graphics by sweetpinkpixie The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Pepper Imps’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves which are equipped with the resources and materials required to complete any homework assignments. Fixed to the wall by the windows you will find the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.
Returning students, and new students... you might notice that there is something amiss in the common room. It seems as though it has been forgotten over the holidays. The squashy armchairs are coated in a layer of dust, the ash in the fireplace hasn't been cleared, and the air is stale and smells of mold.

Christmas was glad to be back at school but the night was going from bad to worse as the common room was dirty and dusty and it hadn't be cleaned in all the months since they finished she just stood because all of the couchs and armchairs were covered in a layer of dust

Mack immediately covered her nose as she entered the commone room, looking around she saw that it hadn't been cleaned at all while they had been away. GROSS! Wrinkling her nose up at the furniture she walked over towards the window seeing if it could be opened to let some fresh air in. Not seeing another way she looked around for a prefect or head of house to give her some assistance, she was not about to sit in this all year. | |

UGH. Ronnie was NOT in a good mood. First, that stupid speech at the feast with all the news about the cuts...then the bloody turnstiles... she didn't wanna know what would happen next.
She sniffed the air and wrinkled her nose at the smell. Yuck! That smelled like... mold or something! Had they even cleaned this place up over the summer?! Was it that hard to do...?
She made her way over to one of the chairs in front of the fire and plopped into it and a cloud of dust burst into the air. Ronnie coughed and angrily wiped at the dust to get it out of her face. She growled. This was so not what she had been looking forward to on the train ride here.
This was going to be a really dumb last year for her...

Looking at the window again, Mack realized maybe Ronnie would know if the window could be opened, taking a deep breath, then coughing, she walked over to where Ronnie had sat down "Hey Ronnie! Ummm do you know if the window can be opened?" She pointed towards the window. Mack then decided she didn't care what anyone else said, she couldn't live this way all year and had to clean this up. The boy was really funny, the way he stand up with his eye patch and made a super hero pose make Aphrodite look him as one of the pirates in one of the book reading and that makes her giggle.
Troy look uncomfortable when she asked about the eye patch he wore, so Aphrodite promised for today will not ask again, and frankly Aphrodite also like Troy. She felt very comfortable talking to him. "Of course, Troy. I would be very happy if we could be friends," she said, smiling at the boy, "Would you tell me a story about your family, Troy?" Aphrodite asked, stroking Iris gently.

Mack had been walking past the headmistress'office, when she heard lots of voices, no doubt there to complain, she listened to see if maybe she recognized any of the voices but she did not. One voice, however, caught her attention, she believed it to be a boy and he was talking about the dust and using the incantation "scourgify" to clean things. She rushed back to the common room, taking a deep breath she walked over to an armchair, pointing her one she spoke clearly "Scourgify" and to her amazement, the spell worked, the dust was gone. Jumping up and down clapping her hands, the blonde turned to the next armchair she pointed her one and it appears the incantation, happily being rewarded with the same result. She made quick work with the rest of the common room, the bookshelves, study tables, and all other surfaces finally being dust free for the first time since summer. Looking around and admiring the work she had done she decided It was time to go to the dormitories even though she dreaded the thought. Walking to the stairs however, she realized that she had not cleaned the fireplace but wasn't sure how to get rid of the ash, making a mental note to ask Prof. Bentley during their meeting Saturday, Along with the sheets from the dormitories. | |

Lex crawled through the hole and entered the Common Room right behind a few others that had taken the knut from the bag and gone in as well. Her eyes widened the moment she got a good look at the place. "Good merlin..." She muttered. There was only a small degree of shock if she was being honest. After the night she had she thought something like this would happen.
It was almost expected, she just didn't expect it to look so bad. Ugh.
It didn't even cross her mind to try putting Felix down in this mess, he would protest and so would she. Instead she took a short look around. People were cleaning, some of them. She could accept this...sorta. The Third year wasn't in the mood to get cleaning, this was all depressing but she had to because this was where they stayed and if they had to pay to come here then the least she could do is make it so she actually wanted to come.
Plus, cleaning meant she could use magic before going to bed! Staying positive was key in all this. She gave a nod to Mack, the girl was cleaning too. Good.
Now where to start...? Fireplace maybe? The ashes might affect her kneazle. She walked over and whipped out her wand. "Evanesco!" The old ashes and grim disappeared from the it giving it an almost pristine look! This is why they needed to be able to use magic at home! This, she didn't mind doing. Her room would have been cleaned more too.
And on to something else that needed her attention. The others would help too when they got here. She doubted anyone would want to stay in this.

Demi was his half sister and the only remaining Hawthorne, eligible to raise him. "What about you? Do you have a family? We all have families?" Troy nodded and asked with a beaming smile.

She followed Natasha into the common room. It was lucky that the girl had had a few knuts with her. How handy. Soon the pride would be filling in. She moved into the common room, taking its essence. And red and gold.
ERGH.
This was a common room? Well, it was fairly good, except for the brightness that was. She didn't exactly appreciate bright colours. It only deepened her throb in the head, which was bad.
She spotted a few people she'd talked at the table. The older girl...Ronnie, right? And she was cleaning? People had to do all these stuff themselves? This was the famed Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. She shook her head in disbelief. This school had lot of weird things. She waved to the girl when she caught her eye. Might as well behave good.
And then there was the pestering lecture lioness. "Hey" she called as she walked towards the seats. She badly wanted to sit down. She was having a very bad.....feeling.
She looked around for the out-of-world girl. She'd promised some tasty noodles. Amara was very hungry. Not eating wasn't really good for her since it increased the condition. Her eyes passed through the crowd, searching the girl.
There was Fro and some other guy. She waved to her. "You're already in?" she asked surprised. "I never saw you entering!" Weird. And she was about to move towards Fro...when.
AH. JUST SO BAD. BAD...MAD...!
She flopped into the nearest seat and ducked down. Her head in her hands within seconds. The pain was....moving. She wanted to SHOUT.

Put her hands on his shoulder, Aphrodite said, "You'll be okay, Troy. You have your sister and your niece and you also have me as your friend Troy. You could tell me anything," Aphrodite said with a smile into him.
"My family? Could say I have a pretty big family, because I have four older brothers and they were all still in school at Hogwarts. They really like to tease me and sometimes I miss them when they were all in school. But now I'm here and will be able to meet with them every day. Later when we met with them, I'll introduce you to them, "she said, smiling sweetly. Quote:

The young Gryffindor beamed, smiling showing cute front teeth. This kid was too busy having fun and enjoying his youth too be caught up in sadness. "I'm going to be a ninja, I got these sick karate moves!" Troy was really good a changing the subject with sometimes not even realizing it, but all in all he means well. "Okay. I'll meet your brothers." Troy nodded and smiled. He eyed the cat and his one good eye widened and he wrinkled his nose in a subtle manner. "I like turtles" | |

"You mean, Ninja turtle on the television?" Aphrodite referred to a movie that she and her brother watched .. As one of the pureblood family, television wasn't her strongest knowing but somehow she remembers her brother movement did after watching the film. "You're really remind me to my brothers, Troy. Let me move Iris to the carrier," she said as she stepped up to take the carrier, Troy obviously do not like cats, "Troy, you want to walk to the kitchen? Looks like I'll get Amara some food," said Aphrodite, looking up at Amara's limp.
