CoMC Lesson #1 The first Care of Magical Creatures lesson of the term is being held during the time of day that comes between afternoon and dinnertime. The skies are just beginning to darken, but only barely so. By definition, it's still daytime. |
One more lesson, just one more then it would be dinner time and she'd get ice-cream. Obviously she wasn't looking forward to the 'wonderful' meal that would come before dessert but whatever! The dessert and her candy made everything better. Besides, she tried the whole living solely on ice-cream and candy thing...it didn't go so well so she had no choice but to force the food down. No use complaining about that for now! Lex shoved the last bite of her chocolate frog into her mouth as she arrived at what she assumed would be the classroom for today. OH and there was the Professor!...Wait...was she the first to get here...? "Hello Professor!!" She gave the woman a wide grin before plopping down on a bench just bouncing slightly from all the sugar she'd had on the way down. There was another chocolate frog in her pocket...she...she kinda wanted it now, especially after seeing what was left of the ice-cream the Professor had been having. "Are we all having ice-cream once the lessons over?" |
Care of Magical Creatures. Kat liked this class, for reasons. They had interesting animals and creatures in this class so why not look forward to it as well? She also passed the OWL in this class so she had even more respect for it. Since she knew that Professor Newlin wasn't at the Feast, the prefect was quite excited to know who the new Professor was. It definitely wasn't going to be a Governor right? Hopefully. She saw a lot of them last term already and she didn't have time to see them again. Kat went over to the sort of classroom. Makeshift and all, because they were outdoors. The prefect made her way there and saw Lex. Hmm... how interesting. She was one of the first students here. "Hello, Professor," Kat said as she saw the woman there in front. She was familiar and Kat recognised her as the lady who walked passed the Slytherin Table during the feast. Yeah, that was definitely her. Who else would it have been? Kat just needed to know Professor who she was. "Welcome to Hogwarts." She wasn't sure if she was an alumna here, so that was okay. Then she went to take a seat on one of the benches. |
THIS was the lesson Derry had really been looking forward to. She grew up on a farm, and just felt some kind of affinity with animals. Horses especially, but no biggie... she wanted to learn more about magical ones. Her dad had attempted to teach her some during her tutoring, but since it was a muggle farm and they occasionally had visitors they couldn't exactly have magical creatures living on it. Which was a shame really... Derry made her way through the grounds, humming softly to herself, until she reached the outdoor classroom thing... Was everyone just living off ice cream nowadays? Derry never ate the stuff... she didn't eat broccoli either, which made eating pretty difficult around here. "Good afternoon, Professor." she said, sitting on a bench and waiting for the lesson to begin. Was it afternoon? Or was it classed as evening? Derry couldn't tell... |
This was a class Penelope was sorta looking forward to, at least as much as anyone could look forward to a class. She usually enjoyed it pretty well since it was outside and they usually got to interact with cool animals. And that was fun. She liked animals. Oh, and this was a class with a new professor. "Hey Professor," she greeted her with a smile. "Welcome to Hogwarts." Even if it probably wasn't quite as great as it had been in some aspects. Hopefully that didn't affect what creature they got to learn about in this lesson... It seemed she was also pretty early to class too since there were only a few others there at the moment. Interesting. She wasn't often this early, but she went ahead and sat down on a random bench. |
Theo wasn't overly interested in Care of Magical Creatures today, unless they were studying dragons and the professor had one caged up to show them. But he showed up, at least, and wandered brightly to sit down on a bench. Oh, a new professor? He had not even realized that the last one had gone, nor did he really care. "Hi, professor." Professor who's name we didn't know. Did he need to introduce himself? Eh, he would later. For now, he had to inspect a tiny smudge of dirt under one of his nails. |
Care of Magical Creatures. Kace of excited to go to this class. This was his sisters favorite class of all. He was going to experience what the talk was all about. As he made it and found the classroom. There were benches all set up and he noticed the professor had ice cream. O__O. Kace wished he had some right now. As he made his way to the benches and sat down, he smiled at the professor. "Hello Professor, what ice cream flavor are you eating?" he asked curiously. |
Daichi had not seen their old Care of Magical Creatures Professor at the start of term feast and he wondered who the new one was. By the end of the day, nearing dinnertime, the Slytherin's stomach growled a little as he walked over the path towards the CoMC lesson. When he arrived, he saw that he wasn't the first and quickly joined the rest. He placed his school bag beside a random bench and turned to find the new professor when he saw her.... It...it was that woman he had been eyeing at the feast. that sounded wrong..ehm Staring!... even worse..ehm...politely looking? GAAAH! Checking if his Prefect badge was pinned right to his uniform, the Slytherin walked to the front. Unaware of how red his cheeks were from blushing. "Uhm..hello..welcome to class..HOGWARTS! i meant the school not class, well the class as well since ..yeah" He took a deep breath when he noticed he was rambling again. "Welcome to Hogwarts, Professor" he finally corrected himself. |
Time for some one on one animal time. Yeah, the ridiculous magical kind. The ones that you couldn't rub the back of their ears and chill with on the couch and watch some old movies with. No, the CRAZY ones. Like the rest of this ruddy school. POSITIVE THOUGHT... Professor was a girl. SO at least Ascanius would have something to pay attention to during the lesson. Ahem. Technically it wasn't his fault. If male Professors were remotely interesting Ascanius wouldn't have these problems. But see, they weren't. Stepping into the area where they were holding the class he saw an EXTREMELY attractive older woman eating some ice cream. Jeez. This whole school must have had something in the water. Every FEMALE Professor he had come in contact with was a Grade A Hottie. Not a frumpy woman in sight. He was being rewarded for something. He had to be. Smiling all wide and stuff, Ascanius approached his Professor and said, "Good morning, Professor." Eh, why not. Tack it on? Sure, he could do that. "You look lovely today, by the way." Truth. Now it was time to find a seat. |
Nigel walked down to the lesson in a pretty god mood. He has always liked CoMC. It probably had to do with it being outside and usually doing something fun. He even forgot that there was a new teacher this term for the class. "Hello, Professor". Nigel greeted her politely. He did wish he had some ice cream. It did look good. He went to sit on a bench. Wondering what creature they would be covering today. |
Time for Care of Magical Creatures lesson. Peyton skipped, hopped and bounced her way out to the grounds. Today was, too, a nice day. Seemed like every day was a nice, really. She came to a stop at the lesson area and-- New professor eating ice cream, say WHAT? :whaa: WAS THERE MORE? Did she have a super secret, hidden bin of ice cream SOMEWHERE? And could Peyton have ALL of it? Green-gray eyes watched steadily as the professor finished off her ice cream cone. "Hello Professooor. I'm Peyton Baltazar," she greeted, showing her pearly white teeth with a smile. With introductions out of the way, she asked nonchalantly, "Just out of curiosity, is there more ice cream?" And could she have some... ...PLEASE? |
Nate was very happy today. It was nice, beautiful, there was only two things that made Nate's mood worsen even the slightest bit. One was the fact that now they had to pay to get into their very own Common Rooms! Which made no sense. In Nate's first year magical creatures were attacking the students. The next year a crazy, youth stealing three hundred year old witch suddenly showed up out of the blue. Next year there was a new headmaster, and something about a spirit. After that year nothing really happened other than a Board of Governers Election. Now they had to pay to get into their own common rooms?! It was like there was some sort of plot going on here. The other thing that bothered Nate is how this time the class was held during the afternoon. Normally it was held in the morning, or EARLY afternoon. As he noticed the people with the Professor Nate said "Hey Professor. Welcome to Hogwarts. I hope you like it here." He said with his most cheery of voices. |
Who was the professor fot his class again? Tora thought it started with a D... no wait B! It was Barlow, or so she was fairly certain it was. "Hello Professor Barlow" she said mumbling the last name just enough so it could be mistaken for something else if she didn't actually have the name right. "Having a nice day?" She vaguely wondered how this teacher would act. So far Tora only really liked Professor Airey and she was unsure where she stood with the other professors yet. Well, there was only one way to find out! Tora was glad they were outside without the confining walls of a classroom. She breathed a small happy sigh to be finally out of the small spaces. She walked over to one of the benches towards the right and plopped her bag down next to her. She took out her notebook just in case she would need to take notes and started humming quietly to herself the theme from the old show, Downton Abbey. Not really sure what made her think of it just then, she just did. |
Carsyn was many things, but spontaneous was not one of them. For that reason, she was most apprehensive about this Care of Magical Creatures lesson. Animals were unpredictable so much of the time... and Carsyn and unpredictability weren't a great mix. Carsyn took a seat on the bench furthest away from the Professor, not as a slight to the instructor, but as a precaution for herself. Who knows what was in store? Better safe than sorry. |
Anyone is welcome to be seat buddies. Just send me a VM What was it with Professors, and having classes so late? There were better things to be doing... Unless there were going to be dragons. That was definitely worth it. Or, he had to admit, it might be worth it if there was a warzone and planets to defeat. But... It was twilight, and he was heading down to the barns for class. And there probably wouldn't be dragons. Seeing the new Professor Lady, he gave her a smile. "Hi, Ma'am." he said, as he found a seat. |
Alec was pretty sure that he needed to be in this lesson. It was one of those 'uh-oh' subjects for him. Sort of. Because the only thing he really knew was how to feed his pets and look after them. But... magical creatures were different, yeah? Which was why this subject was so 'uh-oh' for him. Digging his hands into the pockets of his trousers, the sixteen year old continued wandering down until he reached a particular area near the barn and the sanctuary where the class must be being held. Because... well... why else would benches be put up randomly with students and the new Professor there? And speaking of new Professor... WAS SHE EATING ICE CREAM? Or... finishing. But STILL! A BIG WIDE SUPER GRIN spread across the Hufflepuff's face that reached his grey-blue eyes. It was as if someone was holding up a sign that said 'FREE ICE CREAM' or 'FREE PUPPIES' and were handing either one of those things out. And he probably should greet the woman instead of just grinning cheesily at her instead of mentally adding her to the awesome Professors list.... OKAY. "Hello Professor!" he said cheerily, "Erm... welcome to Hogwarts!" Not wanting to seem any more creepy than he was probably coming across -- BUT THE WOMAN HAD ICE CREAM -- Alec walked over towards the bench Kaiden was sitting on and sat down next to him, the grin still spread across his face. It was afternoon, which meant that Tanner was well-fed, awake (or as awake as a Tanner could be) and ready. Ready to do what, exactly? She had no clue. Although from the name of the classshe could pull up three smart guesses. She walked outside and found her "brother" talking to an older guy. Hmm, this person was certaintly not a student. This must be the new professor. Wow, the medium sized girl could be Sherlock Holmes! (insert sarcasm button here) Her older Pain in the Neck seemed to be in a good mood, and to her surprise, she was as well. Her hair wasn't a frizzy mess, she had a good breakfast, and the weather wasn't all horrible. In fact, the eleven year old made it a goal to stay happy all day, and she was going to reach this goal. Even if it meant keeping her mouth shut for a while at some point. "Hey dude." She walked up to Nate and twirled a pink highlight around her pointer finger. Waiting to be acknowledged, she pushed the rest of her blond hair over her shoulder. Gross, it was kind of dry. It was amazing what a few weeks at Hogwarts could do. Whatever. She'd find someway to fix her hair. Maybe then she could fix her social life, her knack of getting in trouble, her previously horrible grades (middle school wasn't easy for her) and her big mouth. Get some sass out of there too and she'd probably be a model child. HAH! Like that'd ever happen. |
Jory headed down to the Care of Magical Creatures class which had been set up next to the barn and sanctuary. Oh yes. And there would be a new Professor. He wondered what her teaching method would be like. As he approached the class, he was just in time to see the Professor, Professor Barlow, if he remembered her name right, finishing an ice cream cone. "Ice cream! And she didn't even share with me!'' he thought, jokingly. "I muuuuust have some when I get back to the castle!'' Yes, he must! Who cared about food when there was ice cream around, anyway? "Good day, Professor,'' Jory greeted the woman. "Welcome to Hogwarts! I'm Jory Stonewall, final year rabid Badger!'' Grin. He now hurried off to take a seat on one of the benches, but his mind was now back on ice cream. "I feel like having tons more chocolate flavour!'' |
Ice cream. The Care of Magical Creatures Professor was enjoying ice cream? Grin! If there was one thing Ella appreciated as much as she appreciated creatures, it was ice cream. Did she mention she appreciated this woman's taste already? "Hello, Professor." She greeted politely on her way by, giving the new professor a small smile before looking around for a spot to sit. Oh, Kaiden and Alec were here. She'd sit with them, yeah? Taking the seat on the bench next to Alec, the blonde leaned and greeted the two boys quietly. "Hey Alec, Kaiden." Grin. Did they see the ice cream too? |
Curious about this lesson Sonea looked around her and remembered her first year, she had not really liked it because she didn’t liked it to walk in the dirt and to work with her hands, if Sonea had a choice she would learn only from books or she would follow lessons where she could use her wand and, but here she needed to work especially with her hands, at last, that was what Sonea thought. But, she tried to do her best and this year would be the same. “Hello Professor” said Sonea friendly and smiled at the teacher before she searched for a place to sit down and wondered where this lesson was about. |
Laura looked at the Professor and was really confused, surely the Professor wasn't allowed to eat ice-cream before class it wasn't right, well it wasn't right if the Professor didn't share, surely it was only right that the Professor shared it with the whole class, surely the Professor had loads more right. "Good Day Professor." Laura smiled. "Did you have a lovely summer?" |
Care of Magical Creatures, Mack wasn't sure how this class was going to go. But she decided to make it a good one. As long as she kept a positive attitude and paid attention surely it would go well. She continued with her little pep talk only stopping to say hello to the professor. "Good Evening Professor" She smiled. Well that was what this time of day was, it was getting later, almost dinner time in fact. |
Ethan was thankful it was still rather warm this time of day as he headed outside for class, because as much as he liked to be outside and the vicinity, he didn't much care for cold.. unless he was skiing. And he certainly was not today. Today he had class and that was where he found himself, entering some little makeshift classroom area. His eyes found the new CoMC professor and he gave her a nod in greeting as he watched her.. eating an ice cream cone. Somehow that struck him as odd, but he didn't give it a whole lot of thought. "Hello, Professor," he greeted her as he walked past. "Welcome to Hogwarts." Turning to find a seat, green eyes scanned the area. Vaguely familiar faces present so far and he gave a small smile to any of them who might have caught his eye in his search. Soon finding an empty bench, he lowered himself upon it, placing his messenger bag on the ground next to him. |
Mention of Peyton! ^_^ Troy walked in he felt very excited yet a bit nervous. He spotted the Professor munching on that delicious ice cream cone: I would do crazy things for that cone. MMMMMM ice cream... The young lion thought to himself as he waved at the Professor "Good day, Professor." and marched to find a seat. Locating a place to sit he didn't want to be alone so he placed his turtle backpack next to him to save a seat for his new found bff, Peyton. |
Wade walked to where his first Care of Magical Creatures lesson began. He had been excited knowing he continue this into NEWT level with his grade. Hmm.. that ice cream looked good. Wade smirked, he was definitely going to have dessert later when dinner time came. Approaching by where the new Professor sat, he greeted her, "Hello and Welcome to Hogwarts, Professor." Giving her a smile before continuing his way onto a empty bench to sit at, letting his bag rest by his legs on the ground. |
