The prefects have their own compartment at the front of the train. Sometimes they hold meetings up here and sometimes special guests ride along with them.
Prefects only, please, unless you have been invited in or need assistance!

After tensed parting words and gestures have been exchanged between Beezus and her Aunt, the brunette wasted no time and immediately trudged into the Hogwarts Express. Summer was officially over and the Ravenclaw just wanted to escape everything that came with it, good and bad alike. She knew those things were ineluctable but she just needed a short break. A break that could help her to get her stuff together and divert her attention to the upcoming term.
Apparently she was going to hold the train ride as her ticket to this short break. And she was going to choose a place to spend the ride which wasn't going to be crowded up with her peers.
So here she was, waltzing towards the Prefect's Compartment with her dark brown hair cascading down her shoulders and as soon as she reached it, the Prefect readjusted her badge before sliding the door open.
Empty.
For a few moments, Beezus just stood there, wondering where the other school leaders were. Was she too early or were they just too late? Siiiiiiigh. Of course it was the former. "Well, I get to have some alone time."
It seemed that way.
Biting on her lip, she nodded at herself and stepped inside. Then she closed the door behind her, plopped into a seat nearest to the window and set her bag on her lap. Once she was comfortable, she fished out a book from her bag, flipped it open and began to read.
She'd do that for the meantime. She'll patrol the corridors later....when everyone was settled in.

So the Hogwarts Express finally arrived. It was the mark that she was now officially supposed to do her Prefect duties. Whether that was pretty exciting or nervy, Kat will have to weigh that by the end of the term. What she knows so far is that she was looking forward to 'the' term. Sierra might've said that to her last term, but maybe they could do it this term. Scratch the maybe, they will do it and Kat was going to dedicate much of her time to what she wants both for her and for Slytherin.
The Slytherin Prefect made her way to the compartment exclusive for her fellow student leaders. It didn't take long for her to find out which of them was the prefects' compartment because she had been on this express way before this term. Since she would be spending her train ride in this compartment from now until she graduated and left Hogwarts.
Once she reached the compartment, Kat slid the glass door open and surveyed the people inside it. So she wasn't late, in fact she was kind of early. Only Bee was there so Kat just shrugged nonchalantly while getting in the compartment. "Hey Stunner," Kat greeted her now fellow prefect and smiled at her.
So, tell me, is this a joke that I'm a prefect now?

Taking her too time just not too much of it, Renesmee walked along the train's corridor, with Puffles on her shoulder and her luggage in her hand. All sorts of thoughts couldn't stop themselves from flooding through her mind. She couldn't hit the realization that this was it, her last year ever, as well as other things of course.
This year was going to be a good one , hopefully because this Dixon over here would not stop till she knew she had done the best she could. It was going to be difficult and to even get used to thought of the replacement of her Captain badge made her stomach a little uneasy. Nobody needed to know that though, and nobody needed to know how she had actually reacted to that Hogwarts letter over the summer. What people did need to know was that she Renesmee Dixon would be the best Renesmee Dixon she could be. She wanted to be the girl on fire and nobody, yes nobody would burst out her flame.
Reaching the entrance of the Prefects compartment she paused. She straightened her shirt, checked her badge was in place and then opened the door walking inside.
Everything was just like it had been last year and the year before, nothing new. "Hey, you two and Congrats Kat." The red head smiled at Bee and then at Kat noticing the prefect badge. Interesting choice of prefect, but Ness agreed with it, Kat suited the badge. The Hufflepuff put down her hand luggage along with her owl inside it's cage and sat down one or two-so seats away from Bee.
"So what's that you reading?" Because she was curious [s] and forgot that curiosity killed the cat.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
His final year at Hogwarts was about to begin. And the Slytherin Prefect had mixed feelings about it. He was happy to be able to spread his wings after school ended and do what he wants but on the other side, what was he supposed to do after this?
He had never really thought about his future until this summer and he still did not know what he wanted to do. His father always told him to come work at the Ministry but mweeeh! Reaching the Prefect compartment, Daichi stood in front of the glass door and sighed. He'd talk with Professor Magnus at school, she was the only one who he felt like he could share this.
For now, he was going to enjoy the train ride. With only his black school bag hoisted over his shoulders, (the rest had been placed in the luggage appartment) he opened the door and stepped inside. "Yo people!" he chuckled and plopped down on a free space.
As he stretched his loooong legs, Daichi spotted a new girl in the compartment. Right, Sierra's replacement... "Congrats on that badge" he smiled before he looked at the hufflepuff in the room. "And congrats to you too... he had also spotted Beezus reading a book but she, like himself , wore the same Prefect badge.
Now the congratulations were over for now, the Slytherin opened his bag and grabbed out a chocolate frog.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Finally off the Platform and onto the Train. He quickly dropped off his things (minus one Owl) in the Luggage Compartment and moved his way to the Prefect Compartment. He didn't take much time to look around and take in his surroundings of the train, he had seen the insides a dozen times already. The impact of his final year at Hogwarts had not yet kicked in. Besides he'll have one final train ride home to appreciate the Hogwarts Express.
As he reached the Compartment he took notice of a the familiar faces. Daichi, Beezus, and Renesmee. The newest face was Katrina, taking the badge that once belonged to Sierra. Oh and Renesmee, his friend since day one at Hogwarts and fellow Hufflepuff was Head Girl. Oakey already knew of this from when they met up outside the train, the thought though of having his partner be Renesmee made him smile widely. That's right Oakey was going to be Head Boy. Something he had not considered would ever happen to him, and would have gladly left the badge in Professor Flamsteed's glass of Unicorn Urine when the badge arrived to him while meeting the Large Foreheaded Professor over the summer.
GAH! THAT'S RIGHT HE JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING!!!
Oakey had put it off all Summer, but only just now remembered that in one of Flamsteed's odd outbursts over Oakey's misunderstandings about the Star Trek Cult, he had a paper to write as a summer/detention assignment. "Congrats Katrina." Oakey said as he hurried over to the nearest seat. Made sure that Valentine had not woken up on top of his head, and hastilly pulled out a bunch of parchments and a quill. Spilling out a bunch of other books and personal items (mostly lucky charms) onto the floor around him.

So she'd spent too much time squealing outside with Kurumummy that she'd almost missed the train. Good going, Elise. If the train had left without her, she might have to just sit there until they realized that there was no crazy beater person at the table and one less person in the prefect compartment. Best to get on the train now, yeah? Yeah.
Hopping onto the train, she resisted the urge to go sit in one of the back cars as she usually did and instead turned the other way. She'd be sitting up front from now on to the time she graduated. Having stowed her luggage in the luggage compartment, the only thing she carried in her hand was her was her pet carrier and her wand. Her badge was finally pinned neatly to her robes, after a few hours of hiding in her pocket.
Elise's eyes scanned the occupants of the compartment quickly, recognizing everyone until her eyes fell on a certain Slytherin. She gaped for a moment before actually finding her voice.
"You're prefect?" she half-squeaked. Why had her bestie not told her? Granted, she hadn't said anything about her own badge but that was totally reasonable! She had only found out last month, in the hospital. She hadn't seen Kat since then, much less been able to tell her.
Turning to a figure who seemed to be writing an essay, Elise blinked. Who wrote essays on their way to school, anyway? Obviously, Oakey Gunter did. "Hey, Oakey." Crazy Claw was Quidditch captain now.

"Don't be afraid of death, Winnie; be afraid of an unlived life. You don't have to live forever. You just have to live." Beezus had just read that quote from a certain character in the book she was reading when she heard the compartment door swing open, making her look up from her read.
It was Kat.
Using her two fingers to bookmark the page she had stopped, she closed the book and returned the smile her friend offered. "Dazzler. That..." Beezus snouted at the green badge. "...makes you look more dazzling." Before she could ask how Kat's summer went for conversation's sake, another figure entered the compartment....wearing her Head Girl badge.
Nessie. "Hi, Ness." Tucking some hair behind her ear, she shifted on her seat before responding to the Hufflepuff's query about the book. "Oh, I'm just rereading a classic." Shrug and bit of head shaking going on. Then she held the book's front up so Ness could see as she mouthed it's title, "Tuck Everlasting".
The brunette had barely brought her the book back to her lap when a 'Yo people' resounded from the next person who joined them. "Dai-Dai." She mumbled in acknowledgement.
Her fellow school leaders were slowly pouring in now. Did that mean she had to keep her book now and focus, if ever they were going to have a quick meeting of some sort? Hmm. But there were still quite a number who wasn't there yet. Her boyfriend being one. So....maybe later?
Oh, and look it. If it wasn't Head Boy Gunter himself. Since he literally just talked to Kat (Merlin, he better now be trying to get his way with her too. Juggling Slytherin girls, or any girls for that matter was a heinous crime.), Beezus only raised her eyebrows at him and smirked as he took a seat.
She was about to turn her attention back to the book when once again, the door slid open and came in Elise. Ravenclaw's new Quidditch Captain. And Beezus knew that already. If they had the time, they got important things to discuss. Them. Her, Beezus, Elise and Ethan. Oh! Their initials made the word 'Bee'.
Uh huh. They'd be buzzing and owning the school this term.
Classics. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But of course Ness had her favorite book and even if it wasn't deemed a classic by everybody else she believed it should be. But back to what Bee was reading. The red head examined the books cover with her eyes and read the title. 'Tuck Everlasting'."Sounds familiar." Yep, she had heard of it before, not read it yet, but heard of it. "Is it worth reading?" Because the puff was in need of a new book this term.
One by one more and more student leaders began filling up the compartment.
First came Daichi, which made Ness a little red in the face as she thought of how she had by accident sat on him last year. That memory was hauntingly embarrassing. Good thing he didn't say anything aloud. She smiled at his congratulation. "Thank you, Daichi." She then nodded politely. It was his last year too and secretly the red head wondered how he was feeling about that.
Next was Oakey, one of her close, close friends. It had been how many years now? Six or was it seven? That she had known him. He was one of her first friends here ever and of course Ness was more than pleased that Oakey received the Head Boy badge and nobody else. "Hello again, Head Boy Gunter." She teased him with a smile.
Was that. Oh my Merlin it was!
The sight of Elise made Ness smile quite widely. Ravenclaw Captain eh? Yeah, girls were taking over Captainsy now, this was exactly what Ness wanted. This would prove that girls did know how to lead, even in a tough game like quidditch. "Congrats, Ki--" Yeah maybe a sixth year wasn't young enough for kiddo anymore. "--Elise." There better. The Ravenclaw got a smile like everyone else.
Now who else was left to arrive? Dylan of course, Jake, Ira, Alice, the new Ravenclaw prefect and Ella. Yes! Ellacutie, that Ness had heard on the platform was now Captain. That made her proud of her kiddo, so proud.
Kimothée Chalamet • The UWU Agenda • Once Baby, Now Trouble • All Growed Up
Kat was looking at the cover of the book Bee was reading. It was a book she didn't recognise well and one she hadn't read before obviously. It was also expected that Bee would called her Dazzler too. A bit too obvious because Stunner and Dazzler was their thing and it had became a habit for them to call each other that nickname. Wherever she snouted at, Kat looked at it and realised it was her badge. That made the Slytherin Prefect beam. "Thank you," she said. "You've been stunning as ever too, Bee." And she even bet the Slytherin Captain would agree, hmm?
The next moment, Kat heard someone enter the compartment and made her look to the person getting in. She realised it was Nessie, the Hufflepuff Capt-
... Wait. Kat squinted at the badge Nessie was wearing. It was different, and was definitely NOT a Captain badge. It made the blonde realise that it was a Head Girl one. It had been replaced. "Uh... hey Nessie," Kat greeted the soon to be graduating Hufflepuff. "Thank you, and congratulations on your new badge as well." Head Girl was another big badge to earn, since you have like power over the other prefects. Yeah, Kat would beg to disagree if someone even tried. It would be a waste of time and energy trying to order Kat to do something.
Oh look, another student leader had entered. Kat looked over from Nessie to Daichi. Right, she'd had to work with him this term. That was something Kat was... not really looking forward to, honestly. She just didn't really, you know, see anything in her co-prefect. "Thanks Daichi," she said. Now that he and Kat will be working together, did that mean she could ask him around? Cos if it did, Merlin knew how much Kat would actually LOVE to do that. Hehe.
One by one, Kat's fellow student leaders were coming in the compartment. The next one she saw enter was Oakey. It seemed like he had more thoughts in his mind than words coming out of his mouth when she noticed that the Hufflepuff, who miraculously was Head Boy (?!?!), only had talked to her. Kat stopped herself from raising an eyebrow having thoughts. And what was the hurry for, huh? Not like he was being chased. "Thank you, Oakey," she said. Now she wasn't sure if this was weird.
And then someone else. Seeing all these faces getting in was giving Kat some mixed emotions. She wanted to be alone and some space would be great, but she too want to socialise. It's like Kat didn't understand want she really wanted. However, the next person had made Kat blink for a moment while she registered the sight. Elise? What was she doing here? She couldn't possibly be the MALE prefect, duh. Then she mentioned Kat's prefectship. "Uh yeah, I'm prefect," Kat fiddled with her hair for a while until her eyes fell to the other blonde's badge. "And you're... captain." Okay... what was going on? How could Kat herself, the new Ravenclaw Captain's bestfriend, not know about Elise's captain badge? Anyway, that didn't matter though. Kat was really proud of her bestfriend and hoped Elise, in return, felt the same way.
There were probably more student leaders to come, so Kat waited with the others while watching out the window. So... yeah. Wonder when the train would start and leave?

Ella was late. Y'know, casually late on her way to the prefects' compartment but not because she was nervous or anything. NOPE! It wasn't because deep down she felt like the only place she should be leading people was the kitchen for sundaes. NOT AT ALL! Actually, the blonde had been watching. Oh yes, watching and taking notes on Captain-y things. Top secret notes about things and stuff that captains did when they didn't know anyone was watching. Things and stuff that might come in handy to one new blonde Hufflepuff Captain who certainly was not nervous at all. PSH. Ella was cool as a cucumber.
...
Now she was nearing the compartment and she had to make a grand entrance, yeah? One Captain-worthy that wasn't too much but still had an air of authority. Oh yeah, she CLEARLY wasn't overthinking this at all.
Ahem.
Peeking her head in, the blonde opened her mouth and said the smoothest most effortlessly cool greeting she could think of. "Erm...hey!" BEAM.
Yup. This captaining thing was going to be a BREEZE.
Ethan was taking his sweet time heading to the prefect compartment, making sure his luggage was squared away and having a few words with Minerva before setting off in search of it. He wasn't even completely sure where it was, this being his exactly fourth time on the train and he had no reason to even come near it, preferring his usual back-of-the-train compartment. He spotted Elise halfway up the train, not too worried about where she was going for the time being. She had that tracking charm on her and knew he'd be able to keep tabs on that cat because of it.
Green eyes soon fell on what he was fairly certain was the correct door and he peeked his head in, eyes falling on the faces of the occupants. Yep, this was it.. The Claws he knew fairly well and he shot Beezus and Elise a grin as he headed inside. The rest he didn't know so well, maybe speaking to a few of them a handful of times in class or whatever.. but he was fairly certain he knew their names and that was something, yeah? Still, he considered himself a friendly enough bloke, so.. "Hey, everyone.." he offered, before taking an empty seat. So.. now what? Like a meeting or something..?

It was clearly that time again.
Dylan was being extremely indifferent as he slowly boarded the train, no bags, gear, or luggage trailing him. The only clear belonging he had on his person was a messenger bag strapped across his chest...and Charlotte (his tarantula), who'd taken refuge on his shoulder for the lengthy train ride.
Oh, how lovely it was to no longer be Trace'd.
All his things were shrunk down, obviously...carefully placed into the messenger bag. Travelin' light FTW! It was so nice not having to worry about carrying a bunch of stuff...or taking up loads of space in compartments for that matter. Being able to perform magic without the looming threat of a Ministry letter was totally awesome...It'd also saved his life during his road trip that summer.
Upon entering the train compartment, Dylan was met with new faces and old faces...His beautiful girlfriend, Bee...One of his best friends, Gunter...Duck and Dixon, both of whom he didn't really care for...
It'd been a thing. He knew about most of the new people...Gunter had OWL'd him over the summer about things. He'd gotten text messages from Hudson...He knew about his Ellaphant...but the Ravenclaws that were joining the elite group, the Slytherin Captain was unsure about 'em....
SPOILER!!: Gunter!

So... this was his second-to-last train ride to Hogwarts. And it was probably not a big deal at all. That's what Jake was thinking about as he made his way to the Prefect's compartment, though. He wasn't sure how to feel about it. Basically, he was just excited.
There was a small smile on his lips as he opened the door to the compartment and stepped in. He glanced around quickly, giving a small wave and noting a few new faces. Ella caught his interest and he gave her a small smile before making his way over to sit next to Dylan. "Hey, mate. I -"
His greeting was cut short when his eyes fell on the thing that was chilling on Dylan's shoulder. A slight scream/squeal replaced it as he scrambled off the seat, landing on his backside on the ground. A few thoughts ran through his head that a Prefectly Prefect wouldn't say, so he clamped his jaw shut and scampered back onto the first empty seat he found on the opposite side of the compartment. Never once did his eyes leave the thing on the Slytherin Captain's shoulder.
...He'd just stay away. He'd talk to Dylan later when he wasn't buddy-buddy with an eight-legged freak.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
No that one didn't make any sense. He crumbled up the piece of parchment and threw it to the side. He ruffled his hair as he tried to rethink one what Flamsteed wanted for the summer assignment. Star Trek and Astronomy, and how they relate. He pulled over another piece of parchment and started to write something out on it again. This one coming together a little better than the first one. He lifted his head when Katrina responded to his congratulations and gave her a nod and smile he moved the same smile to Beezus who was looking at him weirdly, well not weirdly, more like how she always looked him. He gave one to Renesmee as well "To you too, Head Girl Dixon." Hopefully, Renesmee was warming up to the role, and title now without worrying so much.

He moved his attention back to the paper once more only to be distracted by the compartment door opening once more. What was Elise doing in here? She lost or something, or was there already trouble on the train? "Elise what's..." Wait what did Katrina call her? Oakey took a quick glimpse at the badge on her chest. "Captain?" Gee, that would have been a useful bit of information she could have shared with him on the Platform. That wouldn't change his mind on how mental she was. Getting Ravenclaw Captain actually suited her. Only the craziest of Cray Claws would get that Badge. "What a nice surprise" Oakey said, giving her a Sour Lemon Glare.
Mental Ravenclaw Captain Elise.
Merlins beard he might as well have just waited to just do the paper after everyone got on the train. "He set the quill down and smiled at his favorite neighbor now turned Hufflepuff Captain. "I thought you'd never show up Ella Worm." Then there was Ethan, Minerva's Boyfriend. How was wearing the Other Ravenclaw Prefect badge that was once Spike's last term. "Nice badge, Ethan. You deserve it."

Finally some quiet time to get his Paper done. Oakey picked his quill back up and start to write done comparisons between the Large Foreheaded Professors Subject, and his Cult Following. He was so into it now he did not hear Dylan walk in until he spoke up to him. "What?!" Oakey said slightly aggravated now with the distractions. "Oh, hey Dylan." He gave his friend a quick apologetic smile then looked around him at the mess of books and charms strewed all over the floor around him. "I'll get to that later." He waved Dylan off as the Slytherin moved away from him and sat down.
He saw Jake come in next, but only raised his head and eyed him as the Gryffindor took his seat next to Dylan and huffed. He returned his attention to his paper only to Jerk his head up and his quill threw the Parchment when Jake shrieked. Valentine who was sleeping nicely on his head also freaked at the scream and started flapping his wings around furiously on top of Oakey's head until the Eagle Owl calmed down, and moved from his to Elise's Shoulder. Standing up and taking his wand out. "Dammit all" He managed to say under his breath as Oakey cleared up the mess on the floor and moved it all back into his bag. He took note of everyone that was in the compartment now. Renesmee, Ella, Ethan, Elise, Beezus, Jake, Dylan, Katrina, and Daichi. The only two missing were Alice and Ira. "I'm gonna start patrols on the Train, and so should you all too." Oakey informed the group. As he moved over to the door of their compartment. Maybe he'll eventually run into Ariana, who had eluded him on the Platform. Getting his assignment done in the comfort of her presence would be a nice change.

So there were a lot of people in here and Ella just kind of smiled at everyone awkwardly until Oakey greeted her. Favorite neighbor bestie to the rescueeee! “Had to make sure I had plenty of gummy worms, Oakey worm,” Ella said with a smirk the one she’d been practicing all summer for reasons. She then proceeded to wriggle herself into the seat beside the boy and nudge him playfully.
Oh and Nessie was here too? “Hi, Loch Nessie!” BEAM. ”Fancy badge you got there.” And Ella thought she was going to be a brilliant head girl, y’know, in case she was wondering.
Kat and Elise got finger wiggles and smiles from the badger as she noted their badges. “Congrats, you guys.” And Bee got a sheepish smile and a wave and a hopeful look for reasons. Reasons having to do with a name Bee liked to call her in a teasing manner. She could just not use that name right now, yeah? Pleaseeeee? Oh and Daichi and Ethan got smiles and waves as well before Ella said to the group, “I hope everyone had a nice summer.”
And then Dylish joined the party and Ella’s eyes flew to his hair first, obviously. She smiled approvingly at his lovely locks before giving him a BEAM. Oh HAI, Dylish! And then Jake…got all squeal-y? Ella tilted her head and watched him curiously for a moment or two before raising an eyebrow. “Y’know, I’ve read that a tarantula’s bite isn’t too dangerous. It’s actually not much worse than a bee sting so…I mean, unless you’re allergic or something…it’s not so scary” So Jake could cuddle up to Dylish all he wanted and not be too nervous about the giant spider.
And then Oakey Worm got all authoritative on them and Ella tilted her head, giving him a mini sour-lemon glare. Just cause.

There she was. Late and all because reasons, but at least she bothered to show up, yeah?
Alice had actually had gone to great lengths to AVOID being late, weaving through people and jumping over luggage and shoving her way to the prefects' compartment. Still, she had somehow still managed to be tardy and not on time for the gathering of all the badge holders on the train. But whatever, she was there NOW. And she'd slipped into the compartment fairly unnoticed, seeing as there were so many new people badged. So many to congratulate and meet and be introduced to. Too many for her mind to handle at the moment. Alice went and wriggled into the seat next to Jake instead, not technically on his lap, but close enough for it to count and not break tradition.
So. "Hi people. There are a lot of you." She had noticed, did they know?

Naturally, all of Dylan's attention had been centered on the girl sat right beside him. He hadn't had much time to spend with her since that day on the park bench. He'd gotten so busy with getting his things together, making sure he had the clothes he needed, updating his quidditch gear, making sure he had available funds...for emergencies. The great thing about signing hie name on that dotted line weeks ago? The signing bonus. Also, there was the matter of spending time with Charlie and Christopher.
Merlin, how the Slytherin loved those babies...He'd taken loads of pictures before leaving, though...all of which were developed and in his portfolio, shrunken and tucked down in the messenger bag.
Thinking about his newborn siblings, Dylan reached his hand out, searching for hers and grasping it tightly...
SPOILER!!: Keller!

He'd talk to Dylan later when he wasn't buddy-buddy with an eight-legged freak.
...and then a WILD Keller appeared.
Dylan shot brows at his best mate, amused at the display (and sound) Jake had just put on. When had this fear developed...and how was this news? "It's just a tarantula, mate. She's harmless." Really, she was.
To prove this point, Dylan reached a hand up, allowing his little lady to crawl slowing onto his hand. The Captain cooed at her sweetly. "You're just a sweet love, aren't you Charlotte?" Grinning over at Jake, he then set her back down on his shoulder. He'd have let her roam a bit...but the compartment was a mess...and if anyone hurt her, war would've ensued. Dylan wasn't afraid to use his wand....Especially against those currently sharing this compartment...
"How about paintball after lessons tomorrow? Just you and me?" That would surely make it all better, yes?

SPOILER!!: Gunter!

...and Gunter was getting looks. LOOKS.
It probably would've been best to take turns...since the train was only so big...and there was so many of them....but that was just his opinion. Dylan was a Captain. Captains weren't Prefects...meaning he didn't have to make a move. Gunter didn't rule him.
So, that earned a dismissive wave.
SPOILER!!: Ellaphant!

Ellaphant was one of his favorites for a reason...and this was it. Dylan hadn't missed the look to his hair...before she'd actually looked at his face. These girls and his hair...The Slytherin was convinced he'd been right about it being the source of all his power.
It was in the hair. Yes.
"It's okay. Keller doesn't have to sit next to me...No matter how much that hurts my feelings." More looks for Jakey-love.

Merlin...When had she gotten here?
Dylan gave her a very specific look and sighed...because of REASONS. "You doing okay?" He may or may not have follow that up with another significant look.

Ohhhh, so this was the special compartment, was it? Where all the special students with the special BADGES got to sit. Was that right? Well, guess what?
.............
"TICKEEETS!" Mister Akumu exclaimed, bursting into the Prefect's compartment, clicking his ticket puncher as he waved it in front of the students' faces. He didn't care if these kids had shiny badges or not - he wanted them dang tickets!
Everyone's here again... and so are YOU, Mister Akumu
Kimothée Chalamet • The UWU Agenda • Once Baby, Now Trouble • All Growed Up
Kat noticed the next person enter the compartment. Well, they were starting to fill up in here. The face of the new student leader was definitely familiar to Kat as she knew this girl. It was Ella Bishop, who apparently took over Nessie's previous position as Hufflepuff Captain. Kat smiled at the Hufflepuff, who was only one of the few of those badgers she liked. "Hello Ella," Kat greeted. "Thank you, and congratulations on your badge as well." They needed a super secret Keeper!Student Leader handshake for this, but the Slytherin will have to ask the fifth year later when they were alone.
The student leader who entered after Ella was a Ravenclaw. A new face at that, because Kat didn't know him. She was sure this one was the male prefect (Ethan)... and not Elise. She'll have to get to know these people soon since they're all prefects and stuff. "Hi," Kat said managed a small smile. "Congratulations on your badge." Anyway, another one came in.
And this one wasn't a fresh new face to Kat. She had known this one since her fourth year. Who else could it be, but Dylan anyway? He was still holding his position as Quidditch Captain for Slytherin and that's not a surprise. Although thinking that this would be his final year at Hogwarts, it was something worth to be upset about. He was a cool captain with a huge ego at that. "Hey Captain," Kat said and beamed at her Captain, because he definitely knew way prior to now that she was Prefect.
The next one after Dylan was a familiar face too, but someone Kat didn't know too well. All she knew was that he was the Gryffindor Male Prefect and that he goes by the name Jake. Since he only talked to Dylan, Kat just gave him a polite nod. That was good enough since the Slytherin didn't want to disrupt whatever conversation the two were having, whether it was something really important or not.
Then Oakey said he would start patrolling the corridors and told the others that they should as well. Kat, who was apparently not in the mood to do anything, didn't stand up and follow him just yet. He'd probably go find a girl named Ariana Logan and snog her face THEN start patrolling. But for now, Kat won't go patrol yet. She can't deny the fact that Oakey was taking this Head Boy position seriously. What a surprise.
After the Head Boy left, another familiar face arrived. Kat knew that this one was the Gryffindor Captain, Alice, whom the Slytherin had met during the Start of Term feast last term. It would be polite if Kat greeted her though, despite seeing that the fifth year looked like she had much thoughts running through her head. "Hey Alice," Kat said and managed a smile for the Gryffindor. There wasn't much to say to her though, so Kat let her be.
... Now who was this person? It wasn't the Gryffindor Female Prefect, because this one was a dude. Uhm... okay? And he demanded for their tickets? So he must be the ticket collector (Mister Akumu).Gosh, he could've been a little bit more respectful. He should know that Kat did not like being disrespected and being demanded for a lot of things, especially if it's just about one stupid ticket. Kat eyed the man for a bit before handing her ticket over to the man. So, he got the ticket he wanted... now what?

"Of course it is," Beezus told Renesmee quite cheerfully. "It's actually one of my favorites. " She'd go into detail about how the story in the book went but she felt like that would take some time so she settled with, "Do you might want to borrow it sometime?" And then the Head Girl would also be enthralled by its one-of-a-kind plot. Or better yet, if Ness had a book of her own, maybe they could exchange it between themselves. Good idea, right?
Back to Dazzler.
One thing she really liked about the new Slytherin Prefect was that Kat always had something nice to say to her even though she was well aware that she looked like a mess. Her hair must've been all over the place yet the she-snake was still saying that she looked stunning. "You're turning into quite a flatterer nowadays, did you know that?" She smirked at her friend.
Again and again the compartment door opened and gave them her to-be partner in crime for the term. Ethan McCarthy, fellow Chaser too. She returned his grin and tagged on, "Hey Ethan? If you're free later, can we talk somewhere?" Alone.....for shifty reasons.
That grin stayed plastered on her lips when the next person to enter the Compartment was Ella. No, really....that grin turned into a teasing smirk when she got a smile and wave from her. Ella and her had secrets. Though, for the most of it were things she liked using against the Hufflepuff. Beezus wasn't being mean. In fact, she liked being playful with the young badger. Besides, Ella was the kind of person you wouldn't want to miss the opportunity trolling with. Merlin, bless her and her adorableness.
And may Merlin bless this next person to join them too. Her Dylan, exuding the same air of arrogance in his disposal as he usually did that made the Ravenclaw roll her eyes. And since there were many people now, Beezus decided to completely close her book and returned it inside her bag as her boyfriend was commanding their Head Boy to clean up his mess. Captain attitude, much?
"Dylan Corvi," She shot back and snorted at him saying that she looked beautiful. "Oh, shut up." She tucked some hair behind and ear and blushed a bit. Damn this Slytherin Captain....he always knew which way to take to make her feel like she was a girl. And did he just call Elise 'Fairchild'? Letting out an exasperated sigh, she elbowed him and narrowed her eyes. "Just so you know, it's not Fairchild. Fairfield....get it?" Seriously, why was he so particular with the names he called Ravenclaw Captains? Milton was Mildew. Squiiiiint.
Too much for that.
Oakey was then announcing that he was going to start patrols. "Right." The brunette was just about to follow the Head Boy's lead (yeah, she followed rules okay? when it was necessary) when the Gryffindor Male Prefect sauntered in. "Hi, Jake." But she didn't receive a response in return because the guy was on to something that was on Dylan. Curiously, with her hand on his, the girlfriend tilted her head. She might or might not have squealed when she saw the tarantula perched on his shoulder. Beaming, she was. And she waited when Dylan finished comforting his bestfriends feelings about ze Charlotter before reaching out for the eight-legged creature. Come here, sweet lady. Mhhm! Removing her hand from Dylan's grasp, she took the tarantula gently on her palm (no ifs and buts, she was taking her) and nodded at Jake. "Her bite isn't lethal." Yep. Helpful Ravenclaw here. Griiiiiiin.
So, let the boys have their talk and set their dates whatsoever while she petted Charlotte and turned her attention to Alice. Beezus DID notice her when she came in, of course. "Hey, Alice. How's the butterflee?"
Oooooooooh.
New guy. An impolite one too. He didn't even bothered knocking. This made the brunette's eyebrows fork together slightly. "Hi. And thanks for your hard work." Can you tell she was being sarcastic? Giving him an unimpressed expression, Beezus handed her ticket over. "Guys, your tickets...." She muttered towards the rest of her fellow leaders.
½ of Lauralie | Koala | The being in Ern's pocket | Baby Smurf | Prouf member of The Flock
Offering Beezus a rather exaggerated bow, Elise winked. Bee knew about her badge from their meeting earlier that summer, though the circumstances weren't as pretty as she would have liked to see her in. Recovering, she turned around to face a familiar redhead with a pygmy puff on her shoulder.
“Thanks, Nessie!” she grinned, her eyes crinkling just slightly. “Congrats on your new badge too, by the way!” It was so pretty and shiny. Not to mention that it suited her really well. At least they had a Head Girl who wouldn't push ickles in front of hungry dragons, right? Nessie was a nice enough person not to do such a mean thing to unsuspecting ickles.
Blinking blankly at her bestie, she nodded. “... and I'm captain.” Really creative way to tell your bestie that you're Quidditch Captain, but she didn't really have much choice. She fidgeted with the pet carrier for a while before realizing that she'd probably come off as a little harsh. “Congrats, though!” There. Now she didn't seem like a total jerk. She was super proud of Kat, though! It wasn't just anyone who got prefect, especially not after someone like Sierra had the badge.
Fidget. Fidget.
Fair... child? Fairchild? Who in the name of Merlin's underwear was Fairchild? It took a little bit longer for her to realize that he was talking to her. Her name wasn't Elise Fairchild, for crying out loud! He knew that, too! Spinning around on her heel, she shot her most lethal glare -which was very lethal, mind you- at the Slytherin Captain. “The name's Fairfield, Montmorendee.”
Was that a flinch, Oakey? Speaking of Oakey... What exactly was he doing staring at her chest? EYES OFF, GUNTER. You have a girlfriend! Whose intelligence made a mountain troll look like Einstein, but a girlfriend nonetheless. Did he need her to CLAW his eyes out for him? Stop staring! Shrugging not so apologetically, she offered a sheepish smile. “It never... came up in the conversation?” Obviously, considering that the conversation was about pushing first years into dragons.
And a finger!wiggle and a smile for you too, Ella. “You too!” she beamed, offering her fist for a fistbump. FEMALE CAPTAINS UNITE, YEAAAH!
She was just about to say hi to Alice too, when a really mean and rude person decided to barge into their compartment and demand for her ticket. Swerving around suddenly, the pet carrier swung dangerously close to the ticket-person's face. Whooopsies! What did he want, again? OH, her ticket. Pulling it out, she gave it to him really nicely if you count not flinging it into his face -which he DESERVED- nice. She was a very nice person, really.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Was it just him or did Dylan greet everyone in the Prefect compartment except him? Well, whatever his reason was not to greet him as well, Daichi was slightly..juuuust slightly hurt by that fact. His brown eyes then went to the tarantulla on his shoulder and nearly jumped when Jake suddenly squealed at the sight of the creature.
He didn't say anything though and gave both Kat and Nessie a nod when they said a thank you and a small smile. He scratched the back of his neck when he looked at Oakey and wondered why on earth he was making homework right now. Or...at least it looked like something like that. He frowned seeing the parchments on the seat and curiously looked at them.
He was about to ask what it was for when Oakey mentioned patrolling the cars. Right. He gave a nod in agreement and stood up to get out of the compartment when someone he had never seen before entered the compartment and asked for Tickets.
......Tickets? The Slytherin turned his gaze to the others and saw Kat giving the man a ticket. Crap! had he missed something?! His fingers nervously fidgeted to open his bag. Why had no one told them he should have a ticket? Or had it been said and he had forgotten?! And WHY hadn't he seen this man in his previous years in the train?!
And then Beezus handed out her ticket and Elise as well. No nononono! he couldn't be the only one right? RIGHT?! he slooooooowly opened his bag, pretending the zipper got stuck. Hopefully the ticket guy missed him and went to the next compartment soon...
Elise, mentions of Beezus and Daichi, and TICKET!Guy
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Really Oakey thought to himself, glaring at Elise now. "I'm sure it would have come up if you wore it outside." Why she didn't? Oakey didn't care, and figured it was something with her mentality being all out of whack. Oakey was about to step out of the compartment door when he was yelled at in the face. Oakey almost fell backwards and onto Daichi and Beezus who were nice enough to stand up when he said they should start patrols. He caught himself an instant before knocking over the Ravenclaw and Snake, and picked at his ear to stop the sudden ringing in it.
"My what? Ticket?" Oakey rummaged through his pocket and pulled out the small square paper and handed it to the little-loud-yelling-ticket guy. Less yelling now please, Oakey was more used to loosing his voice than his hearing.
Flinching when he heard an owl squawk, Jake looked over to see the creature fly off Oakey Gunter's head. Had he done that? Scared it with his... slight noise? Jumpy bird, it was. Jumping Gunter, too. Jake stared at the Hufflepuff as he made a mess with his things and make a show about cleaning them up. He was distracted, though, when someone sat right next to him. At first he thought Anya, but then he remembered she wasn't a prefect, so he looked over to see who it was instead.
Oh. Ali. "Hey," he said cheerfully. He nudged her. Smile a little, Ali. He smiled down at her himself then turned his attention to Ella, who was now talking to him.
It's bite wasn't too dangerous? Like a bee sting? Well, did she see Jake carrying around a bee in his pocket just for the fun of it? "It's not it's bite that I'm scare- ... worried about." It had EIGHT legs and like, 13764 eyes. Did that not bother anyone else?
And then Dylan was talking. Jake turned his head to look at the blond, but his eyes fell on the tarantula again and he couldn't look away. No, he'd keep a good lookout on that thing. "Harmless," he scoffed. His eyes bugged out a bit when Dylan took the thing into his hand and called it a "sweet love." Then Beezus took it. Ohai, Beezus. Was everyone in this compartment crazy?
He shook his head, not bothering to reply to her comment about the spider not being lethal. Like that was even reassuring. He scanned his eyes around the compartment instead, noting a few faces that he didn't quite know, but recognized from classes and Quidditch. It looked like a good bunch in here this year.
His eyes trailed back to Dylan. "Paintballing," he agreed, grinning instantly. He laughed lightly at the look the Slytherin was giving him, and threw the guy a smirk. "You're on."
That was when the compartment door flew open and someone yelled TICKETS. Jake blinked at the man. What...? ...Oh. Right. Tickets. Except... Jake's was in his pocket, and Ali was currently sitting too close for him to reach into his pocket comfortably. So... he'd wait. Yep. But he had it, so... move along, ticket collector. Yep.
