"I think I'll pass for now, dear," she let the boy down gently with a pat to the shoulder. "Why is everyone eating syrup though? Is this some kind of project?" Hmmmmmm? She might not have approved of the syrup, but she did think the bedazzled cauldrons were a nice touch.

Hearing his name and then a certain nickname of his made the boy turn his head towards the sound of the voices. He knew who both of those voices belonged to but the sight of them still made the boy GRIN AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE.

"CURLY WADE!" Yeah, that nickname was staying. It was perfect for the fellow hair ruffler! "CANDY GIRL!" He levitated his cauldron and bounded over towards them, as happy as can be. And they were going to try each other's syrups? AWESOME. He wouldn't even mind if they had duplicate syrup flavours; it would just mean that they'd get more syrup, yeah? YEAH!

"I hope you two like caramel on your ice cream!" He certainly did. "And... which flavours do you two have?"

Also... looking further... was that the girl he had been talking to in Potions? Annabeth, right? And she was sitting next to... the guy from Care of Magical Creatures! Alec waved at them, making a mental note to head over and say hey afterwards. Or... they could come over and meet him. He really didn't mind because ICE CREAM and SYRUP and ICE CREAM.

Oh...my...goodness...she was walking towards him. His new sadness had momentarily lifted and he smiled brightly at the Headmistress. "The syrup is from potions class. We made it during class and our homework, yes homework, was to come here at eat it."

Scooping up yet another heaping spoonful of marshmallow syrup, Asher spoke just before cramming his little 12 year old mouth full, very full "Isn't that about the neatest end of year homework assignment? "

After swallowing his giant mouth full, he asked "Are you sure you don't want any? I made some of the marshmallow syrup and it really is good." He really couldn't imagine why anyone would pass on having ice cream topped with SUGAR!!

"I'm siiiiiiiiiiiiinging in the rain, just siiiiiiiiiiinging in the rain! What a glooooooooooorious feeeeeeeeeeeeelin' I'm haaaaaaaaaappy again!" Airey sang as he entered the Great Hall in a shower of rainbow sprinkles that he himself was tossing over himself to, well, make it rain. One could NOT have an ice cream party without sprinkles after all.

Manly skipping towards the crowd, he passed by the Headmistress and gave her a quick salute of a greeting before continuing forward. He WAS still mad about her abandoning Pebbles, but for whatever reason found it impossible to focus on that for longer than.....OH ICE CREAM!

"I WANT THE WORKS!" he exclaimed as he threw more sprinkles all over the place. Meaning that he wanted ice cream with aaaaaaaaaaaall the syrup flavors. Party over here, party over there, party in his mouth!

Cassia made it!! Lex bounced as she watched her best friend make her way over to her. She was just as excited about this homework. It reminded her of the charms one where all they had to do was give ice-cream away! She LOVED these Professors!!!

"Oh oh oh!!!! Try my syrup!!! It's really good and while you're at it I want to try some of yours, so far these all taste good!!!!" Finished that bowl and got herself a whole nother bowl of ice-cream this would be fantastic, all the ice-cream in the world was probably in this room. Like legit! It was like she died and went to ice-cream heaven!

"Bet you don't wish this was more complicated huh?!?!?!?!"

"Hellooooooooooooooooooo Headmistress!!!!!" Alexa bounced over to her with an extra bowl of ice-cream in hand and some of her chocolate syrup on it. "I didn't know you were coming for the party, you came just in time everyone's sharing so you can just ask to have a taste of everything if you'd like--the toppings are over there I could get you some or something though I don't know what you'd like, they have nuts but you don't like those--HERE, HAVE SOME ICE-CREAM!"

With that, she shoved the bowl toward her with a wide grin! This was the best thing eeeevvvveeeeeerrrrr...

Even if it was starting to make her feel a bit funny. Maybe she just needed more ice-cream.

CARAMEL!!! NEAT!!!!!

" I DOOO like that!!!! Could you put some on my ice-cream for me???" She beamed and handed her bowl to him. It was a NEW bowl of ice-cream because she'd finished the first but still needed more. This stuff was addicting and she was in no way about to fight it.

"I have chocolate, naturally, and I bet you'll like it. Here lemme give you some!!" She held out her hand to accept his bowl.

Her ice-cream syrup was delicious, no matter how much of it she ate she wanted more. This was probably better than the ones down in the kitchen!!! Maybe she'd try some with the regular one???

"Professor Airey!!! Please try my syrup!!!"

Lex shouted from her table in the Great Hall. He looked like he was out to have some serious ice-cream indulging thing going for him and she was happy to help even as she ate her own ice-cream. This was the first time they were allowed to keep more than just a phial of what they brewed and so good too because CHOCOLATE!!!

He was gonna try hers, right?

He haaaad to.

Reaching the Great Hall, West went right up to professor Lafay and spoke quietly. "Professor I brought mine in flasks in case we have to force feed anyone." He held them up. "I thought it might be easier if it comes to that." He got it. He figured out what was going on and what the potion was an antidote to, but also he was totally aware at how ridiculous the ice cream infected people WERE. And how they weren't all exactly.... enthused with doing what they were supposed to.

He paused and then added, trying to be discreet about what he figured the potion was supposed to do, "Dylan had us not eating ice cream for Quidditch." Paaaaaaause, "So... should I still have some syrup myself? Um... now that Quidditch is over?" Because he hadn't eaten the ice cream.

Cat was DELIGHTED to see her cauldron change and be all pretty and party like. Wasn't that like super awesome? She was glad she picked marshmallow cause the marshmallow cauldrons were the prettiest, obviously. Fist bumps were mentally sent out to all the other marshmallow pickers. WINNERS.

Alice was asking her all sorts of serious questions now and it was seriously harshing her ice cream vibes. Cat watched as a ladle-full of freshly made by studentses syrup was poured on her bowl of ice cream, which she had procured as soon as she stepped into the room.

"Maybe... eat around it? Or try to, anyway? I'm not really sure. Has anyone else eaten it yet?" She glanced at Alice and shrugged. It didn't seem like they were going to get away without trying it but she also didnt see any people forgetting things and going into hysterics..."OH. Alice. CAKE BITS." Yummyyyy. Cat was putting cake bits on her ice cream. She hooked her arm with the other girl's and tugged her in that direction.

Asher saw a boy he recognized waving toward him and Annabeth. Waving back, he called out "Hi!" and turned to Annabeth "Do you want to go and say hi with me?"

Oh Merlin, Cambridge had caught sight of her again. "I will... go check out the toppings, Alexa," Bunz swerved away from the girl's proffered bowl of ice cream and hurried over to the plain, plainest toppings ever. She picked up a tiny fragment of a crushed cookie. "Mmmm!"

Ewww how many kids' fingers had been in this bowl?! Bunz grabbed a napkin and hurriedly spat out whatever she had just put in her mouth, hoping Cambridge and the other ice cream addicts hadn't seen that.

Awar glided into the Great Hall when she heard that ice cream was to be provided. The staff had denied her any ice cream for the past day...week..month?? WHO CARES SHE FINALLY GETS TO HAVE HER ICE CREAM.

She served herself some delicious frozen treat with the special syrup the Professor provided. She sat near her buddies, "HEY GUYS. PLEASANT DAY WE'RE HAVING, YES?"

Anya lugged her cauldron in from the dungeons. It was heavy and her arms hurt, but she didn't care. She was happy. Why? Because of ICE CREAM!

When she entered the Great Hall it became all... bedazzled. AHHSUM!

She set her cauldron next to Jake. She then got to work building a sundae. She actually wanted a few of them. Her first one though... maybe... cookie crumbles? That sounded good.

What can he say? He was beaming in approval as Lexy Pexy was sharing the wealth. He wanted to too! Now what was better than the current Ice cream to Wade? Nothing, but seeing one of his besties, Alec was a very close second. Positively beaming back at his new nickname. He held his head back slightly while laughing. "CURLY WADE! Ahahaha, I love it!" Quickly, grabbing his shoulder for the haaaaair ruffffle before letting him go. "Here mate, have a niceee heelping of chocolate syrup!" He then poured some mooore chocolatey goodness syrup in the shape of a happy smiley into a fresh bowl of ice cream for him.

Oh, and his caramel? Suure thing. "Yeah, yeah, go on and pour some in!" His bowl was climbing in toppings faster than he was finishing it off. After a couple scoop, he held his bowl out for some of that syrup. Go on and pour.

Whatt's this? Raining Sprinkles? "AWESOME!" Wade's eyes seem to sparkle at the rain surrounding the suited Professor. "Professor Airey! Come have a taste of our syrups! They're great with the ice cream, not as great as the pickles, but just as good and tastey! You could even have sprinkles in this too!" *BEAM*

Annabeth nodded at Asher, her mouth filled with nuts and syrup. The mixed flavours syrup gave the nuts an especial taste. Yummmm... Yummmmm...... But the ice cream was still ice cream. Definitively she hated ice cream, and if she eat just the syrup?

"Asher, I've seen you around the common room too!" She smiled, nodding again. Yummmm Yummmmm.... "I don't like ice cream, but our syrups mixed have a wonderful taste! You should taste it!" And she offered him a spoonful of her own bowl.

She waved back at Alec. She was happy that she could talk to him again, he had been so kind helping her in Potions. Asher wanted to join him:

"That's a great idea! Let's go! I just want to help myself to a bowl of syrup with nuts and so we can join him." She stood up and waited for Asher go with her.

Minerva felt better just being away from those dungeons. She was away from those horrible horrible dungeons. Her robe was burned, her arm was red, but she was away from that horrible dark place and she was away from a classroom with wacka doodle Tillstorm and Psycho side kick Lafay. As she walked into the Great Hall she noticed her cauldron had changed to the coolest party style and soon she saw the ice cream and all other thoughts left her.


Ice Cream.. Lafay wasn't playing a trick it was actually ice cream and look..look right there.. "HEADMISTRESS.. YOU ARE HERE..." She flew over to the headmistress and greeted her, maybe for protection as well.. She still felt like Tillstorm was following her. Her brain screaming for Truebridge not to ever ever leave her alone when this combo was together. "Are you here for the ice cream party.. Please stay you can have some of my awesome chocolate syrup for your ice cream.. I love LOVE to share.." Yes please staaaaayyyyy for the love of Merlin stay.

Bouncing in she saw Wade, "KITTY" Kitty would protect her.. Yes she would be fine with Ethan, Kitty, and the headmistress here. No way were the wacka doodle twins getting to her. Looking at Ethan her smile went to just a small smile... Was he going to flip about her eating the ice cream again. "We.. we have to try this, right?" Was there going to be another fight, because she couldn't do another fight and another maybe break conversation.. She bounced looking back and forth from the bowls to Ethan.. PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEE Ethan please...

Ohhhh. More ice cream. Tag would never let the chance of having some ice cream escape his sight. He had headed to the great hall to go enjoy some more. The blonde looked around the syrup choices and finally decided on the creamy caramel, and then did a fancy zig zag design and added the smooth butterscotch. Yes. This would be excellent. Afterwards he went to go check out the toppings.

"Ohhhh. Gummy worms, and gummy bears, and SPRINKLES! FIZZING WHIZZ BEES!" Tag piled a whole lot of all those toppings onto his ice cream. An, of course, to finish off this delicious treat Tag plopped one cherry on the very tip of the ice cream! He then stared at it a few seconds before stuffing his face with the creamy dessert and gummy worms and gummy bears, sprinkles and his fizzing whizz bees!

The Professor looked happy enough.

"HI PROFESSOR!" Marigold yelled. Ice cream makes people so happy.

Marigold decided to say hi to Lesta, only to realize she looked really sad.

"Oh no! Are you okay?" she asked hurriedly. She grabbed her bowl of DELICIOUS ice cream YAY with caramel sauce and took her first bite.

Oh hey she was walking away.

"OKAY!!! I hope you enjoy the iccceeee-creeeeam!!' She yelled after her. It really was wonderful, she just wished the woman had tried some of her syrup before she left--

This was worth her GRADE! There were points at stake! "Headmistress! You forgot to taste my syrup!!" She yelled, hurrying after her with a ladle full of the stuff. She was meant to taste it. That's what the Professor said.

Eeep! Anya and her own syrup!! They were both now next to Jake who she was also handing out syrup to...or well...trying to. "HAI ANYA!!! You wanna try my syrup?? I'll try yours tooooooooo!!!!" She said in a sing-song voice. Today was the best day ever and she wouldn't stop saying that...

Even if she couldn't help but notice a creeping feeling, one that was trying to tell her that today wasn't so great.

Nonsense! Ice-cream made any day wonderful, she would just have to keep telling herself that. Shouldn't be too hard.

YAAAAAAAAY!!! He would try her syrup!!!

Lex GRINNED up at him and took his bowl--this seemed real familiar, didn't it Professor?--then began pouring on some of her chocolate syrup. He would really like it. She couldn't get enough, in fact, she was coming to the end of her second bowl!!! "That's a neat song you got there too!!!!" And there was mooooore grinning.

"Here you go!!! Be sure to tell me what you thiiiiiiink." Though she already had some idea. It was delicious!!!

"Jelly slugs are by that table over there! I've never had them in ice-cream but if Alice says they're good then they're worth a try!!"

Carrying his cauldron, Ethan followed Minerva towards the Great Hall. A calming feeling came over him as he walked, still holding on to that shred of hope that this would be the answer he so desperately needed. The sight of the ice cream turned his stomach but he knew it was necessary so he tried to keep the calm expression on his face, even smiling a little as he saw how his cauldron had changed.

As they stepped inside, he kept his distance a little from the hyperness.. it still bugged him to no end.. but he was near certain that would be over soon so again, calm expression and nothing to say about it. He glanced around the room, noting faces that he knew were affected by the ice cream, and hoping that they would soon be cured. Of course.. he might still be paranoid in his thoughts, but after making the potion with the ingredients he used, he was sure he was not wrong.

He looked back at Minerva, mirroring her small smile as she spoke to him. Yes.. he wanted nothing more than for her to eat it this time, but he didn't want her suspicious of his intentions either. She needed to eat this syrup but he also knew how he'd been fighting her all term against her eating the ice cream. "Yes.. we do need to try this. No more fighting, okay? I know this is the assignment.. eat it and don't even feel guilty about it, alright?" He gave her a bigger smile. "But you know how I feel about it, so I'm not going to eat any, okay?" That should be alright, shouldn't it? She knew they couldn't see eye to eye, so if it was alright with him for her to eat it then it should be alright with her for him not to. "So, the assignment is to try each other's syrup.. would you like to try some of my decadent fudge?" That's what it said on his cauldron now, anyway..

______FLAVOR ENHANCING SYRUPS!

SKIPPIIIIING into the great hall, Medea followed her nooooose, even though she couldn't smell anything until she actually got close enough to the cauldrons. Ooooooh, they knew she was going to be there didn't they? They had butterscotch!! Her little mechanical spider followed after her, making a lot more "CLINK" and "CLANK" sounds than usual...as well as it was missing a leg...while she scooped a great big dose of ice cream in a bowl JUST FOR HERSELF. Ahem. WHAT. GASP!

"WHO HAS THE GUMMY BEARS??" WHOOO? She heard the words! Those little gummy candies were de-lic-ious!

As Kace made his way to the great hall, he noticed the Professor was there. He smiled and was glad he was here. Professor Airey was one of his favorite teachers. He put his cauldron down and hoped he would try some of his. He went over to him and plucked up the courage.

"Hi Professor, would you care to try some of my syrup? It is the marshmallow one if you wanted to know." he smiled toward him.



As Kace was done offering Professor Airey his syrup, he noticed Lesta! He made his way toward her and he noticed she was in a bad mood. Hmmm...maybe he should ask her. Yeah he would. He was her best friend after all. "Hey Lesta you doing alright?" he asked her brightly.

Then he noticed Mairgold with Lesta too. "Hey Mairgold! Do you know what is wrong with her?" he asked her.

Ella was here and her cauldron was here and apparently it had gotten sparkly since she'd brought it over from the potions classroom because it looked all fancy shmancy now. She wasn't complaining, though. It was really appealing to the eye. MHM! The blonde's green eyes widened a bit as she took in all the other sparkling cauldrons and all the toppings she'd be able to try. This looked...amazing! Truly! GRIN! Now to get some ice cream so she could get started! Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!

Filling a bowl FULL of delicious ice cream of many different flavors, the sixteen year old GRINNED and headed for the toppings first. They'd have gummy worms here, yeah? And...Oakey Worm wasn't going to complain about this, was he? But...how could he? ICE CREAM SUNDAE PARTY HOMEWORK! It was brilliant. BRILLIANT.

Now...where were those gummy worms?

"Wonderful" he said as he followed her to the toppings and syrup table. The mixture she was making did look wonderful.

After waiting for Annabeth to finish filling her bowl, he headed towards Alec. "Hi again" he greeted when they arrived. Asher plopped down near him at the table. "Are you enjoying the party?"



Noticing his friend from Divination, Asher called out "Hiya, Ella! You are welcome to join us after you get your ice cream and syrup." He hoped she would come over and at least say hi.

Minerva looked at him and just blinked.. and blinked... and blinked.. she could eat the ice cream... she could eat the ice cream.. SHE COULD EAT THE ICE CREAM. He wasn't going to get mad. They were done fighting over it.. HE WAS LETTING HER EAT IT!!! She bounced and jumped at him throwing her arms around him as she squealed with excitement. "I can eat the ice cream.. I can eat the ice cream.... I heard you right? " she turned to all the ice cream.. all the toppings.. and then back to him. "I can have this.. and no fighting.. no breaks.. no I'm done??" She was about to kiss him, but remembered that yeah professors and headmistress was there.


Turning back to the ice cream she got a bow. "No.. you don't have to eat it, but Lafay might get mad... Don'tmakehermad.. please... " No more fires.. no more bugs.. Just stay on her good side. She looked at Ethan begging before she turned back to the ice cream and bounced some more. "Oh I HAVE REESE CUPS.. KITTY... DO YOU WANT SOME!!!" yes she was yelling across the Great Hall for Wade, but he liked her Reese Cups. She pulled them out of her bag and crushed them over her ice cream. Then she looked back up at Ethan and smiled, "Oh course I'll try the syrup you made... I noticed you did chocolate.. My favorite." She took the syrup and poured all over her ice cream. Oh she probably should do her own syrup as well.


Now that she had both Ethan and her syrup on the ice cream she looked around.. "What has gotten into Lafay.. I'm still waiting on the trick.. Do you think she is poisoning us?" Just like the hair potion she wasn't sure, but she didn't wait for an answer. There was YUMMY YUMMY ice cream for her to eat. She took a big spoon full and shoved in her mouth. "Oh that is good.. That syrup helps it makes it even more yummier." Was yummier even a word, she didn't care she was so excited and happy, this was just amazing and fun!

When Kace was done talking to Marigold and Lesta, he noticed his captain walking in the great hall. Then Kace remembered he needed ice cream to taste everyone else's! *face palm*

He got some Vanilla ice cream and saw ALL the toppings. Oh...my...lanta...there was SOOO much to choose from. His blue eyes widened with the prospect that he could choose whatever he wanted. He was gonna have a HUGE sugar rush.

Before he got his topping he noticed Ella. She was on the hunt for something. Maybe he shouldn't bother her but he would ask her anyways. "Hey Ella! Do you mind if you would try my Gooey Marshmallow syrup when you are up to it?" he asked with his adorable charm. It might earn him a hair ruffle but he liked her hair ruffles.
