| | |  Gobstones Match: Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor
The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the brisk, early autumn air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first match.
The red and gold marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch. OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. Gryffindor's Alexa Cambridge was not going to back down from the fight like the lion she was, readying her aim while the Hufflepuffs switched up their players once again. Ella Bishop took the spot once more, quick to aim her yellow stone. Both stones were rolled into play simultaneously, seeming to be on the same straight path to the middle of the 'field', though it was clear the yellow shooter had a little more power behind it, hitting the Jack stone first with a 'clink'.
"Points go t-" A somewhat delayed second coating of goo was shot towards the Gryffindors. Oh dear. "Points go to Hufflepuff!"

After wiping a bit of goo off of her face, Alexa Cambridge waved down her teammates and took up another red stone. Meanwhile, Ella Bishop stayed where she was, deciding to give it another try. At least once more. However, she had a funny expression forming on her face, until a sudden 'ACHOO' echoed in the room. Alexa, just about to flick her red stone into play, jumped from the noise and caused her shooter to roll right passed the jack stone and off the 'field', while Ella Bishop's yellow shooter rolled forward a few inches and then backwards until it fell right out of play as well. Oh, bad luck. Comical perhaps, but no points for either side.

Having a case of the sneezes, Alec Summers of Hufflepuff replaced Ella, yellow stone in hand and looking mighty determined. Almost as much as young Alexa Cambridge who, after a brief moment of looking exceptionally in disbelief at what just happened, rolled up her sleeves and took up another red stone. Both players took a deep breath before rolling their stones. Unfortunately, they instead rolled right into each and out of play.
Good Merlin, Medea didn't know how much longer she could hold her breath. This was intense! [Correct Answer: Jupiter]

Oh! It seemed they were getting some cheering going on in the stands. Ahem, just as long as their astronomy proffessor behaved!
Deciding it was high time to have someone else take a turn, a few Gryffindors made Alexa take a seat while Gryffindor quidditch captain Alice Fischer took her place instead. Switching out players seemed to be a good strategy for the Hufflepuffs, as Kaiden Yarborough stood up to try his hand at the game. As the stones were rolled, the red shooter managed to find itself with the most speed of the two, hitting the Jack stone straight on just as the yellow shooter made it halfway down the playing 'field'. The putrid smelling goo wasted no time in covering the Hufflepuffs.
"Oh! One point to the Gryffindors!" Tapping the score board, Medea beamed as a 1 slid right into the Gryffindor's slot.
