Default Gregory the Smarmy

A medieval wizard, Gregory the Smarmy invented Gregory's Unctuous Unction, a potion that makes the drinker think whomever gave the potion is his or her best friend. Gregory allegedly wormed his way into King Richard's confidence with this potion and thus made his fortune.

Behind his chipped statue used to be a secret passageway outside the school, which was found by Fred and George Weasley during their first week of school and which caved in during the Battle of Hogwarts. The statue has since been used as a landmark on the fifth floor corridor.

"Excuse me," Aphrodite said with a little loud on a corridor that (possibly) empty.

After making sure no one around her, Aphrodite still carrying his vacuum cleaner immediately pull her wand out. Of course it is very dangerous when vacuuming rubbish and litter when there're someone that got hit with it.

Once again she made sure no one was passing, and she said, "Vacavus," to the statue of Gregory the Smarmy.

As she predicted, all the dust is sucked into the vacuum cleaner of hers. She must immediately rushed to finish her first homework.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

Jory decided this would be the last place he would be cleaning. This should do it for the homework, right? Plus he needed to finish the Herbology homework.

"Vacavus!'' the Puffer said, tapping the vacuum for maybe a zillionth time. He moves the hose over Gregory the Smarmy's statue. It was a bit dusty. He knew it held a secret passage and honestly, he would love to go down it sometime.

"I am a black hole,'' the boy muttered. "A giant back hole, sucking everything in.'' He grinned to himself as the hose went for the base of the statue. When he was done with that, he turned his attention to the floor where he vacuumed up some more dust.

"That should do it,'' Jory thought. He stopped the vacuum and headed back for the common room.

After spending the whole morning with her fellow female Ravenclaws talking just about pure randomness, Beezus decided it was time to do her second tea leaf reading of the day since it was nearing noon. She planned to hold it somewhere quiet but preferably not in a classroom and so when she reached the statue of Gregory the Smarmy, she immediately stopped. It was enough quiet here, all right. And the sunlight illuminating from the large windows provided the vicinity a relaxing glow.

Beezus pulled out her wand and tergeo'd the floor in front of her before she set her bag down and descended herself. Then she sat cross legged as she carefully fished out her thermos, teacup and box of chamomile tea from inside her bag.

Without waiting for the raven to turn white, she filled the cup with hot water and added in a teaspoon of tea leaves. She watched the substance dissolve in the water whilst she tried to clear her mind. Sadly, as she was more awake now than earlier, the whole mind-clearing attempt didn't go quite well. But she tried. She really did. It was just unfortunate that she couldn't though. Things were making going in and out of her head, especially what her and her girls have talked about earlier.

Sigh.

Girl brain was at work.

When the tea had cooled somewhat, the brunette then lifted it up and held it to her lips as she slowly sipped the calming, assuaging liquid. She was glad her mother sent her chamomile. It was actually her favorite tea flavor and she was thoroughly enjoying it right now. Yep, yep. But that did not stop a the nagging thought from invading her head. The one she and Elise had talked seriously about. What, they do have some serious topics.....sometimes. So, anyway. It was Quidditch-related. So....that will be her "question" for this reading then?

Oh, okay. Focus on that though. Focuuuuus.

Then came the three swirls of truth. The tea dregs haphazardly scattered about and stuck to the inside of the cup....in random places. After so, Beezus flipped the cup over on the saucer counted one to three with her breaths and turn it back over. She was getting really good with that whole cup-turning-over. Hmm. Maybe it will come in handy sometime.

Now, time to read.

Rim....Beezus narrowed her eyes, eyebrows forking as she stared hard at the tea residues. She could make out something that appeared like....it was a small creature that she couldn't very well identify but she was sure that it was....an insect. Yes. There was an insect in the book, right? ........................Okay. There it was. Small worry, hmm? Well...that one was true. There was really some anxiety issues brewing on at the current moment.

She jotted that down and moved on to the middle of the cup.

....where she saw........."Holy snitch. A goat." Yeeep. She definitely was seeing a goat. Lookit, there was it's stubby body and its horns. It even had a short mustache. Hehe. Yeah. She was sure it was a goat, okay? Only in a blue moon could she not have problems with looking for symbols so she was going to take that as a goat whether anyone else would disagree or not. And a goat means? The need to take action? ....That seemed like a perfect read too. Yes, they really needed to take action especially since their match against Slytherin was fast approaching.

Next, the base. Mmk. This one looked like a fruit. Kinda oblong-ish with spikey thinggies on top? ....Hmm. "Oh." Oh indeed. Why, it was actually identifying this one. A pineapple! Huzzah. Some quick textbook flippage here and...IT WAS A VERY GOOD SIGN. Oooooh. She liked that. So she hurriedly jotted everything down along with their corresponding meanings and her journal entry next to the one she had that morning.

SPOILER!!: Journal!
SPOILER!!: Entry #1
Rim :: Ball
- A ball predicts that your luck will be much like a bouncing ball going from good to bad, but you will be able to bounce back.

Middle :: Ladder
- A ladder in your teacup suggests an increase in income and status. It can also represent the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds and is thence a good sign for those on a spiritual journey.

Base :: Peacock
- A beautiful peacock can foretell a happy marriage to an attractive partner.

First of all, the rim showed me a ball. At least I think it was a ball and it supposedly means that my luck is bouncing up and down. Luck on what exactly, I can't really pinpoint. However, I take it as a good thing since I'll be able to "bounce back".

The middle part deems good too. An increase in income and status. It probably means I'll be able to sell many plants during our trip to Hogsmeade and earn a few more galleons since I'm running out of money now that our school is practically eating all our money with each move we take. Relationship between the physical and spiritual? What can I say? Nothing.

And at the base I found a peacock. Maybe it was not a peacock? Okay, I think it was not a peacock. But I've already written it down so..... Apparently, it means I'll be happily married to someone attractive. I don't know about that. Can we not talk about this? Erm, no comment. I should just probably do this reading again. I'm getting weird symbols.

SPOILER!!: Entry #2
Rim :: Insect
- An insect indicates a small worry or angst.

Middle :: Goat
- A goat can symbolise the need to take action with bravery and judgement in order to reach your goals.

Base :: Pineapple
- A pineapple is a very good sign! It promises that a faded or forgotten hope will develop.

This reading's focus is something Quidditch-related and as far as it all went down, I think the symbols are starting to be clearer. Or maybe one's consciousness does affect the reading considering I am more awake now than when I performed the first one.

Anyway, the symbols....on the rim I found an insect and it hits the topic full on. There is really small worry about the subject of the matter currently. The middle part showed me a goat. It was not a dog, it was really a goat. And I think this is foretelling us that we need to encourage bravery and well-placed judgement on out team especially that the match against Slytherin was fast-approaching. Those are very much needed for their team to beat the opposing team out there in the Pitch. And lastly for the base, a pineapple which apparently is a good sign. I would so be holding onto this one. It symbolizes hope too and that is very much needed when we're playing out there. So, all in all, this reading hasn't been as confusing as this morning and I personally liked the things I've read.

With a smile on her face, she signed that journal entry before tucking it back with her things. She cleaned up the tea stuffs she used, slung her bag over her shoulder and got out of there.

She was actually excited what her reading for tonight was going to be like. But first, she needed lunch and she promised Dylan they were going to eat together so she hurried along.

Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Oakey didn't go far from the Ancient Runes Class, he picked up a brush from the table and filled an empty vial with some of the red paint that Botros had set aside for them to use. He moved along the Corridor until he came across the Smarmy Statue. He sat down beside it and took out his Gandr and a piece of parchment. He laid the Gandr and Red paint out on the parchment then dipped the brush into the vial of red paint.

He started to stroke the gandr with his brush spreading the paint across from it.
"Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho." Oakey kept on chanting this over and over as he painted his Whomping Willow Gandr. "Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz,Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho, Sowillo, Kenaz, Raidho. "

So ummm...He may have done two coats. he got caught up in his chanting and lost track of how much paint he used. Packing up, Oakey moved back to the Classroom.
