Dylan had been eyeing the study table from afar...and then he was here. He wanted to do some straightening up. Maybe clean the floors real quick, clean away trash....They'd been craving bark in here for Ancient Runes...and there were pieces on the floor...Maybe he'd even scrub the floor, come to think of it...

It was all in the name of keeping busy and not thinking about his earlier frustrations, of course....So, yea. He was going to get on that...

Summoning one of the soapy water buckets over, a sponge, an a rag, he decided to start with the tables first. Snatching the rag up, Dylan sprayed the dusting agent on it before setting to work, buffing and polishing the table surfaces. He attacked them with a vengeance, working scuffs and dried gunk off.

When he finished with the first table, he moved onto the next...repeating the process of spraying the rag and rubbing down the tables. He'd even doubled back and started wiping at the chairs. Those totally got dirty, too...Just like the ones he'd cleaned in the Healer's waiting room. Ugh...Dylan would never forget that. The smells! Luckily, nothing really had an odor here...It was just things needing to be picked up than actually scrubbed clean.

After finishing with that, he eyed the bucket and sponge...

Time to scrub more floors.

Every since the quidditch party Clement had been kind of nervous. The dementors had been in the common room. That meant that they could get anywhere. That was scary. He didn't want to get his soul sucked out. But he did need to get into there. He couldn't mooch around the castle all the time. Anyway the dementors would get anywhere. They would still get him anyway. He sighed, wandering into the common room. Oh Look. Dylan was over there. Cleaning again? What was with this guy and cleaning?

"Still cleaning Captain?" He murmured, walking over to the older boy. Maybe he would join in. Two hands got work done faster right?

Getting back down on his knees, he dipped the scrub brush into the cleaning-solution-type water and then started working his way across the floor. It was mindless and he just kinda stared at the tiles as he cleaned them...Really, how had it gotten so dirty? Didn't anyone know how to cast a good scourgify spell anymore?

Scruuuuuuubing....

...and then there was a voice. Odd...

Slightly startled, Dylan looked up to see Clement Belrose...kinda just chilling...and he was offering to help. Well, now that the dude had mentioned it...."I'm almost done here...but I might need some help in the dorm if you're down." In fact, that might be a big help, actually....now that he thought of it...

He leaned back down, putting more muscle into his chore. It'd be like the floors in the common room he'd just polished. Once he finished scrubbing, he charm them...and the charm the tables and chairs....Yep, this place was going to look amazing once he got finished...

Finally scrubbing the last bit of dirt away, Dylan stood, dropped the brush back in the bucket and cleared it away. The he was vanishing all the excess stuff that he been left behind by those Slytherins working on their Galdrs here...and then he moved onto the actual polishing...

"Poliotus!" Tracing the 'S' and stuff that went along with that particular charms, Dylan tore through everything in the room. No table, chair, or surface was left unpolished...

The Captain was a mad man, really. Messes...Just didn't like them...As for right now, though...he was done.

Time to move upstairs.

"You coming with?"

Clement had kind of been wanting the boy to say no. But no. That did not happen. Oh he was moving up stairs. Ahh. To the dorms. Actually that sounded good to him. He did like sleeping somewhere that was clean after all. Clement couldn't actually remember if he'd made his bed this morning. Opps. "Sure." He murmured nodding at Dylan. Well he couldn't really say no now that he had offered after all. Because he as good like that.

"Looks better clean...." He commented, nodding as he watched Dylan.

For the business of staining his runic wand...Dylan had purchased some dragon blood resin by owl order...He didn't know what was best to use...but he loved using dragon's blood in potion and had gravitated towards keeping up with that trend. Also, he felt it was kinda unique to him...Since dragons had become his 'thing' or whatever.

Sat at the Slytherin Study tables, he pulled out the small bottle and went about breaking the seal on it. MMMMMM. FRESH...

Not really sure how to apply it, Dylan used his hand...laying out parchment paper first so that he didn't making a mess on these tables he'd just meticulously cleaned for the defense assignment. Nope...Definitely didn't want to make a bloody mess...No more cleaning for him at the moment...

Scooping up a bit onto his fingers, he dribbled it along the carved runic wand...making sure that it fell evenly. He didn't want the color to be weird or whatever...So, Dylan was careful about keeping it at a steady pace...He kept up with this until it covered the whole of the wand, slowly and gently dribbling it along the way. Once he'd coated the whole wand he'd left it to naturally dry, corking the rest of the blood resin and moving to clean his fingers.

Once all that had been taken care of...the Slytherin pulled some fresh parchment and carefully wrapped the runic wand up...It was time to go to the Runes classroom. There was some beeswax with his name on it.
