Both teams were on their feet now, glancing to one another while trying to direct their players in the best possible way that they could. Twice the officials had to remind them about just how many could be on the court at once. The captain battle continued as Ella Bishop and Dylan Montmorency stayed in place, yet a teammate from each of their teams were trying mighty hard to scoot closer to the court. Jory Stonewall and West Odessa were stretching as far out as they could to wave at the court, trying to pinpoint the exact location for their teammates to make the best shot. After a minute of confused glances from the captains, Jory and West switched their places, deciding to take this round for themselves. Not being ones to argue with dedicated members of their team, Dylan and Ella took their seats just as the stones were quickly rolled into play. It was almost unclear just which stone would land closest to the Jack Stone, or if they'd even hit it considering their speed. However, as quiet as the rolls might've been, there was a gentle tap against the Jack Stone from the yellow shooter, quickly followed by the green stone. "TWO POINTS TO HUFFLEPUFF!" Medea announced, hopping out of the way in case there was any potential gobstones goo. It was in the final tosses of the game. No one was sitting in their seats, though Dylan Montmorency and Ella Bishop did take their positions back on the court with new stones in hand. After a quick inspection to make sure neither of them had cracks and they were in perfect condition, the players steadied their aim as their teammates cheered and encouraged them from the sidelines. It was a quick round. The stones were tossed into play, the green stone giving two bounces that seemed to have altered it's course before rolling straight, just around the Jack Stone. The yellow stone, however, rolled straight and true, right up to the Jack Stone and stopping just a mere half a centimeter away from it. "THREE POINTS TO HUFFLEPUFF!" Medea announced, excitedly adding the points to the scoreboard. NOTE: The Slytherins have contested question 23. The points have been fixed and a new question worth the same amount will be asked at the end of the match. The air was tense in the room. Players were cheering, disagreeing, encouraging, flailing, and everything in between as the stones were rolled and calls were made. Time almost seemed to speed up as the players quickly picked up another stone, ready to aim and shoot them. West Odessa grabbed the green stone however, before Dylan Montmorency could, and took his place on the court next to Ella Bishop who stayed for the Hufflepuffs. It didn't take long before the two stones were rolled onto the court, and as quick as they were to aim, they were just as speedy down the 'playing field'. Knocking into one another a couple times in the process, the yellow stone rolled to a stop just a few inches behind the Jack Stone, while the green shooter landed just an inch away to the side. In the final round of the match, no one was sitting, and it seemed the space between the court and the sidelines had shortened. All eyes were on the court and everyone wanted the best view of the last roll. Just like how the match started, it ended with captain against captain. Ella Bishop and Dylan Montmorency picked up their final gobstones stone and slowly steadied their aim. Their tosses were careful, without much speed, but with great aim. The two stones inched their way towards the Jack Stone. It was almost comical how slow they were going compared to the tense atmosphere in the room. After what seemed like loooong seconds, the yellow stone softly 'TAP'ped against the Jack Stone, causing the putrid gobstones goo to spit at Dylan and the rest of his teammates. Slytherins hissed!rawred, Hufflepuffs cheered, and a certain official squeaked, hopping out of the way of the crossfire. "The final two points go to Hufflepuff!" Medea declared, adding the points to the scoreboard. "And there we haff the end of the fantastic FOURTH gobstones match of the season! VELL PLAYED, EVERYONE. Let's all haff a big round of applause for our vinners today, Hufflepuff, receiving a total of twenty-nine points!" Medea paused to clap, bouncing a little on her heels. "And also, lets haff a round of applause for the Slytherins who put up a MIGHTY good fight, receiving a total of nineteen points, AND...for our player of the match today, Mister Dylan Montmorency." Continuing to clap, she glanced around the room to all who else were, before giving the two teams a biiiig thumbs up. "Of course, all the points earned today vill be added tovards the Gobstones cup! I do hope you don't miss our next exciting match and...haff a vonderful rest of the day!" She, on the hand, would be going to find some scented candles for this room.
