Nerida raised an eyebrow was that really a smart idea attacking a creature and then having that creature attack you since you attacked it. Yeap, probably not a good idea to attack a wild and dangerous creature that can kill you possibly. The Ravenclaw's hand hit the red button this time and waited for the next question.

Laura looked at the buttons in front of her and pressed the Green button seriously she would have to do something before getting eaten, she expected something to happen but nothing did, so she pressed it again and again and again and again, she pressed it like 5 times before stopping, hers was broken, she looked at the red button and gingerly pressed that once nothing happened. "Professor my buzzers are broken." Laura spoke. "nothing is happening look." Laura pressed both buttons twice at the same time to show the Professor. "See look." Laura sighed, why did she always get the broken ones.

He had his eyes closed while has palm was still covering the button. He took a deep breath, waiting for the thing to zap him when nothing happened. He heard a DING and when he opened one of his eyes he stared at the button.

HE HAD IT RIGHT?! woohoo! This game was getting more fun~

The Slytherin let go of the button and listened to the next question. Another tricky one... Well, Red had saved him once maybe it will save him twice? Aaaand BAM! he smashed the red button.

Attack? No. Nonono. Dangerous creatures had mothers and fathers. They had goals and dreams. They deserved a chance to properly live. Mo would much rather take a creature in or share a bowl of ice cream... Not attack. Never attack.

He gasped and pulled the buzzer out of his hair, giving those around him choosing green the sort of look that is reserved for puppy kickers and baby pinchers. He chose RED.

ZAPPED?

Theo flinched back and held his buzzing hand for a moment. It didn't hurt as much as his reaction gave off, but still, he didn't like it. After giving the professors a hard frown, he knew that the next question would get MUCH more thought. Thankfully, it was an obvious one. Attack a creature? What kind of moron would do that?

Theo pressed the red button quickly and pulled his hand back to cradle.

OOPS.

Tobias was being eyed.

The boy let out a little gasp as he saw Professor James looking at him and accidentally made eye contact with her. He gave a sheepish and 'okay-guilty-but-look-how-innocent-I-am' smile until she focused on the next student.

Arrrgghhh, but this next question was super hard as well, and Tobias bit his lip as he looked between the two buzzers. He didn't want to attack ANY creatures. And he was actually pretty sure that it was much safer to not attack or fight it off 'cause he was a first year and couldn't do magic AND if he fought it off then it would just be roaming free.

But at the same time these seemed to be trick questions and Tobias wasn't keep on the zap (though he was curious about what it would feel like... except not THAT curious).

To solve his problem, Tobias exaggeratedly pretended to pressed the red button, shuffling his body a tiny bit as he did so to maybe sorta hopefully disguising the fact that the button wasn't pressed and everything.

Then he smiled to himself because he totally thought he'd cracked the system.

Wasn't she just designed for tricky situations? Hmm? Well, the school can now be totally confident to have students such as herself who so far were awfully good with making decisions. Yeah. She wasn't that modest as she looked. Wouldn't hurt to feel proud, no?

Anyway, next question by Professor James. Cassia listened intently.

Dangerous and wild magical creature? Well, dangerous and wild being the keywords. Cassia didn't need to think of this much. Why attack something dangerous knowing that your attack was weak or the spell missed, the creature will be right on you. She wanted to stay alive thank you very much.

Again, she pressed on the red button. Nope, she didn't agree.

When Dylan felt the ZAP!, he rolled his eyes in an obvious manner. Seriously...he'd felt worse. In fact, he'd fallen off his broom and had hit the ground before. This was nothing in comparison to that.

Not that it wasn't an uncomfortable feeling. It defo wasn't pleasant...

Meh.

The next question was just as tricksy and misleading as the first. Dylan had eyes for Professor James. The answer was OBVIOUS to him...because really, who would attack a dangerous animal when they could just get away? It was plain stupid...and something a Gryffindor would do.

He pressed the RED BUTTON. "I'd send a patronus to Professor Barlow...and stay put...a safe distance away, mind...so that I could make sure it didn't run off and maul someone."

Zapped?

Welp. That was an interesting sensation. Ella shook out her hand and focused on Professor James, her head tilted to the side. What was the next question again?

BLINK. Attack a creature? O__o Dangerous or not, you don't just attack a creature. Some creatures were just dangerous by nature but that didn't mean you went around trying to fight with the thing. Merlin.

RED. RED. RED. Ella did not agree.

The red head was participating, but quiet she was. She was slightly upset that the seminar was not what it was meant to be, and she could have rather used this time to study on subjects than listen to a safety lecture, but hey the Professor's probably worked on this and never mind feeling bad maybe some safety tips were good.

With caution she eyed the two buttons. This whole zapping thing was a bit harsh, but harsh ways were maybe sometimes the best way to learn? Pout. Ness still didn't like it and it was because of that she thought twice before touching her buzzers.

Pout. Attack a creature or not? Well first of all the eighteen year old knew she'd never be in that situation, because she was never a fan of most magical creatures and the only time she'd go near them was during class or when she had to. But if this did happen on the like one percent chance it would, what would she do? Fight it? ....Maybe...if her life depended on it...but then no...because most of the time calling a Professor for help was the better option...or maybe it wasn't. Her magic was good enough, you know? Seventh years weren't little.

Hmmmmm...on second thought. If you didn't anger the creature with magic in the first place. You'd be more safe no? Probably. RED button for the red head then.

Yeah, He was right three and the five presses. Awesome. The Zaps were pretty awesome to. Better than this boring "seminar". So back to the question. He was Ravenclaw. He would at least have to know what kind of creature it was. So it could either be resistant to magic or be to strong. So back to the good old strategy. BOTH BUTTONS.

Nigel pressed the green button about ten times and the red one about three times.

Let see what happens . It was one more button press than the Alice. Nigel was at least bored enough to have a competition.

Wonder if you can break the button?

ZAP? What? That was STUPID. West stared. STARED. OBVIOUSLY he wouldn't run away because... he was West Odessa, but they'd totally tricked him into agreeing it was the best choice because of how the question was phrased. And for this next one? He wasn't pressing anything. Because it was stupid and not fair and the questions weren't even straight forward so they couldn't have a straight up agree or disagree answer.

And he was still unhappy about the Quidditch thing.

He frowned and just watched, far too literal minded for this sort of test.

Bad news for her. It promptly flashed red each time she hit it, with a brilliantly painful ZAP! ZAP! ZAP ZAP! ZAP! ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP! for each press.

It was working all right. Her hand was likely too numb by now to tell.

"Oh it's working all right, I can tell," the redhead responded airily. "If you aren't getting zapped then you must be doing something right." That was probably hard for her to understand, the brat that she was. "And no... no absolutely may NOT bring a dangerous creature into this castle under ANY circumstances." No no no no no no no no. The redhead gave her a sterrrrrn look and solemn shake of the head.

ZAAAAAAAAP! The buzzer turned ruby red with her long press. Zap! Zap! Zap! Zap! Zap! Zap! Zap! It sent shocks to her hand as proof that yes, it was working.

The buttons were unbreakable but the students' hands were not. Anastasia wasn't sure how much electricity they were sending out, either, having been wary to test them herself.

"You're not required to participate," Bunz called out, just speaking in general to ah, everyyyyyyyone, "but I WAS going to give out house points to those who do." The kids needed a little something to make up for the lack of Mackenzie at this seminar.

Moving on, time to explain that question. "What were looking for there was something along Captain Montmorency's answer. You should send for help, if you can, but you shouldn't need to run away or blatantly ATTACK the creature. If you need to defend yourself, that's fine, but remember that most magical creatures won't harm you if you don't harm them." She gave the group a stiff nod.

Next question. She delivered in a tone of voice similar to... oh, Alexa Cambridge?

"Prefects and Quidditch Captains don't know more than I do. I should not listen to them and should always act in my own best interests instead."

Another tricky one.

The only prefect/captain that Theo listened to was Dylan for obvious reasons, and he certainly didn't think that they knew more than he did. Especially a certain Head Boy... but he didn't want to get buzzed again. He let out a soft grumble and pressed the green button. NO WAIT - he meant the red one. THE RED ONE. Theo clicked that one quickly after and hoped that they would disregard the first one.

Total accident.

Well, typically anyone could know more than Prefects and Captains, but they represent the School and were picked by the Professors to do so. This was a fairly easy question. Jory rang in by pressing his red buzzer.

She still was flat out refusing to touch those buttons. Mainly because she wasn't sure which one was to agree and which was to disagree. The next question from the headmistress had her smirking though. They knew better? SNORT, yeah she knew better than to believe that. She completely agreed with that but just sat watching others get zapped answer the question.

Wait??? Did she just say the prefects and captains don't know more than she did? Snorting aloud, she covered her mouth, yeah Zoe definitely disagreed that the captains and prefects didn't know more than the headmistress.

Now this was a trick question. Actually they all were. But so far she'd been answering awesomely like the awesome person she was. And as for this one, she paused considering the question. Would the Prefects and the captains know better? Ummm...Well, they might have been chosen for this role? Maybe. She wasn't told why they were chosen actually.

"Well, last year they told us the trophies were stolen and it turned out as a joke," She commented before pressing down on the green button.

How does she know when are they joking and when not? Better to trust her own instincts.

Laura couldn't believe her hand was hurting like crazy. "OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Laura shook her hands trying to relieve the pain in her hands "Professor my hand is hurting like crazy." Laura couldn't believe what was going on with her hand, she listened to the next question and pressed the red button once, praying she was right, her hand was killing her.

Tobias jolted in surprise as the professor-but-actually-headmistress lady called him out and he blushed slightly and kind of fumbled with the buzzers in his hands, eventually dropping them lightly on the floor.

Okay... maybe he wasn't as sneaky as he'd thought.

Probably a good idea to play along, Tobias thought as he positioned the buzzers so he could easily access them, one per hand, and then listened to the next question.

Oh that was EASY. Clearly they were supposed to press the red button because as students they were SUPPOSED to do what people in authority told them. Tobias poked his tongue between his teeth slightly and raised his hand ready to slam it onto the green buzzer (to show he was actually properly pressing it, ehehe) when he paused.

These questions seemed to be worded funny in a way that could trick them and Tobias couldn't always work out HOW they were being tricked until they explained it. He looked nervously at the green button too and withdrew his hands to think.

They hadn't mentioned teachers or the head boy and girl? Was that the trick? They didn't have a specific situation to apply this to. And also maybe they had to factor in that prefects and quidditch captains were kids too and didn't automatically know what to do just because they had a badge, right? Sometimes it really was a lot better to do what YOU thought was best for you. Or maybe this was one where they were really actually supposed to hit the one that sounded like the right answer. Gah it was so hard to think.

Tobias looked up, his face in a sliiiiiiight pout (which he soon corrected), and then frowned slightly. "We don't have enough context to answer the questions properly. They're like trick questions," he pointed out, and was impressed that he was managing not to whine or anything, but kept his voice quite matter of fact. He also managed to hold back from pointing out the unfairness of withholding certain information and whatnot.

But there was still the issue with the question, and he did want points after all... but Tobias had no idea, so he used the only method for solving dilemmas that he knew...

"Eeniemeeniemineymo, catchafishiebyit'stoe, ifitwriggleslethimgo, eeniemeenieminey-"

SLAM his hand went, onto the green buzzer.

Mika just snorted when she heard the next question. It was debatable as always, seeing that the Prefects and Quidditch captains were older students...they should know more? But they were from all of the houses and, well...the only Quidditch Captain and Prefect she really listened to were those in her own house. Taking her buzzer she began a huge game of button mashing. She press press press press press press press press pressed the red button many many times...almost twenty.

Finally, Forrest told to himself and mentally patted his back. At last he got one correct. He wondered how many questions he could get correct if he kept pressing the red button. Surely it wouldn't be any worse than his current statistics that stood at 50%... hmm...

He giggled at the way Lady Headmistress spoke it out, though his giggle died away too quickly because he realised he was laughing at the headmistress. Well, not laughing at her but--. Ahem.

Lex's hand flew off the buzzer almost immediately but she was grinning again. By now she was almost so giddy that she never heard the woman's response. Something about not bringing the creature in...something like that...maybe. Eh.

She wanted to start pressing it again but first...she reached for her bowl and with a shaky hand, helped herself to a few more spoonsful. Ah, much better. Now her hand got some rest while the Headmistress explained why they couldn't keep it and what they should have done instead. Did this mean she couldn't keep the thestral?

"Prefects and Quidditch Captains don't know more than I do. I should not listen to them and should always act in my own best interests instead."

"This sounds vaguely familiar." She mused, hand already hovering over the GREEN buzzer. "How'd you know???" GRIN. Lex slammed down on the buzzer a few more times to drive her point across. Press. Press. Press. Press. Press. Her hand was beginning to protest but this was too much fun!! Press. Press. Press. Press.

Bloody idiots definitely didn't know more than her. She could make her own decisions and didn't NEED anyone but Genevieve Branxton telling her what to do.

This question probably depended on the person but seeing as she was a Captain and she hoped her team would trust her with things, she pressed the RED button. Not that she thought she knew more than anyone. She just figured that the student leaders were appointed leaders because the adults thought they could handle the pressure of certain situations and she hoped they would be respected and listened to if they were trying to instruct people on what to do. Shrug.

Nigel was basically numb to the buzzer now. Now onto the next question. Nigel were sure some Captains and Prefects were smarter than him. But that required Debate. He did not blindly trust authority. Not a good way to live.

Nigel pressed Green six times and then red five times.

Anyway, the next one made him smirk. Could the Slytherin add some of them...NOT NAMING NAMES...shouldn't ever be listened to? Would that have been considered rude?
