Posted on the door of this spare locker room hangs a piece of parchment that reads:

Rest assured that Professor James has made a trip through to tidy up and reduce the stench from smelly socks left in a locker once upon a time. This room should serve as a nice temporary home. | |

He was trying, okay? He really was TRYING to pay attention, but it was so hard and this got so boring and he just was over it. Might have been that he was anxious being up so high in the stands, but this was not fun for him anymore. Ascanius just didn't understand how they could all spend prolonged periods of time up in the air without a care in the world. Mental patients.
As soon as his captain scored again, Ella grabbed the ball and threw it back into play toward Theo. His house mate took a vertical dive toward the ground and Ascanius stood. Jeez! Was he just gonna go and plummet into the ground? He had the BALL, why was he so upset? Oh no wait, false alarm. Theo did it as a decoy and while everyone was distracted at the last minute he pulled up and landed RIGHT in front of the hoopy things. Boss. Seriously boss.
But the guy in blue who had been scoring before, skidded right in front of Theo and tried to knock him off of his broom. Which didn't work so well because pretty soon both guys were semi-wrestling on their brooms to try and get teh ball.
HAH! And then it fell between both of them. The hairy guy in yellow grabbed it and tried to toss it back to Ella, but his captain intercepted it and scored again.
Ascanius was starting to see a pattern.

But then suddenly the whole tempo of the game changed. Drummer problems.
One minute the green peeps, which were HIS peeps now by the way, were owning and being all look how fabulous we are. The redheaded girl coudl throw in a hair flip in there if she liked. And then the NEXT second the whole field just sort of took a flip on the head. It was like BAM, SNAP, DIFFERENT GAME.
The guy in yellow, the hairy one, was suddenly owning the field. After the guy in blue threw the ball back into play, the guy in YELLOW took no prisoners. Nope. He was swerving in and out of everyone on the field and dodging their every move. It was insane and he was moving REALLY fast.
Jeez, if you were gonna do something at least do it all the way. And this guy was taking that statement and running with it.
Before anyone could even touch him, he scored. O.O

Because this guy had suddenly raised the bar TENFOLD everyone else seemed to step up their game too. Okay, Ascanius had no idea logistically what was going on, but it all looked really awesome. Like everyone was swerving in and out of each other and colors were flying and-
Maybe this was what Pen meant when she said it was a rush. Huh. He'd have to mull that over. Pfft. On his own time though because game on, yo.
After Bubbaloo had thrown the ball back into play, everyone was attacking it again, but all of them were smiling. So you're gonna suffer, but you're gonna be happy about it. Weird concept, but he'd roll with it.
And then Ella had the quaffle and leaned in close to her broom to zoom across the field. Lightening fast. The people in yellow were BRINGING IT, but before she scored she pulled her arm back to toss it into the hoop and Dylan grabbed it from her outstretched hand.
And he scored.
8/10: Besides Hermione and Lily Evans, what other "muggle-born" wizard does Slughorn discuss and rave about as being one of his "all time favorites" while talking with Harry?

The game was starting to wind down, he could feel it. Everyone suddenly had this electric level of focus and no one was talking anymore. The only noise that could be heard on the field was that of the wind rushing through their practice cloaks. It was intense. As intense as he had ever seen a game before. Sure, muggle sports were awesome, but this was a whole new level of intense that he had never seen before.
The yellow people were passing the ball back and forth between the two of them. HE NEEDED TO LEARN THAT GUY’S NAME, OKAY? And Bubbaloo and the scoring blue guy were gaining on them. So it was pretty awesome and fast passed.
And then Bubbaloo came forward, stole the ball and scored.
Without even realizing it, Ascanius stood up and threw his fist in the air, “That is how it’s DONE!”
Blink. Awkward.
