| | |  Gobstones Match: Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor
The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the icy, winter air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's third match.
The blue and red marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. Beatrice handed over the shooter to Nigel who looked eager to give the shooter another go. For the lions Sarah remained on the court. The two players released their shooters and watched their stones speed off. It was a tight race but the blue stone managed to hit the Jack stone first.

Medea, having been hanging back by her own seat for the beginning of the match, stood up and slowly made her way closer to the court. She waved a little to Callie and stuck her tongue out at Airey before putting her full attention on the next round.
Switching up their team members seems to be a new strategy for the Ravenclaws, and it was working from the looks of it. Nigel Barrington took his seat on the bench as Aquila Llwelyn took his place with her blue shooter in hand. Sarah Edwards remained on the court for the Gryffindors, her teammates giving pointers and tips from the sideline before erupting in a cheer of motivation and encouragement. As the stones were rolled into play, the red stone pulled ahead only momentarily before it started to slow down, stopping a few inches to the side of the Jack Stone while the blue shooter stopped a mere few centimeters away.
"Three points to Ravenclaw!" Medea announced excitedly, glancing to Leo. Oh erm, yes. Apparently she was calling that round.

On a roll with their aim, and quite determined to achieve the perfect shot of the game, both Aquila of Ravenclaw and Sarah of Gryffindor kept their positions on the court. The new stones rolled in their hands as they examined the distance between them and the Jack Stone, not rushing too soon into their next toss. After a few moments, they readied their stones and tossed them into play. The blue stone rolled slow and steady, but the red stone rolled with a bit more speed, despite it's slight curve, landing it a few centimeters closer to the Jack Stone than the round previously. However, slow and steady apparently wins this race as the blue stone stopped just a hair away from the Jack Stone.
"Oh, one point to the Ravenclaws!"

Not moving from her position, Aquila Llywelyn took up another blue stone as her teammates encouraged her to give it another round. Gryffindors weren't disheartened by the lead the Ravenclaws were gaining as they readied themselves for the next round. Quiet and focused, the lion's team were on the edge of their seats as they eyed the court, possibly trying to think up their next strategy, unlike the eagles whom were on their feet and pointing out a few areas on the playing 'field'. It became quiet after a moment, in which both players took the opportunity to roll their stones. The red stone started to curve, rolling right passed the Jack Stone while the blue stone hit it straight only a moment after.
Oh, the poor Lions got the first gobstones goo of the game sent towards them.
"Two points to Ravenclaw!" Medea announced, glancing to the Gryffindors. "Shake it off, Lions. There's still a ton of game to play!"

With the Eagles taking their moment of small victory in the background, for both the round and their clean robes, Aquila Llywelyn took up another blue stone, smiling back to her teammates. Alexa Cambridge tossed her towel onto her seat as she grabbed a red stone and took her position by the court, muttering under her breath and ignoring the Eagle's doing the wave. A cleared throat and pointed look from Medea though had everyone back on track and the room growing silent. Mostly. Aquila was the first to release her stone onto the court and Alexa rolled the red stone into play just a moment after, seeming surprised that she was second. The red stone rolled quite close to the Jack Stone, however, the blue stone had not slowed until just a fraction of an inch away.
"Three points to Ravenclaw!" Medea breathed a sigh of relief, having been fidgeting at the prospect of another gobstones goo round. Thankfully, it was not.
