Seminar I
|
HOP. HOP. HOP. Alexa hopped into the room ready to hear about Quidditch by the prettiful man teaching it!! She was sooooooooooo ready for this seminar because she had her candy bag slung over her shoulder and a HUGE bowl of ice-cream in hand. This was how one geared up to learn. Sugar. 'Cept...."Why are there red lines over Mr. Pretty Man's face?" She asked to no one in particular and was he late??? She could see some professors were there; they must have wanted to learn too--even the Headmistress!!! They all got a wide GRIN before she picked a cushion and plopped down. Her ice-cream would keep her happy til he got here and it started. Mhm. No problem. |
So there was supposed to be a cool Quidditch seminar with an actual Montrose Magpies player...but this didn't seem like it. Because it was apparently cancelled. Hm. Oh well. Probably shouldn't really be that surprising considering things. Maybe it would still be interesting? "Hi, Professors," she greeted them before plopping down on a random empty cushion. |
Star athlete. DID YOU HEAR THAT? Some really pretty-faced Professional Quidditch Player was going to have a seminar here at Hogwarts. As a budding Quidditch star, Kat felt she was obliged to attend it. She was actually very interested in this, and also... she wanted to play Professional too. You know, after graduation. She was hoping on getting scouted by any team... except for Chudley Cannons. Any team but them. Kat had high expectations about teams, just for the record. And then she entered... and STARED at everything. Cancelled?! Wh... What? There must be an explanation to this. Kat was really looking forward to meeting that Magpie dude but... ?!?! This was totally unfair. Kat refrained from making any violent reactions, so instead she let out a deep breath. "Hello professors... Headmistress," Kat said and gave each of them an acknowledging nod before sitting on one of the... cushions. ... Obviously better than nothing. |
Forrest didn't even know what the seminar would be about, but he still headed towards the room, because he'd heard it from older students that it would be fun and great and epic. Nobody would like to miss any of that. But as he approached, he saw the 'Cancelled' stamps all over the posters and frowned to himself. Should he return? Hmm... seeing Alexa there, he decided to sit--if she was here, it meant it would be epic nonetheless. He didn't sit next to her though--no need to embarrass her, she sure wanted to sit with her cool friends, so... going to the back of the room, he plopped down on a cushion and started to wait. |
EXCITING. Theo had been excited all day for this. A class being held by a famous Quidditch athlete... how... inspiring. The Slytherin bounced into the room and looked around anxiously. His eyes were drawn to that familiar poster with a big red word printed on it. CANCELLED? Theo strode closer to it and GLARED. Well, that was just great. Was this a good excuse to go back to the dorms? Then again, famous star or not, a lesson about Quidditch was still better than any regular lessons. He gave a grumpy look at the four professors standing at the front, then sat on a cushion. One of them was the headmistress, though, so his frown lightened a little. |
Jory stared at the Cancelled that was plastered over the guy's face that was supposed to be there. The star athlete wasn't going to be there anymore? Well that was disappointing! He looked around. There were the Professors and Headmistress. "Hello, Professors, Headmistress,'' the Puffer said on his way to sit on one of the cushions. Might as well stick around. |
Cassia didn't play Quidditch. Nope. But that didn't mean she wasn't coming. Because on the noticeboard it said that a star was coming! And Cassia wanted to see the star. To see how stars were. She might become one herself one day. Who knows. Might as well be familiar with the way stars are. She thinks ahead, she got half of her future thought out. She was that awesome. To the great hall she headed excitedly. It was exciting you know. Finally gonna take a break from their professors....no offense. But you know, change is good. The snake entered the room near the Great hall, after peering inside and not getting a very clear look. But hold on. What were the four Professors doing here. Probably wanted to see the star. Understandable. No, hold on another time. The blond stood staring at the poster that had that word on it. Cancelled. Was this a trick?! Oh classy. Tricking the students into coming to bore them with whatever they had in mind. Can she leave? Like go out through the door. Would that be considered rude and disrespectful. Fiiiiiiine she'll stay. Hopefully there'd be something interesting. The fourth-year grabbed a cushion dropped it to the floor then plopped down and crossed her legs. Waiting. |
Excited about hearing more about quidditch and meeting a quidditch player, Zoe headed into the classroom. Stopping midstep as she noticed the words cancelled on the posters she looked around and nearly walked back out when she saw four professors standing there instead and after noticing the headmistress was there decided she definitely better not leave! Moving silently she waved with a smile to each of the professors before finding a seat on one of the cushions. |
Nigel hated The Montrose Magpies. Maybe it had to do with them winning five more championships then his favorite team. But still this guy was a professional quidditch player. Might was well learn something from him while he was here. Expect he was not here, Nigel learned walking into the seminar. There was a big red cancelled through his poster. So that is why Professor Botros, James, Romanos, and Headmistress Truebridge were here. Though Nigel only heard of James playing Quidditch for the horrible Arrows. Nigel took a cushion in the back. So if the Magpie was not here. What were they here for then? |
Quote:
Waving at Cassia, she picked a cushion next to Theo and nudged him a bit with her shoulder, smiling before she turned her eyes to the professors quizzically. "Hello, professors." What did theeeeey have in store for them today? |
Yeah, alright. Quidditch lesson was legit, especially if it was about the psychology of the game and KINETICS. Well. That was Muggle science, it was. Mo practically leapt through the door, only to spot professors in the classroom. Well, AB-BOT. His favorite! And James was there... So disappointing, obviously, but still interesting. Mo glanced around for a spot before dropping into the seat beside Dora. Both Dora and Theo got a polite nod. 'Sup. |
That.. was not Colin MacKenzie. There was no highly anticipated player for the Magpies that Alice had been expecting, nor were there.. any kind of actual players, really. Except Professor James for the Arrows. Could Botros even get on a broom? She didn't want professors, though, she wanted a professional Quidditcher. After nearly SKIPPING into the room with excitement and noticing the big red letters scrawled across the poster, all enthusiasm vanished. No Colin MacKenzie. And Mo was in her seat. That spot next to Dora was hers, okay? Scowling slightly at the professors at the front, she crammed a cushion in between him and her best, sitting down crosslegged and trying not to sulk. |
Blink. That...wasn't a pretty Quidditch man. Nope. Not to say that Botros wasn't a pretty man in his own right but still, Ella was confused. Hm. Shrugging it off, the sixteen year old gave the staffers a small smile and greeted them cheerfully. "Hello, nice to see you." Y'know, even if she was completely confused as to why she was seeing them. The blonde then went off and grabbed herself a cushion, getting comfy on the floor. What in Merlin's beard was this mix going to teach them today? Whatever it was, it sure would be more interesting with some ice cream. Just saying. |
THE Colin MacKenzie!! Blue had been over the moon when she'd heard about him coming to teach a seminar. Not that she was an avid fan of the Montrose Magpies or anything. She was a fan, however, of very attractive successful Quidditch players. She'd even hunted for yonks through her Quidditch magazines for a picture in hopes he might do a signing at the end of the class, a picture she was now hugging tightly. She had crossed her fingers and her toes that he'd write 'love Colin MacKenzie'. Then this fourth year could surely die happy. So clearly she was NOT impressed to see old Botros instead. Her nervous-slash-excited smile fell to be replaced with a wrinkled nose at the 'CANCELLED' ruining the Quidditch player's face. The nerve! No they were certainly not getting smiles or 'good days'. Not after crushing a little fangirls DREAMS. Blue flopped down onto a cushion beside Cassia, jerking her head in acknowledgement. "Hi." That was it. Her mood had soured so much that she wasn't even going to beam at her co-worker. HMPH. |
Nerida stopped after entering the room...Wait where was Colin Mackenzie? Canceled? Oh well maybe next time. "Hello Professors and Headmistress." Why did the professors look so serious, it made it seem like something was going on. The blonde gave each of them a smile and headed towards a cushion. She wondered what the mix of Professor's were going to teach them. It had to be good, since it had three professors and the headmistress! |
Well, maybe it wasn't a speaker for the Karasjok Kites, you know that team that Wade would have loved to get an autograph from. But maybe his little cousin Luc will accept an autograph from this one.. or not. As Wade entered in, he saw the change in the poster and well, his Professors and Headmistress before them and not a professional Quidditch player. "Hello Professors and Headmistress." Greeting with a smile before he went to take a cushion seat. He wondered what was going to be talked about today, but all he could do for now was to get comfortable and not doze off. |
...That was not a professional Quidditch player. No, those were four Hogwarts professors. Jake's previously excited demeanor sizzled out to one of mild interest. So that was what the sign meant by 'cancelled.' The Gryffindor walked into the room, giving a half-smile to the row of adults at the front. "Professors," he greeted with a nod, "Headmistress." With that, he took a seat on a cushion on the floor. |
COULD YOU TELL HE WAS EXCITED? COULD YOU? REALLY? GRIN. Having eaten quite a large portion of ice cream, Alec was practically bouncing his way over towards the place where the Seminar was meant to be held. This... was what he was meant to be thinking about. Quidditch. Career options. It was the right time to start going over these things, yeah? And QUESTIONS! He had LOTS of those! They were all safely tucked away in his brai- ... ... BLINK. BLINK. STARE. What? No. Cancelled?! The Quidditch dude wasn't coming? Trying his hardest not to frown, Alec peeked into the room to see that there were four Professors standing at the front. And no sign of the dude. That... well... the sixteen year old was slightly disappointed. He didn't mind the idea of being taught these things by the Professors of Hogwarts but this had been something he had been REALLY looking forward to. Especially since Quidditch was up there in his list of career options. ... Yeah... could he get some ice cream and then come back? The thought of ice cream did bring back the boy's signature grin and he decided to head further into the room instead. There was still ice cream in the world. Life was still AWESOME. "Hello Professors!" he said, grinning at them and heading over towards an empty cushion to sit down on. Now... important questions first. If the dude wasn't coming, could they get ice cream instead? Or alongside this talk that the Professors and Headmistress were giving? He'd REALLY like that! |
A SEMINAR ABOUT QUIDDITCH THIS WAS SOOOO EXCITING!!! And that guy was on her dad's favourite teaaam! Ugh this was so exciting... MAYBE HE KNEW WHO HER GRANDFATHER WAS! Though in all honest, Derry wasn't sure who her grandfather was. Just that he'd played professional quidditch for a while... probably wasn't even well known or anything. Derry sped up to the room but skidded to a halt when she saw the poster... with the big cancelled sign... Nooooo. That was... NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Cue dramatic face-fall, body slump, change-of-mood style thing. Derry was going to turn away, but she caught sight of the other professors... maybe something else good would happen. So she sulked herself over to everyone else and managed a smile. "Hi Professor...s..." she said, looking around in the crowd... various people she knew.. but she wasn't sure if they were allowed to chat or anything or if they just had to wait. So she waited. |
*grabbing Jakey-love* Dylan was READY for this seminar. As a Quiddltch player and Captain, he obviously wanted to meet a professional. Not that famous people affected him...or whatever... Wait. Cancelled?! Instead of the Montrose Magpies' guy...there were Professors. Not even Professors from different places. Just....theirs...and the Headmistress. Well, this wasn't nearly as exciting... Instead of saying anything, though...he grabbed a cushion and sat near Jake, offering a bro!nod. Sup? Ahem. "Headmistress. Professor Romanos. Professor Botros. Professor James." Sigh. |
The seat beside her did belong to Alice, but she was friends with Mo too and didn't mind him sitting beside her either. She smiled at him in return and glanced around the classroom idly, still patiently waiting for the lesson to start (cause it was going to be interesting for sure, right?) when Alice came and forcibly reclaimed the seat beside her. Well. Right, it WAS her seat, but still.... Alice got a few curious blinks in her direction before the fourth year shrugged it off. She could always ask later what it was her friend was so ill about. |
Was Sky surprised that the Magpie's guy had been cancelled? Not really, considering the school's budget crisis. Why they hadn't been told before now was the more surprising thing. So, when she stepped into the seminar room, it was with a curious expression on her face. Which quickly changed into a somber one when she saw the looks on the professor's..... and Headmistress' faces. Uh oh, this couldn't be good. Maybe they were finally addressing the ice cream problem? She could only hope. "Hello, professors, Headmistress." And taking a seat on a cushion now. |
This was going to be awesome! She was going to learn about quidditch and learn some tips, tricks, maybe even some that would help her be a better player! Eliza already had her notebook out as she trotted down to the room. However, the giant poster on the door where a quidditch player's face used to be highly visible, there was now a very LARGE red 'cancelled' across it. But....but what's going to happen now? Is there still a seminar of some sort? Eliza peeked into the room and saw several of her professors and the headmistress standing at the front, as well as dozens of cushions on the ground. Okay...so this looks like...nap time? Story time? Something comfy sitting on the floor time? She walked lightly inside and nodded at the adults, giving them all a collective and cheery, "Good day to everyone!" Just because the quiddich guy wasn't going to be here, didn't meant that this wouldn't be fun, right? Maybe we'll even have ice cream while we listen! Like how we did at the book club meeting! That would be great!! She was pretty hopeful about that and kept a big happy look plastered on her face as she took a seat on one of the floor cushions. |
CANCELED? West's heart was BROKEN alright? Seriously. SERIOUSLY. He looked stricken as he found a cushion and dramatically flopped to the ground like all possible enthusiasm and energy had been drained from him. At least it was professors that he liked? But no, even that couldn't put a smile on his face. The fifteen year old sighed quietly and waited.... ... seriously he'd been looking forward to this for WEEKS. |
