After everyone had finished up in the staff room, Eliza went back to retrieve her things. Why I didn't just bring these with us in the first place, I'll never know, she thought as she closed her notebook and slid it into her bag. She tucked away her quill and pencil as well, slung her bag over her shoulder, and left the room after giving a farewell nod to those around her. |
