This boy, aside from having nice hair, was sort of odd. Was he staring her down because he was totally jealous of her hair? Probably that had something to do with it. Cat couldn't blame him for that part, anyway.

........."And I just realized that you're not a Ravenclaw." Clearly. There was nothing about her school robes that said she was not a Slytherin, "Such a good observation, quick too, simply amazing." She grinned anyway, amused by him.

Must remember never to copy off of this one.

It took him a beat to get the gist of her meaning. ...
"Are you calling me UNintelligent? Cos that would be accurate." Hey, he was honest when it came to his academic skills. "I am, however, very chivalrous." Which was obviously a very important Gryffindor-ic quality. Ladies man and all.

Now he laughed at her comment, taking no offense at all. "I'm not known for my wit," he stated. And Ryan was sure she probably knew which things he was known for.

"Do you like to bake?"

"Not exactly, no, just unobservant." Since she had noticed at first glance that he was a Gryffindor. She was observant, he was not. Though he could have been distracted by her hair, she'd give him the benefit of the doubt there. She lifted an eyebrow at his next comment? "Are you now?" Cat pushed off of the wall and waved her hand at him, "Go on, prove it. Do something chivalrous."

She wanted to see this in action before she believed it.

"I do. I'm also terrific and amazing at it." Well, there was no point in hiding it, "Why?"

Unobservant. Heh. Unintelligent was much worse than that, so Ryan felt much better. At least she wasn't calling right out stupid. Even though he probably was. He shrugged at her in a that's cool kind of way.

Apparently she didn't think he could be chivalrous? Uh what?
"Yes. Absolutely." He said confidently. He eyed her hands and racked his brains. Prove it? How? "Uh..." He started stupidly, running a hand through his curls. And then he got it.

Mentally hoping his girlfriend wouldn't kill him, Ryan bent down slightly in front of Moretti and took her hand. Then he lightly brushed the top of it with his lips. It wasn't a kiss exactly, so he hoped she wouldn't be freaked out. Winking at her, Ryan let go of her hand and tried to observe her reaction.

"Well? Have I proved myself?"

As for the baking--
"So am I. Except I only do pies."

She just kept waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting while Ryan thought about how he was going to prove his smooth manliness. When he finally did, she smirked, but didn't overly react. In fact, she shrugged. "Eh, you're alright. I'll give you extra points since you have a girlfriend and can't really do much to prove it."

She'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

"However." She took her hand back, "You do have the opportunity to prove yourself again, so maybe think on that for a while." Or not, that was cool too but like maybe if she gave him more time, he could think of something better that his girlfriend wouldn't hate him for. That was cool with Cat.

She raised an eyebrow at the pies thing, "You make good pies, I assume?" Since... it was apparently the ONLY thing he made.

Slightly disappointed in her shrug, Ryan took the criticism like a man. But extra points were always good. "I'll take it," he replied, nodding his head. He was glad she understood about the whole girlfriend situation at any rate.

Again? This one liked being served, apparently. He chuckled a bit, eyeing her curiously again. There was something about her that made it easy for him to like her. As a friend, of course. "I'll do my best and get back to you on that." He saluted, figuring it would make her laugh a little. Immediately, he started to think of what else he could do to prove himself. Open doors for her? Carry her books to classes? This sounded more like slavery than chivalry...

"I make excellent pies," He said, raising his eyebrow like her. "In fact. I think I could probably make pretty good cupcakes, too." Not that he was competing with her.

Riiiiiight. Alright. Okay. Sure.

Cat just nodded. "Excellent pies, hmm?" She was giving him her best skeptical look, "You should make one for me. I like pie." And all other food items. She wasn't picky. "Is that chivalrous? Pie making? That would be easy and non-girlfriend-angry-making." That was always a good thing.

Okay now, "Let's not get carried away here, Myles. You stick to your pies and I'll stick to my cupcakes and we can make french fries together." She paused and held out her hand. They could shake on it. "Good?"

He nodded in response, his hair bobbing up and down a little. "Uhhh, is it? If it is, I can kill two birds with one stone," he said with a grin. And that would makes things a lot easier. He wondered if she liked peach pie because he was best at making those.

Raising his eyebrows, Ryan snorted a little. He considered her for a minute, eyeing her hand. After a few seconds, he grinned yet again. "I do like french fries. So yeah, ...good." And he extended his hand, grasped hers and shook it. Merlin, her hand was tiny.
