| | |  Gobstones Match: Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor
The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the icy, winter air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's third match.
The blue and red marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. Aquila Llewelyn, having a running streak of luck, accuracy, and speed during these last few rounds, stayed in her place by the court. Her teammates had no problem with it, seeing as they were gaining points, though Alexa Cambridge and the rest of the Gryffindor team gave their disapproving looks towards the Eagles. Taking up another red stone, Alexa steadied her aim before rolling the stone into play before Aquila even started to set up. It rolled to a stop close enough to the Jack Stone to give her a smug look. The young Eagle gave no hint of being worried as she got close to the playing 'field' and flicked the blue stone into play. It rolled at an angle, before giving a final 'TAP' against the red stone, pushing it out of the way and ultimately demeaning itself closes to the Jack Stone.
"One point to the Ravenclaws!" Medea announced over the unhappy voices of the Gryffindors. "Come on now. Sit sit sit."

The Ravenclaws may have been on a roll this game, but the Gryffindors were tough fighters and not going to give up so easily! The red stone was handed off to fourth year Gryffindor, Penelope Greenwell, to give her a try at a round. The Gryffindor's determined gaze didn't leave the Ravenclaws as she moved around the court, debating which angle would be best. Aquila Llywelyn stayed on the court, rolling the blue shooter between her fingers as she watched the Gryffindor for a moment before turning her attention to the playing 'field' itself, getting ready to aim her shot. Before she could roll the stone into play however, the gentle 'tap' of the red stone bouncing onto the court reached their ears. And quite a shot it was! It looked to be on the path right towards the Jack Stone, until a wild blue stone came out of nowhere and knocked it out of play, giving the Ravenclaws the round.
"Two points to Raven- Oh, settle down, Lions! Don't make me give you each a rule book." She chuckled, half joking...though half being serious. She WOULD! It was a valid play and the knew it. AHEM. "Two points to Ravenclaw!"

The Gryffindor team stood up as their fifth year quidditch captain, Alice Fischer, took the place as the next red and gold player on the court, giving their claps and cheers as they did so. The Ravenclaws glanced to one another, before they too slowly got out of their seats to clap and cheer for their own player, Aquila Llywelyn, whom stayed on the court, rolling the blue stone in her hands. While the two teams had their competition on who could be louder, Aquila and Alice readied their aim at the Jack Stone. Among the cheers and shouts from their teammates was the sound of two 'taps' against the playing 'field' as the stones were rolled into play. Both had spectacular aim, though the speed of the blue stone was much greater than the red shooter, reaching the Jack Stone with a crashing end. It was inevitable that the Lions were sent gobstones goo in their direction.
"Three points to Ravenclaw!" Medea squeaked, flinching away from the putrid goo.

It was becoming a game of who can be the loudest; just as much as who beat Aquila Llywelyn during the next rounds. The loud groans of the Lions as the gobstones goo was sent in their direction turned into words of motivation and cheers after the initial shock wore off while the Ravenclaws started to stand on their seats, their cheers rivaling the Gryffindors. Alexa Cambridge replaced Alice Fischer for the Lion's side, handing the quidditch captain a towel as they passed each other. Aquila kept her place all the court, beaming at her teammates before readying her aim for the next round. Third year Alexa took a position away from the third year Eagle, though perhaps not the best spot on the court. As the Gryffindor tossed her red stone onto the playing 'field', it had sloped around the Jack Stone and landed a few inches behind it. After seeing this, Aquila carefully rolled her blue stone into play, just enough to declare it the closest to the Jack Stone.
"One point to the Ravenclaws!" Medea announced, adding the point to the scoreboard.

With a proud grin upon her face, Aquila Llywelyn continued with her perfect aim in the game, picking up another blue stone and started to ready her aim as the Gryffindors took awhile to decide just who would be rolling for them next. They finally had one of their teammates pick up a red stone, moving around the court to figure out which spot was best. Right next to Aquila. As the stones were rolled into play, it was evident that the blue stone would be deemed the closest.
"Two points to Ravenclaw!"
