Forrest almost FELT someone looking at him, and upon turning his head he found the girl.

Waving at her, he smiled shakily.

"I'm... Forrest." Best way to start a conversation and find out what was wrong, no?





"You're from the US originally?" Forrest blurted out. He didn't even have time to realise this was probably rude. He knew via Amelia that Australia's wizarding school wasn't as good, but it was surprising to see someone from the US. Maybe she had to. He shrugged to himself. It wasn't his place to jump to conclusions anyway.

...why would someone with magical ability want to live as a muggle? Wizards had the same technology and even better opportunities, no?

"Yes, I'm surprised about many things," he admitted distractedly, still thinking about her mother. But it'd be utterly rude to question her decision, so...

..."Which grade are you?" To decide whether to be more respectful, or on the friendlier side and all.





Pureblood. Yeah. Forrest'd have liked that, so he wouldn't have to deal with being surprised at the smallest wizard thing. He was silent for a moment, listening to his stomach's grumbling. Would they eat any time soon?

She didn't hear that LOUUUUUD noise, did she? 'Cos that'd be pretty embarrassing.

So, he'd better speak to drown the noise.

"Well, I, uh..." He frowned some more as he looked in front of him. "What are house elves?" Might as well start with that.

She was listening to Lottie, of course she was, how else would she have heard that Lottie went to the library instead of staying in her Common Room? Jgbfkgff!!! The madness of it all! It was one thing to not like your Common Room but why the library? It was so...quiet there and the books threatened you, like legit, they did!!! "That sounds terrible. How do you study in there?" It was just so...odd...

She knew colours could make you do crazy things but the library?? Wait--the library and studying??? Blink. This was why she stuck with blue. Blue never made her do things like that. Nope. Just look at her blue bracelet. It never had her doing crazy things and she never took it off...except for baths and stuff. Pffft, she totally didn't pinch the baby for touching it over the summer either. Nope. No proof of that. Mooooving on.

OH! "I'll say! And I don't even think it's only happening with Ravenclaw!" She could almost roll her eyes at the memory now that Lottie mentioned it. "I swear, half the firsties at our table don't even wanna be in Gryffindor. I can't even. It's so...so irritating. I think someone was even crying. Real heart of a lion if you ask me." Scowl. Apparently none of them had heard about house pride and she couldn't very well hammer it into their heads...too many witnesses. Oh but there was Michael! He had LOTS of house pride!!! "Do your new firsties act like Puffers?"

Heeeyyyy, her face was returning to normal. This was good stuff.

She wouldn't mind?? How could she not?? STAIRS!!! She was about to say something to go with her wide eyed look but then Lottie changed her mind. Lex sighed. "I swear, if they do, I'm just gonna skip breakfast. It doesn't seem worth it." NOT with all that walking!

Almost immediately after the Headmistress finishes her speech, the tables in the Great Hall are suddenly filled with food. But the first thing you will notice is that the food doesn’t seem to have its usual deliciously glowing aura about it. The food seems rather mediocre at best. In fact, the chicken is dry and flavorless, the mashed potatoes are a sloppy, boring mess, the broccoli hardly seems cooked at all - and there’s not even cheese on it! And on top of that, the butterless bread looks more like bricks of charcoal. Not only does the food look and taste somewhat unappetizing, there’s hardly any variety.

On the bright side, there’s loads of ice cream! Bowls and bowls and bowls of ice cream have appeared along the center of the table amongst the lousy dinner dishes. Good thing your mother isn’t here to make sure you eat your undercooked broccoli before dessert!

Annabeth raised her head and looked at the girl who was talking to her - the girl was chatting with several people at the same time, indeed; and she seemed to be very excited as everybody was. Do you really want to know if I'm alright? She thought, but didn't dare to ask it, Annabeth smiled sadly instead and noticed the girl was smiling back. "So, you're Minnie. Nice to meet you. I'm Annabeth, but you can call me Bee." She tried smiling, but was afraid that her smile could be interpreted as a dog who was showing its fangs. "Um... I'm not quite well today,I'm going to be sick, I guess."
And looking at the food: "Is this what you call food? It seems worse than my Mom's."

"Oooh, I'd like to visit Tennessee someday! Sounds wonderful!" Traveling had made her unbelievably excited for new places. She was just as confused about the future as Awar was. It was almost comforting. "Whatever you'll turn out to be, I'm sure you'll be more than wonderful at it." Encouraging Smile!! It was kind of fun watching people in love talking about their significant other. Ahh, romance. It hits you right in the heart, literally. "Thanks, Minnie! I truly appreciate it!"



Oh, dear. Sports and Her don't really get along, but she'd try her best to have the young one be active in the school's activities. "Well as far as I know, we have Quidditch as a sport. But, we have loads of clubs and games offered here." Hope that helped. Probably not. She reached for a piece of bread, took a bite, scrunched up her face, put it down, and reached for a bowl of ice cream instead.

As Kace was listening to a fellow puffs advice, he took it to heart. "Thanks for the advice and i will try to introduce myself. I am not the most social person out there." he grinned sheepishly. "Have you been on adventures before?" he asked her. He was keen to know what to explore.

Kace did not mind meeting everyone but once the food was out, he did not want to talk to anyone. He never realized how hungry he was. He looked down at the food expecting it to be amazing...so what Belle said. Then he noticed it did not look so good. The chicken tasted dry as he took a bite. The mashed potatoes are sloppy and the broccoli is not cooked at all o.O. What is up with this? Did he bring bad luck?

Then he noticed there was a lot of ice cream. Kace could deal with that! I guess it is desert before dinner right? Kace decided to eat the ice cream and was filled with joy. Plus his sister or mom did not scold him. Yup he could get used to this.

After he was done eating his ice cream, he noticed Awar. She asked if his name was common. Kace could only chuckle. "Actually it isn't. My mom wanted me to be unique. The name actually means i am alert and watchful and it is Irish which i think it is pretty cool." he nodded towards her and smiled.

Ethan grinned as Minerva turned around and smiled at him. "Well, I don't want to shirk my duties," he responded with a wink of his own and slid into the seat next to her. "In that case, I might just stay a while." He could take a break from his welcoming all the new Ravenclaws - he was pretty sure sorting was over now anyway - and his table seemed calm enough for now.

Ethan had thought over the summer that there might be some changes.. but he wasn't expecting this. He glanced up at the staff table as she did. Magnus wasn't there..? He hadn't noticed that before, but now that she mentioned it, he didn't see her. That was a shame, he sort of liked the Transfiguration professor.. or former professor now, he supposed. "Oh.. I didn't expect to see Bellaire there," he mused aloud quite suddenly as he noticed her presence at the Staff table. "Didn't you say there was a new Charms professor?" he asked Minerva as he turned back to her. And no Scabior.. huh. Though he did notice two of the BoG peeps.. would they be acting professors now?? "You know better..? What do you mean?"

Someone to meet..? Ethan looked at Minerva curiously for a moment before he was pulled along the table with her. A newly sorted Hufflepuff from the look and sound of it. He smiled at the boy as Min started to introduce him, then turned a bit surprised. "Oh.. you're Belle's brother. She told me her little brother would be starting this year. She's a good friend of mine." He shook the boy's offered hand, mildly impressed with his manners. "Good to meet you Kace.. Welcome to Hogwarts."

A familiar face close at the table close to Kace then caught his eye. Oh, look who was a new Hufflepuff.. He sorta wondered if she had been sorted as she hadn't come to the Ravenclaw table, he wondered which table she belonged to. "Hey, Bay.." he greeted the girl with a smile. "Enjoying yourself?" Though she really didn't look to sure of herself.. lost a bit of the wonder she had on the train. Not that he blamed her, really.. things were weird today. "Congrats on your placement.. there are a lot of good people in Hufflepuff." His girlfriend being one.. and she had already met her.

Ethan's smile grew as Alec waved enthusiastically at him and he lifted a few fingers back in his own casual wave. The younger boy was always so friendly, you couldn't help but like the bloke. And he was pretty cool as far as Ethan was concerned. Grinning a bit, he gave Alec a nod of gratitude. "Hey, thanks, mate.." he said absentmindedly brushing his fingers over his badge at the mention.

"Great summer, actually," he answered, smiling still as he thought about it. "Min and I spent most of it together. I hung out with her in the US for a couple weeks, then she came to Germany with me for a while.." He kind of trailed off, wondering if Minerva already told him this, not wanting to bore the boy with repeated information. "How about you? Good summer..?"

Her frown remained in place as the older Hufflepuff tried to set her at ease. So this whole picnic vibe was just this year. Odd choice of themes but who was she to judge. The conversation turned to her own excitement and she smiled again. "I am! I can't wait to start learning magic and everything else to do with magic!" She couldn't wait to be able to use her wand!



Oooooo! Hugs! She didn't get them very often and loved when they came. Bay relaxed into Minnie as the older girl gave her a congratulatory hug. She was extremely happy to be in the same house with her. That meant if she had questions she knew where to get answers from. She laughed heartily along with Minnie. She was so happy!

Just as she mentioned Headmistress talking the very woman stood up and started rambling on. Bay wasn't quite sure what was said as she couldn't keep up. The promise of food at the end though kept her small body still....for the most part.



Whoa! Boy in the face! Bay smiled at the boy and his stammering. He looked about her age and as nervous as she was. Though she had to admit her looked a little more together than she was. "I'm Bay. Nice to meet you Kace. Did you want to get sorted into Hufflepuff?" She was just happy to have been sorted.



"Ethan!" Bay waved wildly at him, more than a little relieved to see a familiar face. "Thanks. I'm not sure what being a Hufflepuff means but I was just glad to get sorted." Being sorted meant she was actually a witch. There had been no mistake and she wouldn't have to go back to the orphanage.



As the tall lady finally finished talking food appeared on the table. Her stomach gave a rumble as she turned excitedly but her excitement soon diminished. Was this what passed for food in this place? Is this was everyone had been bragging about? The food in the orphanage was better than this rabble!

Bay picked up a piece of bread and tried to break it in half. When the bit of bread wouldn't break she banged it on the table a few times. Frustrated and hungry little puff dropped the breadrock on her plastic plate and put her chin in her hands. Great. Starving and nothing to eat.

Minerva was listening to Laura and laughed, “I guess weather just isn’t my thing. “ She smiled at her friend, but her smile turned to more of a curious look. Letter.. lovely guy, who was she talking about. She wasn’t around anyone all summer, so who would be writer to her.
She reached over and took the letter seeing Laura look upset, who on earth would make her upset. She read through the letter and looked at Laura dumbfounded. What was going on, when on earth did she start hanging out with DJ, was something else going on. So many questions, but Laura looked.. upset over this. “I’m sorry Laura, it looks like he isn’t coming back.”



Min chuckled at his reaction to the U.S. “Yes, the U.S, Tennessee actually. “ She wasn’t sure if he liked the States or what the reaction was for. “Have you been there before?” Maybe he had and that’s why he reacted that way. The States were a great place to vacation, she would recommend it at least.

Minerva laughed a bit, “Yeah I think that was an understatement for my first term. All the magic surprised me, plus the elves, and the other magical animals. It was all just so new and interesting, but it will all feel normal by the end of term.” She smiled at the first year encouragingly.

Oh had she not said her grade, how horrible dumb of her, “Oh I’m a sixth year, but I’m around the common room and the castle all the time, so if you need any help don’t be afraid to ask.”


Minerva heard the headmistress speech, did she say the elves were gone? So Min’s original thought was true.. Hmm what on earth was going on, well that was very odd. Looking around at the others reactions, she wasn’t’ sure what to think and now the new professors were board members, was that for them to be more involved or to watch things more closely, what was going on. She was so confused.
Her confusion got distracted when the food appeared. Looking at it Minerva frowned a bit, what was going on with the food. This wasn’t the typical food, but if the elves weren’t there then that was the reason. Minerva wondered if they were going to have issues with food the entire term. Minerva frowned, she liked to cook, maybe she could help somehow.


Minerva looked curious at the girl, the way she said so you’re Minnie. Did someone already say her name or something, why did it seem like she already knew her. Min shrugged it off like it was nothing, because really it could be. “Yes, I’m Minnie. It’s nice to meet you Bee.” She really hoped the girl was happy with her house choice and that wasn’t her reason for being sad, “Are you excited to be a part of Hufflepuff? We are a great house you know.” Well she thought so at least.
Oh she was sick, “Are you going to be alright? One the feast is over we will be back at the common room and you can get some rest, but if your feeling really bad, I could take you to the healer now at the staff table.” She didn’t want anyone sick on their first night at school, what fun was that. Then she looked at the table and frowned, [b] “Yeah, the food isn’t usually like this. This place is usually amazing. I guess there has been some issues this summer, like the headmistress just said, but don’t worry, I bet they will have it fixed soon.


Min liked hearing her say she would like to visit one day that was always awesome, people wanting to visit her home, “Well maybe next summer when I’m there you could come for a visit. It would be a lot of fun, and I would love to introduce my grandparents to more of my friends, but they are muggles.” She wasn’t sure if Awar knew that and it could be a deciding factor for some.
”Thank you Awar, that means a lot, I really do think I’m going to head toward the healer career though. I enjoyed working with people over the summer and the thought of helping makes it even better.” She knew she really enjoyed helping people, she tried to do it all the time here, but the thought of even saving a life, well that made her want to do it more.


Min smiled at Kace, “Well you will have plenty of times to get to be social here. Common room is a great place to meet your fellow badgers, right here tonight is another. I’ve been introducing myself to all the new puffs. There are a few at the other end of the table, you should go introduce yourself.” She always tried to encourage socializing, it was a great way to have fun.
Adventures..hmmm.. Astronomy tower exploring, Quidditch, the tree house, then there was the charming of the kitchen wall, clothing the ducks, going into the forest to help try to find a groundskeeper dog, chasing a man eating plant, “Yes, I have been on a few, but you will have many of your own throughout the years. One of my favorite places to go is the lake. I always enjoying hanging out there.” Belle might not like her telling all her adventures to Kace, so she figured she’d let him experience them on his own.

Minerva laughed at his comment and smiled as he slide next to her. Taking his hand in hers, she was so glad he had come over. She typically went to him, but didn’t want to this year, in fear of taking him from his duties, or not giving him time with his friends. So she was overly excited that he joined her this time. “Well as long as I’m not taking you away from your table I do hope you will stay.”
Min looked back to the staff table as he spoke, wait.. Bellaire was not in her normal seat, no that new professor was, “Yes, Professor Shirmer said her friend was taking over, Professor.. oh.. umm Knox I think it was.” That was it wasn’t it, Knox or was it Ivy? No that might have been the first name, well no matter, “She is a board member as well. I’m surprised the board members are being professors, don’t you think that might be well odd?” she wasn’t sure of the word she was looking for but it didn’t sit well that board members were professors, well unless it would have been Shirmer then she would have been very happy. Now back to Bellaire, she studied the table and a frown hit her face, “I think she is going to be transfiguration, she is sitting in Magnus’ seat.” It wasn’t that Min didn’t like her, it was more she was terrified of her and transfiguration was one of her favorite subjects, or correction maybe was, but Bellaire had never done anything towards Min, she respected the woman, just wouldn’t cross her at all. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad then, it was just going to be different without Magnus.
She looked up out of her own thoughts, “Oh I told you, Professor Scabiors had resigned. He works at some book thing, a publishing place I think. I have the letter in my trunk if you really want to know.” She was uninterested in the man, she was more concerned with everything else going on here.


Minerva smiled as the headmistress talked right when she told Bay about the speech. Leaning over she chuckled, “Don’t worry if you don’t understand most of it, you will catch on, but I’m sorry that it seems the dinner ware and most likely the food isnt’ going to be as good as it usually is.” That wasn’t fair to these first years. They should be getting the treatment everyone got, not just giving a bad start to term, but Minerva guess they didn’t know the difference so to them maybe it wasn’t a bad start, plus the older students were all there to greet them and make it a great night.
Turning back to Bay, “Once the feast is over we will head back to the common room, that’s where everyone hangs out when not in classes and not out in the castle. Plus it’s where you can access the girl’s dorm and your bed. I can help you get settled if you need.” Min had always been good at the big sister role with all her little badgers through the years, so no surprise she was already doing it to Bay, she just hoped she wasn’t suffocating the poor child.

The Slytherin let out a small giggle as she heard Forrest's stomach grumbled, though she wouldn't say anything considering if she was being honest, she was getting really hungry too!

House elves? Despite havin grown up in a house with house elves describing them was something Kahlan was finding pretty hard at the moment! of course it didn't help that she'd forgotten that muggles didn't have them

"Well they're really small... about three foot at most, have really big ears and eyes and they're also magical creatures" she started, crinkling her nose as she tried to think of what else to say. "They serve witches and wizards, a lot actually work here at Hogwarts and cook and clean and stuff but my family also has a few! They're really loyal as well... and they'll do whatever their owner asks really" she concluded with a nod, hoping that she'd explained them well enough for him to understand!

Then the food appeared only it left the blonde with even more questions as she though about how the house elves should've cooked it and she knew house elves were good at cooking!!!

Wait... House elves had resigned...?

"I don't know why they resigned though... normally house elves don't resign" in fact they normally couldn't resign could they?

She nodded, "Well, its a nice name. I like it." She ate a bit of her ice cream. "My dad wanted my name to be unique too. I don't think it means anything. I'm pretty sure, he just made it up." She was pretty sure it was made up.



"Yeah, the magic's the fun part!" She said as her hands automatically spirit-fingered."T his is what I love about being a wizard! So, much fun and endless abilities!" She said as she casually filled her cup with water by tapping her wand. Smirk.



Visit the States????? O_O WHAAA, "That would be awesome!!!" She thought of her poor older brother and him and being all alone and stuff. "Co-Could my brother maybe come too?" Maybe that's not okay. Maybe she doesn't like older brothers. "My grandparents are muggles too! Well, my mom's side of the family." And the cold war between the Santiagos and the Blacks continues silently. "I guess I can turn to you when I'm feeling sickly, yes?"

*Poor Romulus found a seat and slowly sat down in shock. Hufflepuff... That was where the his brother was. His older brother was stupid, mean, and a major flirt. Rom was smart, shy, and stayed to himself. How in Merlin's great wisdom could they be put in the same house!?
He could already hear his cousins Zoe and Cece saying things. It was a known fact that the Tilstorms were Slytherins. His cousin Cece was the prime example of the perfect Tilstorm. He was now dreading seeing his favorite cousin.

Trying to think of anything else but the current topic running around in his mind he noticed something. Before coming to the school Romulus had read every book about Hogwarts he could get his hands on. So he knew for the most part what to expect. Looking over the silverware he frowned a little. Where were the gold cups and plates? Never had he read about paper cups and plastic forks. Looking up he noticed the house flag was more than a little tattered. Sure the school was old but there was magic to fixing these things. Why the lack of tradition and up keep?*

Blue! There was Blue.

She would come and rescue him from the idiot that was Oakey Gunter. Theo ignored the very rude comment that he got from his bestie, but just hushed his voice to inform her of things. "I can't bloody move. Stupid head over here glued me to my seat?!" Yeah, it didn't come out as hushed as he had planned.

He wasn't sure if Blue could save him, though, since he rarely sat by her in classes so he didn't really know how good with magic she was.

She could try, though.

Because apparently his other bestie wasn't bothering at all. WELL FINE, NO BESTIE TIME FOR YOU LATER.

So now they were having an actual conversation? Good start to recovery he supposed. "You live in the United States don't you? Ariana had to be there for a month. She never contacted you?" Oakey was able to speak with her once before her Squib parents took her phone from her. If Minerva and her were best friends, then she'd had to have called the girl sitting nearby him.

Oakey raised an eyebrow to Minerva when she started talking about these idea's she had for Hufflepuff. "I'd run them by Hadley first." Oakey offered up. "She's our Head of House after all. She'll listen to whatever you're ideas are for sure." He shrugged his shoulders, and looked over to Renesmee as well. "If you want to talk to Renesmee, and I about it though, I don't see why not?"Hopefully Wimp wasn't going to be anymore trouble now. Oakey pocketed his wand and removed the glare from his face that he had been giving the Snake. "Well so far I've only gotten things into list form. Flamsteed wants the essay to be at least 6 inches in length." Oakey put his hand to his chin and started to think. "I think the first thing was that They're both about Outerspace. I also had this comparison to Pygmy Puffs to these things called Tribbles in their cult." Oakey continued to call this movement a Cult despite even Ella's protest that it was not. "Oh!" Oakey quickly blurted out, "One more thing that related was Flamsteed, and this guy named Captain Kirk. He leades this big Spaceship much like how Flamsteed runs Astronomy."

Theodore could work that into six inches couldn't he? He gave a smile to the Wimps aplogy even if he knew the Snake didn't mean it. Theodore hated him, that much he knew. No way that sorry was anything more than to avoid more trouble from Professor's or Staff.
Oakey quickly grinned again when Blue came over and requested Wimp to move. He was about to tell the Ravenclaw how Theodore wasn't permitted to leave his spot when Wimp spoke up himself. "So you apologize then call me stupid? Getting yourself unstuck to that chair may take longer, Wim...Theo."

He turned around and looked at Blue. "He's has to stay until he finished what he wrecked of mine." Oakey informed the girl whose name he was sure would change if she houses. "Groundskeeper's orders." Oakey pointed his thumb behind him to the Staff table in the general direction of where Mr.Firth sat.
Oakey's eyes widened at the Head Mistress' Speach. Not at The letting go of all but one House Elf, or that they sold the fine china. it was at keeping the their plastic cup, untensils, and their paper plates all year long. "Theo! don't write on the Plate." Oakey said as he snatched at it. "He moved it back over in front of him again, and watched as lack luster food appeared before them, along with piles upon piles of ice cream. Oakey let out a terribly disappointed sigh. "Get some Parchment from Ella and write it on that." His new Captain did say she had parchment on her didn't she?

He grabbed a plate full of Brocolli only, and munched on it. This wasn't terribly undercooked. Plus he could take some later and make some good Veggie Drinks with this stuff.

"Whatever..." Annabeth replied without due regard to Minerva feelings. Annabeth, by noticing that she had dropped the ball, tried to fix her statement "I don't know what it means belonging to Hufflepuff house... I can't understand why the students must be apart... " she looked at the only boy who had had some consideration with her before Minnie. Blake was at the Ravenclaw table. She hoped that she could be there with him. Then she bursted talking too much: "Look, I'm not really sick. And I don't want to spoil your... our party. Hogwarts wasn't my choice. I had never a choice. My parents expelled me from home at the very moment they were informed that I'm a witch and all my effort I had been made over recent years went down the drain." She rolled her eyes and snorted "but I like badgers, and the yellow colour and all this stuff... at least, here at Hogwarts I have a house... I hope I could call it home soon." She smiled sadly again, drying some tears that began dropping on her cheeks. Then she leant her head on the table hiding her face. She hated to be so emotive.


Then she reminded the boy who had said he was muggleborn I think he waved at me - she thought - and I didn't wave back or introduced myself and now I'm crying in the middle of the feast! People must be thinking I'm crazy. How much long the feast will last?
"If only I could step back in time..." she thought aloud, raising her head.

Apparently none of them had heard about house pride and she couldn't very well hammer it into their heads...too many witnesses. Oh but there was Michael! He had LOTS of house pride!!! "Do your new firsties act like Puffers?"

Heeeyyyy, her face was returning to normal. This was good stuff.

She wouldn't mind?? How could she not?? STAIRS!!! She was about to say something to go with her wide eyed look but then Lottie changed her mind. Lex sighed. "I swear, if they do, I'm just gonna skip breakfast. It doesn't seem worth it." NOT with all that walking!

Eyebrows raised. What was Lex referring to? Studying in the library? That was the ultimate place to hang out with Aidan, because he was forced to keep quiet. "I don't find it terrible...I understand why you would," she said, laughing a little. The librarian would spend lots of time telling Lex to stay still or be quiet. Not her place, really.

The laughter accentuated itself when she spoke of the new Gryffindors, "Yes, real heart of a lion," poor kid. But who'd be upset of ending up in Gryffindor? It sounded completely okay. Unlike Hufflepuff. "I don't know, really," she'd only noticed the Ravenclaws.

Excuse me? "No first years are mine," cue eyebrow raise.

But it was all fun and games later on, she was even going to comment on how a little exercise never hurt anyone, especially a Quidditch enthusiast, but...then the speech came...and...

Ah, Lottie could see where the problem in that was. Libraries and her didn't get along very well. How anyone could sit down for so long in silence was beyond her. "Mhm, but you seem to make it work." How? She didn't know that either and she didn't think she wanted to find out. Nah. Lottie could stick to library visiting, she would visit there when she needed another book on hexing.

Lottie was laughing at her displeasure. The Firsties needed to shape up. Still, she chuckled a bit. Cowards in a house meant for the brave, it would be an interesting term.

Lex chuckled a bit more before responding to the next thing. "Why so literal Ms. Wisteria?" She never expected Lottie to actually appreciate the thought of having Firsties. Lex didn't mind though; she wanted an army of them!

Speech and Lottie saying things. Her brows crinkled in obvious disapproval. "Yeah, I see that." She glanced back at her own table. "I...uh...I'll see you after the feast before going to my Common Room, if not, tomorrow when we won't be having a class up in the towers." She gave her a wide grin before hopping up and leaving.

And Oakey was soon back to talking nonsense again, but he was actually about to write it all down for him on another paper plate. He managed to write the word 'outer space' before Oakey snatched the plate back from him. Oh, well, how rude.

"Well, how am I supposed to get parchment from Ella if you glued my butt to this seat, hmm?" HUUUUUUH? Besides, he wouldn't go to Ella, anyway. Theo rolled his eyes at the Head Boy then looked at the feast in front of them with an upturned nose.

Eliza kept her hazel eyes fixed on Min, lest she be distracted by the attractive boy next to her. No need to be seeing his tan skin, or his dark hair, or...oh drat. She scolded herself quickly and regained focus. Tryouts. Tryouts are what you are talking about. Eliza let a crooked, modest smile slip onto her face and said, "Aw, well thank you! I really hope it goes all right." Then she laughed at Min's next words about the bludger situation. "Yeah that's for sure!" She laughed again, "Naw, I don't think she was actually upset with you, she just wanted to see some real quidditch action I bet!" She crinkled eyes as she remembered Ethan's aunt trying to push them along into a more aggressive game. "That would be hard though, to have to hit bludgers at your friends, or erm...b-boyfriends." Don't look at him. Nope. "But I guess maybe it gets easier...and everyone knows it's just for the game. But still...Yeah, I don't know." That would be really hard to do. Could I hit MY friends with a bludger on purpose? I'd feel awful about it. She frowned slightly at the thought, but tried to put it on the back burner. You might not even make the team so...don't worry yet. Her eyes perked back up and she flashed another toothy smile at Minerva, "Great! I'll be looking for you! And I want to watch you try out too, to cheer you on as well." She was gearing up to have a pretty busy year, but she liked the challenge of all the activities going on. She glanced back towards her house table and checked to see if she should head back yet for the food. She'd go there once it was time - and that time couldn't come soon enough in her opinion.

Kace smiled and nodded being referred to as Belle's brother. She was popular here but he would make this place his own that is for sure. Kace also noticed Ethan had manners like he did. "Thank you Ethan and also congrats on being a prefect." he smiled referring to the badge. He remembered when Belle had one and she explained what it meant.

Astronomy tower exploring, Quidditch, the tree house, then there was the charming of the kitchen wall, clothing the ducks, going into the forest to help try to find a groundskeeper dog, chasing a man eating plant, “Yes, I have been on a few, but you will have many of your own throughout the years. One of my favorite places to go is the lake. I always enjoying hanging out there.” Belle might not like her telling all her adventures to Kace, so she figured she’d let him experience them on his own.

"Oh i already have that covered." Kace winked at Minnie and pointed towards Bay to show he was talking to her. When Minnie told him about the lake, he was keen to check on that. "OH YEAH i heard there is a giant squid in that lake. I gotta ask you is it really that big?" he asked skeptically.
