Much like every other start of a game, Medea stayed off to the sidelines, watching the first few plays from afar. Though not very many people in the stands. Probably off having ice cream parties and whatnot. Lucky ducks. It was captain against captain as Dylan Montmorency and Ella Bishop stayed on the court, rolling their stones between their hands, eyeing each other to see who was going to roll first. Despite the favored tip towards the Hufflepuffs starting off, it was still early in the game, making it anyone's match. Finally, Ella was the first to roll her yellow stone into play, followed closely by Dylan's green stone. It was rather clear that the yellow stone had an angle on it, causing it to eventually roll around it's intended target. However, the green shooter rolled right up to the Jack Stone and stopped with a light 'TAP' against it. "Three points to Slytherin!" Medea announced, hopping out of her seat. Squee! Unaffected by the loss of the previous round, Ella Bishop continued to stay on the court for the Hufflepuffs while the Slytherins had a bit of trouble figuring out just who would be playing for this round. Finally the Snakes let someone on the court, while Ella started to carefully steady her aim at the Jack Stone. As the two stones were tossed into play, no one had a clue what the green stone was doing as it rolled around and ultimately rolled right out of play while the yellow stone steadily came to a stop rather close to the Jack Stone. "One point to Hufflepuff!" No one was messing with the stones, were they?! Getting their heads straight and strategies together, Dylan Montmorency walked towards the court while his teammates clapped and cheered words of motivation behind him. Ella Bishop stayed in her position as player for the Hufflepuff team, watching her opponent carefully. It was captain against captain again, almost becoming the theme of today's match. Simultaneously, the two players bent closer to the court, still eyeing one another before their focus finally slipped towards the Jack Stone. A few quiet seconds later, the two stones were rolled into play, both with speed and aim for a fantastic round. However, the yellow stone tapped against the green stone just enough as they came to a stop to declare it the closest to the Jack Stone. DID THEY ALL SEE THAT? "Two points go to Hufflepuff!" It almost looked as if Dylan Montmorency was going to take a seat, until he saw the Hufflepuff's changing up their players. Seventh year Jory Stonewall was taking the position as the Hufflepuff's player on the court. Eyeing the seventh year the best he could give, Dylan backtracked to the court, picking up another green stone along the wall. Although, it seemed he was using his time staring more at the yellow stone than the actual court. Jory was concentrating particularly hard, eyeing the distance between him and the Jack Stone. The yellow stone was the first to be released onto the court, quickly followed by the green stone, for a tricky reason apparently. If the yellow shooter hadn't had the speed, the green stone would've collided RIGHT into it, however, it passed JUST behind it and almost out of play, giving the Hufflepuff's another round as the yellow stone came to a stop a mere centimeter away from the Jack Stone. Last question of the session. As Dylan Montmorency moved back over to his teammates to think up a few strategies for the next toss, though certainly not switching players, Jory Stonewall picked up another yellow stone, giving himself a few seconds head start in aiming the shooter. Without the Slytherin Captain eyeing a whole through him, mind you. Just as he was ready to roll the stone, Dylan moved on over to the court, bending lower to get a good view of the angle and distance he needed. The two stones were rolled onto the 'playing field', right after one another, and it was reeeaaaallllly unclear as to who was going to win the round. Yet, with just a bit more speed than the green shooter, the yellow stone was the first to give a 'TAP' against the Jack Stone. "One point to the HUFFLEPUFFS!" Medea announced, giving a twirl over to the scoreboard and tapping it with her wand to add the point. With the hint of tasting almost victory last round, Dylan Montmorency stayed on the court, grabbing another green stone with a determined look focused more on the 'playing field' this round. Jory Stonewall of Hufflepuff took a moment to gather up some strategy information from his teammates before he too picked up another yellow stone and readied his aim towards the Jack Stone. Teammates were starting to sit on the edge of their seats as they watched their players flick the stones into play, one after the other. The yellow stone had a slight angle to it, though managed to land in decent range of the Jack Stone. The green shooter, however, rolled straight up to the Jack Stone, stopping a mere half an inch away from it. "TWO POINTS TO SLYTHERIIIIIIIN!" Oh, it was sooooo good to say both team's names.
