Thank Merlin Ella was in the habit of thinking about what she said before she said it these days because the blonde nearly replied but that's why you love me. Yeah...that would have killed this friendship thing they were doing right now. Instead she settled with, "I'm okay with that." Because that was true and all the best people were at least a little crazy. She laughed as he nicked some of her ice cream, shaking her head at him. "It was totally good, right?" Right.

Ella thought about Theo's reply and nodded, a small smile on her face. She supposed the not giving up thing was important and she'd keep that in mind from now on. He got a beam back and then an eye roll because she knew he wasn't being serious about going easy on them. "No need. We'll be prepared." Grin. They clearly wouldn't be going down without a fight. Badgers weren't made that way.

Great besides the blizzard, Ella thought as she continued with her ice cream. She looked up again and shrugged, not sure where to even start with a question like that. "Um...I've been studying for OWLs mostly." That and quidditching but he already knew about that part. "Oh and um...my Dad invited his girlfriend to move in with us so that's new." Really new, actually. Theo was the first person she'd told and honestly, she didn't even know how she felt about it. Shrug. "What about with you?"

Okay with being crazy? Hmmm interesting. "I've had better." Not that he was hating on ice cream or anything, but Hogwarts food just wasn't up to scratch this year. But it could feel like that because the place is so dirty, too. Theo did not approve of the dirt. "How's Alec?" Theo asked casually as he poured himself a drink. The ice cream kinda reminded him of Alec, too, you know.

"Sure." Theo smirked a TINY bit.

"Oh yeah!" He'd totally forgotten that fifth years had to do those. Gosh, next term, HE would be a fifth year, so that definitely meant he had to pull his socks up in lessons. "How's that going?" Because now he was anxious. Theo took a bite from his sandwich and looked at her properly when she mentioned about her dad's girlfriend moving in. Oooh, touchy subject. "Is she nice?" He decided to ask a simple question first to be safe. Hmmm, not much was going on with him actually... nothing other than the usual anyway. "Not much really. Other than Quidditch and I'm TRYING to read more books." But that was an impossible task almost.

Honestly, Ella had had better too. She wasn't about to say so, though. All ice cream was lovely and yummy and she was going to finish her entire bowl and maybe even go for seconds. Mhm! The blonde couldn't help but smile at the mention of Alec but she tried to dial it down a bit for reasons. "He's really good." Nodnod. "Busy too." With studying which seemed to be taking over everyone's lives lately. "And Dora?" Ella took a sip of her own drink and watched Theo, head tilted to the side.

That smirk? Ella replied to it by simply sticking her tongue out at the snake. Yup, maturity for the win. Heh.

"It's overwhelming." The studying was. Ella felt like her brain might explode with all the facts she'd been cramming in there lately. She bit her lip and looked down, realizing she might be freaking him out a bit. "Not that it's the worst thing in the world. If you stay on top of things, you'll be fine." Y'know, next term and stuff. Ella took a bite of her ice cream and considered that question for a moment or two. Was she nice? "Um...she is, yeah." Which was good. It was just weird having another lady around. And Theo was trying to read more? "That's good. I have some mysteries that Sir Treyen sent me if you're into that sort of thing. I could loan you some if you want." Just saying.
