Last question of the session. The captain against captain battle wasn't going to end any time soon from the looks of it. Dylan Montmorency automatically took up another green stone, half glancing to his teammates as they tried to whisper!yell strategies to their quidditch captain. Regardless of their attempts to try and make sure the Hufflepuffs weren't listening in on them, the badgers had their own strategies they were quite confident in; having no need to eavesdrop. Ella Bishop, after toweling off the invisible/non existent beads of sweat off her forehead, took her position on the court, aiming the yellow shooter with immense focus. Dylan, having momentarily glanced to his opponent, was the first to release his stone into play, just before the yellow shooter joined in. However, the green stone seemed to have a spin on it, yet continuing straight forward. Perhaps for a very lucky, or very intended, reason. The yellow shooter rolled a bit too close to the green stone, and as they knocked heads so to speak, the yellow shooter was spun right off it's course, letting the green stone to slowly come to a halt closest to the Jack Stone. "TWO POINTS TO SLYTHERIN!" Medea announced, arms flung in the air. Gooooaal....!? After an inspection of the yellow stone to make sure that wasn't a CRACK anyone saw on it, Ella Bishop of Hufflepuff carefully replaced it with another, more intact, yellow shooter. It might've been an R.I.P. for that little trooper of a stone. Having been standing near his Slytherin teammates, Dylan Montmorency watched the inspection from afar, until they were given the green light to continue playing. With a green stone in hand, he walked around the court, pausing on the side Ella claimed for her next roll. It was a fast two rolls, one right after the other with the fastest speed anyone has seen in today's match. Most people didn't have much time to blink before one of them hit the Jack Stone, but the stones were such evenly matched, it wasn't quite clear just who was first! Until... The putrid gobstones goo was spitted towards the Slytherins. Woah. "THREE POINTS TO THE HOUSE OF BADGERS!" Grabbing a few towels, not that it really helped the Slytherins and the smell that was now coming off of their clothing, after a quick wipe down, Dylan Montmorency hurriedly picked up another green stone and moved straight into steadying his aim. The badgers were celebrating their fantastic shot for the moment, giving the Slytherin quidditch captain a moment on the court all to himself. Noticing this, seventh year Jory Stonewall squeezed out of the group of Hufflepuff's, grabbing a yellow stone along the way. Just as he arrived next to the 'playing field', the green stone was rolled onto the court. Not as quickly as the previous round, but with great aim. It eventually stopped right next to the Jack Stone, enough to make the Slytherin look pleased. Perhaps feeling a bit rushed, Jory released his own yellow stone into play, though it didn't have much aim as it did speed. What could have been a great shot, rolled right passed the Jack Stone and out of play. "ONE POINT TO THE SLYTHERINS!" And can someone bring some scented candles in here or something? Despite the growing smell in the room, the cheers erupted from the Slytherin side as the point was added to their score. The Hufflepuffs shook it off, considering their seven point lead still, and Ella Bishop once again switched places with Jory on the court. Jory Stonewall and Wade Potter however were particularly persistent with trying to voice strategies to their Hufflepuff captain; to the point of being repeatedly told to sit down. Only one player from each team on the court at a time! Dylan Montmorency continued to act for the Slytherin team, flicking the green stone in the air and catching it every now and then as he walked around the court for a better position. Bending closer to the 'playing field', the players readied their aim, eyes squinting and breaths being held before the two stones were rolled into play. Revenge, perhaps, was on the Hufflepuff's mind as it seemed the yellow stone had quite a spin on it. It was a deja vu event as the two stone tapped against one another, yet instead of the yellow stone's course being altered, the green stone suddenly took a turn in the opposite direction. As the shooters finally stopped, it was deemed the yellow stone was closest to the Jack Stone. "TWO POINTS TO HUFFLEPUUUUFF!" Medea announced, momentarily uncovering her mouth and nose to do so. Not being able to hold back, Jory Stonewall grabbed a yellow stone and walked eagerly onto the court, already steadying his aim before Ella Bishop realized what was going on. Shaking her head, the Hufflepuff quidditch captain took her seat with the rest of her badger teammates, not minding letting someone else take a shot at a round. Dylan Montmorency had other plans however, continuing his place on the court for the Slytherin team. Aiming his own stone, the two players released their shooters one after the other, the only sound in the room at the present time being the stones rolling down the 'playing field'. Waiting for the stones to come to a slooooow stop, the officials had to take a closer inspection at the two to declare just which one was closest to the Jack Stone. "THREE POINTS TO..." Raising their hands and voices in disagreement with the last call, the some Slytherins stood up from their seats, pointing at the stones. Despite his agreeing with the matter, Dylan Montmorency waved for them to sit down, having full confidence he'd right this matter in the next upcoming round. Ella Bishop, having switched places with Jory Stonewall, eyed the snakes while finding a good opening position from her spot, straight to the Jack Stone on the court without a ton of gobstone stones in the way. Dylan already found his place, steadying his aim while squinting an eye. The yellow shooter was first to be released on the court, followed by the green shooter a split second later. Quite clearly, the green stone was put into play to knock out the yellow stone. Being hit full on, the yellow shooter spun a few good inches AWAY from the Jack Stone, coming to a halt quite farther away from it's intended target, while the green stone slowly came to a stop just near the center of the court.
