Mika beamed when Kaiden said it had worked. Heck she would have danced around and skipped about the room if she hadn't realized that well, there was a noise blaring in his ears. So she just nodded.

"Of course I can" she beamed, and taking out her wand she quickly went about to shut off the spell. "Finite" there - "the sound should have ended - and now you try cast the spell and I'll come through the door" she beamed, and stood there bouncing on the balls of her feet.

Laura looked at the Professor, there was no one free, everyone had a partner and no one wanted to work with her. "Professor see I'm just that good everyone doesn't want to work with me." Laura smirked, seriously now could she work with the Professor. "Come on Professor, you said yourself, it won't work without someone there with you." Yeah that's right Professor, she wasn't going to stop until she had a partner, namely the professor, otherwise she wouldn't be able to practice the spell.

Kace was happy that his charm worked! "Woah i am surprised it worked!" he said to Marigold in shock. Once he got over the shock, he wanted to stop the noise. Kace said "Finite!" and then the screeching stop.

"Well now that i know that the charm works for me and the screeching stopped, how about you try." he said smiling and step toward the right making room for Marigold to face the door.

"You can do it." he said trying to boost her confidence if she felt nervous like he did.

easy enough, right, Ariana looked over to her partner, Alice, and nodded "easy enough" trace the door while saying the spell, good right..



she was looking around the room daydreaming, which she shouldn't have been doing in the first place but she was and well, that's just what was happening. Oh, Alice wanted to go first, suited her fine, see she was listening, she didn't have to be looking to be listening. Just then her face was touched and moves to look over at the Gryffindor Captain. "I'm listening okay?" really she was, calm down, killer. Did the Lion think she was just staring at Oakey? she was wasn't so no need to get your hippogriffs all wild up.



Wha..? I'm not staring at him, I was reading over the spell and going over it in my head." Goodness what did she sign up for with this one, she was a forced to be wrecken with, Alice was, and Ariana was making mental notes to never pair with her again unless they would learning spells to make the other less annoying or something. "I wasn't, ok..?" even if he was adorable she wasn't.



even though she was annoying a bit, Alice was doing very well. Ariana might have been off in her own headspace but she was paying attention kinda and she knew what was going on, in a way.. she was just a bit distracted this lesson and well, that's just that. She saw her tracing the door out of the corner of her eye, she was watching. "Done..? Goodjob." compliments were nice right, and alice did do that pretty quickly.

going over to the door Ariana gave a sarcasticbig smile to Alice before turning the doorknob and walking through the door...

Nicely Done Miss Alice! now it was her turn... "Intrudus Concutio... In-TROO-duss Con-COO-shee-oh" she said reading the board, almost having to squint, she should of warm her glasses that might of been beneficial "In-TROO-duss Con-COO-shee-oh, In-TROO-duss Con-COO-shee-oh,In-TROO-duss Con-COO-shee-oh" this was was a dozy to say ans a bit funny when said super slowly 'In--TROO--duss Con--COOOO-sheee--oh' she said in her head and giggled a bit "nifty spell don't you think?" she said to Alice who was.. what was she doing.. probably not paying attention like she thought Ariana was doing when she was working, of course..

Why........was she looking at him like that?

"I know what the spell is." That was all Dylan said as he stepped forward and eyed the door. It was easier to say a shorter version when giving instructions. Didn't she know that? The Ravenclaw was a leader after all...

Merlin, Dylan hated it when Bee tried to 'Claw' him...

Performing the rather difficult motion, he negated the alarm, whispering "Finite Incantatem." Now, could she cast the alarm so that they could test hers?

"WHAT?" Mo cupped a hand to his ear, but he couldn't tell at ALL what Ethan was saying to him. "HOLD ON." He pointed his wand at the door and cast, "Finite Incantatem."

Almost immediately, the sound stopped and Mo sagged with relief. Now then... "What were you just saying? It's your turn now, you know?"

She waited that he remove the charm on the door before removing her hands from her ears and when she did, she sighed with relief. This charm was more than handy dandy; it was very effective. Unless you were immensely deaf.

Moving over, she shut the door close and readied her wand. Her turn to execute the spell.

"...Intrudus Concutio!" She uttered very clearly as she concentrated hard, her wrist guiding her wand to trace the door frame. After so, she threw the door a quick glance before nodding at Dylan. She wasn't sure her alarm would be as loud but she was sure that she managed to cast the charm just fine.

She backed away to let him in.

Minerva hadn't talked yet.. It wasn't because she didn't like charm oh now she LOVED charms.. Yes LOVED LOVED LOOOOOOOVED charms. So she just wasn't focusing.. Her mind kept going to other things like ice cream and how she really could use some chocolate swirl at the moment.

FOCUS.....

Okay.. SOooooo intruder charm that was super cool and she wanted to jump up and say it, but she just tried to pay attention. So the doors were for the charm well duh that was obvious. Now that she knew the charm and the wand movements could she get started..

Frown..

A partner they needed to have a partner and everyone seemed to have one.. OH NO... how did she not get a partner yet. Trying to seriously focus she needed to find a partner and it looked like her usual partner was already taken, well that was alright she would work with someone else.

Searching.. searching... searching...

Then she spotted someone jumping up she hurried over, "Professor.. professor.. I'll work with Laura.. Laura I don't have a partner and we could like work together and do the charm and have fun and practice and get ice cream afterwards and it would be super great.. right.. right?" Yep.. yep.. perfect plan so lets get started.


"We need to practice the charm first, which is a really awesome charm. I'll go first." She pulled her wand and practiced like she was doing a door frame. Then she practiced just saying the words Intrudus Concutio....Intrudus Concutio Okay now time to do them together. Doing the wand movement she spoke quickly "Intrudus Concutio" Smiling she looked at Laura, "I think that's right, what about you lets see what you got."

Dylan waited for her to go through the motions he'd just did ten minutes ago, taking a moment to peer around at others who were completing the same activity. Everyone seemed to be getting it pretty good. Not that he wanted others to fail...

Ahem.

Seeing that Beezus had finally performed the spell, the Slytherin stepped forward, grasping the door handle before twisting it and pushing it through. As he stepped through to the other side, a trilling alarm sounded...and because he was right where the spell had been perform, it seemed louder...It pricked at his ears and made him flinch.

Blink.

"It works........." Stare! Dylan took his time as he casually covered his ears.

Laura looked at the Professor and sighed, it seemed like her plan had backfired but oh well. "I'd love to be your partner Minnie." Laura never got to be partners with Minnie. "Ice-cream sounds great, can't we all go and get Mint Chocolate Ice-cream it would be awesome if we could." Laura really wanted some ice-cream now, but well she would wait anyway they had to focus on the task which was hard.

Laura was sort of daydream a bit and so only sort of heard Minnie. "It's Icetrudus concutcream?" Laura was sure it was something like that but she wasn't sure, "Or something along those lines right?"

Oh! Oh! Kendall is here. Aquila beamed at the upperclassman joining her, and listened to how she pronounced those two spells. Merlin she makes it sound so easy. Alohamora will probably be easier, but that locking spell she will obviously trip all over with.



BUT it doesn’t look like they were going to do those spells, as the Professor just said they were going to go with alarm detection. Well yes useful. If she cant lock her own doors with magic at least she can make it make a lot of noise.

She watched the Professor’s demo and realized... its even more difficult than the opening and locking spell combined. She turned her attention to Kendall and drew her wand slowly, saying the incantation a few seconds behind her fellow Claw “In-tro-duz Con-cu-tiow..... In-tru-dus Con-cu-tio..... Intrudus Concutio.” Did that sound right? She hoped so.

“Show me how it goes Kendall. Try it on the door.” The young one whispered shyly to the upperclassman. Kendall had better skills than her and she needs all the help to make sure she does this spell right.

EURRGGGHHH.

Okay. Maybe she'd done better than she had expected...the alarm was actually louder than what she had assumed it would be. Nevertheless, it was good. Better even. Only thing was that she was covering her ears too. Meh.

But when Dylan voiced out a confirmation, she had to remove her cupped hands on her ears once more.....ugh, dreadful removal....so she could stop the alarm. Without wasting any time, the brunette waved her wand over the door and said, "Finite Incantatem!" The spell immediately took effect and the horrible noise ebbed away.

Woot. Woot. This means they both got the spell correctly, right? Yay them.

But nay for her ears. She turned to the Slytherin and smiled somewhat reluctantly, "Talk to me...I think I lost my hearing.."

Marigold took a breath. Why was she nervous? It wasn't like Kace was going to judge her or anything. Anyway.

She started by just pronouncing the charm carefully. "In-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh. In-TROO-duse con-co-shee-oh? No. In-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh, yeah. Intrudus Concutio," she said slowly. Then, "Intrudus Concutio!"

She stepped away from the door. "Want to try it?"

Dylan waited to remove his hands until after Beezus waved her wand. Pulling them away...he eyed the door suspiciously and then turned to face her. What had she just said?

"What?"

His ears....They were legit ringing. Note to self...Don't stand right by a door that has been charmed with this spell...IF you can help it.

Merlin...

"I apologize...I missed what you said...."

Minerva smiled, "YES" she bounced a bit at this, "but.. but.. but after practicing.. So" She grabbed Laura's face and tried to look serious "Game face... F-O-C-U-S" Yes, ice cream after practicing.. First they needed to practice.

*blink.. blink*

Minerva started laughing, "Icetrudus Concutcream???" She could not be serious.. no.. was she.. did Min get it wrong.. Well maybe... "Alright I'll do it that way." Pulling her wand up and doing the motions again, "Icetrudus Concu....wait a minute *giggles* it is not Laura.. You.. You tried to trick me. You want me to mess it up on purpose." Minerva couldn't help but giggle even though she tried to glare, but glaring wasn't happening.

"Now if you want any form of ice cream you will do this right.. Follow me... " Pulling up her wand again and doing a door frame motion, "Intrudus Concutio.. Now you try it."

"Sure i will see if it works." he said.

Kace was hoping that Marigold's charm worked. He was not keen on walking through the door to hear the screeching. He took a deep breath and walked through the door and then he heard it screech!

"I THINK IT WORKS!" he said loudly to Marigold over the screeching. Kace couldn't help but cover his ears since his ears were quite sensitive. "Maybe you want to stop the charm now?" he yelled.

With a last glance at the door, Beezus edged close to her Slytherin as she struck up a worried face. He didn't hear what she just said? But she told him to talk to her and he did, so in a way, he responded to what she said.

And then he was apologizing. "Are you okay?" She asked, pulling on his ears...then clapping her palms gently against them. He hasn't gone completely deaf, has he?

Wow. That spell was definitely wicked...just like the Professor who taught it to the class.

Now that she’d felt like she had the charm down, Kendall set about simply inspecting the door while she waited for Aquila to decide that she was ready to try it out as well. She didn’t think she needed to watch the younger girl practice, after all, and while she acknowledged that Professor Knox had said that the doors led nowhere, they still were interesting to her in their very plainness. She almost wanted to ask if they could decorate their doors, but that question died off as she’d heard her partner’s first attempt at saying the incantation. “I don’t think that’s…,” she started to say, but by then it seemed like the pronunciation had gotten straightened out. Maybe she hadn’t been the only person who had to worry about pronouncing it all correctly. At least everything had seemed to work out, though, so she wasn’t going to worry. It wasn’t like the door would explode if they cast the charm wrong, or she was going to keep telling herself it wouldn’t. There hadn’t been any explosions with any of the other doors, anyway. Just a lot of loud noises quickly getting silenced.

She’d sent Aquila a grin at the shy request, too. “Sure,” she said simply, facing the door again. Time to actually see if she could handle this, especially knowing that her partner was looking to her as an example. That made her worry a tiny bit, but she wasn’t going to show it. “That means you’ll have to be the one to see if I cast it right,” she pointed out, as she got her wand ready to start tracing the doorframe again. It wouldn’t work if they didn’t test the charm. “Intrudus Concutio,” she said clearly, as she followed the frame with the tip of her wand. At least she didn’t mangle that, and upon a quick check, she noted that her hair didn’t reflect the focus either. It was a double relief, and she stepped back to let Aquila take her place. Now she just had to brace herself for the noise, hopefully.

Even though the screeching was giving Marigold a headache, she couldn't help but smile that her charm had worked!

"Okay," she said, "Finite!" She grinned at Kace. This was fun.

"I SAID.." Ethan started over the wailing of the alarm, still holding his hands over his ears. "Well done." He chuckled as Mo put an end to the charm. His ears would thank him. "Got it on your first try.. not bad." Hopefully Ethan would have as much luck.

Nodding to the younger boy, the 7th year eyed up the door and pointed his wand at it. "Intrudus Concutio," he commanded as he jabbed his wand at the bottom corner of the door, then traced all along the door frame. That was it, right? He stood back to look at the door appraisingly then turned back to his housemate. "Give it a try?"

She will have to open the door? “Okay.” The young one nodded eagerly, her blonde curls bouncing on her shoulders. She observed carefully how Kendall performed the spell, her finger down at her side moved along as Kendall’s wand made the outline on the door. Oh now she was done.

The young Claw looked tentatively up at the upperclass before saying “Cover your ears.” So confident she was it would work innit? Aquila set her hand on the doorknob and pushed it open—

WHOOOOOOOOOONG!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOONNGGG!!!

Aquila quickly pull the door shut, her face stretched in shock, ears ringing painfully from the noise “IT WORKS.” She said, not realizing then that she was talking a whole lot louder than she used to.



When her ears has stopped ringing she took out her wand and stepped beside where Kendall stood. She waited for the older Claw to ready the door, biting her upperlip in sheer concentration of what she had to do. When the door was ready Aquila stepped forward and traced the door’s outline with her wand, just as Kendall did “Intrudus Concutio” she uttered, as close to how she heard Kendall say it. She stepped back and looked at the upperclassman. “See if I got it to work?” she murmured shrugging timidly.

Kace was glad she stopped the spell. "Oh thanks and is it me or do you feel like your ears are numb or better yet still ringing." he said shaking his head to get rid of the ringing sound in his ear. He hoped he didn't look like a fool in front of Marigold for doing it.

"But i am glad we both got the hang of it, you know for being firsties and all. It is actually a relief that i am not the only first year in the room. Because usually when i cast a spell in the front of the older students, i get pressured more."

Alexia listened as charms lady did all of her explaining and such and waited and waited and waited some more before they were finally instructed to do things. It sounded easy enough, but Lexi knew that as soon as it got to the actual casting of the spell it wouldn't be that easy. It wasn't like she was horrible at charms or anything, but she had only taken one class of charms so far so that wasn't enough for her to feel good about her charms ability.

Then Mr. Head Boy said that they should practice the incantation at first before actually casting any spells. "Okidoki," Lexi said with a smile as she looked at the born. "in-TROOH-duss con-COH-she-oh...nope that's not right. in-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-doh...ughhhhhhh....in-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh," Lexi smiled. There it was she said it right. Now she just had to say it right another bunch of times. "in-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh...in-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh...in-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh...in-TROO-duss con-COO-shee-oh...I think I have it now." Next it got more complicated.

You know, one that calls the police and everything." Like the one his parents had on their house. They had caught burglars and everything with it before.

Mika snorted when Kaiden said to use an alarm system. “Because electronics don’t always work around magic – they’ll go all wonky” she nodded. “have you ever wondered why there are no computers in wizarding schools?” She asked smiling a bit at her friend.

He was adorably naïve yeah? When it came to the wizarding world. She smiled, “after class we should head to the library and look it up” she nodded. “And you know we’d actually have to call the Ministry of Magic’s Department of Magical Law Enforcement – Aurors instead of police” she nodded.

When he had finished casting the spell she gulped. “Alright heading in” she nodded and opened the door.

WEEEEEEEP- wooop –wooop - WEEEEEEEP - wooop –wooop - WEEEEEEEP

She winced, blinked, and put her hands on her ears. Eyes watering from the pain of it. “SHUT IT OFF” she practically yelled to him. “please” she couldn’t even hear herself over the din in her mind.
