"Sorry,'' he said not looking at anyone in particular, especially not his Professor. Just note, Professor Bentley was in no way at fault for his screwing up. She had probably thought the thing in class and he must have been daydreaming or something. He was a bad student.

So, Brugmansia. Jory did remember a few of their characteristics like their flowers hung down and their pods did not have defensive spines. "I take it you're talking about the Puffapod?'' he asked somewhat dully.

He saw that. The sideways look towards the girl who was at the plant sale. Poor kid, probably trying to impress her and here Aron was giving him an unfair pop quiz on Herbology.

Alright kid, we'll cut you some slack. Especially since the boy went the total opposite direction of what he wanted.

"Yes, that and one of your umbrella flowers." Small pause. "Actually, make that two umbrella flowers." He would give one of them to someone else. Or keep it in the home.

The little blonde looked at all the plants for quite some time before making a decision. Leaning down a little bit Tag read off the plant that had the paper Umbrella Flower written near it. He fished out from his back pocket his wallet and grabbed the money he needed.

"Errr, that Umbrella Flower plant. That's a nice one." He told Lex as he held out his hand with two galleons placed in it.[/COLOR]

You know what? Lex was giggling, she was, because of how willing Tag was to be of some help. No doubt Bentley would be super proud, him being a lion and all. Oh and he thought Bentley would be proud of them. BEAM. "I think so too!!!'

But on to the sale because that's what had drawn him here in the first place! Ooooo he wanted the Umbrella flower!!!! The most expensive! Goody!

"An excellent choice Mr. Leprechaun!!! Just give me one minute!" She grinned, taking the galleons then adding some extra fertilizer to the plant's soil before handing it over. This was in case Tag didn't have any. It'd give him some time before he had to go finding some.

"Here you go. Don't forget to show it of!!"

Nigel had some not to fond memories of fanged geraniums so he would not buy one of them. But the umbrella flower sounded pretty cool.

"I think i want to buy one of those umbrella flowers." Nigel said to Lex once he made his choice. Plus he would walk over to Bentley afterwards and donate a galleon or two. Donating never hurt anyone.

HVFKFYGDFHK!!

He would do both! Excellent and he earned himself a GRIN. She watched him curiously while he made his choice. Really she was hoping he would be like Tag and buy the most expensive as well but seeing as he was willing to donate, it wasn't as necessary for him, you know? Ah but he did choose the most expensive!!!

"That'll be two galleons!" She said before adding just a bit of extra fertilizer to this one as well and having it prepared for him. Being the curious person she was, she wanted to ask how much he'd be donating but that would have been a bit much, wouldn't it?

And just then someone else turned up too. Jory recognised her as one of the Shopkeepers here at Hogsmeade. "Hi, Ma'am!'' He waited patiently as she examined the umbrella flowers and then the Honking Daffodils. Hopefully, both she and the other man would find something they like?

... Sapphira gave the kid a neutral look and a nod. "I'll be needing a few umbrella flowers for my cafe." She stood back from them and eyed the price sign, "By 'few' I mean fifteen, or maybe twenty." She looked at the boy seriously and crossed her arms, "Ten galleons for twenty flowers. A pretty good bargain." It was a very generous offer too, something planted and grew by kids bought with this price? Very generous indeed, underfunded school or not. "Are those honking dafflodils... really honking?" They looked too young to honk properly at this time, though, so maybe grab only a couple?

Excellent. The one she picked looked awesome. He was in a buying mood and the only way to make it go away was buy stuff. Plus he knew the perfect place to put this plant. Who he was going to call Geronimo, of course.

"Awesome. Here is the two galleons and can you hold it for another couple seconds. While i donate"

Nigel handed her the two galleons and did not wait for an answer. He did not care if she followed along to see how much he donated. He walked over to Bentley and the donation tin. "Hello, Professor Bentley."

It was impolite at a fundraiser to not at least greet the person you were donating to. Once he finished greeting her. Nigel dropped 4 galleons into the tin. He was not the biggest fan of Herbology. But he like Professor Bentley.

Okay. Now he was ready to send his plant to his house, go over to the food table, and walk over to Truebridge and donate there as well.

Asher ambled over to the vibrant stall. He stared with a blank look on his face as he fiddled with the locket around his neck. He really wasn't sure why he was attracted to the stall, but here must be some reason and he needed to find out. 'Maybe if I purchase one,' he thought to himself. After several more minutes, he finally cleared his throat and mumbled "Something in an orange, please."

Jory breathed in relief! Finally! Progress. To avoid any future situations like this, he would have to brush up on his Herbology. Though, in his defense, this guys was older and seemed to be the Master of Herbology.

"That'll be four galleons and fifteen sickles,'' the Puff said, feeling slightly more cheerful. Hey, he was a Puffer and they were always cheerful. Well, mostly. Jory checked the Puffapods and Umbrella Flowers to make sure they were in perfect health before placing the pots in a small crate. "Here you go, Sir. Thank you for your support and do give a donation towards Hogwarts!'' Grin. All that had to be done now was to collect the money.

Umbrella flowers! "Good choice, Ma'am,'' Jory said with a nod. "But er, they're actually two Galleons a piece.'' He glanced back at the price list, just to make sure. That would be forty galleons, then. He wondered how the woman arrived at ten Galleons.

And the Honking Daffodils. "They're young, yes but they would probably be honking a few days time.'' Jory waited patiently for the woman to process the information and decide on her purchase. His eyes wandered over to the others. Alexa seemed to be making much progress.

Ringo 06-17-2013 03:09 AM

Seeing that Jory was working with another customer, she gave him a small nod and stood off to the side to wait. Once the customer was off with his plants, she made her way over. "Hello there," she said, smiling at him. She then set a little bag of sweets in front of him. In the bag were chocoballs, licorice wands, chocolate frogs, and a sugar quill. "I got these for you." she told him, beaming. She had been wandering about Honeydukes and couldn't help but get him a few things.

Now to buy some plants. She looked around at all the plants and then up at the price list. "Let's see here..." she muttered to herself, looking at an umbrella flower. Her mum would definitely like those, she just loved plants! "I'll take two umbrella flowers and..." she glanced at all the others. "A honking daffodil and a Fanged Geranium." she finished with a firm nod. She then began to dig in her pockets to get her money while Jory calculated the cost.

Having spent the last while watching people, and tending to the plants while other students took care of the sales part, West was in the perfect position to notice that one kid hanging about. And then asking for stuff.

"Hi." West greeted cheerfully. "How bout some puffapod flowers, they normally just come in pink but we've got some in orange. They're only 15 sickles each, maybe I could interest you in a pair of them so they don't get lonely? Puffapods need love after all."

Finally, Jory was able to get to Ronnie. "Hallo, Rons,'' said, really happy to see her. "I've missed you,'' he added in a whisper and then leaned over to plant a kiss on her cheek. He had not gotten to see her before he left for the Sale, so yeah. It was not weird to say that even though they had spent much time together yesterday. "Oh! Thank ya, my lady!'' He was gonna go high on sugar here! Chocolate Frogs, his favourite!

"That's a lot!'' the Puffer couldn't help saying. He guessed they had to be for her family. "Two umbrella flowers, a honking daffodil and a Fanged Geranium,'' he muttered to memorize them. "I'll be right back.'' Jory collected the plants Ronnie had selected and brought them over to her, packed in a small crate like the one he had given the customer before. "Here ya go, Rons. That'll be... six galleons, eight sickles.''

Awww! He had missed her! Pooor baby. "I've missed you too, love." she said, returning the kiss on the cheek. She missed him every second they were apart, actually. She couldn't stand not being with her Jory-Bear.

She beamed at how happy he was for the candy. Oh Merlin, it was so worth buying all that candy for Jory to see that brilliant smile of his. "You're very welcome, my Jory-Bear!" She replied. He deserved a little something for helping out with the plant sale. It was nice of him to be doing this.

Chuckling, she nodded. "Yeahh. I gotta get some gifts for the family and I wanna donate as much as I can to Hogwarts." she explained, watching as he went to get her her plants. "Thank you, kind sir!" she exclaimed as she dug in her pocket for her coins. She then set down six galleons and eight sickles exactly. "There you are!" she said. NOW GIMME ZE PLANTS.

"I'll save some for later,'' Jory told Ronnie. "By the Lake later?'' That had always been his favourite spot and he seemed even more fond of it these days as he spent loads of time there with Ronnie.

"It's a good idea,'' he added, nodding. Jory especially like the umbrella flowers. He collected the money and handed over the crate. And speaking of donating. "Go say hi to our Professor, Rons. And you can donate some more.'' Grin. "And thank ya, once more!''

Ronnie smiled. "It's a date." she said, giving him a wink. She loved going to the lake with Jory, it seemed to be their spot to go now. Hopefully in the spring when they went on picnics, he'd be up to swimming at the dock!

Anyways. Back to the plants. Ronnie nodded in agreement. "Sure is! Have you guys had many customers?" she asked hopefully, glancing around herself. There were a few people buying here and there, but not many. She hoped more would come soon. "Thank you," she said as she took the crate. Nodding, she gave him a quick kiss goodbye. "I was planning on heading over there right after this." she told him. She really wished she could stick around... but she had to donate the rest of her money at some point, and Jory had customers to tend to. "See ya!" she waved and walked off to find the donation spot.

Aron removed 5 galleons from his wallet and passed them to the boy. "No change needed," he smirked as he took a quick glance in Seren's direction before returning it to the boy. He probably should say sorry to the kid for giving him a hard time, but decided against it. If it encouraged him to go back and brush up on Herbology then it had been worth it. "Tell me, young man, what do you think of your professor?" he asked in as nonchalant a tone as he could muster. "What do you think of your professor?"

Just being the good customer and being concerned about where his galleons were going. Ahem.

Taking up an umbrella flower plant from the stall Sophie inspected it asking. "What kind of maintenance does umbrella flowers require?" Hopefully nothing excessive that would work with her ever-changing work schedule at St Mungos.

Another beam, "Good day to you! I hope you are well. yes, the proceeds of this sale goes towards Hogwarts, helping to educate for a better tommorrow" Sarah said. Sarah was a major supporter of education, she knew education was vital for the future. She hoped that she was being honest as in truth she still did think Hogwarts should be auditted, yet from following it in the Daily Prophet she knew that embezzling maybe was not the problem.

Sarah watched as the customer picked up the plant, "it is very easy to maintain. It has to be watered of course, yet other then that all it needs to be is occasionally trimmed. Oh and it grows best indoors, which brings me to another thing - it grows pretty big so it needs space".
What else... oh yeah fertilizing. It was not a self fertilizer. "Once a month it should be fertilized, and one can use dragon or hippogriff dung to do that". That was probably a lot for the lady to take in, yet Sarah had thought of it before hand. "If you want, I can give you a paper with all the information of its maintenance on it" Sarah had done that the night before, and she had added a few tips. Another charming smile, Sarah hoped the lady would buy it.

She ought to have listened to that voice in her head that told her not to wear heels. She did not, of course, and was sporting a pair of brightly coloured red heels as she stumbled walked towards the plant sale. Had to support her alma mater and all that.

Leaning over a bit to look at what there was, Maisie's eye sparkled when she saw the pink puffpods. Oooooooooooooooh now weren't those pretty! Giving in to her curiosity, the red-head went full on grabby hands near them and picked up a few. Pretty pretty pretty.......OOPS!

Heels catching on themselves, Maisie stumbled forward and let go of the two puffpods she had been holding.

"Sacre Bleu!"

Her attempt to catch the puffpods made her crash into one of the tables and whacking her head on an umbrella flower.

POP POP when the puffpods on the ground and THUD went the umbrella flower.

He fished the coins out of his pocket and handed them over. Maybe he could give them to one of his professors since he hadn't done so well in class. "Thanks." Asher mumbled, still fiddling with his locket.

... and what was with the locket? Nervous much?

One of the pots was cracked and needed either a reparo or to be repotted, but the flower itself looked alright. West picked it up carefully, keeping the broken bits of pot together and putting it up on the table, braced by a couple of other pots for now.

As for the other, the petals were definitely bruised. West wasn't so sure about how to go about fixing that. He picked it up and one of the petals floated forlornly to the ground.

".... kinda. I don't know if we can fix them or anything." He peeked over at Professor Bentley.

Bunz wants some flowers!!!!!!!!!!

It was so good to see the students raising money for the school. So good to see a connection between economics and academics, Herbology and fundraising.

Annie was sure this sale was going to bring in a lot of funding for the subject. And let's be honest here, people: Herbology was clearly the most serious and important subject that Hogwarts offered. She would know, having taught it.

She swaggered wandered over to the stand selling flowers, her four-year-old's hand clutched tightly in hers. "Now Davie, I want you to pick out the brightest and best Fanged Geraniums you see. The bigger the fangs the better." She needed some new type of security to replace her stone gargoyles.

Headmistress was here! That meant she actually cared, which was great as Sarah did not like thinking ill of anyone. Sarah forced a smile on her face, "Hello Headmistress, what can I get for you?" then she noticed little kid, which made her smile real and relally big. She loved little kids. Kids and education were the future after all. "Is that your child! What a cutie!" she gushed."Hey Kiddo! What is your name? I hope you will make your mommy proud of you!" she said to the little kid. Oh wait, she was meant to be professional here.

SPOILER!!: Candy Girl Lex

If Lex was agreeing on Tag's choice of which plant to get than it must be quite the excellent plant. He was happy he was helping out the school as best as he could. And, now he had a extra pretty plant to spark up the drawer beside his bed.

"Mr. Leprechaun. Hehe. Sure, take your time Lex, no rush here." He reassured her as he began to drum on the side of his trousers as Lex did her required work. And soon enough Lex was spraying something into the plant and a few seconds later was passing it to Tag.

"Oh, I'll show it off like the pretty plant it is." He said merrily as he lifted the plant into his hands and held it closely to his chest. "Thanks, Lex. See you around." The little blonde said as he carefully gave her a one motioned wave goodbye.

Kids and education were the future after all. "Is that your child! What a cutie!" she gushed."Hey Kiddo! What is your name? I hope you will make your mommy proud of you!" she said to the little kid. Oh wait, she was meant to be professional here.

"We'll take thaaaat fanged gernamium," David replied to the girl, ignoring her questions and gushing, "an' thaaaaat one, an' thaaat." He pointed at various flowers with his tiny index finger, just barely tall enough to see up into the flower stand if he stood back far enough. He scuffed his toe into the steet after he got done pointing, not really liking to talk to strangers.

"His name is David, and he's a little shy," the Headmistress supplied for her son, a half-smile on as she eyed the boy and then looked back to Sarah. "How is the sale going, Ms. Edwards? Are you making a lot?"

Ahem.

"Thanks, Mister!'' Jory said taking the coins. Yay! They were doing great! Every sickle helped. Professor Bentley? Why was the man asking about her? Did he want to find out more before he donated money? Jory cast a glance at his very pregnant Professor. "She's a wonderful Professor,'' he said honestly. "Something about the way she teaches Herbology makes it fun and appealing even to those who do not like the subject.'' He himself had been apprehensive about the subject for a few of his earlier years but now that was all gone. "Hogwarts is very lucky to have her.'' Yup. And he would miss her when he left Hogwarts. So, Jory had given an honest reply. Now the man can go help his school? Pretty please?

SPOILER!!: Ronnie

"Great! Bring some ice cream if you can,'' Jory told Ronnie. Really. Why did he suddenly want to eat that treat every single day now? "Not too much. But its still early.'' So hopefully more customer's will turn up soon? They were still doing okay with sales so far. "Okay, I'll see you later, Rons.'' Jory pecked her on her cheek once more before she left.

Kid was so cute! Sarah watched him as he talked nodding and taking it all in. She felt like pinching his cheeks! Then his mother spoke, "hello David! What a nice name.. that is my father's name..." she then turned her attention back to his mother. "I know some shy kids" Sarah was never a shy kid yet she had a friend in school that was. "GREAT! People are eager to help. We have made some sales already.." Sarah was a born optimist
I don't know how much we have made yet. Maybe you can ask West Oddessa, he always know a lot" Sarah had not counted, yet even if she did know she would not go around announcing it a her father always said 'that blessing is in what is hidden'.
"So would you like those Fanged Geraniums that David picked out for you?" she asked.
