High Street is the main street of Hogsmeade, from which you can access all its most famous shops. There's a path that leads from the winged boar flecked front gates of Hogwarts all the way up to High Street. It's probably how you got here today!
From the main street of Hogsmeade, you can ,eet up with your friends before heading over to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer, browse the windows of the shops as you pass by, interact with students from other houses, and just have fun on your weekend out. Enjoy!
It was today, right? Selina was extremely frantic because she and her Biter had been exchanging letters about this day for two months now. Wow, it was weird to think that Hogwarts was ALREADY two months into school. Huh. She was really all good and properly graduated.
She supposed that the whole being graduated thing wasn't terrible. In fact, she soft of loved being on her own. Living with Vivi was brilliant, as was her job- she loved the Harpies- and she had acclimated pretty well. Those people who said that it ended after they graduated were severely wrong. It didn't mean that she didn't miss her ickles and friends who were still in school though. Because she did. Terribly.
Because of that sentiment it was WHY the redhead had come out today. To see her Biter and such. Anyone else she saw along the way would just be an added bonus. Now, time to find Miss Biter person.

She was skipping.
SKIPPING.
Alice hadn't even properly smiled in the last couple of days, let alone skip. She didn't even do that when she wasn't upset. It felt really weird, and she was probably doing it wrong, but she was going to continue, because today was THE day. The one where she got to see a Selina and actually talk to her instead of trying to say things through letters and have one of those sappy reunion things that were supposed to make people super happy.
Where was she, though? The fifth year glanced around impatiently as she SKIPPED along the street, scanning the hoard of people with her eyes until they spotted some flaming red hair in the distance. That was her, wasn't it? Alice began weaving through the crowd (read: shoving), trying to get to her quickly enough.
"SELINA."

Had Biter given her the right place? She wasn't sure now because Alice was no where to be seen. Maybe she was at a food place or some shop to buy things that would wreak havoc in the castle, which the thought made her beam with pride. Her Biter was the epitome of perfection. Literally. No one else could dissuade the eighteen year old of that fact. It was just known by her.
And then she saw someone bounding though the crowd rigorously. Though squinted eyes she made out brown hair and she could see extremely bright teeth. OH MERLIN, it was her Biter! Happy days, she was in the right spot. And in that moment she remembered just how much she had missed her these past two months. It was so bloody good to see her.
Throwing her head back with rippling laughter when Biter yelled her name, Selina yelled back, "THAT'S ME!" See, look! She was all grown up and adult like now, but it was still her. Just with a job and responsibilities now. Yep.

"I KNOW THAT'S YOU." Why was she shouting and not shoving still? The fifth year continued 'weaving' through the crowd until she finally reached Selina, beaming when she did, a look of total bliss crossing her face. It was so nice to see her, 'specially since the last time that she had, it was right before Alice had run away from the older girl's flat and ditched her and gone to stay with Dora. So this was much nicer.
She bounced forward on the balls of her feet subconsciously in excitement, almost going in for a pseudo-snuggle, but not quite. "I've got so much to tell you. And so much to ask." Of course, Alice always started with her agglomeration of questions, so that was coming first. "How've you been? How's Quidditch going? Your first game's in a month, right? Is it around when I'm off school? Can I come see?"
She paused to take a deep breath before continuing on rapid-fire. "I really think you should get your dog a litterbox, and Dora and I are okay, and so is Jake, and I still haven't used any of your knuts 'cause Oakey's cuss jar is plentiful." One last break and she could finish saying it all, yeah? "And you cannot kick the Headmistress in the face, sorry, I still don't think you should give up on people but you can if you want, and I handled stuff. The other stuff."
And. "Also. I've missed you. Like, so much that I'll even give you a partial hug. Voluntarily and everything."

"Er, yeah, I did." He said with a nod. Not like he couldn't not know, since she had made sure he couldn't forget. Kaiden chuckled, "Well, let's just see." he said with a shrug. Because he didn't really know where to take her. He wanted to go somewhere good though.
Wait, she gave him a hug? "Your're welcome," he mumbled, ears turning a little bit pink. "so... yeah... lets go." he said reaching to grabb hold of her hand. Don't attack me please.
Mika hadn't noticed the blushing earlier when they had departed from the school, heck she hadn't noticed all that much except the fact that she slipped a few times and nearly fell two other. Each time she slipped she had one a wibbly-wobbly arm thing and then bragged onto Kaiden's robes as if he could hold her up. And that only made the birthday girl blush. Of course grabbing onto robes was easier y'know with him holding onto her hand (which only served to make her blush even more).
"So any idea where we are going? We could go to Zonkos?" She offered with a shrug as they entered the town. Sure they had just walked a loooooong way. But she didn't mind it gave great camouflage to the fact she blushed every time she caught onto Kaiden's arm.
Reaching her hand up she just proceeded to poke her friend in the shoulder repetitively. "Where did you have in mind you person you?" Yep, she sounded oh so eloquent today.

As they Kaiden kept a tight hold on the girl's hand, occasionally letting his fingers tap on the back of her hand. "You okay?" he asked after she slipped again. "Do you... need a piggy back ride or something?" Because he could do that yeah? She wouldn't be heavy at all.
"Hey!" he said at the poke. "Yeah, I thought we could go to Zonko's for a bit. And then somewhere else after?" He tugged a bit on her hand "Is that where you would like to go?"

Yes, that was Biter. She could tell from all of the weaving and pushing and blatant disrespect of everyone else around her. Look how adorable she was, Selina had missed her so much. Abusing the people around her. So much pride.
When she finally reached Selina, Biter KIND OF HUGGED HER, so she wrapped her arms around her in a hug and laughed, "HELLO BITER!" Because they were doing the yelling thing right now and she only had so much time with her. Might as well make it count.
And in normal Biter fashion, she was suddenly swept up in a sea of never-ending questions. Merlin, that had no changed a bit. So, she took a deep breath and did flash round of answers, "I'm good. Quidditch is good. My first game IS in a month," and she was extremely nervous about it, but that was for another day, "It's not when you're off school, no. So you can't see, but I got you tickets for our match over winter holiday." They were hers if she wanted them.
"Bay is not getting a litter box. Good, good and great." She chuckled, "I'll consider the Headmistress thing." Oh, awkward pause. The redhead was NOT going to answer that one question, "Oh you handled stuff? Is stuff good now?" Hopefully, because she had more kicks in her arsenal if it wasn't.
She gave Biter a small smile, "I've missed you too, kiddo."
As they Kaiden kept a tight hold on the girl's hand, occasionally letting his fingers tap on the back of her hand. "You okay?" he asked after she slipped again. "Do you... need a piggy back ride or something?" Because he could do that yeah? She wouldn't be heavy at all.

Mika couldn't help but blush every time he brushed his finger over the back of her hand. It was just so, so sweet yeah? She liked the feeling it gave her that burning tingly feeling from the back of her hand to the tip of her finger...and then that feeling always blossomed and moved up her hand and coursed through her like electricity.
"I-uh, i'm fine" she flushed as he asked if she was alright. "I..that, you don't have to i mean" yep she was flustered. When he tugged on her hand she just glanced up at him. "I don't need to head to zonkos unless you want to i mean - I've" she leaned in closer, "i've still got loads of unused things from Weasley's to use." She smirked at that yeah she hadn't used them since it seemed unfair when the school was in such a state.
Flamsteed would probably cry if someone set off fireworks near his office.

Her hand was nice. It was warm and small, and attached to something pretty. He smiled, "You sure, you sure? We could go there and get different things. OR we could go to the quill shop, or the candy place." He stopped them in the street, and looked at the places around. Oh maybe there? The boy rubbed the back of his neck "Oh, hey, Miks, You're a girl... Would you... like to go to the tea shop?" She would like that yeah?

Mika just turned and nodded when he asked if she was sure, she was very sure. Very extremely sure. "Yes, I am" she nodded again. And when her friend said those words her eyebrows knitted together. "Excuse me?" She somewhat fake-snapped. Her hand kind of slipped from this because well, she was nervous it would go all clammy and sweaty and maybe his felt a little sweaty. So, yes. She didn't want a sweaty hand.
For emphasis she put her hand on her hip in a faux show of attitude. "Did you just realize that? It took what...four years and my voice not dropping for you to realize that?" She asked her tone breaking into laughter as she spoke. "But yeah...tea - that sounds nice, and hey! I might try a reading...since they are fun" she offered with a chuckle. She'd just jot down her symbols in the notebook she had in her bag. She had brought that just in case she had to stop by and sell some eggs.
"Bu-um, but...are you sure the tea place isn't that g-girly?" She asked and glanced at him. The way she had said girly it was CLEAR she was saying isn't that a date-place? She wasn't sure what this was. But tea was warm and right now warm was good.

Minerva shivered as she headed down the street. Why didn’t she think about grabbing a coat before coming to Hogsmeade today. It was November what did she expect. She’d cuddle into Ethan while walking if he was still walking with her. They had just left Madame Puddifoot’s when a few students were not being very nice and he had to go do his prefect duties, but it was alright that wasn’t going to ruin their great date day. She would meet him later.
Trying to decide what she wanted to do while she waited on Ethan, she stopped and sat on a bench. Thinking, she could go to Zonko’s just to look around, or maybe Honey Dukes. Then she could pick up some more chocolate frogs for her and Ethan. You could never have to many things of chocolate. Then she thought maybe she would try the salon do something different with her hair, but with her changing it all the time on her own that seemed like a dumb idea. Maybe she would just go to the Broom sticks and see if any of her friends were there.

Jasper walked through Hogsmeade with Brady in his arms. It wasn't all that cold out but Jasper had Brady all bundled up in his winter gear to make sure that Brady wouldn't get cold. If Whitnee was here she would be judging him about bundling Brady up, she's done it before but he just didn't want his son to be cold. It was a boys night out. Him and Brady. While Whitnee was most likely having a girls night out with his little sister Katlas right now. But how much fun could a girls night out be when they both are pregnant? They can't run around places because they would be like penguins and waddle around. Jasper couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.
The girl with the pink hair! Was that who he thought it was? Minerva? From ages ago? When he was still at Hogwarts? It's been forever since he has seen her. "Minnie? Is that you?" Jasper Scottish accent called out to the girl.

Minerva was lost in thought, where should she go when she heard her name and lifted her head. Looking around she didn't see any of her friends. Could they have been calling for someone else? Maybe, then Minerva remember there was another Minnie at school now. She had not met the girl yet, but she had heard someone else say the name and questioned it.
Just as she was about to put her head back down looking at the road as she thought, her eyes made contact with an older male holding a small child. He looked very familiar, was he the person calling her name. No it couldn't be, she didn't know anyone that had a child, did she. Her mind went thinking of Aaron, but his baby hadn't been born yet then it hit her. She jumped to her feet and went over smiling, "Jasper!! Is that you? and this.. this is your son?" She looked at the boy he had to be maybe 1 or 2 possibly. She wasn't great at guessing small kids ages. "Well hello there little one.. What is your name?" Was that the way to talk to them? She really didn't have much interaction with smaller kids then her brother and that was only a few years younger then her.

After making an appearance at the fundraiser, Taryn had left again to meet up with Dora as planned. Seeing Dora was much more fun than thinking about broke Hogwarts anyway, even if Dora was very not happy about the whole thing. Perhaps she could distract her for a while. She had Christmas presents with her too, since they had not had a chance to see each other over the holiday, so she was sure it would be FINE.
Though, they hadn't decided where to go, so Taryn leaned against a wall on the middle of the street and waited.

Dora was plenty happy right now. She had gotten all sorts of awesome stuff over Christmas break, and got to see most all of her closest friend, and NOW she was out of Hogwarts again to go and see Taryn, and to attend some fundraiser event.
Her and all the other students, in her opinion, had given Hogwarts more than enough of their money, but she was still attending. And dressed the part, even if her cloak was covering all of her outfit.
"Waiting for me?" She grinned at Taryn, joining her on the wall and crossing her arms.

Taryn had been contemplating the cold once again and rubbing her hands together when Dora showed up. The blonde pushed off of the wall and grinned at the younger girl. "Of course I am, who else would I come here for?" Hmm? NO ONE. Hehehehe. She put an arm around Dora's shoulder and nudged her, "But lets go inside somewhere, I'm not used to this cold weather anymore."
Not at ALL. "And I have presents for you." Of course. Like always.

A fundraising for the school seriously? Isn't that supposed to be for the students? Or they weren't important? Not just that, but also her dad was actually coming to donate! See, Cassia thought her family was having a bit of a financial problem but it just turned out that her allowance wasn't getting any higher on purpose. Well, FINE! She can get by, you know. And nope she refused to go see her dad at the donation station. Hopefully, he wouldn't run across the Headmistress. Juuust in case. And like that meeting the staff thing, so unnecessary.
Instead of all that, the fourth year bundled in her jacket, just walked back and forth along the street. Oh she wasn't going to buy anything, she was all stacked, besides the fresh air was cool. Both temperature-wise and enjoy-wise. Also, the thing about being at the street is that you get to spy see everything and everyone. Pretty interesting and helpful if you were searching for someone. Like in Cassia's case she was looking for Lex. See they said they'd meet but they kinda forgot to say where. Lex was too busy smiling and being annoyingly happy and Cassia was too busy making faces. So that matter kinda slipped their minds. Happens a lot. But they'd manage the meeting always did, always will.
With small steps, Cassia walked back and forth as her head turned left and right regularly making sure not to miss anyone passing by. She tried not to be a creeper. But she had a reason, she was looking for someone. She also liked to keep track of people going and coming and passing. Made time move faster. So ignore her as she did so. Or eye her, she'd eye you right back. Not in a very good mood.

"You could be here for any of the other poor souls you left behind." Dora leaned against the wall dramatically before laughing it off and slipping her arm around Taryn into a proper hug. "It's not that cold, but inside is better. I hear the food is good and that there's dancing." And she wanted to dance.
Which meant she needed to find Theo. Or Alice.
Or make Taryn dance with her.
"I have your presents too!" She grinned excited. Where were her presents??

You know what was fun? Hopping. It got you where you wanted to go and it did so in a super cool fun way that probably had people staring at you but that was only a problem for those who actually cared what people thought about them. That being the case, it didn't apply to Lex and she was HOPPING around Hogsmeade.
Hop. Hop. Hop.
Yeah her father was there and she was super excited to see him but at the same time she wasn't all that thrilled to see Jessa. He should have known better than to take her with him so after collecting some extra money and pointing him toward the donation station she went off looking for Cassia. It wasn't that she'd forgotten they were meant to meet, Merlin no, it was just...where would have been a good thing to mention; just saying.
Alexa kept hopping along her way until she hopped right into someone. "Oi, watch where I'm going why don't y--OH, Cassia!" GRIN. And people said running into other people was a bad thing. PFFFFFFT. "I knew I'd find you eventually! It didn't even take that long!!" So what if she was now bouncing in place. At the moment she had enough energy to power a rocket. "Have you gone through any of the shops yet??" Hopefully she hadn't missed that crucial part.

Hop. Hop.
By now she had spotted most of Hogwarts population but her bestie lioness hadn't made it yet. What was she up to? Was it possible that she was with her Dad. Would she actually spend the time with him? Naaah. She'd probably just say 'hi' and stuff. Though saying usually didn't take that much of time. Oh well, Lex's 'hi's probably took a liiiittle bit longer? Probably.
Spotting someone with blond hair and a skipping gait, the fourth year craned her neck towards that person but at the same time someone bumped into her. Can't people see, seriously! Turning towards that person with a scowl which didn't last much seeing that it was Les herself. Ok, was she the one hopping towards here? Of course she was! Cassia still smiiiiiiled for her bestie. "Hey, Lex, about time." Not that anything interesting has happened but it sounded like the thing to say. For an unknown reason. "Oh well, I was smart enough to wait at the street so I'd be easily found," She said proudly with a flip of her hair. Yeah, her ego had come so high lately. Shaking her head no, the Slytherin linked her arm with Lex's and started walking slowly, "No, actually I haven't yet." She answered. "I don't really want to buy anything, do you?" She asked.
"Also, did you get to see your dad? And did you see mine?" She asked not because she wanted to go see him but just to know if he had come eventually. "I don't like that he is donating to the school." She simply said. Yeah, kinda sounded selfish and evil. "It'd have been better if I had gotten a raise on my allowance. You see Mike sent me a third of his and promised to do so every month," She said with a beam. Her brother was sweet. Just like herself. "Though it's a secret." Cassia added looking over to Lex...who was grinning big time! See grinning was cool but the Slytherin actually feared for her bestie's cheeks? The might actually stretch and it'd be not so cool.

"Good to know a certain person's ego hasn't deflated."Hint. Hint. Such a Slyhterin. Lex rolled her eyes but playfully so, giving her a small nudge. Really it was almost expected, wasn't it? She allowed her arm to be linked with and got walking down the busy street. "I don't think there's much I wanna buy now but Daddy gave me enough money to make me happy before I go back to school--he told me not to spend it all, can you believe that???"
The nerve of some fathers. How could she not spend it all. What was the point in giving it all to her then, hm? Exactly. He should have thought ahead.
"I saw your dad too but I didn't stop to say 'hi', I was kinda busy running off for food and you." Very important stuff. "I don't mind Daddy donating though, it'll make me live less miserably while I'm stuck at school." Lex gave a raised eyebrow, slowing her walk just a bit to stare at her. No raise in her allowance?? But but but, the school was so poor and these days you needed extra in order to maintain your sugar intake while you survived!!! "Have you tried reasoning with him?"
Oh wow! "That's awfully nice of him! What'd he say he wanted in return." There was always a catch; had to be.

Which meant she needed to find Theo. Or Alice.
Or make Taryn dance with her.
"I have your presents too!" She grinned excited. Where were her presents??
"Poor unfortunate souls. They're beyond my help now." Taryn winked and hugged Dora back. "I was just there, actually." She added after HUGS. "It's weird being around professors and stuff now, like... weird." Out of place, even. "It's almost weird being here at all, I think I've been Americanized."
SAY WAAAT.
"We can go back if you want AND I'll give you your presents." WOO PRESENTS! "I also want to hear the gossip." In case there had been anything new since the last letter. Of course.

At the ego remark. Cassia grinned without turning to look at Lex whom with no doubt had rolled her eyes. Oh, the snake saw it coming but Lex couldn't deny Cassia's smartness of choosing where to stand to be found. As the two girls fall in step together, Cassia's other arm-that wasn't linked with Lex's- swung back and forth. She liked doing that. "Lucky you!" She said with a sigh. "Yeah dads say that but like you can just ignore it and enjoy the fact that you were given money." She said. "That makes up for the unreasonable request." The not spend it all one, that is.
Oh her dad. So he did really come. The fourth-year perked up a bit, "I think he had left because he was on a tight schedule or something." But not tight enough to not come and donate. "They had food there? At the fundraiser?" How come she missed it? "Did you have to pay for it?" Sounded like you had to pay for everything. Like Cassia wouldn't be surprised if they had to pay to donate. Did that even make sense? Probably not. "Oh but how do we know the money is going to revive the school budget?" Maybe someone the headmistress was shoving the money down their pockets. "Or maybe we should wait and see if things become better after the donations." She didn't really think so.
Reasoning, her least favorite word. "There is no reasoning. I suck at it, Lex. I always end up seeing the wrong words at the wrong time." You'd think Lex had noticed that by now. Siiiiiiiigh at her lame reasoning skills.
"Umm...He didn't mention anything." Mike didn't. But that got her to think, did he really not want anything. Or was he waiting till the right time to ask for something. "I guess I should've asked more or offered something myself. Better than giving him the chance to choose the favor." He brother was sweet and all but Durmstrang had had its effects on him. Just lie Hogwarts had it effects on her, too. "I suppose I'm in debt now." She muttered with a scowl.

Hehe, Cassia spoke her language. The girl always had. "I know and I never take him seriously when he says things like that." Though maybe she should have considering that he got super angry and disappointed when she spent it all in one go. Yeah...Lex didn't very well like her father getting all upset but at the same time candy. "Did your father leave you with an unreasonable request too?" If he did then they could match!! Hehehehe!
Tight schedule? Pffft. Her father could never have tried spoon feeding her that garbage. Lex expected him to give her his time freely. "I told Daddy to clear his schedule completely--oh?" Lex took a moment to eye her bestie curiously. "You didn't know about the fundraiser?? Everything's completely free. You should see all the food!! Aidan and I are planning to take some back with us." That way they'd have good food later on. It was all real legit. Alexa shrugged at the next thing said. "Things better improve because Daddy's giving money and I can't live like this much longer. Have you tried the ice-cream in the kitchen? It makes everything better." And there was an extra wide smile on now.
"We're gonna have to work on that." Lex informed her. If she could reason her way out of things then there was no reason why her friend shouldn't have been able to. "Maybe this summer?" That could work, yeah?
GASP! "He didn't?? Obviously he's waiting for the right moment!" Just. GASP. "You have to ask him. Ask him before he gets the chance to make demands. Everything goes downhill after that." It's true. She would know.
