Placing his personal cup back in his bag, Daichi zipped the thing up and turned back to his notes. The only thing left was adding fertilizer , labeling his pot and cleaning up. Looking around, Daichi spotted the bucket of fertilizer near the potting soil and began to walk towards it.

Grabbing the bucket, he walked back to his pot and with the use of a small spade that lay on the table, he added a bit of Hippogriff dung fertilizer. Merlin, it stank badly! But it was necessary. If it wasn't than Daichi would have skipped this part.

When he was done he placed the bucket back in the place he had found it.

It BURST. A FLOWER was suddenly THERE in place of the pod and West stepped back all of a sudden as it just popped up, roots and all intact. Of course the roots couldn't GO anywhere on the ground here, since it was on a bit of stone, so that meant it was time to transfer it to its pot.

Confidently, West picked it up, one hand on the stalk the other supporting the roots. West moved over to his worktable. He didn't put it in the pot right away, instead West carefully gave it a shake and gently massaged the roots loose. Once he was sure it was good to go, he carefully lowered it into the pot and then held it there with one hand.

His free hand, he picked up the trowel and gently began scooping up more soil to cover the roots and fill the pot up, holding the puffapod flower in place. Once it seemed steady and stable he took his gloved hand away and finished filling it up, leaving a bit of a gap to the top.

He gently pat the soil down and stepped back to admire the pink flower. Okay. Cool.

Reaching his hand in to his robe pocket, Daichi took out a muggle pen and then leaned forward to grab one of the little blank tags. He brushed the soil he had accidentally spilled off of the tag and began to write.

When he was done, he stuck the tag in to the potting soil and nodded approvingly at his own work. Placing away the muggle pen back in his robe pocket again, Daichi then grabbed his wand and pointed it at the long table he had been working on. “Scourgify!” He said and watched how the spilled soil vanished in to thin air, cleaning the table spotless. He then took off his gloves and placed them together with the small spade he had used earlier. A quick scourgify on them as well and they looked like they were new~

Finding a little bit of water that had dripped out of his cup when he had watered the plant, Daichi said “Tergeo” and waved his wand at the liquid. The water dried up and the Slytherin brushed the table with his finger. CLEAN!

Placing his personal stuff in his bag, Daichi left his pot on the table and left the greenhouse.

Clapping his gloved hands a tad clean, Dylan scanned the notes. It said that the next step was adding Hippogriff dung as fertilizer...This caused him to do a double take...and then he peered down into the bucket that was set with the bag of potting soil and pots.

That was Dragon dung.

Dylan knew...because that was his favorite to work with.

Where were they supposed to obtain Hippogriff dung? Did someone else have it on them? Where did Professor Bentley keep that? Would be need to do a search and recon on a different Greenhouse?

So many questions...

Now he had to water it. The trick was, of course, to not over water it. Didn't wanna drown the freshly burst puffa did he? He contemplated using a watering can so he could better control the amount of water but then West realised he wasss getting a lot better at all this stuff, aguamenti included, so he'd just do it and concentrate and if he overdid it he could use a drying charm to even it out. Okay then.

West got his wand out and pointed it at the soil, right at the base of the plant. He concentrated... "Aguamenti!" West pointed his wand and a stream of water came out, hitting the soil and beginning to soak in.

He watched carefully, not wanting to overdo it.... it looked wet enough now. "Finite." West stopped the stream of water, knowing he could just stop doing it but wanting to be sure that it would cut off.

He put his wand aside and examined the soil to make sure it wasn't too wet. Not muddy. Looked good.

Feeling up in arms about this fertilizer business, Dylan simply decided to use the dragon dung. It wasn't listed...but he personally knew that dragon dung was the best you could get...This was merely upgrading for the little Puffapod flower. Surely the plant would appreciate the richer nutrients, either way.

Right.

Not bothered with ceremony, Dylan stuck his gloved!fingers down into the fertilizer and carefully pulled some out. Not much, mind...but enough that he could message a smidgen into the soil...and then sprinkle the remaining bit on top. Just to give the little purple beauty a kick.

So, he got down to it...sprinkling the first bit at random places and carefully pushing it down into the soil, not with real force, but enough that it sunk down a millimeter or so...and THEN he sprinkled the remainder. All easy-peasy like.

Didn't want to overdo it with fertilizer, right? Right.

Time to fertilize.... only.... there was a dung issue. This here was dragon dung, he'd worked with it enough and had to clean off his gloves enough times to know it. The instructions said Hippogriff dung. West wondered if it made any difference.

A cursory glance showed out that there wasn't any Hippogriff dung nearby and West figured the part where the dragon dung had been left out meant that Bentley wanted them to use it. He decided to use the dragon dung, but just to be sure, he would indicate it on the label, just so it would show that he'd noticed and that it wasn't his fault if it was wrong. Yes.

West sprinkled some dragon dung on the soil. It had better nutrients anyway didn't it? Was more expensive as well... probably better overall then.

Alright. Good. Made a nice change to be using the best possible thing didn't it? Given what things were like this term....

She looked it up, indeed she was allowed to pat it gently. To Sarah embedding her fingerprints was half the fun, yet at least she could enjoy the other half it - the patting part. Pat, pat, pat.. in order to excersice some creativity Sarah patted her hand at different angles. It was like the picturs they used ot make with their handprint in muggle school. Pat pat pat... alright, all done. NEXT.

Water of course. Sarah could have assumed it and not even had to look it up. Most of teh time she did not need her notes anyway as she remembered what she had written down. She took out her wand,"Aguamenti!" she casted adn the water streamed out and began to wet the soil below. Meanwhile she allowed her thoughts to wonder unintentionally

Sarah allowed her thoughts to wonder a bit much, as she had to cast 'finite' really quickly as the soil was on the verge of becoming muddy. She then breathed a sigh of relief. That was done and over with. Now the fertiliser.

Clean up now then? Oh and labelling. West picked his tag up and shifted it around to label it better. Right.

That should do it yeah? He prodded the tag into the soil and spent a moment adjusting it for aesthetics and practicality. Make it visible and all that. He felt better about the added note since it meant that if he'd done it wrong at least it'd be known. He was pretty sure it'd be okay but all the same...

West moved his pot plant out of the way, and spent another moment pausing to examine and admire the puffa flower. It was kinda cheerful and all, right? He was kind of pleased with it. It'd grow a bunch bigger too. West knew that. Sunflower big even. Giant Sunflower big. Wouldn't stay in this pot forever that was for sure.

Right. Now to clean up and then he'd be done.

​There it was. Sarah saw a bucket of dung, yet on closer inspection it revealed that it was not hippogriff dung but dragon dung​. She went to the store cupboard to see if there was any there. There was, yet Sarah did not want to take without permission and instead decided to use the dragon dung.

She took some in her gloves and began to sprinkle it on top of the soil in circular motions. It smelt, yet Sarah was not perturbed. Business was business and life was life. She just pretended it did not smell as bad as it did, although she was feeling nauseous. With that done, it was time for Sarah to wrap up.

She took off her gloves, as it was hard for her to write with them and she grabbed a tag. On it she wrote as neatly as possible:
. Then she stuck that tag into the soil. So now she had sort of identified it as hers.

Clean up time. Sarah put her gloves and notebook back in her satchel. Then she used her wand to clean the surface. First she used Scourigfy and then she used the polishing spell. The latter was not needed yet she thought it would be nice for the Professor if she did.

West got busy scourgifying the work area and siphoning up the little bits of spilled dirt with Tergeo. Gladly he hadn't made much mess since he'd been careful and used his trowel to scoop the soil. He washed out the bucket he'd used for the soil too, washed and dried and then returned it to where he'd got it from.

He cleaned off his gloves too, not wanting to get any dung stuck on them when he stuck them in his bag and all. It was all looking pretty good. Did he need to put his pot plant anywhere or leave it on his workstation?

He decided to leave it there, it was out of the way and tidy and all so it worked well enough for him. He picked up his bag and his wand, packed his things away and then headed out the door.

That wasn't so bad.

Marigold was kind of sad that she was almost done, but nevertheless she got up and got a tag. She then wrote down all of the needed information.

She attached it to her pot, straightened it, then put the pot down.

She looked around and swept the dirt into her hand, then put it into the pot. Her workplace looked pretty clean!

Ethan watched as Minerva filled her own pot with soil then he figured it was time for the next step.. He'd rather wait for her anyway so they could work on their plants together, so he turned to her and said, "Next we add some water.. not to much though. We don't want to drown the roots. The best way to gauge that is to keep an eye on the soil. Just make sure it is damp and doesn't get muddy."

And he felt now was the perfect time to show off practice his nonverbal Aguamenti. Pointing his wand at the soil in his pot a bit away from the plant, Ethan concentrated on the spell and watched as a stream of water emerged. Once he had garnered enough water for his plant, he cast a verbal, "Finite." Pleased with his work, he turned to Minerva's plant and repeated the effort giving her plant a drink as well.

"Almost finished," he announced both to his girlfriend as well as their plants as he thought they'd want that piece of information as well. "Now we need add some fertilizer.." This time, he grabbed a scant handful of hippogriff dung fertilizer from the bag at the end of the table with a gloved hand, then sprinkled it around the perimeter of the pot, making sure not to get it too close to the leaves of the plant. While he let his girlfriend do the same, he pulled off his gloves and set to work on creating a tag for his plant.

On the tag provided, he filled out all the appropriate information, then gently staked it near the edge of his pot.
Now that he was finished, he set the Puffapod plant aside and began cleaning up his workspace. He cast Scourgify at the work table to clean up all the excess soil, then did the same on the dirty equipment. Once cleaned, he put them away then waited for Minerva to finish up before walking out with her.

With the fertilizer in place, Dylan was finished. All that was left to do was to put a label on this bad boy...and then clean up. All the easier things. It seemed he was the last one to be finishing up, too...So, with that in mind, he made quick work of the final steps.

Grabbing one of the tags, he went about putting his name, year, house, and a special note...

Attaching it to the side of the pot, it was time to do some clearing away. Pulling his wand, the Slytherin began scourgifying surfaces, getting any dirt and fertilizer that might have spilled along the way. With all that taken care of, he was done.
