Minerva walked into the library. Haired pulled back, she didn't even have her usual make up on. What was the point. It was just to much effort and her eyes were just to puffy for the eye liner anyway. She looked like a wreck and felt even worse, but no way would she ever let down one of her little badgers. Especially one of her closest friends and captain.


She looked around and noticed the fifth year at the table. Fifth year.. Ella a fifth year almost sixth year.. Minerva couldn't help but feel sad at the thought of next term. Plus the thought of Ella's OWLs and all the plans Minerva had to surprise her fifth year badgers to help them study.. That had all went out the window now..


Walking to the table she tried to muster the tiniest smile. "Hey Ella, I'm here for that reading." She took a seat across from the badger. "Let's hope you see some light in the dark today." because seeing anything bad maybe Ella should just keep in her notes, Minerva couldn't have anymore bad.

Minnie looked really sad. Ella wasn't used to seeing the older badger like this and she frowned slightly, looking down at her text book so that the sixth year wouldn't see. She really didn't want to make things any worse for her.

"Hey Minnie," The Captain greeted, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she watched her friend sit down. "Thanks again for doing this. I promise it'll be painless." And she smiled faintly, taking Minnie's hand in hers so she could start. "I'm sure I'll find lots of good things, okay?" And she really hoped that was true.

Glancing down at her book, the first thing Ella looked at was what type of hand Minnie had. "Well, your fingers are quite long which is good. And your palm, well it's sort of an oval-ish shape. I'd say..." And she used her free hand to scan the text more closely. "Water hand. You're definitely a water hand. Or well, your future hand is a water hand." Nodnod. "So that means you do things quietly and intuitively." Which wasn't so bad. Ella was a water hand too.

Scribble. Scribble. Scribble.

Next up was Minnie's Heart Line. The blonde glanced from her friend's palm to her book and back again, trying to see what her line said about her. "Well, your line begins sort of below your index finger so..." What did that mean again? "Well I guess that means you're content with your love life." BEAM. "Which makes sense since Ethan is great!" Just saying. "It's also on the long side and a little curvy." Nodnod. "That just means, well that you express yourself freely." Like the way Ella could tell that she was sad right now, she guessed.

Scribble. Scribble. Scribble.



...So far so good?

Minerva watched as Ella took her hand and turned it over. Painless.. well that was good, but she had all the trust in the world for Ella so whatever was needed to be done she would probably do it. Plus she had been missing a few classes with this recent depression or whatever you wanted to call it so at least she was helping someone else get things done.

She listened, long fingers.. Were her fingers considered long.. That was something neat. Glancing at the book she had to agree with Ella. Ella seemed really good at this. How did she miss this divinations class. She loved divinations. Her frown deepened when it just didn't seem worth the effort at the moment to attend things. Social was not her thing.. What if someone tried to hug her.

Nope not happening... She was brought out of her own thoughts when Ella began talking about a heart line. Himm heart wonder what all the meant. She was never one to not know things.. Some top of the class student she had turned out to be this term. She was beginning to feel like a failure when Ella said about love life and Ethan. A small smile appeared on the sad girls face. Yes her love life was perfect... Well yes they had way to many fights this term and he was leaving in only a few weeks, but... he was perfect at least for her.

She listened very interested with what else Ella might have in store for her.

Minnie was awfully quiet but Ella saw the hint of a smile and that made her smile too. See? This wasn't so bad! She just had a few more things to read too and then they could go get some food or something if Min wanted. That might be nice!

"On to the Head Line." She announced with a small smile, eyeing Minerva's palm curiously. "It's sort of curved which means that you're creative or...well you'll be creative in the future. That's neat!" See? Another good thing! "It also has some crosses through it which means you'll be making momentous decisions." And that part..well it could be seen as good or bad, she guessed. Who knew how accurately Ella's reading was anyway.

Moving on to the Life Line, the blonde smiled a bit. "Your Life Line..well it's quite curvy here, see?" Nodnod. "That means you've got plenty of energy in the future." And energy was totally a good thing. "And then it breaks off here which means...a change in lifestyle." But that could be good things too! It just sort of depended on Minnie's future, she guessed.

"And last but not least, the Fate Line." This whole reading palms thing was much easier when the text book was so helpful. Ella was glad she had it. "Well, your Fate Line breaks and changes quite a bit so I erm.." What did that mean? "I guess you'll have many changes in your future." She gave the older girl a reassuring smile, wanting her to know that this could be an awesome thing. "It also crosses the Life Line which means you'll have support in the future from people close to you." Grin! "That's it!"

Scribble. Scribble. Scribble.



Taaa-daaaa! All finished! "I'm done, Min! See? That wasn't so bad after all."

Minerva listened longer, creative.. Well she didn't think she was very creative at least not right now. Would she become creative, could people become creative if they weren't before. She couldn't help but wonder. Nodding to show she was listening she watched as Ella moved one. Energy? "Well that would be good, maybe sooner rather than later." She was feeling she had none lately, it was hard even to come up to the library let alone do anything else.

She blinked momentous decisions... wow that sounded like a big deal. Her mind wondered what kind of big decisions. "Well let's hope it's not to hard though." She couldn't take hard.. No she couldn't have anymore hard things go on. Maybe it's just about uni and things. That wouldn't be so bad. The others seemed to be all about life change as well.. She sat blinking at this. "Well I guess life has to change now doesn't it. So.." She shrugged not knowing what else to say.


When Ella said about support Minerva sighed, "I don't need future for that. I know I have plenty of that right now." She gave Ella a small smile knowing she was one of them. She did have a great support group around her and she hoped that wouldn't change, but it was going to wasn't it. Her biggest supporter, her rock wasn't coming back next term. She bite her lip as the sad started to fill her again with these thoughts.

Coming out of the thoughts as Ella said they were done she tried to smile with her trembling lips. "I.. I hope I helped... and it wasn't bad at all." Nope not hard... now.. can she go back to hiding from the social world in her room.

Early the next morning found Sarah in the library. She wanted to finish off the song before classes. She had snacked on a apple, so upon arrival at the library she was left with the core which she ate as well. She made her way to the tables and took a dip in the ink.
She replayed the tune in her head and continued with her song:

Its time to thank the oak
for it gives so much to wizarding folk
With its wood I will make a rune
therefore I thank you, by singing you this tune

Sarah put the verses together and sang them to herself. Not bad. She looked at her watch. It looked like she would be able to fit in a visit to the tree before breakfast.

That is. If she hurried. She packed up her things and headed out

She was done looking for books, learning new spells and all. This time, Gwen came back to the library only with a few pieces of parchment in her hands. She was thinking about reading the notes she had taken during the year in some subjects. And that day, she picked Charms. She would need to do her best at the Charms NEWT, since this particular subject was important for the career she had set her mind on.

So the seventh year was making her way to the library study area, looking around for an empty spot at one of the tables. Though she suddenly stopped walking as something caught her eye.

MERLIN’S BEARD THAT GIRL WAS WEARING A LOT OF PINK!

Apparently, the younger student, who she was certain she had seen around before, was trying to cast a spell. The seventh year folded her arms and raised an eyebrow at the younger girl. ‘Need help?’, she said nonchalantly. She had enough time to repeat things that she already knew in Charms, so Gwen figured she could help Miss Pink.

As she waited for a reply, the seventh year eyed the girl, then the robes in front of her. Just what was she doing? Trying to change the colour of the school robes?

The second year old looked really annoyed because her spell wasn't working, she was NOT stupid so this spell MUST work! She was a second year and a second year could do this!! SHE NEEDED TO DO THIS! 'Okay, calm don' spoke Sonea firmly to herself and pointed her wand again at her school robes, she WAS GOING TO CHANGE THEM! Yes, she would do it and she was doing it today! spoke the spell again and made this time a wrong movement with her wand, she almost slammed with her wand in the air, at her school robes. "Co-loh-VA-ree-ah!" But all what happened this time was that she saw some sparkles and that was not her intention, she sighed and knew that she had done it wrong again... "Stupid spell!" The second year old narrowed her eyes and looked at her school robes, they were still not perfect, she wanted them to be pink, PINK was the best color ever and she wanted to have them!

"Need help?" Who was standing there? Had somebody watched her? Oh noooooo! She didn't wanted to look like a stupid little kid who even wasn't able to use this simple spell!!! People would call her stupid!! She was A SECOND YEAR! She was smart! She was the smartest girl EVER so she didn't liked it that a stranger had watched her.... But, she also didn't wanted to show the other person that she was a little stressed now and lifted her chin arrogantly while she turned around.

She saw a girl standing, a Ravenclaw... Oh, perfect... a studend was standing before her who already knew everything and was better than she was... She didn't liked the Ravenclaw students, they were always so smart and always busy with their schoolwork, they were also talking as if they already knew everything, as if they were better than a NORMAL student! She was really convinced that ALL the Ravenclaw students were the same and STUPID!

She folded her arms and tried to look confident, hoping that she would look a little older, and she failed. She was totally covered with pink, she even wore pink heart-shaped earrings! But, she was convinced that she looked really good and that everybody would take er serious.

She looked at the older girl and nodded. "Who are you?" She pointed at the older girl and even now that she wanted, no she NEEDED some help, she still wanted to know first who she was and if she was worthy to sit besides her!
