Curiosity won against him, as he moved slightly closer to ask, "Nice day out." Looking now at her book. "So what are you reading?" |
Quote:
She lowered her hands and moved her head 90 degrees. IT was the same Hufflepuff she noticed while heading here. She was caught off guard when he said something about the book. Immediately, Erin moved up and sat down, being a little protective about her book. It was a bit embarrassing reading this in front of girls, what more with guys. However, she was at least lucky since the guy doesn't exactly know her, or vice versa. ...STILL, she needed to give him a smile which was what she did. Stare, blink and talk, "Hey...and you're?" That was all she could utter right now. |
Quote:
His right brow then perked a little at her sudden discreetness. Guess the book was personal or.. not appropriate? Hm. Anyways, she seemed nice. "I'm Wade," He smiled right back at her. "What's your name?" It was nice getting to know more people around the school. |
Quote:
They are definitely on the same year. While scanning the guy, her hand unconsciously left a grasp at the book she was protecting which showed the title writings. This guy somehow amuses her, not in a weird way. And then she heard him talking. She shouldn't be surprised since she asked a question. It was just right for him to answer, right? But she was definitely surprised with the voice. And it showed. "...Erin." Aw, feeling starstruck. She struggled for a smile to plaster on her face, bit her lip and spoke, "It's nice to meet you Wade." She couldn't think of other things to say! @.@ |
Quote:
"It's actually my summer plans but yeah, I'm super excited to see my family too." Even though he didn't look particularly excited to see them now. He was still worried that she might try to give the ice-cream to poor animals, and kept eyeing the bowl in her hands. "I--erm... okay... one spoon, I guess, hehe..." Did she mind sharing the same spoon? Or did she have a spare spoon? |
Quote:
"So what big summer plans do you have?" She knew where she was headed most likely, but no one really needed to know those plans, but why not see what fun things others are doing. How she was hoping to work again this summer, but now wasn't sure if she would be able too. A big excited smile formed on Min's face when Forrest said he would have some. YAY to sharing the yummy goodness. Opening her bag she pulled out another spoon. Of course she carried extra's what if she dropped her spoon and lost it or like right now what if she found someone to share with. Since needing to share with Daichi at the Quidditch match Minerva always came prepared. "Here ya go!! " |
Quote:
"I'm from Durham. A muggleborn, yes." He bet she wasn't, though. In fact, he remembered vaguely... but he wasn't so sure. Shrug. Silence. 'Cos he never was the conversationalist, even less with an older student. So, silence on his side, questions on hers. His face lit up though. Because he LOVED summer plans. "Football, mostly," he grinned, "And TV and video games and friends and stuff." He nodded in a serious manner. Wow. So she was prepared. He blinked for a moment before composing himself and got the spoon. He eyed the ice-cream and tried his best to refrain from making a face, but got some on the spoon and ate. |
Quote:
Muggleborn she beamed, "I think we have the best advantage really.. All this magic and fun here and then to be told no magic over the summer. We are use to no magic so it helps." She gave him a wink. Technically she was half blood, but since her mother never told her she was a witch Minerva always felt she was more muggleborn than half. Oh Durham she did remember talking to Forrest about where he was from before. Yes... It was all coming back to her now. "Have you gotten use to using your wand now? How is the spells going?" She could help him if he needed, but only if he wanted the help. "Now when you say football, you are meaning soccer, right? I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude, but see I'm actually from the United States.. So the word Football confuses me." Her football was very different.. "My computer and Ipod are the things I miss the most while here. I've been working on a charm that can make my Ipod work, but it's an advance charm so I haven't gotten it yet." She really had to figure that out.. It was time. .She missed her music.. |

Wade's eyes traveled around while still facing Erin, looking for any signs of ducks, no doubt. He glanced curiously to see that-well lookie here-, her hands weren't directly covering some of the words on it. How to get your crush-.. Oh.. His eyes stared at the words for a moment, blinking before he glanced back at Erin. "Does that book work?" His face maay have been a little red as he asked. |
Quote:
Next thing she knew was that his face was on a pinkie shade while looking at her book. Her own book. Erin was doomed. "OH." She let out a forced smile towards Wade. It was truly embarrassing for a girl...to be caught by a guy...reading these. LOL. "Hehe. I'll get back to you when I've read the first word." She teased to somehow lessen the awkward mood. "Why? Do you need it?" |
Quote:
Wade smirked at Erin's reaction, before tilting his head slightly to hear what she would say. He did indeed have a special girl he had been working to impress. Hmm.. so she had just got the book, then. "Yeah, reading it might help." He chuckled a little. Now did he really need it.. "Well.. do you?" Obviously, if she has it with her. "I mean.." Looks like Wade wasn't wanting to give in on telling that easily, especially to someone he just met, heh. Having a crush on someone was the only hint that gave that away on the current the faint pink on his cheeks. "Well.. maybe we could help each other." If it meant they got to share the book that is. "If you want, that is.." |
Quote:
"Do the ducks have names?" Wow that was so cool, and also sad for him because he learnt it only now. Well, Minerva would teach? Yeah. He nodded with a sad smile. He still preferred no magic ever, so he didn't comment on that. Video games and computers were magic themselves. Who needed more? Oh that issue. Yeeeeah... "I'm--doing rather fine thanks." Fake smile all over. He didn't want any help. Because he would sure fail, and he didn't want anyone to see him fail. "Yeah soccer. Do you watch?" Oh now he remembered she was from the States. "Don't you have a wizarding school there?" Like... it was the States, see? Surely they had? They had everything! Did she say she could make iPod work here? He leaned forward with interest. "Professor Airey's working on TVs too!" Really Forrest, calm down! Don't get too excited! "Can you really make it work? WOW! If you manage it would you make mine work too?" PleasepleasePLEASE?! |
Quote:
It seems like she's not as embarrassed as she felt she was. It rather seemed like a help came out of the heavens. She wasn't always this clingy to guys. She was the last to realize she's in love, not the other way around. Either way, she'd only had one and he was a Muggle. Indeed, he confirmed that it was a helping hand he was offering. She let out a chuckle when she realized everything about this. Wade is head over heels interested over this piece of Muggle book. "Are you telling me... that you want me to help you get a girl? So, does she reside in Hogwarts?" With a simple smile, she felt lighter than before. |
Quote:
Then Wade's face went red as he thought of the benefits if this all worked out. Now, how did this happen..The typical easy-going and laid-back Wade was getting shy over the thought of a certain girl. Wasn't it just a few moments ago that it was Erin feeling embarassed instead of the other way around now. Heh. It was amazing what a crush did to someone. Maybe Erin will temporarily borrow the inner eye for this moment before helping the poor guy. "If you want.." Now he had to answer. "Yeah.. she does." He smiled as he said this. |
SPOILER!!: Forrest :woot: He was eating ice cream with her.. Minerva was so happy to be sharing her yummy goodness with one of her ickle badgers. She noticed he only had one spoon full. The seventeen year old pouted a bit with this. She wanted to share her ice cream with him not just one spoonful, but she wouldn't argue it was his choice and that just meant more for her and the ducks. Speaking of ducks, "Yeah they do.. I don't remember all of them though. We need Duck Daddy for that. He's there dad and takes care of them and stuff.. I think. I do know that one is Sal and one is Si." Yep she helped name Si... She watched him curiously as he seemed to not answer the magic questions and then his answer didn't seem super excited. How could anyone not be super excited about magic. She loved her muggle things, but now that she had her wand she didn't know if she could ever give that up. Chuckling a bit she thought about how funny that sounded to her, because she had made a decision a while ago that she probably would leave this behind. No she knew differently. "Well the world is endless with your wand Forrest." Soccer.. well that's what she figured, "I have seen it, but I actually don't follow it much. I'm more into the American Football and Hockey." yes those were her two favorites, "and quidditch of course. Have you been to the matches? They are pretty exciting." She hoped the boy had been there and enjoyed himself. "Have you had fun your first term at least? Made a lot of friends?" She hoped the first year was happy and enjoying himself. She smiled at his interest, "Well it's a really advanced spell, but I've been working on it all term. Want me to try it and we could see?" She tilted her head, "Professor Flamsteed is doing that?" She really needed to see him, but all he had to do was go see the muggle studies professor, they had watched movies here before. |
Kita/Alecbear 3> Ohhh. So this was the best and easiest homework Tag would ever do in his life, and he was surely gonna do it! The little bowl had gone to the kitchen to make his, or rather Alec's bowl of ice cream. It wasn't decorated with too much toppings. He wasn't aware of what Alec put on his ice cream whenever he had any. Just some caramel syrup and some ice cream cone crumbs and strawberries. That was about it. The little blonde boy went to the duck pond, because where else would he easily find Alec other than the common room? And sat on the grass, holding his, Alec's bowl of ice cream in his hand. Ohhhh. That ice cream looked soooooo goood. Tag stared into it's depths. Would Alec mind if he took some? Nah. Tag wasn't sure if Alec would be disgusted by Tag using Alec's would be spoon, so he tipped the bowl in his hand, and waited for the toppings and ice cream to slowly crawl into his mouth. AHHHHH. DE-LIC-IOUS! |
<333 Charms homework; before Potions homework? Quote:
Having spent a LOT of time preparing for this, Alec headed down towards the duck pond, happy about meeting his best mate for this assignment. Because Knox HAD said that they had to meet up with their best friend for this ice cream sharing, yeah? And who had Alec thought of? "SWEETCHEEKS!" Oh and HEY ducks too! Enthusiastic!wave! But... TAG WAS HERE. Alec hurried along down towards the duck pond, a bowl of cold ice cream clutched in his hands. He had made extra sure to cast the charm on this bowl too because, well, he couldn't hand the guy ice cream soup. Soup wouldn't hold the various toppings -- there were LOTS of jelly beans in there for reasons -- together very well. Plus the colours of the ice cream would mix and wouldn't show the Irish pride effect that Alec had been going for. "I present to thee," he chirped, holding out the bowl, "Tageth Fredrick Sweecheeks Kildare of Gryffindorsy, a bowl of ice cream to show... my appreciation... of our friendship!" 'Hey mate, I got you ice cream' probably would have been better but eh. And hugs. Those were needed to be given too. |
Quote:
The boy then looked up at his best friend as he address Tag in a fancy manner. " I'm gryffindorsy now, eh? Tag said with a slightly laugh when Alec had finished. " Nothing says friendship like sharing ice cream! " He continued laughing as he gently grabbed the bowl of ice cream from Alec. He peered into the bowl and turned slightly red. " You're trying to embarrass me, I know it, mate. " Tag said as he spotted the jelly beans! Oh and look at that, because of the beans they had created an orange, green and whitefish swirl of colors on the ice cream. He then hastily passed Alec's bowl of ice cream. " And for you! Also, sit down, I feel weird having you stand up. " That sounded like an order but Alec knew it wasn't one. |
For Kira c: Harrison yawned behind his hand as he made his way down to the duck pond, two pieces of stale bread in his hand. It was stupid someone had wasted them really; they had been perfectly edible, and perhaps the ducks were going hungry. They would hopefully like the bread he had managed to save... It was a little embarrassing going to feed the ducks. Even for a first year it would be, let alone someone in their penultimate year. But as he looked around, most of the people there seemed younger than him, so couldn't bee too much of a problem. He settled down by the pond, looking across it as he tried to block out the other people. They weren't being too loud, but some time on his own was what he really wanted. And it was best to blend in, so he wasn't seen feeding the ducks by some fellow sixth-year who would never forgive him for it. Suddenly outward appearances had started to matter to Harrison, and it was weird at the very least. At least the ducks wouldn't care how he looked. |
I hath been summoned! Quote:
The next time he stuck his head out, he quacked and noticed someone who looked around about the same age as him. Yes! That was two people in one day! He was on a lucky streak! And this guy was feeding ducks, which meant that maybe, just maybe, he could steal some bread from him? Or maybe, if he tried his best, he could pretend to be a duck and fool him into doing it? Well, there was no harm in trying that, and if it failed, he could just ask! Or tackle him and grab it. He didn't know which way it would go. And with that, he sped from his hideout, skipping at least once. He loved bread... He wasn't sure why, it was pretty bland, but he enjoyed eating it. Then again, he enjoyed eating pretty much everything. He soon reached the fellow sixth-year and knelt near him, puffing his arms out to imitate wings. He also pushed his lips out to imitate a duck's beak, before giving out a loud quack. "QUACK!" |
"QUACK!" If Harrison had been sitting any nearer to the pond, he would now be sitting in it, covered in pondweed. Apparently he hadn't quite blocked out all people, because this unique and... Interesting approach at a duck impersonation had managed to reach him. He had jumped so hard that several proper ducks had given him a look, snapped up their bread and got away from the boys as fast as possible. "I think you scared us," he looked down at himself and to the ducks, chuckling weakly from the unexpected duck attack. Harrison's eyes found the duck wannabe and studied him. He was probably the same age as him, or similar, and had the look of insanity in his eyes that only someone who impersonated ducks for fun could have. Maybe doubting his own dignity was a step too dramatic for Harrison; he was now relatively normal. |
Quote:
"Uh, yeah, sorry about that!" Harland said, looking at the ducks who were fleeing, before back to the other. "I was just hoping to get some bread! Any chance of a bit? I'm starving!" He hadn't eaten in two hours. Two whole hours! He was desperate! Besides, if it was good enough for the ducks, it was good enough for him. Realising that the other boy probably though he was weird, he sat back, his face reverting to its usual state as he grinned. |
Quote:
Harrison shifted about on the grass a little, watching the ducks carefully, in hope he hadn't scared them all away totally. He liked them, really. The duck boy was just a little... odd. "Are you in my year?" He asked politely, thinking he couldn't just share bread with a stranger and leave it at that. "Sixth Year, that is." Harland was a face he recognised from around school, but had never really spoken to, for lack of a need to. And he certainly wasn't in Hufflepuff. |
Quote:
Harland nodded, grinning once more. "Yeah! I'm a sixth year, too! Just came here, actually, got homeschooled. The common room is a complete mess... Is it the same in the-" He stopped for a moment, quickly looking at the colour of Harrison's tie. "Hufflepuff common room? And are there Dementors in your common room?" He asked, shuddering at the memory. That had been creepy; he had never expected to find Dementors at Hogwarts... He hadn't expected to find Dementors at all, actually. He rather hoped he wouldn't run into them again, though. |
Quote:
“Oh, homeschooled?” He asked. That was interesting to him, for some reason. “I recognise you, though... Which is strange. I’ve been here since first year, but kind of kept my head down for most of it. I don’t like the idea of school too much...” He mumbled, before nodding. “Hufflepuff. Yes, the common room is rather untidy, but I spend most of my time out here anyway. Don’t like school common rooms much, either. But Dementors?” He blinked, raising his eyebrows again. Was it some kind of joke? Why on earth would their be Dementoors in the common room... “Uhm... No... No dementors,” he half smiled, worrying it was a joke. |
