Astronomy Lesson 3 :: Polaris & Sextants
|
Astronomy!!!! This was one of Lex's favourite classes because of the content and the Professor. That was a good combination and she felt the need to state that just about every time she stepped in here because of her ever increasing mood. Very carefully, she got the lint roller going all over her robe to make sure there wasn't an ounce of lint or kneazle hair She took a seat that allowed her to clearly look out at it as she waited for the lesson to begin. Pay no attention to the Gryffindor bouncing away in her seat. This was normal. |
Ella had done the necessary ice cream eating and lint rolling before class so she was in a splendid mood as she bounced into the classroom, a broad smile on her face. Astronomy was one of her favorite classes, okay? GRIN! "Hellooo Professor Airey!" Beamy!Beam. And it was pretty romantic up in here, y'know. Like the sun setting and the view would be the perfect spot for a romantic movie to take place. And Professor Airey was humming to himself so maybe he was thinking about one of his lady friends? Hmmm? Was it Professor Elwood or Professor Romanos? That was an important question and Ella was still confused about who the suit-man loved these days. And people thought teenagers had complicated love lives. SHEESH. Taking a seat in the middle, the blonde BEAMED and WAVED at Lex and got comfy. Oh and she had her notebook and textbook ready and stuff too cause class and learning and stuffs. Yup. |
Mackenzie entered the Astronomy classroom and was in awe. The skyline was beautifu, she now completely understood exactly why Professor Airey was in love with the subject. She knew she looked stupid at the way she was gawking and not moving to find a seat but she couldn't help it... The blonde was rooted to the spot staring out into the horizon. After a good fourty five second gaze, she came back to the classroom and realized she had not greeted the professor "Hello Professor Airey, BEAUTIFUL time for class" The small girl over emphasized the word but it was true. She made her way to an empty seat in a place where she could see the beautiful sky, she knew the veiw might not last all of class but she wasnted to see it while she could. "Hello Lex" Mack greeted her fellow Gryffindor and quidditch teammate. She hadn't seen much of Lex around lately, but with lessons and quidditch and everything else going on she didn't expect to see Lex all the time. But she hoped that as it warmed up that the pair would get to go look for the giant squid again like they did last spring... when they met. |
Astronomy time with the Flamsteed guy. Yup. Peyton was looking forward to it. The guy was was fun so his lessons weren't much of a bother. After doing the whole lint roller thing, Peyton stepped into the classroom with a bounce in her step. She was in THE GREATEST OF MOODS. Oh! There was Flamsteed! And he wasn't looking her way. She thought about yelling a hello and startling him like in those films. Then the person gets so surprised they fall of the hill of window they're standing by. Yes. "Heeello!" she greeted. Extra cheery and extra loud. "A pretty day, isn't it--" Wait. His shoes didn't match what he was wearing. Yes, Peyton has been getting |
Kaiden yawned. He really loved Professor Space Man's class, but when it was late, it made him super sleepy. Even when he had to climb a million stairs. Buuuutttt this class was always super fun. Bounding into classroom, he grinned as he skidded into a halt infront of one of the desks. "Good evening Professor Space Man!" |
And Astronomy. Was it really the last lesson already? Hmm... odd. Also odd were the sneakers Professor Airey was wearing. The normally fashionable professor was wearing BLACK SNEAKERS?! Was he feeling alright? Sky picked a seat near the back just in case of projectile vomiting, after the required lint rolling was done, of course. "Hello, Professor." Yep, it was usually a good idea to be nice to those who were ill. Mmm hmmmm. |
Astronomy. Mo checked his uniform, rolled his robes, and even made sure his hair was combed before he showed up for class. He wasn't trying to impress Flamsteed, since the man was now his mortal foe and trying to hog the love of Professor Pretty all for himself, but he wasn't going to give the man any reason to take away points. "Good day to you, Professor," Mo did dare to eye the man's shoes before taking a seat carefully located in the middle of the classroom. The light was good in here. Did the professor mind if Mo took out his camera and just sort of... set it on the corner of his desk in case a picture happened? |
Astronomy. Woo. And that wasn't sarcastic. Mostly. These classes were usually pretty fun, but they WERE still classes so...maybe there was a little bit of sarcasm. But not as much as there would be for a lot of other lessons. Mhm. Yay for fun lessons. "Hi, Professor," Penelope greeted him, even taking a moment to appreciate the sky. It was kinda pretty, yeah? She liked it. Then she moved to find her usual seat, the shoes Flamsteed was wearing going completely unnoticed. Really, why would she look at a professor's shoes or care what kind they were wearing? She sometimes barely cared about her own. |
Anya entered the Astronomy tower after a quick lint cleaning. She was dressed in her normal uniform, except, for her footwear. She was wearing trainers instead of her normal heels. Why? Because weirdly enough she checked the notice board. Professor!Man should be proud. Speaking of Professor man... "Hello Professor." she greeted. She then looked around for a seat. Spotting Mo, she decided to take a seat next to him. Why? Because it was Mo. But also because there was a good view of the sunset from here. "Your hair..." she said looking over at the Ravenclaw. It was ... too neat. Didn't Ravenclaws know that that was entirely unfashionable. Could she fix it? Pretty please. |
Astronomy. Almost night. Life was perfect. So you better not ruin it, Airey Flamsteed. Don't worry, there won't be any tears today. Lint rolling came first, though it was HIGHLY unnecessary since she was always clean and lint-free, but you never knoooow. There was a lot of dust going around, you know. Oh, hey, black sneakers. Lottie's eyebrow went up at that. Were they going jogging? "Good evening, Professoooor!" The most favorite person EVER! He is, but she didn't say that. "I trust you're doing excellently well, Sir. Like the sunset." BEAM. And YES, she interrupts singing, because he should sing with her, not alone. ANYWAY..., "Hiiii, Lex!" See? Not Alexa, but Lex, because they were back to how they were. Nothing had changed, though. And she took the seat beside her, as usual |
Mika had dashed up to the tower and glanced into the room. Taking the lint roller in hand she quickly running it up and down her arms, down her legs…everywhere even behind her knees. Well, the only place she didn’t dust off was her hair. Instead she had taken it out of its band, and quickly plaited it. Then ran the lint roller over her shoulders a second time for all of the hairs that could have fallen. One might have stayed, but that was because it was still somewhat attached to her head. Just a little bit though, not very. As she walked into the room she waved to Professor Flamsteed and stopped. ”Wh-where are your fancy shoes Professor?” she asked, she really wanted to ask if the Goblins had taken his shoes and left him with sneakers instead of fancy leather polished things…losing shoes almost seemed worse than losing your marbles. ”Hey…Lex, Mack…Kaid…Mo” her voice got quieter and quieter as she saw the people…yep maybe because she had heard what Kaiden had told Mo…and still hadn’t explained things. She needed to do that. Sometime soon – but not soon because soon would be too soon and she didn’t want to talk during class. Nope. Class was for class stuff and tuning out the awkward so she did the smart thing and sat next to Lexa and Mackenzie...well, next to Mackenzie. |
Astronomy! Tag quickly made his way over to the class and said Hello Professor Airey! How are you and Pebbles doing today? It was always nice to know that somebody wanted to know how you were doing in life. The little blonde boy went to go find a seat and well sat down. He liked this class. Of mostly because he liked Professor Airey. He was a fun guy and had great charisma so he kept Tag entertained and his classes were generally interesting and fun. |
Another Astronomy lesson! Jory wasted no time in heading to the class when it was scheduled to start. No doubt they'd be doing something fun today. "Hello, Professor,'' Jory said with a grin and flashing back to the dance. He tried not to burst out with laughter as he remembered the man laying on the floor in shock after Professor Elwood had kissed him. "Hope you're erm alright now.'' Big grin. With that, he hurried off to find a seat. |
Making sure he was lint free. Nigel was learning this important because who wants lint on your suits. Suits are very important. But Nigel was surprised to see Professor Flamsteed with sneakers on. They did not really match his suit. But Nigel did not have the heart to tell him. So a simple hello would do. "Hello, Professor Flamsteed" Nigel spotted Mo and Anya and went to sit behind them. Why is Flamsteed wearing sneakers. If he did not say. Nigel would have to ask. Too intriguing. |
Even though Caterina seemed to have a certain issue with being on time for anything else, she had - so far - made it on time to all of her lessons which was just yet another reason why this Moretti was winning. Oh yes. Flamsteed seemed to be preoccupied with the view and she'd thought about leaving him to it, but everyone else who had come in just ahead of her had sent a greeting, so she didn't feel bad interrupting his moment. "Hello Professor." And a charming smile for you as well. After she took her seat, she looked out towards the pretty sky and spotted a few familiar faces on her way (eyes on you, Branxton.) |
"Hi prof. Cool shoes." SNEAKERS. Yeah. Alice approved. Like usual, she didn't pause to roll the lint off of her robes, because she didn't need it and all. Clever enough to make sure she was presentable before leaving the dorms, see? Plus Aireyhead's lint roller was probably used for getting cat hair off his couch or something, and she didn't want any of that stuff on her because reasons. Incrimination reasons from Romanos, who was totally still suspicious about her hairless cat tails. Alice knew. Speaking of cats.. was that Cat? Her Cat? "Hi Caterina Ocarina. I'm gonna sit by YOU today." Lucky her. |
Nerida walked into the Astronomy classroom after the lint rolling because besides cats Professor Flamsteed She stopped when she saw him, black sneakers what happened to the normal pretty shoes.."Hello Professor. Umm nice shoes??Why aren't you wearing your normal pretty fancy shoes?" He should be wearing normal pretty fancy shoes not...Sneakers. Still looking at the shoes the blonde took a seat. |
Another lesson with Professor Weird. Heh. Please be another comedy show. Giggles were needed when school got busy, you know? Her uniform all neat and tidy, the Hufflepuff walked along the school, making her way to the Astronomy class where she entered quietly and only then noticed the beautiful sunset. Nature...gross at times, but at others beyond beautiful. This was one of the beyond beautifuls. In awe Renesmee stared for a few moments and then only continued walking so that she could greet the crazy Professor. "Evening, Professor." She gave him a nod then a giggle as she looked at his shoes. Trying to be hipster, wasn't he? This professor never failed to surprise her. BUT a seat. She needed one. With a pout taking place on her lips, she turned around and looked for the best place to plonk down for the lesson. |
WEEEE~ ASTRONOMYYYY~ Daichi skipped, yes skipped up the steps towards the Astronomy tower. A bright looking smile was visible on his face though he had bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep. But he had a good reason! His mission to make the world a BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY place with the help of ice cream was super IMPORTANT! His Prefect job? PFFFT! that came next, cause that wasn't as important~ "MOOOOORNING, Professor~!" He greeted the man, flashing another briiiight smile before he turned around. But instead of walking to a place he spun back around again, eyes wide and arms flailing. "WOAH! It's almost EVENING! why did i think it was morning?!" His tired looking eyes looked outside at the beautiful sun set and staaaaaaaaared. Not moving an inch. And did he see the man's new sneakers? Nope, he was too busy staring in to nothing. This place lacked ice cream, yo! |

Bounce bounce bounce bounce back to the front of the classroom in front of the blackboard. He ought to remind people about his class announcement since he was getting a lot of confused looks about his shoes. "We will wait another 10 minutes or so before beginning. I want to remind you all that you ought to be wearing or at least brought with you a pair of comfortable shoes. If you do not have any with you now then I suggest you hurry back to your common rooms to get them. No summoning, please. You might knock someone out while they are walking." Because flying shoes in the corridors just spelled DISASTER in all capital letters. |
"Thankssss Sir! It was a good match!" BEAM! Ella had her trainers on too so she was set. YUP. And she also had lots of energy right now. Airey was bouncing so could she bounce too? Only he hadn't instructed them to get up yet and she didn't want to break classroom rules or anything. Instead she'd just have to bounce in her seat. Bounce. Bounce. Ouch. That sort of hurt her knees. She'd need to stop that. |
Astronomy! Cassia took off from the common room and ran towards the tower. She was NOT late, ok? She was going to get their right on time. You know not early because she was searching for her textbook. She kinda forgot where she had put it but she remembered and stuffed it into her bag then to the tower she ran. Phew! She needed the workout, you know. The snake peered inside soundlessly making sure that the lesson hadn't started. Grinning that she wasn't late, she stepped in clutching her bag, then proceeded inside the classroom, "Good Day Professor!" She greeted smiling before looking around to choose a desk. Finding one, she settled and waited for the Lesson. Oh and she did wear comfy shoes. |
Astronomy. Cool class, yeah? Anyway, ariana walked into the class yawning cause she was tired you know, and totally wouldn't of minded if they went to |
Tobias was totally PSYCHED for this lesson. Anything where they'd been instructed to wear comfortable shoes was sure to be awesome, right? Right. His most comfortablest pair of shoes were a pair of black and white converse that he'd owned for like three years and so had definitely been broken in. They were kind of tatty and falling a part through age and Tobias had a bad feeling he'd be growing out of them soon (they were too big when he first got them) but they were able to deal with Tobias' exuberance and energy so they were perfect. "Hey Mr Professor!" Tobias beamed as he pretty much frolicked and bounced into the class. "Totally psyched for the lesson - comfy shoes always leads to good things, after all." BEAM. He was hopeful that the gummy worms he'd eaten before arriving were enough to provide the right amount of energy to last him through the class but not keep him hyper ALL night. Wow, the sky was super pretty tonight. Before he allowed himself to be distracted by that, Tobias went and sat by Ella and gave her a happy wave. HAIIIIII CAPTAIN! Then he fidgeted in his his seat, completely unable to keep still, and waited for the start of the lesson. |
