Entering the Astronomy classroom you see Professor Flamsteed standing dancing his own version of the moonwalk and humming some nonsensical tune. Perhaps he is doing all this to attempt to keep warm as there is a brisk December chill in the classroom? The ridiculously goofy grin on his face may imply otherwise. Hard to be so happy about the cold after all. The telescopes that are usually around the classroom for student use are now gone thanks to those greedy goblins, but they thankfully left your desks and chairs - which are still in Professor Flamsteed's preferred semi circle formation. There are no covered objects this time around, just the empty blackboard and a rather large rolled up piece of parchment leaning against it.
Come on in and have a seat - or join the professor in dancing. We are pretty sure he won't mind.

When Kat entered the classroom, the first thing she did was stare at the Professor for a few seconds. What was he... doing? Well, yes she knew he was dancing like the fun professor he was but honestly why was he dancing? Awkward. Oh well... she just had to find a seat and ignore the fact that their Astronomy professor was being a goof in front. Hmm.
"Hello professor," Kat greeted and gave the man a small smile before taking a seat. So... what were they going to learn today? No wait, don't answer that. They might learn how to dance like Professor Flamsteed so uh... no.

Oooooooooooooooh nice moves young Hufflepuff. "EXCELLENT!" he applauded. Always nice to see a fellow enthusiast. "Thank you for that, Mr. Lecium."
Kace was happy the professor liked his dance moves. "Thank you professor." and then he gave him a high five. He was happy to show off his talents. "I think you need some hip-hop or upbeat music in here." he suggested. "Then i could dance a little better." he joked around with him. Then he went back and took his seat. He felt quite toasty underneath his cloak which is what he needed.
He had his notebook out and quill ready to take his notes.

"Professor F, whatever are you doing??" The question came as soon as Elodie reached the classroom, after the mission of the tower came into her life. Her eyes squinted at the man, and she giggled. What a silly one.
"Hi, by the way." If he hadn't gathered that the question was an alternate version of that. La, la. Els gave him a wave (or more like, a finger wiggle, a giggle at how her fingers now resembled worms and a beam), and took a seat.
Professor F needed to teach Coulson to dance like that.
Just sayin'. Fave teacher to fave person in the universe.
Sophie made her way up to the Astronomy tower and felt the classroom rather empty and spacious as she entered. Goblins... le sigh.
"Hello, professor!" She greeted the older man nonetheless, walking over to take a random seat. She liked sitting randomly and in a different place every lesson just because.
The Hufflepuff kicked her legs and looked around as she waited for class to begin.

Penelope, honestly, wasn't all that surprised to enter the classroom and find Professor Flamsteed doing some kinda dancing thing. It seemed pretty normal for him. In a good way.
"Hi, Professor," she greeted him with a smile before heading to a seat. Now to wait for the lesson to start. Or...was the dancing gonna be part of the lesson? Hm. Hopefully they'd find out soon.

Anya lint rolled her elbow. Just her elbow. She just didn't feel like doing anything else. Not that she was in a bad mood, she was actually in a fantastic mood, she just didn't like lint rollers.
"Hello Professor." she greeted. She tilted her head to the side and watched him. "You should try the robot." she suggested. Why? Because it was easier. And the Professor... looked hilarious. She grinned happily as she found a seat. Yup. It totally masked the cold and empty room.
Mean goblins stealing the toys and pushing her down.

Jake was busy taking a hair off his robes that the lint roller had missed as he walked into the room. So he didn't see Flamsteed dancing until he was right in front of the professor.
"Whoa, hey," he said, clearly surprised. What... was the man doing, exactly? The Gryffindor paused for a moment to watch while he tried to figure out what was going on. Glancing around the room briefly then back at Flamsteed, Jake grinned slowly. "You look like you need some music. Maybe we can jam later." Did professors jam? And could you jam on a piano? Because that was the only instrument Jake could play. Questions, questions...
Until they were answered, though, Jake would focus on Astronomy. He took a seat next to Anya and leaned back with his arm on the back of her chair. Hey, girlfriend.

And while he was there, Michael figured he might as well doing his hair as well. He was sure that there was probably some grass and leaves in it. One he was finished lint rolling himself, he turned to see that the Professor was dancing and a grin split across his face.
"Yo Professor." The first year made his way over to the man. "You excited about Gryffindor being in the lead too." Not that earning points was high on his priority on his list, but it felt pretty good to see the Lions in first place. So he did a happy little shuffle.
Airey was in SUCH a chipper mood that he didn't even seem to mind that the first year appeared as though he had been tromping around in the mud in the Forbidden Forest all afternoon before coming to his lesson. Which is why there was still a big grin on his face as he greeted the boy. "Evening, Mr. Toussaint." Ah yes. House points. Rabid little things when it came to those. "Just glad that my extensive rock collection could be of service."
Because all the rest of the houses would be getting their points back too. Sadly. Oh well.

She was warm in every part of her body except her nose, ears, fingers and toes - not feeling them anyway it did not make a idfference yet she had to spend time fumbling with the delinter as her fingers were too numb. On days like these she wished she had extra fat reserves - for insulation. She wanted to join in the dance yet had to sit down as her feet were hurting her - trying to fit feet encased with 3 pairs of socks in a pair of shoes intended for Sarah's narrow feet was a painful experience.
Eeeeeeer. Come again? He simply smiled at the Gryffindor as she entered and took her seat. "Not to worry, Miss Edwards. There is no frost in this heart!" Even if there seemed to be some inching on the window panes. Hmmm. Odd.

"Hi, Professor." He said, only because that was what a Slytherin would do, as Lafay would say. He had to get off that list. Theo wondered if they'd be doing more cleaning spells today, because he did actually enjoy the hoovering one.
"Look alive, Mr. Kinsley!" Airey's voice somewhat boomed as the young man entered. He looked better this time, which hopefully meant he was sleeping better. Airey really REALLY did not want to go see Hecate about anything. Woman was terrifying and definitely a buzz kill.

So..what were they learning today without any equipment? Yes, Daichi had seen the lack of telescopes and whatnot in the room.
"Mr. Katharos, nice to see you again," the man smiled. Hopefully the boy was a little less lost with what to do with his life post Hogwarts. Poor boy had been rather distressed when he had seen him in his office at the beginning of the term.

Smirk. Just for Miss Phillips' benefit he did the robot again in front of her. "Excellent suggestion, Miss Phillips." Domo arigatou, Mr. Roboto!
Moonwalking and roboting at the same time back towards the middle, he checked his sundial once more. Yes, now they should really get started. Stars were beginning to align nicely and the sky was becoming speckled with their beauty. He could really just stare at those stars all night while eating some ice cream. Had the other night, in fact.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALRIGHT! Let's begin!" he said while clapping his hands together twice to make sure he had everyone's attention. "First, I want to thank you all for doing such diligent work on your homework assignment. You all made stellar little pseudo black holes and the castle looks so much nicer because of it. Feel free to come and
borrow the muggle vacuums anytime you wish for more practice with the charms or simply to help tidy up." No complaints here. He fully
endorsed the notion.
But now on to the lesson. "Last lesson we discussed black holes - one of the possibilities of the end of a star's life," he said for review. "Many of you also brought up how black holes could potentially serve a greater purpose for humans as a means of time travel, which MAY be something in our future." The far faaaaaaaaar distant future. "Practical use of celestial bodies is something that humans, muggle and wizarding alike, have done seemingly since the beginning of time. I want you all to image, for a moment, that you are lost in the Forbidden Forest at night...without your wand..." Just humor him for a second here kids, alright? "How would you try to find your way out?"

Minerva looked up at the greeting. She didn't mean to, but she felt herself almost glaring towards him. Nice to see her.. hmm had he not got to hear from his fellow staff member what went down. She knew she shouldn't be angry at professors, she should be nice and respect them, but it was hard when someone tells you, you could be expelled and it was all a joke.
"Excuse me Professor, but I have to know. Do you have an ID to be allowed to dance during class? I think you might need one and not a fake one..." Yes she couldn't help herself, she had to say it and then she looked down knowing she should have just kept her mouth shut.
She sat with her head down the remainder of the wait and lifted her eyes to look at him only when he began class. It wasn't that she didn't like Professor Flamsteed, honestly she had grown to like and respect him after their meeting, but right now she was just upset. No one.. no one had ever come close to saying words like expulsion around her and the fake of being accused of something she had never done, when she never did anything to get in trouble, well at least not on purpose. Sighing she listened and then looked at him questioning at his first question. Why would anyone even be there without their wand. That was just mad.
Putting her hand up, "Professor, I guess at first I would have to try to get my direction, like which way am I facing North, South that kind of stuff. Couldn't you figure that out by the place of the north star?" She had heard that before, whether it was true or not she wasn't sure. "Once I found that, I could figure out which direction I needed to travel to get back towards the castle." Well if the north star theory was correct it seemed like a good answer to her.

Airey was funny, did he know? He should have his own program or something. So You Think You Can Dance and Teach. Seemed legit to Ella.
And then there was talk of vacuuming and black holes. She'd quite enjoyed the assignment, not so much for the cleaning but for the helping the school be nice again aspect. That was a nice gesture and Ella approved of nice gestures. Ice cream sundaes. She approved of those too, y'know. They should have a class where the homework was to make and eat those. Mmm.
...
Imagine you were lost in the forbidden forest at night? NO THANK YOU. Ella shuddered a little and looked down at her desk for reasons. She'd had nightmares about that, y'know. She was aware of things she could do to help navigate her way out, though. "Professor, locating the North Star could help," She offered quietly, shrugging her shoulders a bit. Could they be done imagining now?
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
Oh, the lesson was starting? Guess she'd have to take her seat, huh? Lex skipped to the first available seat she could find and hummed only just a bit as she listened to the Professor speak. They were still on black holes!!! Well not really, more like a refresher course but they were still being mentioned!! These talks always reminded her of Jeffery...good 'ole Jeffery.
Her legs swung idly and she might have been shifting a bit restlessly in her seat but she couldn't help it, at the moment she had a lot of energy to burn. Seemed like that was the case most times since lately. No matter, energy was needed for most things.
Alexa took a moment to ponder the scenario. COOOOOL!
Her hand shot into the air. "The correct and responsible thing to do would be to first make sure that there's nothing potentially flesh-eating anywhere around then you use the stars to tell you the directions. I believe a lot of people used to depend on the stars to lead them places...that being said--why would you wanna leave the forest once you got there? I mean it really would depend. Is it after exploring and having a near-death experience or the moment you get lost? Personally I wouldn't be in such a rush to leave and well my kneazle's real good at directions. I wouldn't be in the forest without him. He'd lead me back once I'm done exploring...could also bribe or befriend--really it depends on the situation--a centaur to lead you back."
But that was just her.

But.... West would never be in the Forbidden Forest, lost, without his wand. Ever. To literal minded to go on a flight of fancy about it, West just stared at Flamsteed. Obviously you'd use the constellations to find your way, that was what he was getting at right? But West just struggled with the notion of being lost without his wand in a place that was FORBIDDEN. Seriously.
Struggle. What if it was someone else who was lost and wandless. Someone not him because it was just so never going to happen ever. He had an impeccable sense of direction for one thing.
Finally he managed to put his hand up. "Depends on how clear the sky is for whoever was lost. Not me. But someone else."

Stuck in the Forbidden Forest at night? Jake side-glanced at Anya. Really, professor? Was it necessary to use that situation?
Taking his eyes away from the girl next to him, Jake raised his free arm the wasn't on the chair. "If the moon was full... or almost full... it could give you enough light to see where you're going." Unless you were in a really dense part and the moon couldn't shine through the trees... but Airey didn't specify that so Jake figured his answer could work.
Nigel had no idea why he would be in the Forbidden Forrest alone without his wand. It was just to impossible to believe. But it was a question and Nigel did have an answer. It might be an improbable answers. But whatever. He knew everyone else would say the north star. But Nigel was not sure if Hogwarts was located to the north.
"Well, If a centaur happened to be near. You could ask it how to get out of the Forrest and if the centaur is in a nice mood. It might help you."
Nigel did like playing hypothetical games. They were pretty fun.

Awww man no hip-hop music for the class. Ah well some other time. Then Kace heard the professor start the lesson. He sat there being alert. He remembered they learned about the black holes and what not.
Then he heard him ask an interesting question. How would you find your way back if you didn't have your wand in the Forbidden Forest. Well luckily for Kace he had been lost in the Kansas woods before. All he did was remember how he got there. He liked the mention of Ella's idea of the North Star. How would Kace find his way back. He raised his hand with his idea.
"Professor what i would do is i would just listen to the sounds of nature first. To see if there are intruders or creatures with me. Then i would look around and find my way using the north star like Ella and Minnie mentioned. Then i know which direction i am going and i won't be hopelessly lost." That was all he would do but he wondered what other student's answers would be.

Imagine you were lost in the forbidden forest at night? NO THANK YOU. Nerida would never be caught dead in the Forbidden Forest and not just because it was forbidden but because that place was scary and freaky!! Ella shuddered a little and looked down at her desk for reasons. She was aware of things she could do to help navigate her way out, though. Though honestly she would never think of those things if she heard a wolf howl or other scary noises. "Professor, locating the North Star or a constellation could help...Though if were being truthful I would run like heck!!" She would not stop and stare up at the sky looking at the stars!

Lost in the Forbidden Forest? Was Flamsteed off his crackers? Mo wasn't dumb enough to wander around in the Forest during the day, so he certainly wasn't going to head in there at night. Without his wand. Alone. Nope.
"Honestly, Professor, I'd probably hug a tree until someone came to find me. That's what you're supposed to do when you get lost in the woods. You hug a tree and don't move, because while you're moving, your rescuers are moving, and you'll miss each other and stay lost. So even if I recognized a familiar constellation and knew it's position based on the time of year and hour of the day and could tell the direction from that, I would still stay put. But I'd be really brave and manly about it." FYI.
Blinkblinkblink. She looked back to Professor Flamsteed as he was speaking.
Mika blinked a few times – she did send a quick look to West when he brought up how clear the night sky was. That was a really smart idea. Really, it was. In fact she mainly looked his way because she was a little annoyed that she hadn’t thought up the idea herself. She did giggle a bit when she noticed the Professor had been doing the robot and moonwalking in the front of the class. This was EPIC right. Too bad she didn’t have a camera yeah? and a glance at a certain someone when cameras came into mind…
Blink…she turned her attention to the individual speakers about the classroom, her eyes lingering on certain people longer than some of the other people. Raising her hand, “You could look and check which side of the trees the moss grows on, because generally that is on the north when you are north of the equator. Then with that you know which general stars to look for in the sky – say the north star would be a great star to look out for depending – as West said” and a nod to him, “you’ll only be able to see it depending on how clear the sky is.” She smiled, and nodded and eyed a certain person again. "I don't want to go into the forest...nope, not at all" she did mutter to herself afterwards. What? She wasn't a LETS-GO-POKE-IT-WTH-A-STICK gryffindor... she was a Claw and all previous knowledge of that forest made her feel a little nervous for the class. Then it hit her. "Actually I'd try and find a Centaur and ask it for help, because they are smart...and they like Astronomy maybe say I'm in an Astronomy class?"
Yeah? Forests fine....forbidden forests. Nope. Never. Nada. Not unless she was working with the best and smartest person in class.

Anya bit her lip and looked down. Lost in the forest. Lovely. She cast a sideways glance at Ella. And then she avoided eye contact with Jake. They'd talk later, she had a feeling.
She closer her eyes for a few seconds before raising her hand. "Stars." she suggested. "Or moss. Or depending on how far you're in, you might be able to just see the castle." True story.
Or... "Build a fire. And then bam, forest gone. You can escape pretty easily at that point."

Erm, class started, then? Lottie took so long to pick a seat that it wasn't until now that she was taking out her notes and whatever you needed for Astronomy....when the Professor asked the most interesting of questions.
Well, there are many variables, if there's a clear sky and you know how to be guided by the stars...then it's your lucky day! But first you must be lost, and that wasn't about to happen to Lotus Wisteria. In fact, they did not get lost when they entered the forbidden forest last term. And she was the one guiding them in.
Also, if there's no clear sky, then you need to work a bit harder to find your way out, especially if there's a ZERO-stars scenario.
Why, of course, Lottie didn't even think of centaurs, like Lex had, she thought of someone else, and we're not talking Ents, Mo,"If you happened to be lost at the Forbidden Forest, without a wand, at night, then there's nothing to worry about, the Groundskeeper will FIND you and take away the pygmy puffs he can find while on his way out." Oh, she was being serious, hence why her hand had been raised, "It has happened before." Just sayiiiing. "Not the lost part, because we weren't lost." THAT needed to be clarified.

....."Um, no thank you sir..." She shook her head slightly and grinned at the man at his suggestion. It was true that her and Nessie had been going over their dance lessons more frequently now but they haven't done moonwalking yet so really, she didn't want to to embarrass herself like Professor Flamsteed so she she'll just sit there and rub her hands together.
And class was starting. Mhmmkay.
Beezus shifted on her seat and lent her two ears to the man. Celestial! Celestial, celestial. She liked that word. And they were discussing about it. And yes, she tried imagining the scenario. Lost in the Forbidden Forest at night....wandless......EH? Who, in their right mind, would enter the Forbidden Forest without a wand? That would be just plain stupid. But let's give the Professor a chance, shall we? Let's see.....perhaps.......she would send brain waves to Dylan so he'd come save her.
Pfft. She, herself, snorted at the thought.
Everyone else was talking about the North Star. Did they even know how to locate the north star? It wasn't as if that start had label on it that says it's 'North'. So, what would a Beezus Castell do? She raised her hand. She was probably going to sound like Jonathan Kim on this one. "Professor, it's called the Forbidden Forest for a reason. It's forbidden. So....I simply won't venture there.

Dylan had, of course, been there the whole time...and it had been on purpose that he'd not said anything. The Slytherin was still put off by the mini-performance Professor Flamsteed had given in the Observatory. He didn't like to be threatened. No matter if it was an act or not. Yes, the Headmistress was gorgeous and he didn't mind chances to look at her...but under pretenses of getting in trouble, Dylan wasn't down. He so rarely got in trouble...The thought of started NOW...during his last year...was kinda lame.
Anyway...hoping to put the regretful situation behind them, he quietly observed the scene...Everyone seemed to be in good spirits, including the Professor. That was lovely and stuff.
...and then came the talk about Time travel...and more about black holes. The Captain leaned forward in his seat, attentive to any new information that might be presented...but it had been review material...and Dylan was quickly losing interest. That was...until the Forbidden Forest was brought up...and they were being asked to consider a situation surrounding being lost in it...without their wand. His eyes immediately searched out certain people....for reasons.
Ahem.
"I think...it'd depend on how deep into the Forest I am. I know that the trees and foliage get more dense the further in you are. So, there'd be no way to map the stars to find your way out." He knew about people using stars like compasses. Sailors did that sometimes..."That's something interesting to think about."
...Not that Dylan would EVER be without his wand. He'd be the first to admit that he'd be completely lost without it.
"....I'm assuming that's the answer you were looking for, though. Using the stars?" He asked, hopeful.

Yes, it was rough luck about the Gobstones match, but she hoped they'd do better next time, so she just nodded and made a "whaddyagonnado" face at him when he mentioned it.
She blinked a few times at this question. Well obviously he wants us to mention the North Star or following a set of stars somehow but WHY would you be out there without a wand, or at all really, anyway? The situation seemed highly unlikely, but she raised her hand anyway. "Well I know you could use the North Star like some have said, Professor, but if you're um...like me, and don't really know which direction the castle would be from North...well that wouldn't help much anyway." Not with her sense of direction at least. "So maybe if you were in the Forbidden Forest without a wand, you'd be a bit mental anyway and would just feel comfortable climbing a tree and staying the night out there," she said with a teasing little crinkle near her eyes. She hoped Airey was feeling receptive to jokes today, no matter how unfunny, because she was feeling chatty and chipper, which brought out her cheekier side. Always just in good fun though.
The young girl sat in her seat and smiled proudly to what the professor was telling, of course she had done her homework good, she was a Slytherin and she was sure that all her housemates were good in EVERYTHING they wanted. So, she only could not to the professor with a satisfied grin on her lips. And, professor Flamsteed had been right about something else besides her homework, the castle was indeed a little cleaner after the lesson and THAT was something she liked, clean and tidy, that was what she wanted!
The second year Slytherin stared at the professor and tried to think of a way to answer him and she closed her eyes, she imagined she was in the forbidden forest and without her wand, just as professor Flamsteed wanted and… She realized that she had TOTALLY NO IDEA what she could do to find her way out! She also was already afraid of the thought to be there, with all those large spiders, the dirt, and maybe some other dangerous AND scary animals she DIDN’T liked! She thought that screaming for help would be the best, or just walk straight in one direction, and maybe she would walk the right way?
The young girl opened her eyes and stared at the professor, she knew that she would be lost there… But what had that to do with the lesson? The young girl raised her hand and spoke hesitating, not liking the thought to tell the class that she was not good in something. “I think that I would be lost and that I would be in danger there without my wand.” The young girl paused for a few seconds and asked a question. “But what has this question to do with the lesson?”
