wandered around searching for any green….OH THERE!
*GULP* Again.
Well, absolutely thrilling to know that here the evilest person were killed. But wait? Was there supposed to be two bodies? Umm… she was kinda satisfied with one so she'd leave it here.
Ok, bye and next destination.

"Yeah..I know," Elodie started quietly, her glance fleeting to the bottom of the stairs with a nod, "I can offer hugs if it gets too much though." Just sayin', she was pretty good at the whole hugging thing. This could call for a hug if it got too much, right? Dealing with the deaths of people and everything. If he was taking the stairs, she was going to take somewhere to the left of the main castle doors. As she turned on her feet though, he was talking again.
Els turned back to look at him and nodded. "Elodie...Robertser. But you, Marcus Orion Branxton, can call me whatever you wish." Did he always introduce himself using all of his names? She'd say it was peculiar, but she sometimes introduced herself as 'Elodie Rae' so it was nothing of a big deal. Official introductions over, she turned herself again and pointed her wand. "Spiritum Revelio." Nothing for a moment, but she supposed that no body was a good thing. Death and all. But then she caught it, just a little to the side of where she was looking - obviously she'd not been looking where she had pointed her wand specifically. An outline on the floor with an arm stretching in the direction of where the Great Hall lay. Trying to get to safety, she supposed. "Got...one," her response came quickly and she took no time in heading in that direction: to the Great Hall. "I want to try the Great Hall, Mo. We know people died there..it's just where in there. I wanna see. That okay?" If it wasn't, they could part ways. Her intention could have been food, but not really. Mo didn't blame Elodie at all for wanting to try the Great Hall. Since they were currently on a Battle of Hogwarts theme, and her find sort of indicated directionality... well. Mo trudged along behind Elodie, dropping money into the turnstiles as he walked without even really considering it anymore.
Great, now this assignment was costing him MONEY. They should get reimbursed. Or extra house points for spending pocket money. Something.
He paused at the doorway and eyed the room as a whole. Where was the most likely spot for someone to have died in this room? If a wounded person had been dragged through this door and put on one of the tables... but the whole room was filled with tables. Then again, there'd been an epic battle in the middle of the room between Death Eaters and the castle defenders. He walked between the lines of tables until he was about in the center of the room and pointed his wand.
" Spiritum Revelio." Nothing. The room was huge... what had he been expecting?

"Spiritum Revelio." Nothing. The room was huge... what had he been expecting? Grumbling to herself about pricey homework, Elodie surveyed the hall around them, not even knowing where to begin. There were so many places that their task could involve, especially as this room in specific was huge. There were tables, there were corners, there was by the door, and there was the other end of the hall where speeches were given and all sorts. The possibilities made her regret coming in here, but they were here now so might aswell go hunting.
If she was a dead person, where would she die?
Oh what a pathetic question, she told herself with a shake of her head as she headed around the edge of the Great Hall to the right. She was going to try the corner, because that was where she would probably end up dead, in all honesty. She'd probably get cornered by something and just die, or fall and hit her head there and bleed out, or something entirely horrible. Either way, thinking about her death was wrong. "Spiritum Revelio," accompanied by the wand movement, she found nothing in the corner. People were apparently not like Elodie in their moments of death.
She cast a look over at Mo to see that he too had uncovered nothing, and she continued around the edge, heading toward the dias at the front. Not toward the dias directly, but to the area between the dias and the house tables. From what she'd read, the wounded and the dead were gathered around this end of the Great Hall in the Battle of Hogwarts, probably to avoid the door for new retrievals or whatever. Pointing her wand once more in the general direction of there, she spoke a little more clearly than she had on her previous three attempts. "Spiritum Revelio." Success! Or, whatever it could be deemed. Els smiled as the visibility of a green human outline came to view just in front of the dias. .....No comment, poor soul.

| HoM Post #2 urine trouble | Pat's Strong Confident Other Half | Pees Like a Champion Unicorn Racehorse So since he had gone to the Courtyard first, the smart move to make would be to head over to the next closest death!place, right? Yeah...
And so that's why he was here. The Great Hall was on the list of places that people had died so he fully expected to find a green outline here. Though, he did hope it wouldn't take quite as long as it had back at the Courtyard; he didn't want to spend all day in here searching for the outlines. That would just take away time he could spend eating ice cream!
Glad that he had inserted a Galleon that one time when he came to drink tea in here, Alec turned the turnstile and headed into the Great Hall. Right. Maybe... he should go about this in the same way he had done back at the Courtyard. It was the only plan he had with him so far and it hadn't gone too badly. Just long, that was all. "Spiritum Revelio!" Courter clockwise and point! ... Nothing. Although, he kind of expected this seeing as this was a spell and he wasn't too great at those. He shuffled forwards a couple of steps and tried again, moving his wand in the familiar counter clockwise and pointing fashion. He continued moving forwards towards the dias, his wand pointing around to different directions as he went. ... Was it good to do this in a random order or...?
... Maybe not.
Except... was that... an outline? Confused, the boy cast the spell in that general direction again, only a little louder this time. The faint green outline he had seen before seemed to become more green, making Alec grin widely... only to stop grinning. Someone had DIED there and what if it was that all time evil dude? GULP.
... Yeah... he needed more ice cream for this homework assignment.

Elodie had been luckier than Mo had, or unluckier as the case may be, and she'd obviously stumbled across a green outline of her own. Mo nodded at her from his spot in the middle of the room, and then he moved to join her. If he was smart, he'd just do the spell in the same place and see the same result, but he'd sort of lost his enthusiasm for finding anyone in this room.
This was a happy, noisy center of the school. It shouldn't be a place anyone had ever died, not even someone choking on a chicken bone. Definitely not loads of students who were fighting to defend their school.
Ugh. Morose. He wanted ice cream. It made everything better.
"Let's try something more predictable. How about the girl's bathroom on the second floor? You can hold the door open, so I won't get in trouble for going inside." He nodded toward the door, inviting Elodie to accompany him.

Minerva had finished eating and had her usual ice cream. As she sat there eating it and deciding she was so having another bowl after this one. She thought about that horrible spell they were suppose to be doing. She took another bite of the yummy goodness and shrugged. Wasn't there someone who died right here where they ate. She looked at the table, what if someone died where she was eating. Picking up the bowl like the ghostly nothing would give her ice cream a bad taste she got up.
She set her ice cream back down on the table and pulled out her wand. Gosh she didn't like doing this spell, but it was expected of them. Doing the counter clockwise motion, Min put the wand in the circle, "Spiritum Revelio" She looked around good no creepy green under her ice cream that was a plus. Snapping her baby blue eyes around the room she noticed the green marks. She wondered who's they were. It was still so heart wrenching to see dead images near her.
Then she noticed another one, wow that was just.. two people were killed here. It just seemed odd. Moving back to her seat she pulled out her notes and scanned them. Once she found the list of dead and where she nodded, two had died in the great hall, no wonder two creepy green images were there.

Hungry hungry hungry hungry hungry. And she'd completely run out of her mother's supplies. So Derry had taken the last handful of coins in her trunk and managed to find ten knuts. Okay. Time for the rubbish, potentially-lethal Hogwarts food. Let's hope they were too poor to afford any sort of food with nuts in it.
After handing over her money to the turnstile - stuuuupid things - and pushing her way into the hall, she scuffed her feet as she started to walk towards the Slytherin table. She wasn't really paying much attention, so when her foot got caught in her robes she didn't really notice and she stumbled, dropping the transfiguration book she'd been carrying and falling to her knees. (Not on her face this time. This was progress.) It was her own fault for letting the hem of her robes down because they were starting to show off her ankles. She'd apparently let them out a little too much. Sigh.

No big deal. Derry was gathering her courage to stand up and face the room she'd just made a fool of herself in when she heard something and looked up. "Yes." She was on the ground. Well done. Point out the fact she'd just fallen over in front of everyone why don't you?
Except... she didn't seem to be pointing that out on purpose... Are you meant to be down there. Hmm... "...Yes. I am. I'm having a picnic." Derry pointed her wand at the closest table and summoned some of the food. See? Picnic.

So, Sky had decided to start from the bottom (or as close to the bottom as she could get while still having windows) of the castle and work her way back up. And which room had the largest windows on the ground floor? The Great Hall. Not to mention that she kind of missed the place, since she had taken to eating in the corridors or, when the weather allowed it, outside to avoid the turnstiles. But this time she paid the required coins and made her way to one of the rather large windows. Now, where was Polaris from here? She scanned the sky, looking for Ursa Major and Minor, knowing that would her to them. After a few minutes, she found them and a few minutes after that found what she was pretty sure was the star she was looking for. Yay! Now for the sextant.......
