With the Slytherin's cheering in the background, drowning out the Hufflepuff's mellow clapping, Dylan Montmorency and Jory Stonewall seemed to have decided to stay on the court for another round. The claps and words of encouragement went well into the round as the players rolled their stones into play. Rather slowly at that. It wasn't quite clear just who would make it closest to the Jack Stone as they inched their way forward. At last, for what seemed like the longest roll in gobstones history, the green shooter lightly tapped against the Jack Stone so softly, not a sound was heard. What everyone saw however, was the gobstones goo being shot towards the Hufflepuffs. Hopping backwards away from the goo, Medea tapped the scoreboard with her wand. "Three points to Slytherin!" Captain against captain seemed to have turned into seventh year against seventh year as Dylan and Jory eyed each other while taking up another stone of their respective house. The Snakes were making their way back into the game and the Hufflepuffs were noticing. However, they continued to clap and cheer for their determined player on the court while he readied his aim. Dylan gave a smirk to his own teammates, heading around the court for a different perspective of the 'playing field'. No claps or cheers halted and it seemed the two houses were competing to see who could be the loudest. The players payed no attention, putting all their focus on the court, before releasing their stones into play. It was clear from the start that the green stone was greater in speed, despite matching the yellow stone in aim, ultimately being the first to hit the Jack Stone with a loud 'TAP'. "ONE..." Medea paused, eyeing the Jack Stone. No goo? Alrighty then! "ONE POINT TO THE SNAKES!" With a couple of victories in his pocket, Dylan Montmorency took his seat next to his Slytherin teammates, switching places with another quidditch player, sixth year Clement Belrose. With the change in players, Jory Stonewall decided to give it another go now that there was a new opponent. Much more quick to ready his aim, Clement took no notice to what Jory was up to as he steadied his hand, completely focused on the 'playing field'. On the other hand, Jory seemed half focused on the court and half focused on just what the Snake player was up to. Being half distracted, Jory released the yellow stone earlier than he planned, and without much aim. It rolled more in a horizontal angle and right out of player. The green stone was released soon after, aiming enough to clear it as the winner of the round. "Two points to the Slytherins!" Shaking his head, Jory Stonewall took his seat, teammates clapping him on the back while Hufflepuff Captain Ella Bishop once again took her place on the court next to Slytherin Captain Dylan Montmorency. Despite the loud cheers in previous rounds, the players on the side and crowd grew suddenly quiet, watching as both Ella did a few flicking exercises before bending closer to the court to get a good view and Dylan just raising an eyebrow at the act. While focusing on their aim, the onlookers sat on the edge of their seats. Lip biting, hand gripping, toe curling watching. Finally, the two stones were rolled into play, but it looks as though the Hufflepuffs had their own sneaky strategy. Before making it halfway down the court, the yellow stone bumped into the green shooter, causing the Slytherin's perfect aim to roll to the side, while the yellow shooter came to a halt just mere inches from the Jack Stone. "Threeeee-" Oh, good Merlin, the Slytherins couldn't have rawr!hissed any louder. "THREE POINTS TO THE HUFFLEPUFFS!" After taking a joking victory lap around the small court, Ella Bishop picked up another yellow stone for the house of Hufflepuff. Dylan Montmorency leaned against the 'playing field', watching the event with an unamused gaze while rolling his own green shooter in his hand, turning his attention to the court after a few moments. While the Slytherins gave their best stink eyes and glares, the Hufflepuffs were standing and cheering on their quidditch captain. Steadying their aim, the two stones were rolled into play after a few short seconds. One pulled in front of the other for the lead over and over until the green stone slowed to a pause three inches away from it's intended target, giving the yellow shooter a good few centimeters lead. It stopped just to the side of the Jack Stone. "One point to the Hufflepuffs!"
