Stepping outside into the school grounds the night is dark and the wind whistling is the only sound you hear. The cold breeze does not help much either, better keep warm and close as you walk along a path lighten dimly with fire torches. It is likely you may feel spooked, but fear not, soon you will reach your destination. After walking for a few minutes, you begin to see more than just the forest borders and the surrounding grass. Even though the light is to a minimum, you are still able to see what is before you.
To your right there are round tables with numerous chairs at each. There is a buffet table that unlike the rest of the tables is long and rectangle as well as filled with various baked goods to choose from which includes scary looking foods such as mud cups, assortedcreepy cupcakes, finger biscuits and jello brains. Eat them if you dare, but do remember this food comes at a price. If you do not pay the jar in the center table 5 sickles, you cannot retrieve any food as it will literally be as if it has been glued to the table. So please pay, we do not ask of too much. Right beside these tables you see an open area of grass that has been filled with sitting stands. This is for you to observe the obstacle participants as they attempt their fearlessness at various stations. You are welcome to grab a seat and cheer your mates on.
The obstacle course, that is on the left across from the seating and viewing area, has four different stations; The Bertie Botts Challenge, The Cockroach Cluster Race, The Chocolate Frog Surprise Pie and The Glue-on-Goo. Each just as exciting as the other and they will each test your fear in various different ways. Of course these too are not for free. At each station there is a turnstile that charges you 2 sickles to play, but if you are wise you will notice that there is a fifth turnstile at the entrance to the obstacle course that is for the course as a whole, as well as it charges 7 sickles for all four obstacles rather than 2 per station.
Are you brave enough to take the challenge or are you here to just watch? Whatever you choose, stay fearless and do enjoy.
The not-so-creepily (infact adorably) dressed Mika had added the five sickles into the container and looked around at everyone. She sent Forrest a BIG smile, because he looked a little nervous. Or scared, she couldn’t tell which but she was glad to see the little Hufflepuff there. She did smile when she heard him outwardly express his pleasure in whatever he was eating.
Oh god…wa-was that a spider. Spiders weren’t food. Why were the cupcakes shaped like Spiders? Her eyes widened as she stood there and she made a slight gurgling noise of someone gulping back their fear.
“No no no no no no no not cool” she muttered and shook her head as she glanced at the cupcake. “a-are they g-good…d-do they t-taste like spiders” she asked the fear causing her to ask. Seriously why would they make a spider-flavored cupcake?
When she glanced up however she spotted Pie-boy...wearing. "THE DOCTOR?" she squeaked out and pointed. She was pointing. Pointing wasn't nice. Looking around and pretending she hadn't just yelled at Nash she just grabbed a spider cupcake and well...poked her fork into it. "Die spider...DIE! So I can eat you." GRIN she was going to eat her fear.
And wait...was she shaking?
SOMEONE CALLED HIM THE DOCTOR! Oh my time lords! His first victim. That voice, it was...well it had to be Miiiika. SHE CAN BE HIS COMPANION!Nashville turned on his heel towards Miiika, straightening his galaxy looking bow tie. "'Ello. Lovely night, eh?" Nashville smiled down at the tiny blonde. "I saw and heard that! No pointing. Didn't your mummy teach you not to point! Geez Louise, rude I tell you, rude." He had gotten taller since he was here at Hogwarts, maybe an inch or two. So he had to be even closer to siiiiiix feet by now. So two inches taller would make him five foot ten. Yoooowzza.
Die? Who was dying? Dying was NO good. PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT DYING! A spider? "YOU DO NOT UNDER ANY EVENT SCREAM DIE IN PUBLIC!" That was that, though he was joking, it was a joking tone and manner. Gross, eating a spider? Real or edible form is just nasty.

Kirby Darling was just here to watch. Yep. She had no intention what so ever to take part in this .... thing. Not yet anywaay. Pulling her jacket closer to herself, the girl made her way to the grounds.
Ooo, there was food and everything. Clearly the prefects went all out. Kirby was fan of good entertainment and she did not mind applauding for those who worked so hard to get it done for her.
It was pretty spooky - not really keen on being there alone, she snagged a seat right away, next to a boy - not caring whoo it was. It was hard making out his face, in the dark - unless he would look directly at her. "Hello," so she said, curious to see his face.
The fourth year was fiddling with his hat left and right not because it made him look any more attractive where it was situated on his head but moreso because he was bored. SO heinously bored and since the events hadn't started and his peers were still pretty much in tact, he didn't care much for the cocktail hour. Because of all of this, he kept his arms crossed over his chest and his back leaning into the chair he was sitting in. Cool pose, yeah? Smirk. That was rhetorical.
As he grew lost in his thoughts about things, he heard someone slip into the seat beside him and Ascanius sat up just slightly. Not much though, he had to keep this whole thing going, yeah?
Turning his head to the side, the boy smirked over at his companion and easily remarked, "Hello yourself, beautiful." He put his hand out to shake hers as was customary, "I'm Ascanius." Once he said his name, the boy turned his attention back to the events.
Kaiden headed towards the event, ready for some awesome things. After all, with the name, things should be scary. Not scary like girl things, but proper scary. He was also looking for a certain someone, because it would be fun to be scared together. And to maybe do some kissing. Spotting the girl's back up ahead, he grinned, and hurried to her, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Hey."

Mika blushed when she felt Kaiden’s hand press into her shoulder. She only knew it was him because he had spoken. She was blushing but still managed to choke out a ”Hey” she smiled softly and then she heard an accent…
Oh hey. It was Nash – and he was dressed as the doctor, she just BEAMED at him. The tiny blonde just beamed at him. ”I did nothing” she blinked and beamed again laughing somewhat. Yep, she was in a friendly mood, even if she could feel the tension building (possibly just within her). ”hows it going tall person?” she asked tipping her head up to look at him.
Even if he was shorter than her brother wait, did he just yell? She gasped, laughed, and shrugged. The spider wasn’t alive so it couldn’t die. She was still shaking when she glanced up at Nash and pointed at it. ”Its just creepy…too creepy, you g-guys want to maybe sneak down to the kitchens and eat pie afterwards?” she asked well aware that the two didn’t exactly see eye to eye sometimes.
Still, she wasn’t meaning anything by it, not really. She wasn’t meaning to look like a flirt or anything. But she just wanted to try the spider’s frosting. Dipping her finger into the fudge icing and getting a rather large glob of it on her finger she lifted it up to her mouth and a tentatively licked it.
Then, stuck the entire glob in her mouth. ”its good…its chocolate,” she beamed as she took another swipe of the frosting and ate it.
Finnlay was excited to see this fund raiser having heard about it from his mother when he visited. She couldn’t manage to go and wanted someone to check up on Mika – you know, after hearing about her setting off fireworks thing. Which wasn’t bad – at least she didn’t set a fountain on fire, right?
He had told the girl he had met at the menagerie about it and said he’d like to go with her – since she knew the school more than him. Yeah that was it. Wasn’t anything to do with the fact that she seemed nice and liked dogs or anything?
He dropped not five but ten into the jar for the food. Yep, he was paying for this other girl – he had invited her to go. It didn’t matter if they were going as friends (or not) he was chivalrous.
SMILING Finn looked around the room not only for Emmaleigh but for his sister and gasped when he saw her. What was she doing? Was she? Did she just.
"Amelia Kaikoura Johanson, what are you doing Mika?" he gasped a little too loudly (when he felt like snapping), but he didn't he just stalked slowly closer. Eying the boys his sister was talking to. Someone was going to get themselves shoved in a trunk and taken home with him to be talked to by dad...he thought frowning - though, really, he liked the other kid. He didn't know about the taller one.
He just stood there, staring, like a creepy stalker in the corner. And no, he wasn't a stalker. He was just sitting there, eying his sister eating a cupcake in exactly the way no brother wants to see his sister eat a cupcake.

He spotted the table containing the food and made a beeline for it, but in his great haste to get some food, he barrelled straight into the person that was already standing there.
Ivy was starting to think maybe she should have just stayed inside. Or at least dragged Erik along with her. Shouldn't he be out here, supporting their lovely, darling students like her? Like the wonderful Governor's that they were-
THUD.
Out of nowhere, Ivy felt a sudden, somewhat small, but quite forceful impact on her side. That mixed with a bit of tripping over her own feet (wearing boots with heels was a bad idea but it TOTALLY WASN'T HER FAULT) resulted in the professor falling flat on her bum onto the muddy grass.
"Ruddy children!" she shouted with a little bit of a flail of her limbs, quite possibly smacking one of them into the darn kid that knocked her over.
For anyone ^_^ (mention of Mika, Mo, Penelope and Prof. Hadley...)

Kendall wasn’t scared. At least, she was determined not to show it if she was, just as she was determined to resolutely keep her hair its normal pink-streaked auburn. If that stayed normal, then she had control over everything else. The pathway was heading awfully close to the forest, though, and all that was making her think about was the acromantulas that she knew just had to be hiding in there waiting to come after her like that one from before in the Arithmancy maze years ago. She kept telling herself that she was safe, and she had Patrick’s Batman hoodie to help comfort her too. No acromantulas would invade the prefect event, and nothing at the event would be half as unnerving as the spider-y creatures. She could handle whatever was planned, and in a way, the path was very cool. It set the creepy mood, anyway, and she grinned as it had all opened up into a big area with food and seats and other stuff. She hadn’t quite decided if she was going to try any of the obstacle course things yet, but at least she could watch. With the chocolate that was stashed in her hoodie pockets.
She wasn’t going to completely avoid checking out the food that had been provided, though. She didn’t want to be rude to Beezus and the other prefects, who had probably put a lot of thought into the provisions. Therefore, heading over to the buffet tables, she’d noted Mo talking to a girl she hadn’t met yet, and Mika talking to two boys with an older one not-so-subtly eyeing her as well, almost like she used to imagine Jeremiah did to her when she’d first invited Patrick to Galway. All those suspicions were long past by now. She wondered if her boyfriend was going to make his way out here, anyway, but for now she was on her own and getting ready to find something to munch while she watched the other events. Except she was staying away from the spider cupcakes. Those reminded her too much of baby acromantulas to want to eat them. She leaned over to drop five sickles into the pay station, however, scooping up one of the little wormy mud cups as she reached around Penelope, Professor Hadley and a couple others. “’Scuse me,” she said, giving them a grin. It was still an awesome event, even if there were scary spider cupcakes.

"I'M SO SOR -" The rest of Michael's words were cut off due to the fact that he had just been smacked straight in the gut by a very powerful foot with a killer heel.
He sunk to his knees on the muddy grass beside the Professor clutching at his stomach. Well it cured his hunger pains that's for sure. Michael looked at who he had run into and suppressed the groan that was threatening to come out of his mouth. Of all the Professor's....
"Sorry Professor Knox, I didn't see you there." He got back to his feet and held his hand out to her. "You're just so tiny." Of course she was bigger than he was, but his dad always told him that women loved flattery and to always use it to get out of trouble.

Could they START now, yeah?
"Charming, aren't you," she remarked, shaking her head lightly. And yes, she knew he was. By face, anyway. He played for the Slytherin team, didn't he? But she didn't completely reply on that information - seeming as she did not care for Quidditch at all.
"As-kay-nius", she pronounced. "Am I saying it right?" she asked - it was an unusual name after all. She had not heard it before. "I am Kirby Darling." She introduced herself, taking his hand to shake.
Letting it go, she turned to look ahead too. "You are not participating?" she asked.

But Daichi wasn't someone to back down either...so he had to go through it but...HOW did you defeat someone who was clearly better in magic than you?!
Tapping his finger against the table, the Slytherin turned his gaze towards his shoulder when he felt a small push and his eyes then went to ...Juliet. A true , genuine smile became visible. She was about the only Slytherin that still talked to him. Well, there was also Sonea but she was twelve... He meant students around his age. "Hey Juliet, long time no see" apart from classes he hadn't really spoken to her.
Oh? she liked the event. Good good. He didn't say he had been a slacker to help make this event though. Funny how he and Oakey had been the main source of the event and now ..nothing. "Yeah, they did a great job..i only miss the ice cream" he commented as he looked around.
His black outfit? Daichi looked down at his clothes and blushed slightly. "I..well, i thought that..you know...since its called Fright Fest..and its dark..and...i don't know, do i look stupid?" Gaaaaah worries!
It's been awhile since Juliet has talked to the Slytherin Prefect. She knows that he has been busy with his prefect stuff, studies, homework, this and not to mention the upcoming NEWTs. Totally understandable. But of course today is about them relaxing and enjoying and Juliet is not passing this one up. A gleeful smile curled in her lips. "Long time no see too. You've been busy a lot" she said patting his shoulder with her free hand.
Ice cream? Juliet's eyes immediately scanned for the ice cream that he is talking about. "There WAS ice cream?" her eyes widened and her lips pouted.... and she missed it? sort of?
do i look stupid?
Juliet immediately shook her head, disagreeing to that. "No not at all." she smiled as she took a seat next to the Slytherin Prefect. "I know the theme is scary but I never imagined you in a black dashing suit" she complimented, it's true, the suit is rather dashing. "It suits you, you look nice in it" she added.

He was excited. Because he wanted to see his sister's school. Mike, his hands shoved into his pockets, entered walking next to Tyler as Emilie was on the OTHER side of Ty. They were going to be civil though. It was fun time. He wasn't surprised that he had paid. Because he knew from his sister that the school was broke. Poor them. Also, he had lent Cassia a lot of money. Oh he was getting it all back. When he needs. It was all about timing
The twelve-year old boy was smiling not too wide as his eyes found the obstacles area further away. Not cool to look like a little kid super excited and all. Pfffft. He wasn't that fascinated. "Let's take a seat first, shall we?" He suggested brightly glancing at Ty then his eyes trailed to Em but back to Ty again. He took a couple of steps closer to the tables searching the faces. Maybe he'd find his sister here? He had told her late that he'd come. Because they decided late. "I'm not sure I want to try their food," He commented randomly eyeing the buffet.

Tyler had only been back from the tournament in Japan for a few hours when he was off again to Hogwarts this time. It was his first time being back since he did that one year here but he was definitely glad he transferred out. Hogwarts was definitely subpar in his opinion compared to Durmstrang. But here he was..mostly because he wanted to see his mum. She didn't come home for Christmas and though he'd never admit it to anyone...he missed her.
He entered this Fright fest thing not entirely surprised that they'd have to pay to enter...he heard a lot about the woes. The fifth year shook his head and smirked as his eyes roamed the faces. Since he was already here..it wouldn't be too bad running into Blue either.
He ignored Emilie complaining next to him and instead focused on Mikey."Errr yeah..let's sit" He'd just continue to come the faces.

She looked over and only saw Professor Hadley. And she thought she was...up to something...?
"I am up to something," the Gryffindor replied with a nod. "Figuring out how much I want to eat before trying those game things." It was a very important decision, it was. "Are you up to something, Professor?"
Professor Hadley hadn't been sure what she'd been expecting the Gryffindor to say, but when she confirmed she was up to something, well, it did put the Arithmancy Professor at a slight loss for words. But then she further clarified. "Ah. Well then I've always found it's better to start lightly, with high-protein items." She perused the items on display a moment. "But I don't think anything here fits that. So may as well go for the sugar." Which was everything, pretty much. But wait, what was that?! Penelope rephrased the question back at her?
"Always," Fina said simply, a small twinkle in her eye. "Always."

Just as she answered Penelope, she took a step backward as she saw a hand reach between her and the Gryffindor for a mud cup. "You're excused, Miss Quinn." She said, smiling politely at the older claw. "Those were always my favorite growing up," she confessed quietly, pointing at the cup in her hand. And she should probably go mingle and supervise some of the activities, make sure no one was getting injured or maimed too terribly anyway.

Really? Out of all the places they could go Tyler had chosen Hogwarts? Everyone knew about Hogwarts and it's money problems. To top it all of it was some lame fundraiser, as if Emilie actually wanted to help pay for this pigsty. Tyler had the worst ideas ever, bringing Mikey along to this was another one. She shook her head in disapproval, once she got back to Durmstrang she would tell Piper all about how horrible this place looked. 'What's that smell?' She turned up her nose, maybe her money would go towards air fresheners, that wouldn't be too bad.
She looked down at Mikey and almost smiled when he mentioned trying their food. After checking out the food Emilie decided that Mikey was right, the food might be hazardous. Just another story to add to Hogwarts' reputation. The fifth year snorted, 'they'll probably make you pay extra if you want decent food.'

Was that a smile for Emilie? Oh it was an attempt. He wasn't going to get his hopes up. It wasn't likely that the older girl was going to forget the fight, especially not in here when she was dragged by Tyler, and was obviously, already regretting coming. Though, Tyler seemed to be interpolating the atmosphere more. Probably, because his mother teaches here and all. As the group of three walked, the second-year plopped in a chair in which the table had a good view of the obstacle area. He grinned up at the two, yeah even Em got a grin and motioned for them to sit. "Let's decide where to go!" He said referring to the challenges.
He was here for fun, okay. "I say we try that Pie surprise thing? I like pies. You two d too." He decided for them. "Then we'll see where our feet will take us?" He then waved his hand in front of Tyler's face, "Hey dude, are you here?" Because the older boy was kinda busy looking around. Was he looking for someone? His mother perhaps? "So you guys are ok with that right?" It was a rhetorical question. He wasn't taking no for an answer.
Though, he too now was looking around. Where was his sister? Would he be able to see her. Or worse. See that Lex friend of hers.

Tyler knew that woman. Yes he'd never forget going to her office after the disappointment of being sorted into HufflePuff. She'd went on about sunshine and rainbows and bunnies or something like that but all in all he supposed she helped him to feel better about being stuck in that house for a whole year.
Would she remember him though? He'd go up to her in a sec.
"What's what smell?" Tyler turned up his nose as well and sniffed. "It's just their food...it normally smells like that." He shrugged and shifted uncomfortably.
"Guys lay off..mum teaches here." And he was slipping into protective mode just for that reason. Though not to get him wrong...Hogwarts was still no Durmstrang.
He had to agree with Emilie though, they probably would have to pay more to get decent food. "I have money we can go into Hogsmeade after this thing ends."
Tyler swatted Mikey's hand away. "I'm here I'm here..I'm just looking around to see...if I see anyone I know." He plopped into the seat.
"And what exactly is this pie thing? Do we have to eat it?" Maybe they should get closer...

Piper felt like such a muggle hobo dressed this way. But copying, Emilie, she decided to try and blend in with her surroundings.
She followed behind the Durmstrangers silently, knowing full well Tyler wouldn't be happy about her presence there. He had already made his feelings clear. She didn't care. In fact, knowing Piper, she was probably here purely to annoy him.
Nose in the air, hair flip. Piper Maxwell was free to do what SHE wanted.
And... it would be interesting to see how the lower classes lived would it not?
Emile was right though, there was a funny smell in the air. She wrinkled her nose as she caught up to the Durmstrangers, making her presence known for the first time.
Pies?
Mikey was such a child.
“Surely there's better things to be doing than eating pie.” She muttered to the three.
And what a load of rubbish! Piper could guess exactly why Tyler was here. "He's looking for his mother." She smiled smugly, giving him a look as she twirled a lock of hair between her fingers.

Emilie raised an eyebrow when she noticed Piper following them, looking rather... unusual. 'You look like a boy,' she smirked, this time Emilie was the one who could use that. Where did she even get the clothes..?
She almost felt the need to hug her best friend. At least she wouldn't have to suffer by herself. 'Why are you here?'
Pie...? Emilie did not like pie, apple pie being the exception. Or games that somehow involved pie. It would probably end up being some catastrophe, knowing Hogwarts. But Mikey seemed really eager... She frowned, not that she cared about what he wanted. 'Why don't you go do that pie thing and we'll watch you make a fool out of the Hogwarts kids?' That sounded better, whatever it was Durmstrang could probably do it better.
Finally, Tyler had a good idea. Hogsmeade was okay, it was nice. And that totally wasn't because she went there with Levi. She raised an eyebrow. 'So what if your mother works here? It still smells funny. Durmstrang would never have.... this.' Emilie feigned a yawn, was it time to go back to Durmstrang yet? She shook her head again, they should send most Ucilena kids over here, they would fit right in.

Mike hadn't noticed Piper with them. Mind you he had been to busy looking around and trying to get a better look at the challenges area. Which was FAR away. Though he didn't comment when he saw her. You'd think Emilie was enough of a killjoy. But NO! Dude, how he wished Jeremiah and Byron were here. They'd have had lots of fun! But he had to be with the fifth-years. Hmph. "Well, there's a Cockroach race," He offered to Piper with an oblivious smile. "You should try it," He was going to be glared at big time after this suggestion.
Then back to Emilie, "You come too. You're good at making fool out of people, giraffe." He suggested. "Come on, let's have fun." He said desperately. Did they come here to complain about the smell. Cover your noses or something. -__-
The second-year turned to Tyler his last hope. "Ty, talk with them. Are we here to just sit around," He said pointing at both girls. Tyler would know how to talk them into it....Hopefully? "Let's all go play something. You choose." Now he just sounded pathetic. Then he pushed back his seat and hopped ON IT. He wanted to have a better look. Like a couple of minutes later he hopped off the chair and sat. "I saw four stations. Couldn't read the signs very well, but one says something about Cockroaches," He glanced at Piper. "One about Bertie Bott's. And the pie thingy I spotted earlier," The fourth he couldn't decipher.
Then he turned his gaze to the three older ones, looking at them with shimmering eyes.

Tyler did smell something but it was really just the crappy food. Emilie was being dramatic as per usual. He was soo tempted to just roll his eyes at her and walk away or flick her ear. He could do that. But that would probably start a fight and they couldn't possible start a fight here at another school and bring their own institution into disrepute. He settled wiht just shaking his head at her.
Tyler's head snapped back as a familiar voice resounded in his ear.
Piper...
He hadn't noticed that she'd come along..maybe because he hadn't expected her to. He frowned deeply and buried his hands into the pockets of his pants.
He turned to Mikey."That would be a waste of time. C'mon we'll go see what that cockroach thing is all about. Maybe we'll actually win something if we kick their butts." He then lowered his voice.." And if there are real cockroaches we'll take two back as gifts for the girls." He gave the younger boy a wink and walked off.

Forrest didn't really hear Amelia calling for him--he was that into eating the spider--but after she went hysterics, it was impossible to ignore her. So, after stuffing the last piece of spider into his mouth greedily,he turned to her but she was already talking to someone else. Shrug. He smiled at her nevertheless not to be rude, and then surveyed the other cupcakes as if he hadn't just eaten one. They all looked amazing to him, but he was also curious about the games too, so... better to come here later? Yeah.
With a longing look at the cupcakes, he headed towards the games.

Piper looked down at her clothes and back at Emilie, a small frown crossing her face. “I look like you!” She exclaimed in her frightfully upper-class accent. “Oh, I'm a terrible fright..” Then she smiled a little. “But given the name of this thing, I'm dressed perfectly well.”
Why was she here? What sort of a greeting was that from her best friend? “You people are very unobservant. I followed you all the way here. I could've stolen your wallets and you would have been non the wiser.”*wink* And to answer Emilie's question. “I fancied a trip out. Durmstrang can make one horribly stir crazy.”
She turned her attention to Mikey, an eyebrow raising at his terrible suggestion. Was he suggesting SHE was a cockroach? “I don't like bugs.” She replied with a disgusted expression on her face. “But the Bertie Botts thing sounds interesting." Cockroaches, pie or jelly beans. The latter really was the most appealing.
She smiled at Mikey's words to Emilie and no doubt the girl would take it as a compliment. It was a good job they had Mikey with them. Ironic that the second year was keeping the group organised. Piper gave the boy a smile and nodded. “Come on then. Lets go and have a look around.” No one, not even Queen Piper, could say no to that face.
Well wasn't that a nice greeting? Piper's smile faded and she just looked at Tyler as he did nothing but FROWN at her. She was hurt, but determined not to allow it to show. As he walked off, she was tempted to run after him, but she remained with Emilie, linking arms with her and walking after the boys.
Ooooooh Fright Fest!?!? YES. Kace was so gonna compete in some races and even eat some of the delicious sweets and foods. He was sitting in the area and viewing the event from a birds eye view. He was itching to go down there but the food was even more tempting.
He got the cupcakes and the brains to eat. He loved the jello. It tasted really good. He was smiling and was preparing to go and do the other events once he was done eating.

It was cold, wasn't it?
Secretly wishing he had brought a coat along with him, Alec headed down to the event as quickly as he could. It sort of amused him how spooky everything seemed to be. It was as if the cold and the fire torches were just the icing on the cake that was this event. And this made the boy more excited than scared. A LOT more excited!
Upon reaching the area, the boy GRINNED WIDELY, taking a moment to look around. The Prefects had really outdone themselves this time around, hadn't they? And hey, was that FOOD? He was ALWAYS up for some of that! He grinned some more before heading over towards there and...
STARE.
Chuckle. Spooky food was spooky! Not really. And it sort of reminded him of... zombies. Especially the finger biscuits. Shudder. Trying not to let mental images take over his brain, Alec paid the five sickles and started piling his plate up with a bit of each, even the finger biscuits. His hunger was winning right now, anyways. And he needed to find someone to sit with, yeah? Someone... like...
KACE!
"Hey there, dude! Spooked out, yet?" GRIN. Also, he was just... going to sit down with him, yeah?
"Charming, aren't you," she remarked, shaking her head lightly. And yes, she knew he was. By face, anyway. He played for the Slytherin team, didn't he? But she didn't completely reply on that information - seeming as she did not care for Quidditch at all.
"As-kay-nius", she pronounced. "Am I saying it right?" she asked - it was an unusual name after all. She had not heard it before. "I am Kirby Darling." She introduced herself, taking his hand to shake.
Letting it go, she turned to look ahead too. "You are not participating?" she asked.
Yeah, he was. Ascanius really didn't understand the point of the comment because it was almost an unspoken truth. So he just smirked broadly at her and did not reply to her statement. That way she could take it as she liked and such, which he knew was along the charming vein.
Mostly right, he noted. Just a little off, so he corrected with wink when he was done, "Ah-Sk-A-Knee-Us." But she was close and that was what counted. The fourth year really detested when people butchered his name. Annoying, yeah? So people needed to knock that off in general.
Shaking her hand, he let go of her hand and went back to leaning into his chair, "It's a pleasure, beautiful." Kirby. Interesting name herself. Did she know that? Pfft, yeah, 'course she did. Was her name after all.
"Nope," he shrugged. In fact, he was loitering. It was kind of his thing, yeah?

Awarlesta scanned through the incoming crowds, popping a lollipop into her mouth. It maybe had been 15 minutes since she arrived, but she was eager to see her older brother.
She nearly jumped into space when she recognized a familiar confused face and took off towards him.
Manolo almost fell back when his sister collided with his torso. He embraced her tightly, more than happy to see that his sister seemed to miss him as much as he missed her.
The 21 year-old ruffled his younger sister's hair and handed her some money, "Here, so you can go crazy on the games." He could hardly believe she was turning 14 next month.
Awar smiled big and took the money from her brother, but from right out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a familiar youngster. "Hey, Kace!" She grabbed Manolo's hand and tugged him towards her friend's little brother.

"Hi Awarlesta! How are you?" he asked wiping his hands on his napkin. He didn't wanna hug her with sticky fingers. Kace got up and hugged her tightly. He missed seeing her.

After he hugged Awarlesta, he noticed Alec coming over. Kace BEAMED when he saw his teammate coming over to say hi. Kace smiled when he asked the question. "Yeah i am totally spooked out.." he said sarcastically with a wink. "I have seen scarier back in my town, well actually i do not see a haunted house yet. Once i see one i will then be spooked! How about you dude?" he asked giving him a fist bump as a greeting.
He even saw he had food with him. AWESOME. At least he wont look like a pig eating all this food. "I see you are enjoying the food as well." as he took a bite of his brain of jello.
