Dylan was getting more looks, but that was cool. He was having a blast with this...And really, it was so smart to duplicate ones gargoyle in the first place. Now if one broke, he'd have a Darth-black spare...Not that the Slytherin would break his statue.

He carried on with the Jedi-fighting for a bit longer...but then decided to just do regular tricks like everyone else was doing. His brain was starting to hurt...and he had piles of other homework to do. So, he couldn't be here all night. BUT...the Captain would continue Jedi!training at some point.

"You've done well, Gi Adi Goon...but Darth Gargy is going to go nap real quick...and we're going to carry on with some regular training." He was even explaining the situation to his gargoyle. Totally considerate, Dylan knew. Leveling his wand on the black painted gargoyle, he whispered "Finite.", watching as the life left the small object at once. Putting him and his light saber away, the Slytherin was able to just focus on the one.

"What shall we do now?" He openly contemplated for a moment before smirking. "I know...Do you want to try to do handstands?" Could they do that? Surely if he coached the small thing on how to position his arms and whatnot...and distribute his weight..."Okay, let's try it...and if it doesn't work, we'll try something else, yea?"

Settling back, he eyed Gi. "Jump onto your hands."

As he'd expected, there was some problems at first. The gargoyle couldn't seem to get the momentum right for hopping onto his hands. "...It's okay. You can try again..."

Alice was there. You know, for OWL studying.

Because she was a fifth year. She did that now.

Except Dylan was there, too, with his gargoyles (as in plural? How did he get two of them? Duplication, maybe?) which were holding little sticks (which she was going to assume were Muggle things) and going at it like fencers or something. What even? Alice didn't ask, only went and sat by him and WATCHED the the little statues. Studying could wait, she was observing fights between stone figures at the moment, thanks.

It was almost time to finish up, anyway...and because of that...the Slytherin Captain decided to just go with some really basic movements. It was weird to go from Jedi-level difficulty to something rather mundane...but it was what it was.

First up? Jumping.

Gi had stumbled quite a bit when he'd been up against Gargy...but that had been mostly walking and running around...So, this would be good practice. Also, they'd probably be using jumping for the circus thing. So, all in all...Win win.

"Gi, jump!"

Dylan watched with careful eyes as the figure did as it was told. "Continue to jump!"...The smile on his face grew as he seen the height Gi was getting after each jump. Practice was making perfect. "That's very good!" Yep, he was excited for his gargoyle.

Next? Cartwheels.

It was kinda advanced...and kinda simple. A perfect combination of the two things. "Gi...this next move is tough. Are you ready? Nod." When Gi nodded, the Slytherin smirked. It was hard to argue with the boss. "Good, good. Now, do cartwheels." DO ET.

...but instead of doing them immediately, the gargoyle just looked confused. Merlin..."Here. Do your legs like this...Right, right...And arms like this, throw your weight over." Dylan patiently went through the steps of what it was to do a cartwheel. Finally, he got it right. "Nice!" Mini!fistbumps for you...

Suddenly, his watch alarm was going off!

Damn, he'd forgotten! Tryouts.

Getting his notebook and stuff up, he leveled his wand one last time on the gargoyle, whispering another "Finite." Watching the statue go lifeless, he tucked it back in its little box and put it down in his bag...all snug-like. "We'll do some more stuff later, Gi."...and he'd update his notebook with stuff for Professor Bellaire.

Standing, he quickly left the library...dashing down to the pitch.

The animating spell had worn off again so Ethan picked up his gargoyle and took a few steps towards the study tables. He still had the books he had pulled off the shelf tucked under one arm as he had an idea in mind that he wanted to try. His gargoyle had been getting better at those somersaults so he thought he'd try something a bit more difficult.

On the floor next to one of the tables, Ethan created a sort of see-saw with the books and set the gargoyle on one end. "Ready to be a real acrobat?" he grinned at the gargoyle before pulling his wand. "Piertotum Locomotor," he commanded as he waved his wand over it and he noticed it come to attention. "Somersault!" he cried as he pushed down on the other end of the book see-saw to send the gargoyle flipping through the air.

He watched with anticipation hoping that the gargoyle would somersault through the air and land on the table.. but it did not. It did somersault through the air on his command - that part was cool. But it did not have quite enough height to the launch and instead of landing on the table, it crashed into the side of the table. Ethan cringed on impact and watched the poor little thing fall to the floor. Oops. He quickly checked over the gargoyle and the side of the table.. nothing seemed chipped or broken. It was a cool little trick though.. just needed more practice.

Oakey figured singing to his Gargoyle would probably not be the best idea right now in front of everyone at the Library table, or in the library in general. For now he'll just pack things up and head on out. "Monkey, Walk to the edge of the table." The small gargoyle placed both hands down and started to move over to the edge, as he did Oakey grabbed his box and held it just below the edge as well until his gargoyle stopped. "Dive, Monkey!" the stope figure leaped and extended it's arms out until it was pointed down and fell into the box.

Feeling rather completed with todays work. Oakey stuffed the box back into his bag and left the library. Today deserved a good walk around the grounds.

*With his arms loaded with books Romulus found a free table and sat down. He liked the library the most at Hogwarts. Making sure to keep a book in front of his face he started to read. Behind the book he was sporting a black eye. So far he was hiding the hit very well. The last thing he needed was for his cousins Cece or Zoe to find out, or worst of all his older brother Jacen. With having to pay to get in anywhere bullying was at a major high and Rom didn't want to be seen as the weak kid.
Reading over the book he tried to let the knowledge soak in.*

Pushing a book trolley ahead of him the librarian steered his steps towards the seating area section of the library. Like most of the library the seating area showed signs of not being cleaned in a long time and was that creature droppings? Sighing loudly Leo proceeded into a section where a blond boy was sitting alone at one of the tables.

"Good day!" he greeted with a warm smile. "What are you reading?" Craning his neck to see title of the book he soon gave up. He was too far away.

*Hearing a voice he waited a minute to see if they were talking to someone else. When no other reply came Romulus tried to steady himself. This voice sounded like it came from an adult. Great. Stay calm and don't put your book down. He thought to himself.*

"M-magical Plants and Properties, sir. Is the library closing or is it not okay that I read this?"

*Yeah, don't sound overly nervous Rom, good job. He thought.*

Taking up a few books from the trolley Leo went the little extra way by putting the books back in the proper shelf and in the right order by hand. The magic in the library worked fine but he liked the satisfaction of putting books back where they belonged.

Hearing the boy's response he turned to him again. "Of couse you can read about plants and their properties. I was just curious to hear what you were reading. Do you like Herbology?"

As an afterthought Leo added "The library isn't closing for many hours yet."

*So far so good Romulus thought. A little polite chit chat and he'd be on his way. He was so worried that he had stopped reading the words on the page.*
"A-a little... It's very interesting..."
*He sighed even more hearing that he still had a good few hours left. Normally he would have just checked his watch but that was taken during the Knut raid and when he got his black eye.*
"Was just wondering. Don't want to be a bother and get kicked out... T-t- this is my favorite place in the whole school."

The thud, however, was enough to rip his attention away from the story. Not caring who it was that dropped that book, Aidan raised himself a little to go help, but the girl seemed fine on her own, so he went back to reading.

...Until there was movement like...RIGHT next to him. He didn't know if it was the same person or something new, but he chanced a glance up at them. And his heart started beating a little faster.

It was Lotus. This...was awkward. Did she not notice who she sat next to? His eyes were quickly on his own book and he scooted his chair an inch or so away from her. She could sit there. No problem. He wouldn't bother her at ALL, though. Nope. Not taking that bait.

Then again, Lex had said that she wanted to sort things out. Which, honestly, didn't help his nerves in this situation. They'd tried that before with the marble, remember? And the ice cream? And no matter what, Lottie never gave him a second, third, ANY chance. He hadn't even gotten a first that he could remember.

Nervously, Aidan chewed his lip and scratched his head...Only to freeze when she said 'hi'. TO HIM. And she used his name, too, so...she knew what she was doing. She wanted to do this. We're not going to lie, she was taken off guard with that big smile he gave her. Was he onto something? Lottie couldn't help but smile a tiiiiiny bit (it was almost unnoticeable, almost), but decided to look toward her books for a moment. Her hand softly caressing the Ancient Runes one.

"Listen, Aidan...," well, he was already looking at her, so 'listen' was the most appropriate word, "...I'm going to be completely honest with you." This last bit she said with her eyes on him again. If you're going to be honest with someone, then you might as well look them in the eye, right? Right.

But, she took her time in selecting words. Her hand still stroking the book's cover.

The thing was...she didn't know how to begin. It seemed like she's done this with Aidan so many times before and she was blanking on everything. "I remember what I said last term...," surely he remembered as well, "...and I'm actually sorry I failed to keep my word." THIS WAS THE GREATEST APOLOGY EVER, AIDAN STONE. "No one is perfect, though," except, well, she might be, but not right now. "I'm not, and neither are you," TRUE, it served her former statement. "I don't understand why your imperfection annoys me," she was supposed to be apologizing, wasn't she? "But sometimes it does."

She definitely got sidetracked.

Or not? "You're actually a nice boy the rest of the time. And we may not see eye to eye on...many things, but I have to agree with you on the Kaiden situation." Cue small smile. And that was especially important with Lotus because she didn't like it when he talked anyway. Aidan wouldn't say anything, because he was a good listener, but it just wasn't nice to point out that people weren't perfect. Especially when you didn't say why they were imperfect. Sure, Aidan wasn't the BEST in everything, but he didn't know what parts of him weren't 'perfect'. And though he could probably point out Lotus' flaws...he wouldn't. Because that wasn't nice!

He definitely smirked when she admitted he was right about Kaiden, too. He WAS right! He was right about something and even Lotus Wisteria couldn't deny it! Although Aidan didn't know Kaiden much...he didn't find his firm refusal to accept Felix as a kneazle amusing in any way. It was RUDE, actually. He'd learned about rudeness. The Ravenclaw nodded his head to show her that he understood. He wouldn't say a word. Promise.

And remember Lottie not being nice? She admitted just that! The boy's smile grew. She could be mean, but at least she knew she was mean. That was progress! You couldn't learn to change until you accepted what was wrong, right?!

He didn't quite catch onto the fact that Lotus finished her apology right away. So for a few long moments, they sat in silence, Aidan with a grin still on his face. One that didn't go away. "It's okay, Lotus, we can start over again if you want!" Basically everything was muddled in his mind right now, but it would probably sort itself out later. The important thing was, Lex was right and Lotus was apologizing and he wasn't going to stop her. They could be friends!

He was so...forgiving, though. That had to be an unexpected quality in a stubborn Ravenclaw. Lottie still smiled, "Thank you, Aidan," the excitement in his face was definitely strange, though, "We're in the library, though...," so, remember to keep your voice down? Yes, thanks.

Another reminder: Try to remember everything Lottie said today, you may use it against her someday. Perhaps, we don't know.

"I'm sorry I interrupted your reading...," eyes on the book. What had he been reading? "...what's it about?" Yes, she was naturally interested. Books, you know?

For a moment, she thought someone had petrified Aidan somehow, since he was completely frozen and still holding that same smile. Er...did she kill him somehow? THIS is why you don't apologize to others.

He was so...forgiving, though. That had to be an unexpected quality in a stubborn Ravenclaw. Lottie still smiled, "Thank you, Aidan," the excitement in his face was definitely strange, though, "We're in the library, though...," so, remember to keep your voice down? Yes, thanks.

"I'm sorry I interrupted your reading...," eyes on the book. What had he been reading? "...what's it about?" Yes, she was naturally interested. Books, you know?

"You're welcome, Lotus." But, really, she was doing him more of a favor. "And thank you!" ...Not for pointing out they were in a library, though. He knew that already, silly. Did they not just agree upon him not being thick? Aidan knew where he was. The library. The nice, quiet library with a nice view and someone to talk to! And almost, maybe, one-day-will-be friend!

What was he reading?! OH, LOTUS! The boy quickly picked up the cover so she could read it. "It's very good," he nodded. So he was recommending it. She should read it, TOO. "It's about this wizard and this witch and they go on an adventure after they graduate and they meet this squib who asks a favor of them, which leads to MORE adventure!" Terribly exciting! "And difficulties, of course, because the squib can't do magic, obviously, and gets stuck and trapped and stuff a lot! You should read it, too!" He was hardly halfway through, but could only IMAGINE how WICKED the ending was going to be!

The moment Aidan mentioned the wizard and the witch and the entire plot, Lottie thought of Alec and Ella. They just needed to find a Squib. Why? Because that's the only way they could take up an adventure, right? And they're both so open to doing favors for others. So nice.

Lottie wanted to say: 'Oh, it's so great you're finally reading', but she already knew he could read, you know? They were in the same place as last time, actually.

"I hope they don't end up dead." She couldn't help it. Airey's fault. Her timeline was darker thanks to the Astronomy Professor. But, really, adventures? She liked adventures and new and exciting things! "Hey, do you think I can borrow it once you're done?" Well, what do you know, talking about books with Aidan was not half bad, and she didn't have to pretend or anything, "Don't tell me they die if they do, okay?" Because that was the ultimate spoiler.

We have a question, though. "Have you been spending lots of time with Lex?" Reasons, we have them.

Taking another book from off the trolley Leo put it back in its right place. Glancing back at the blond youth as he spoke Mr Kitridge encouraged. "If you find a subject interesting you should take time to broaden you knowledge in it. Have you tried participating in the Herbology Task Force Professor Bentley hosts?"

Gesturing with a thumb to the book trolley at his feet Leo asked "Would you like to help put the books back on the shelves?" Eyes widening slightly he shook his almost in astonishment. "No, no you will never get kicked out for reading a book in the library, unless its a book you shouldn't be in possesion of." Like a book from the restricted section.

They'd die so AWESOME! Like falling into a volcano or something!!" He almost WANTED them to die now! But that would also be sad. And they'd have gone through too much to die.

"Yeah!" he beamed, happy that Lotus was actually interested, "But I need it back when you're done because it's my mum's." So she couldn't let anyone else borrow it. Unless they asked him first! He would definitely let someone else borrow it if they asked him! He hadn't planned on bringing it back to Mum until the Christmas holiday, anyway. And if someone was reading it then, he could just wait til summer to take it home! Or owl it!

It would all be okay anyway because it was a good book and EVERYONE should get a chance to read it!

That was odd. This blond boy was the first student Leo had met that had when asked to help out preferred to read instead. And why was the boy stammering? Cocking his head to side slightly he asked kindly "Is everything all right?" Leo hadn't scared him, had he?

*More panic flooded Romulus at the next question. He had given himself away that something was not fine at all. His brain raced around trying to form the words he needed to convey his lie of being fine. Nodding his head yes, even though the man couldn't see it, Romulus replied.*
"Y-yes, s-s-sir. I'm just fine, th-thank you."
*Even hearing himself speak Romulus knew he sounded the opposite of fine. Maybe he could hold out just a little longer and the librarian would let him escape unseen.*

Of COURSE it's alright if they die as long as it's awesome, Lotus!! "Yeah! Cause it has to be worth it!" Otherwise it's just sad and...Aidan didn't do sad endings. Those were stupid. Boring. He liked epic adventures where people saved the world in the end!!!! But, seriously, "I don't think they'll die." People didn't die in books he read. And his MOM gave this to him. Would she give him a book with a stupid ending? No.

"Good." So he should be able to give it back to his mom over the Christmas break. And, of course, he could trust Lotus not to...mess it up or do anything to it that would make his mom mad. Then again, his mom trusted him with it and he wasn't the most careful so...maybe she didn't care about this book as much or something.
