When Toad was safely near his owner Mika sat up fully, and squirmed around to face the pond herself. "Yeah we've kind of not talked since...well, the train? Well other than Astronomy class that is" she laughed though Astronomy class had been really fun for the most part. "So, do you want to talk then?" She asked as she glanced down at her knees that she had suddenly begun to hug against her. She hadn't even realized when she had done it. "So...its kind of a weird term so far - what with having to use plastic utensils all term..." she was just saying something to say something. |
Text Cut: Forrest Kahlan bit her lip for a minute as she thought about her own family and how she had missed them quite a lot - grateful that she had a cat that loved to cuddle to keep her company while she was away from them... and conveniently also a gift from her brother. Then when he spoke her eyebrows furrowed for a moment - so tv actually was short for something? "Television? Sounds weird..." she commented, after trying out the word for herself. Not that she was judging, some of the words that she'd heard in the magical world sounded pretty weird... even weirder than television now that she was thinking about it! Hearing him now comment that he was her friend, a grin spread over the girls face leaving her basically beaming. Well, that definitely meant considering him a friend wasn't a one sided thing! "Yeah... it is pretty cool when you think about it... and now you have yourself a friend who grew up in this occasionally strange world" she commented, winking at him as she joked about the world that she'd grown up in. Though it was her just being honest. Video games? While she'd heard of them she didn't exactly know what it meant but that didn't bug her as much as hearing the word football. The blonde had often heard Amy and her brother talking about football, and the word matches made it sounds like some sort of sport, so a small blush forming on her face Giggling slightly at how "Close enough" she joked, he'd probably learn more about it when actual games between houses started. |
Transfiguration homework post 2 Okay, Christina almost made the gargoyle jump to the pond. Silly, huh? But fortunately she was fast or she would lose it because it drowned to the pond. Gargoyles couldn't swim, right? Or should she train it how to swim? Maybe not. "Okay, let's see what can you do.." She spoke to the mini gargoyle. "Piertotum Locomotor." Again she casted the charm. "How about give me a jump?" She just stared at the gargoyle but it didn't move. Oh, come one! "Hey, give me a jump please?" Finally the mini gargoyle did her request. It jump. Yay! Guess that she needed to be a little bit patient to work on this gargoyle. "Can you fly?" She asked. Gah, why she seemed like an odd person who talk to a stuffed thing? Well, but it's for homework right? "How about.. fly?" She requested. Then the gargoyle stopped jumping and started flying. Great! But but... Why did it fly too far from her? ARGH! Seemed like her gargoyle was a little bit hyper. "YA! Come back here!" She shouted while she was chasing it, but it flew too far and she wasn't able to chase it. She didn't have any idea to stop it but.. "FINITE!" Good, it stopped and fell down to the ground. But thankfully it didn't break. Why on earth this happened to her? |
Wrapping up? Text Cut: Frieeeend yay Forrest giggled at her way of saying television. "It's a close call with wizarding names," he teased lightly, keeping his smile. Really. Television was nothing compared to Quidditch, if you asked him. And he laughed again, his good mood restored quickly. "We can teach each other everything and try each other's weird stuff and all!" Last time he got this excited for being friends with someone was 2 years ago when he'd started his new school in Saudi Arabia. He looked away for a moment, cheeks all flushed with excitement. "It's marvellous." He had to write about her to his mum. He knew she'd be delighted to hear he had a friend at last, and a great friend that can help him too! Kahlan, you've just commited the biggest error of your life. "Football's the BESTESTEST game in the WORLD! It's--but you have never watched it?" He was CONFUSED. It was the most popular game in the world. Even wizards ought to know it! Because it was--football, almost the only thing that could move the world. "As soon as I find a ball, we'll play it." Settled, no arguments. There might be no television due to technological inadequacy, but they could not stop him from playing it. Her error of never hearing what it was had to be corrected, and he'd see to it. He thought the fire in his heart was almost extinguished, at least buried deep down, but she'd just invigorated it and no one could stop it now. His stomach groooowled again, like it did at Hufflepuff table, and he got up, facing her. "Shall we eat lunch?" He was paying too if she didn't have money, in literal sense at this school. |
Transfiguration Homework #1 SPOILER!!: Susan Laughing about the spell Min shook her head, I only guided you, you did the rest on your own." Looking at her little gargoyle in front of her she came up with an idea and smiled, "You know we could do some extra practicing here if you would like?" Why not work together, then if her cousin needed the help she could help and it gave Min an extra excuse to play with her [s]stubborn[/b] gargoyle. Placing Fluffy down in the grass and watching the pygmy bounce out in front of her, Minerva opened her bag and pulled out the box with the gargoyle in it. Opening the box she took out the gargoyle and laid it in the grass. "Now I don't know how yours was, but I felt like mine was a little stubborn even though I don't think they should have a mind of their own since they are just transfigured, but who knows." giggling a bit she thought about how silly that must sound. "Alright, maybe I will have mine do some cartwheels first, what do you think?" Thinking about the spell for a few moments Minerva then pulled her wand from it's holster. Waving it above the gargoyles head ""Piertotum Locomotor."" As the gargoyle came to life it gave her that same what do you want look. Min just smiled down at it "Cartwheels please." flipping her finger in little circles for some reason thinking that would explain better. The gargoyle eyed her for a few seconds and then raised it's stone arms and began the cartwheels. "Well a little sloppy, but he'll get better I think.. or at least I hope he will." She felt he was a little odd to begin with so it wouldn't surprise her if she had the one gargoyle that wouldn't be able to do stuff. Letting it cartwheel a little while, Min finally raised her wand, "Finite" and the gargoyle became a still stature once more. Looking over to Susan she smiled, "Now you want to try to make yours do the dancing?" |
Transfiguration Homework Post #1 [SPOILER] Quote:
Susan laughed when Min said her gargoyle was stubborn. Susan didn't realize the gargoyles had personality. Susan was interested to see what Min's gargoyle would do when she said the spell. "Maybe your gargoyle just had a bad day." Now Susan really laughed cuz she thought was just silly thinking. "Cartwheels sound like fun." Susan sat up straighter to watch Min cast the spell. She loved to watch witches and wizard preform magic. When Min cast the spell her gargoyle looked at her. Susan smiled a wide smile, she would never get tired of magic. When Min asked her gargoyle to do cartwheels her gargoyle looked at her like "seriously". Susan was starting to think that Min was right and her gargoyle was stubborn. "Well this is probably his first time doing them so he probably does need more practice." Susan sat watching Min's gargoyle cartwheel until she ended the spell. Susan raised her wand and put it over her gargoyles head "I hope he knows what the Macarena is, Piertotum Locomotor." The gargoyle came to life and Susan was super excited she almost forgot to give it a command. "Oh...dance the Macarena please." The gargoyle must know what is means because he started to do the dance. Susan was really impressed, the only time she could do that dance is when she had music to go with it. After the gargoyle did the dance two times through Sue decided to let it stop. She held up her "Finite. That was cool, I can't even do that without the music. I loose my rhythm." |
Kitaton 3> Tag was strolling around the castle and the castle grounds until he saw something familiar. Something familiar that made him very happy. But, just to make sure, he slowly made over to the place. And YES! It was still there. He stood by the entrance for a brief moment just to take in the sight. A huge grin spread out across his face, until he saw exactly what the sign said. "There's no more bread for the ducks anymore because of the school's budget." Tag spoke to himself in a very low, quiet voice as he stared at the sign. Well, at least the duck pond was still there, so there was that upside. Tag would be most upset if they had taken it away. In fact, he wondered if people knew he wanted this place to stay forever. Maybe he should tell a Professor, ask them if they could do that for him. |
Quote:
Holding a bowl of ice cream in his hand, Alec walked down the grounds in a slightly happier mood than he had been in recently. It probably had a lot to do with the fact that he was about to eat his favourite dessert whilst watching one of his favourite animals swim about in the pond. Although, he had a strong feeling that puppies might be overruling ducks on the favourite animals spot. ... Maybe. ... OH? Looks like it was also Time to Disturb the Best Mate. Because that was acceptable behaviour. The grin on his face only grew as he approached the younger Gryffindor, even if the dude was talking about the budget and... no bread for the ducks?! His grey-blue eyes widened in surprise and he looked from his best mate to the sign the dude was reading. "No more? None?" he whispered back, stepping up right beside the dude with his bowl of ice cream. Which... speaking of... wasn't that the bright side in this situation? |
Quote:
Then he heard the familiar voice of Summers Junior. "Oh, hey, Alec. I guess you just saw." The gryffindor said as he pointed at the sign. "Guess that means we'll have to be the duckies daddies now?" Oh, look how generous his best friend was. Coming down here with a bowl of ice cream for his favorite sweetcheeks. "Oh, ice cream." Tag said a little more cheerfully as he reached over and grabbed the bowl of ice cream and began to dig in. "This.." swallow, "is..." swallow, "bloody brilliant." swallow. |
Quote:
"Did you want to?" he asked looking over at the girl. This was weird. They had never had a conversation about if they wanted to talk. Looking back at the pond, he pulled at the grass. "Yeah, weird. That, and having to pay for everything, and stuff." |
Transfiguration Homework Post 2 SPOILER!!: Susan Minerva clapped her hands at the Gargoyle and thought of an idea. Pulling her own off the grass she set him back down close to the already dancing Gargoyle. Waving her wand quickly, "Piertotum Locomotor" As the gargoyle looked at her with that same look, Min couldn't help but roll her eyes and point to the dancing gargoyle. "Dance the Macarena please." She couldn't help but do the arm movements in front of the gargoyle just in case it needed it. The gargoyle started dancing with Susan's gargoyle and Min laughed. "Oh they need music.. Yes" She began ba baing the beat of the song and the gargoyles followed the beat. She began clapping her hands to the beat and bobbing her head a bit laughing. She knew it was silly, but it was fun and the gargoyles looked to be doing great. Then she heard Susan and she waved her own wand "Finite" "Well that was fun" She smiled towards Susan. |
Quote:
She could even fall asleep. "Mmm, yeah I don't like having to pay to get to the dorms. I'm considering getting a group together and camping out in either the tree house or the Room of Requirements." She shrugged slightly and glanced over to Toad and Kaiden once more. "I really, just - if Hogwarts keeps going this rate I'm not sure I'd stay you know? I mean, heck I'd even transfer to Beauxbaton even though I speak no french what-so-ever to not deal with paying to get into a dorm." Yep, she was the epitome of lazy, that, and she wanted to travel to France. "So what do you think about the food?" She asked snorting somewhat. "I mean last term everything was great, grand, and wonderful and now...its gross I mean the dirt and dust and all - I seriously want to start a group in the school...like SAADE - students against a dirty environment? I don't know something and we clean the school up..." she shrugged. It was better sounded then SPEW at least. |
Quote:
"mmhmm, Camping. I've got a tent and everything. If you want to...." or yeah, no. "But yeah, I'd do it. What ever you want." He reached back and rubbed his neck. Yeah. "I don't know what my parents will think. I mean, they sent me to Salem once. They may just pull me out and send me back there." Which by the way would be no good. He shrugged. "Its pretty bad. I don't like the food at all. Ice cream's not bad though." It was funny how all the dessert was the only food to come out good. "Seeker and I found a huge spider and web in one of our dorms. Some how, I don't think they care about if we are agains the dirt or not. They'll just give us a vacuum cleaner." Kaiden reached over and gave her a small pat on the shoulder. It wasn't too bad, the dirt. Not wince he was used to camping and being outdoors. |
Quote:
And she just raised an eyebrow when she realized what he had said. Had he really just said anything she wanted? She was about to comment on that when she noticed it – the neck rubbing. Seriously that was kind of silly – why was he acting all nervous and fidgety near her? She hadn’t done anything had she? “So,” Oh now she was sure to get his attention right? “Kaiden, quick question, why do you always do that neck-rubbing thing?” She asked concerned. She didn’t know if it was lice related or something. For all she knew he could be trying to discretely dispel those white scalp-biting monsters from his head as they spoke. She managed to calm down. For a moment and then he mentioned it. The spider web. “H-how bi-iiig was it?” She asked the words elongating in her fear. She was in such a fear-space that when he touched her shoulder she jumped. “Spiders” she muttered, “I don’t like spiders…” She pulled her knees closer to her as she sat there her eyes were as wide as ever. |
Quote:
Kaiden laughed. "Yeah, no way I'm forgetting that. And don't worry I don't plan on letting you do that any time soon" That, had been a bad experience. Though, he had heard about those cupcakes, and he was really glad he hadn't had one of those. "Why do I?..." Kaiden asked, before realizing what he was doing. "Oh.... I... Er... well...I guess I just do it?" When he was nervous. "Yeah...." Er... maybe he shouldn't have told her about the spider. "It really wasn't that big" he lied. Because it really had been a huge web and spider. Of course, that didn't matter now. Oh no. He had made her jumpy. Without even thinking about it, Kaiden scooted closer and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Hey, Don't worry. No spiders here." He wasn't even going to tell her about spider that was over there by Toad. Which was good, because he just ate him up. |
Transfiguration Homework Post #2 Quote:
"That was a lot of fun, our gargoyles having a dance party." Susan giggled again after she said this. This was a lot of fun, Sue definitely missed this over the summer: Min, magic, and being together. "So, what to do next? I don't think yours looked to particularly happy to be dancing." Yes, something was definitely up with Min's gargoyle. Then Sue had an idea. Putting her wand over the gargoyle "Piertotum Locomotor" Once again her gargoyle came to life waiting for a command. "Give the other gargoyle a hug please" Susan smiled at her gargoyle hoping he would do what he was being asked, she wasn't sure if gargoyle's got along. |
Transfiguration Homework Post3 SPOILER!!: Susan Minerva laughed as Susan said about a dance party, yes they were stony little gargoyle dancers. Hmmm, that made her think of an idea, but Susan distracted her. "See I felt something was going on with mine. He's to grumpy. That's what I think I'll call him. Grumpy. " Watching Susan wave her wand again and then she told her gargoyle to hug Min's gargoyle, but grumpy was grumpy, and that's when it hit her. Waving her wand, "Piertotum Locomotor" The gargoyle did it's usual look, but Min didn't wait or try to be nice, "Duck" Minerva watched the gargoyle start moving around the grass with it's arms back and she looked at it so oddly. "That's.. not.. what.. oh.. " She started laughing, "I wanted the dumb thing to duck out of the way from the hug, so your gargoyle would tumble over him, kind of like a clown act. I thought maybe for the circus they could work together as a clown act, but I think my gargoyle thought I meant to be an actual duck." Raising her wand, "Finite" She stopped the Duck impersonating gargoyle and chuckled, "It was still funny, but not exactly what I was looking for." |
Quote:
She didn’t even notice him commenting about the food. She did however notice the reaction to his neck rubbing. “So…its just something you do?” She asked and felt herself calm down a bit. That’s good I was thinking it could have to do with hair loving scalp-biting mites. she thought to herself and felt herself sigh as arms wrapped around her. “Thanks” she smiled softly and leaned her head on his shoulder. Sure she was sort of shaking a bit. But him hugging her was helping. Really helping. Ooh whatever shampoo he used smelled nice she thought and adjusted her head. |
Quote:
Then she had an idea. "But I do hate seeing you this way, Taylor. How about we go get some ice cream or something from the kitchen? That always helps me when I'm sad. And you need to get your mind off it as well...like doing something fun. Perhaps after we eat ice cream, we could fly around on the pitch?" she asked, lifting Taylor's chin up so she could look at her. She smiled warmly at her as she waited for the girl to answer. |
Transfiguration Homework Post #3 Quote:
When Min got out her wand, Sue thought that Min was going to have her gargoyle return the hug. Sue frowned when Min told her gargoyle to duck. But then she busted out laughing when Min's gargoyle started acting like a duck. "Don't think that was what you had in mind. Finite. Sue ended her gargoyle in pursuit of the hug. "Maybe we have to be really specific when giving the command." Sue wanted to try see how her gargoyle would interact with her. Sue raised her wand "Piertotum Locomotor. Shake my hand" The gargoyle walked towards Sue and stuck out it's hand and Sue put her hand in his. "Ouch!" When he grasped it his grip was a little strong but Sue should have suspected that since he was made of stone. Luckily the gargoyle let go quickly. "Finite" Sue needed to inspect her hand before she gave him another command. |
Quote:
"Yeah, something I do... when... I'm er, nervous." he said rubbing the back of his neck again. "Mhmm. Don't mention it" he murmured, wrapping his other arm around the girl. "Its okay." he said resting his head against hers. Her hair was nice and soft like always. "You're fine, Miks. Toad will take care of 'em. Nothing to worry about, at all." |
Quote:
The edge of his neck, and the pond, because she couldn’t move her head with his on top of hers now could she? When he wrapped his other arm around her she just sighed a bit and felt herself calm down a bit more any calmer and she could possibly fall asleep on him. ”Yeah at least it wasn’t all that big” she felt herself sigh. ”Nope. I’m not not going to mention it – thank you because you calmed me down after I was in meltdown central.” she just laughed a bit and felt herself shake a little more. Yep, thinking of the melt down had made her think of the thing that had caused it…and thinking of that gave her the heebie-jeebies. ”Well, thank Toad for me then” she finally added with a smile. Words came pouring out of the girls mouth before she could stop them or go back in time and gobble them up so they wouldn’t have come out. Her eyes were large, larger then they had been in a while. ”What shampoo do you use?” those telling words had made her eyes grow to the size of golf balls and beyond. |
Quote:
Wasn't all that big? "Right." the boy nodded in agreement. "Not that big" Only huge. "You're welcome." he said giving her tight squeeze. And then she shuttered again. "Miks, Miks, Miks. What's wrong? You're fine, honestly." Err, what was he supposed to do? Lifting his head, he quickly pecked the girl's temple, and then put his head on hers. so she couldn't move it. "I think he heard that." Kaiden said as he watched his toad jump over to them. What? "My shampoo?" He asked raising his head. "Just stuff." He didn't know. It was what ever was in that bottle. |
Quote:
But his reaction to being nervous around her just made her eyebrows knit together. She was thoroughly confused. She just brushed it off because he was probably nervous that she was going to give him food she made and she wasn’t going to do that…or it was about that spider he mentioned earlier, speaking of which something was off. The way he had said it didn’t sit well with her. She had no idea what was going to happen when he moved her head – she didn’t think this. She thought maybe he was going to shake her and tell her to calm down…not kiss her head and then put his head right down where it had been before. He was preventing her escape. “Its just fear don’t worry” she muttered over to him and she couldn’t help but laugh when he mentioned toad. “Yeah don’t mind that question I’m just weird…” her ears were pink. Hopefully he couldn’t tell. “So, your dorm was a total mess as well?” She asked, her confusion on the Ravenclaw-being-clean thing still pertinent. “Ravenclaw was clean I mean…someone obviously took the time to make sure we had no idea that the rest of the school was such a mess.” Heck they’d even had their things. She squirmed a bit her brows knitting together in confusion had he just actually kissed her forehead. “Oh” she gasped. Shock was the one thing her face resembled right now. “You…” she bit her lip to keep from saying the wrong thing. “You don’t think they just forgot about Ravenclaw on purpose so we wouldn’t realize the school was a mess?” She asked the sentence not fitting right with the sound of her oh, and you…seriously, she was about to ask him if he liked her but she pushed the ridiculous thought from her head. |
Transfiguration Homework # 4 SPOILER!!: Susan Minerva shrugged, "Well your probably right, but it's a funny name and fits him so well." He did seem like a grumpy gargoyle, so she was going to continue calling him grumpy. "I'm thinking your right on the command thing." She was still chuckling over her gargoyles mistake in the word. As she watched Susan do another command and snapped her head up in concern when she heard Susan say ouch. "You alright?" She didn't take Susan's hand to inspect right away, but was ready to examine it if she seemed to have hurt it worse then just a sting. Looking back at her gargoyle she tried to think of something else for it to do. If they were doing a show, what would be something that could get the crowd excited. She thought of something and got into her bag. Pulling out her quill, "Let's pretend this is a flower." Of course shew as talking to Susan, not the gargoyle. Gargoyle boy was still stone at the moment, so he couldn't hear what they were saying. Waving her wand above his head, "Piertotum Locomotor" As the gargoyle did it's typical look, Min smiled, "Grumpy, take the quill to Susan" She pointed towards Susan so that the Gargoyle knew who that was. Watching he looked back and forth between the two girls, then picked up the quill and walked over to Susan. Once in front of her, he lifted the quill as in handing it to her. Minerva smiled, "Good Job Grumpy, Finite" |
