OH! If it wasn't her good friend Moseph. This was brilliant.

"HEY!" Anya said overexcitedly. Aww. And he was hugging a tree too. Cute Ravenclaw was cute. D'aww. Hugs.

She happily skipped over to him and half hugged him and half hugged the tree. "You think we can hug everything in the forest?" she asked him. The cute little birdie would know that sort of thing being in the smart person house.

Not that it mattered. Anya was determined to single-handedly cheer up the Forest. Speaking of which... Anya had a brilliant idea. "What are the chances we can figure out how to conjure balloons?" Why was it that none of her lessons taught her the important things in life?

He had only wanted something to eat. It was an innocent journey out to find a late dinner, he had been roaming around to find something yummy. But that was when he felt the chill all around him. The forest was always cold this time of the year, but this winter sure was taking a long time to pass. It was much colder than normal, too.

The giant, hairy, ugly spider traveled quicker through the trees to hurry and get out of the spine crawling cold, when he heard voices ahead. Slowing his pace, he saw several children out... hugging trees? He creeped forward, one of his eight hairy legs snapping a twig.

Mmmm. Tempting. But so cold... Shiver.

So this guy, Tag his name was and people said HE had a strange name! thought that his rainbows were good? MEEEEP could he hug him?! Daichi INSTANTLY liked him. Actually, he liked him the moment he saw him wanting to make the forest happy.

"And not only are people saying bad things about this forest but the creatures inside of it as well!" he nodded his head. "No wonder this forest is so dark, its just sad!" He gave a random tree a random hug and told it how BEAUTIFUL it was.

He then stretched his arm out to give back the bowl of ice cream to Tag so that he could make some more smiley faces if he wanted. Just then, a cold, bitter breeze seemed to go right through him. The Slytherin shivered as he looked around. It was like nothing he had ever felt before, no wait. He had, at the astronomy homework section. Yes, he had felt a very cold breeze there as well. It ...kind of felt the same.


"Its so cold!" he said just in time when two other students came along. A ravenclaw and another gryffindor. Daichi was SAD and DISSAPOINTED that he hadn't seen a student from his own house. Did none of the Slytherins CARED about this poor forest?!

"Heeey~!" he waved his hands enthusiastically at the two. "You two also think that this forest is really sad and needs some love and hu---" SNAP! ---"gs?!". Daichi turned his head in the direction where he had heard a twig snap. He was sure it had been a twig. poor twig which also reminded him.

TWIGS NEEDED SOME HUGS TOO!

And the Prefect stooped down to grab a hand ful of dirt, twigs and whatnot and hugged it close to his chest.

Oh, where, oh, where had her little unicorn gone? Oh, where, oh, where could she be?

No, seriously--where was she?

This was the little unicorn Peyton had brought from the Center she'd worked at before coming to Hogwarts. She was still really a baby and had wandered off. How could she have let this happen? Peyton was always so good at keeping her animals close and away from harm.

Harm? Where did that thought come from? Maybe she was just being paranoid...

She paused when a sudden chill came over her. Where had that come from? She hesitated for a few seconds longer then kept walking again.

Tag took back the bowl of ice cream he had let Daichi borrow and began to make happy faces, and tongue sticking out funny faces onto the trees and the floor. Though, his ice cream was running out fast. They would never cover the entire forest with just this little bowl. He and Daichi needed another plan. This just wasn't going to make the forest happy. Only partially. [B]We need a new plan. To make the forest happy.

As Daichi continued to speak about the forest being lonely and said Tag wondered why the prefect was shivering. It wasn't until a few seconds later that this chilling feeling spread over Tag's bare skin, and he could see little puffs of his air as he breathed out.

At least they weren't alone. Mo was here. He was a smart guy. So maybe he had some ideas on how to make the forest a more happy place. Oh, and then there was Anya. "M-M-M-Mo, do you have any-any-any ideas to make the for-for-forest happy?" Tag asked as he rubbed his shoulders as he attempted to keep heat.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!"The blonde one asked as his head whipped all around him. "Did-did you-yo-you guys hear that CRACK?!"

Good things happened when people went into the Forest, obviously. Like now, where Mo had been hugging a tree and was now being hugged by an Anya. He turned slightly and hugged her back, smushing her and the tree up into a great big happy tangle of arms and bark and branches. Trees were almost sort of hugging him back.

Or scratching his face, but he didn't mind.

"Balloons? I know how to conjure birds. And paint, but I dont think we should paint the trees. And water, but it's too cold to get the trees wet." It was actually really cold. Could trees keep you warm?

Tag was there and talking to him, and Mo turned his attention from cuddly-and-warm Anya to the Gryffindor boy. "Sing to it. Let's sing to the forest. My mum always said that singing to plants makes them happy." He patted Anya on the top of his head as he tried to think of a song.

"You are my sunshine... my only sunshine..." It was a warm song. And it drowned out the sound of twigs, since apparently Tag was scared of them.

Raven had been most uncomfortable throughout the day, and she had no clue why. She had been so happy at Hogwarts, eating ice cream and just messing around Hogwarts. Why now did she feel this urgent feeling to do something?

Now she knew that the only way to feel content again was to go the Forest. She felt a pull as if she were a magnet to it, but at the same time she knew she wasn't allowed to. The others just wouldn't understand.

And so she had crept out of the castle dressed in black robes and a black hood to go perfectly with her black hair. She walked with a hunch and would occasionally glance behind her shoulder to make sure no one was following. Finally she was here! And so were several other students. She didn't say anything but she approached them curiously and tilted her head to the side. She shivered as a cold wind blew past her.

Anya casually scooted closer to Moseph. Why? Because it was cold. And it was totally legal to hug trees and boys to keep warm. Jake would totally understand her not wanting to freeze.

Her teeth chattered slightly. Birds? That wouldn't help. Now would paint. "What about..." she paused while her teeth chattered more. "... blankets?" Did he know how to conjure those? Probably not. She didn't. She did know various types of flames... but... that would not be helpful to a forest that needed loves.

OH! And there was little Taggy and the green badge guy. What was he called again? Something that sound like a duck or something.

Anyway. Singing. That was a good idea. Anya chatter!sung along with Mo. Sunshine. That sounded lovely right now.

She tilted her head to the side. "Wha--- whatca--ca--crack...?" All she heard was singing and teeth.

Ohhh. That was a smart idea. Tag never thought about singing to the forest. An, now that he thought about it, Tag nor however much ice cream was stored in the castle, could cover the entire forest. But singing, his voice could echo through all the trees and it would all be happy. He listened to Mo as he began to sing a very happy song.

"Excellent idea!" Tag said nodding at Mo. An, after catching his song for a few more moments Tag joined in on the fun. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy my cloud are gray. I love you to eternity, my little forest of sunshine ray! You make us all so happy!" He said in a very soothing, gentle voice, but keep his voice a bit louder. Hopefully all the other trees could hear him.

"I dunno. Cracks aren't very scary, but in here they kind of can be." Tag absently answered Anya. Oops. Did he just say the wrong thing? Did the forest hear him? Hopefully not. "I love you very much, my beautiful forest. Very very much, you are so pretty. I appreciate your existence." He replied back quickly.

Still no elm, just as Nerida was about to give up she spotted one! Yes finally, she quickly walked over sending a wave to the other students that Nerida actually knew. Just as she reached the tree a sudden chill was sent through the forest. And lucky her she had no jacket and she had eaten some ice cream before coming on her scavenger hunt...

Oh well, the Ravenclaw would just have to deal with the cold. "Hello Mr.Elm! I'm Nerida and your my tree now!" Yeap that was comforting right?

Hearing the crack along with the other students she turned and peered into the forest letting her blonde hair fall onto her face, nothing... "I'm sure it was nothing." she said to the others and to herself.

Hopefully no more creepy noises, now to get back to "her" tree.

"oooooh! your that Knockturn Alley girl!" Daichi flailed his arms up and down when he spotted the young Ravenclaw who he had tried to chase out of that dark alley.."GUYS! oh and girls" he said after a quick correction before continueing. "You know which part we should make happy next? KNOCKTURN ALLEY! So when we're all free from school we can make that Alley BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY!"

Good plan right?!

Eh? they were going to sing now? Daichi listened to them sing for a moment and while they sang he stooped down to grab a hand full of twigs again to hug them. "You're beautiful, twigs! never let anyone say different~" And if someone did say anything negative they would get the Daichi!Glare...

....."I want ice cream...."

Nerida turned to Daichi, "What if the Knockturn Alley people don't want it to beautiful and happy?" She gave a smile yeah good plan, if they didn't attack any of them. She turned back to her special tree and the other surrounding trees. She had heard someone say blanket early, that was a good idea!! How to conjure a blanket though??

Nope she had no clue."Erm, does anyone know how to conjure a blanket?" If not for the tree for her cause she was cold.

"Ice Cream, now? It does sound good..."

Well, yes, Lotus Acacia Wisteria was back to the forest! She was back! Didn't she say she'll be back?

Only this time, she was here to show how much she appreciated this forest that made everyone's life brighter by the second. Most especially the dangerous creatures that inhabit it, but were equally misunderstood. AND UNICORNS.

The 14 year old Hogwartian adjusted her scarf (which was bright pink), and carried her pygmy puff on her shoulder (which was also bright pink), and...SPEAKING OF UNICORNS! "You love the forest as well, TAG?!" BEAM! Here she was merely thinking he had reasons for loving the forest, like...unicorns.

Also, "Hey, Anya! Hey, Mo! Hey, Slytherin Prefect I do not know." Next she took a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth, because how did one wandered to the forest without ice cream?????!!! EXACTLY!

"Hi beloved forest!" BEAM at trees!

Not realizing she'd frozen right in her tracks, Peyton blinked then looked forward. She was looking for her unicorn. Right. She needed to move forward then.

She just couldn't shake that feeling that something strange was going on...

She shrugged it off but felt her holster just to ensure her wand was still there. It was, just as she'd knew it'd be. Now, where was that unicorn of hers?

Anya shrugged off the outburst about noises. Everything was good. The Forest would soon be happy too!

ICE CREAM!? Did someone mention ice cream? "I want some too!" You could never have too much ice cream. Even though she literally just had some, she wanted more. More!

She slowly detached herself from the Mo!hug tree!hug thing she was involved in and went and attached herself to another tree. HUGS! for ALL the trees!

Oh! And here was another person. "Hi girl who is not named after a bug." She'd made that mistake a few times. Awkward. Her eyes then widened. She had ice cream. "Youuuuuu wanna share that with me?" she asked in a sing song voice. Come on. Be nice.

"Hi Daichi!" Raven beamed at the boy who had kicked her out of Knockturn Alley and ran over and hugged him. She didn't know why, she just felt like doing it. Then she separated herself from him and replied enthusiastically "That would be a GREAT idea! Knockturn Alley is full of grumpy old wizards who could do with some ice cream."

She turned and watched the other peeps, especially the new arrival, before starting to hum from a sitting down position on a rock nearby. She shivered again because of the cold, but oddly it didn't disturb her. Instead, it reminded her of the cold ice cream that she had so fallen in love with with her comrades here. "I want ice cream also!"

It WAS legit.

"Hi tree. Alder tree." It knew what kind of tree it was, right? .. but it was a tree, it didn't know anything. It was a tree. "My name's Alice and I gotta cut a chunk outta your body." Alice paused noticeably, and then began walking around the tree three times clockwise while she spoke. That.. was not the most eloquent of sentences, probably. "I mean, like, it's for this class, my favorite one, Ancient Runes, and I need you to make a wand. Don't you want to be made into a wand? Instead of sitting here and wasting away in a moldy old forest with a bunch of other boring trees?"

This was ridiculous. She was talking to a tree.

Could she cut into it now or what?

Right well...Yew wasn't answering back and Ella was just going to assume that her taking his-was it a he?-his wood and using it for her wand. She did have this good feeling inside her stomach, y'know? Like...a calm sort of feeling. She supposed that meant that the tree was okay with her using the wood and hey, she'd even spotted a nice branch for such a task. See? It was like...the Yew was being helpful or something. BEAM! Nice tree was nice.

The blonde knew that before she carved into Yew, though, she'd need to make some kind of offering. Erm...what were you meant to offer again? She didn't have any bread or mead on her at the moment and that was the suggested offering so erm...yeah.

Well she did have gummy worms on her so that was going to have to do.

Bending down, the blonde began digging a small hole in the dirt at the base of the tree. When she deemed it deep enough, she sprinkled a few gummy worms into the hole and covered it with dirt again. There, offering received. BEAM!

So many people. So many people loved and love ice cream. So many people wanting to make the forest happy. Tag beamed at all of them. Clearly they all had the same goal. Make the forest happy. Some people had brought ice cream and others were doing their best to think up of other ideas . How about some of us sing? If its more collective the forest will enjoy it. Those who are good with conjuring stuff, well, like Anya said lets get balloons and tie them around the trees. It'd be like a party for the balloons. Also blankets as well to make the floor nice and cozy. Tag started off. Good ideas right?

He then spotted Lottie and said to her Hi flower girl! I'm here to make the forest happy, but I do wish to see a unicorn! Of course.

Guys! Guys! What if the trees and bushes want water!? They need water to thrive and grow and be green! We should water the plants, give them a shower! And with that idea Tag got out his wand and used aguamenti, a light jet of water spewing out the end of the wand and dripping onto the plants. Any other ideas? He asked to everyone in general.

There was no wind... but the chill was getting worse. It was as if the forest was sucking all the happiness out of the children who were present. This was a horrible feeling. It was exuding loneliness and doom...

Uuuh.

We don't share ice cream, Anya. Ice cream is not for sharing unless there were two bowls and two spoons. Or...as many bowls and spoons as people. So..., "Sure!" because Lottie was super happy to be here in the presence of the pretty forest, with the yummy ice cream, and her precious pygmy puff...

...UNICORNS!

Flower girl. Nice. "No unicorns around this area...I think...," she started to say, pondering on her answer as she took another spoonful of ice cream, "...last time I saw them they were...well...in the Ancient Runes activity...and deep in the forest...," WEIRD, though, how they were in the Ancient Runes class.

Oh, hey, Anya, the bowl of ice cream was extended towards you. We're sharing, apparently.

"I hear nothing, that's interesting." And a first. Excellent hearing, remember? Which made her worry. A lot. And so...the eating of ice cream begun again. Eyes to you, lonely forest.

Anya took a bite of bug girl's ice cream as it was offered to her. MMMM! Ice cream. And she was about to comment back to Tag when she felt another chill. She shivered and began slowly sinking on the spot. One second she was hugging the tree and the next she was curled up in a ball at the bottom of it.

Her teeth started chattering more.

She wrapped her arms around herself slowly as if trying to get back all the hugs she'd given out. Loving the forest was... exhausting... or something. Anya felt oddly not in the same mood she'd been just a few minutes ago.

It was COLD. The singing and hugging and foot stomping wasn't enough to keep the chill from creeping all the way into Mo's bones, and he was starting to ache from it. His whole body hurt, and his head was sore from the deep cold, and y'know... his heart sort of hurt too.

Like... like trees. They were so pretty and needed so much love, but they all had to stand branch-length apart. By themselves. They were always by themselves, even when it was cold and their leaves fell off and they had no friends and there was no ice cream. It was so completely sad. Trees were so lovely and so SAD.

He let go of his tree and tipped sideways until he had crumpled in a snow bank. So. Sad. Trees.

Water water water! Tag bopped his head side to side as he began to move around the trees and bushes. See how much he was helping out the forest. He was such a good child and forest lover. And as he worked on his mission the coldness that had been sweeping over them stopped. There was no wind at all, it just happened suddenly. Just more cold. Teeth chattering, arms and palms rubbing against each other in a pointless attempt to keep away the cold, cold.

Doing the wand movement to stop the charm Tag looked around himself. He saw that Anya was slowly sitting on the floor, but with very little excitement . Mo followed Anya along as well. Suddenly he began to frown for no reason. The boy had been putting so much into making the forest happy but all it did was fight back with him. What was the point anymore?!

Fine. Be like that. Tag said in a low voice to the forest as he kicked the dirt.

Well, she LOVED the cold weather. However, she tightened her scarf a bit more, because it was getting colder...though, it could be the ice cream.

But...this was all so sad. She had to stop eating the ice cream from getting cold. Lottie could feel the tears threatening to come, because she didn't want to give up her bowl of ice cream for warmth. Anya could have it for all she cared. SO SAD, you guys. She even forgot about the unicorns or Ancient Runes...

..hey, hold on.

Unicorns. THIS was all Tag's fault, couldn't anyone see? And she heard that, Tag. "The forest clearly doesn't want your love, Tag. Sad, I know. And it's too cold." It was ALL his fault, because the forest didn't want Tag's love and it was saddened by HIM not listening.

People needed to listen, she disliked it when they didn't listen, and she was listening to...ZERO sounds right now. Why did she feel like crying? She let the ice cream go and wrapped her arms around herself and her pygmy puff.

No more ice cream.
