3 - It's a Circus in Here The classroom has been arranged with seats lined off to accommodate spectators, while there is a large table at the front. This is where you'll place your tent to give on lookers a show. To the side desk and chairs are arranged for students to wait their turn. Also there is no need to worry as transfiguration students will not have to pay to enter but professors and any other outsiders will have to. The classroom lights will be dimmed but the spotlight will be on YOU once you take your place. So give them a show that will be worth their 1 galleon 6 sickles. ooc: Students are required to make minimum 5 posts. You do not have to wait for one Rper to finish before posting your charrie starting their show. Just pretend it is your turn and go. As usual points will be given based on the amount of post but more points will be given based on creativity so don't hold back...but don't go getting crazy now. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. |
Oh boy! Oh Boy! Oh boy!!!! The circus! They were gonna have a circus!!! Eeeep! Lex could hardly contain her enthusiasm as she bounced into the classroom with her rock and her gargoyle both safely locked away in her box. She'd brought her other stuff too, mhm, in case the stage didn't have everything she would need. Of course the fact that others coming to watch had to pay amused her. For the whole term she'd been paying for everything, surely they could fork over a galleon and some. They actually had jobs and got steady income...granted her father was her steady income but it was different; don't question it. Lex sat and waited for the others to get there and for the Professor to make her big starting announcment. This routine, she'd been working on for a while. It almost made her nervous knowing she'd get to show it off to others but at the same time she was READY!!! How soon would they be starting? |
Bryce was bouncing on his heels as if he were a young kid again, trying to fish out the coins from his pockets while holding Mags by his side. The library event and other charities for the school were nice and all, but this was a CIRCUS! Totally up his alley in interests! Giving an 'AHA' moment when he found the coins, he grinned down at his one year old daughter, poking her tummy before paying the toll to get in. Now to find the best seats in the house! Or erm...classroom. |
Oh. Right. Ethan had nearly forgotten about that circus thing they were supposed to be doing with their gargoyles until nearly the last minute and hadn't been practicing much at all. Far too much else on his mind, to be honest. But he had a clue of what he'd be doing today as he had done his previous homework and threw a sort-of routine together at the last minute when he saw the notice and was reminded of today's show. Carrying his box into the room, Ethan glanced down into it as he entered, making sure he hadn't forgotten anything. His gargoyle, Rockie, dressed to the nines in his little transfigured vest, sat motionlessly inside, along with his charmed and transfigured tent and a few other supplies he needed for the performance. "Hello," he nodded to Alexa as he passed the young Lioness and he took a seat at the side to await his turn, or.. He threw a glance towards the front of the room looking for Bellaire, not finding her. She was going to make some sort of announcement, right? Or at least give them instructions? He set the box down of the floor in front of him and glanced down at the lifeless statue once again, hoping to memorize the routine he threw together.. |
Circus day! Circus day! BEAM! Ella was excited and she had her box filled with her gargoyle and her rock and all her circusy things and meep! She'd gotten a rock and so she'd have a dragon in her circus and she was EXCITED about this, okay? GRIN! She'd also had some pre-show ice cream so she was feeling really energetic and happy and ice cream always made everything better, didn't it? The blonde entered the room and eyed the dude and ickle she didn't know and she smiled at them cause awwww, they'd come to watch! That was nice of them to show up! She then made her way over to where Lex and Ethan were waiting and whispered, "Hey, you two!" GRIN! |
Bouncing into the room, Asher suddenly halted at the sight. "Oh, no" he said as he suddenly remembered he had forgotten everything about their last lesson. Realizing he as in trouble, Asher quickly made his way towards the back of the room and frantically pulled out his notes. |
CIRCUS DAY! CIRCUS DAY! CIRCUS DAY! Kace was waiting for this day to come. He wanted to see the gargoyles preform and do their tricks. Except....he forgot what he had to do...well spell wise for this lesson. He went to the back to look at notes. He noticed he wasn't the only one which made him feel better. I mean he had a lot to learn this year so it was quite normal. Kace saw Lexa sitting up at the front, he saw Ella and Belle's friend....Ethan? Yup that was him! He waved and smiled to all of them. "Hey guys!" He felt tiny compared to them but he might grow one day. He sat near the back of the class to see what the others would do first and then volunteer later on. |
The day was here! Finally! Jory was excited, not to mention a tiny bit nervous. He did not want to screw up. Because that would be embarrassing. And he hated being embarrassed. He had gotten a rock dragon and so the Puffer was pretty hyped up. For now at least. "Heya, guys!'' he called cheerfully to the others already assembled in the classroom. |
Circus day already! Marigold was sooooooooooo nervous. She at least had a bowl of ice cream to try and hype herself up, but now she started to be very anxious. She would watch first, then do her circus. |
Awesome, the Circus was here at last! It had been a while since Wade last worked on his gargoyle's routine. Needless to say, once he saw the notice he had to do some last minute practices beforehand. After entering inside, Wade with his box took a seat nearby everyone else. From the look on his face as his brows furrowed, he was replaying the routine he had in mind. Now waiting for everything to begin. |
Not that Alice hadn't been practicing.. ... well, she hadn't. But it wouldn't be that hard to get the hang of Piertotum Locomotor again. Probably. The fifth year entered the classroom with her box and her gargoyle and her ROCK- she'd gotten a ROCK, wasn't that cool? Even though you could get rocks just about anywhere, it was still special, since she was sure Bellaire would rather give her a muzzle than a rock- and her other circusy things. Alice also wondered if they'd be getting some of the profit from this. Like yeah, poor school and all, but getting into the common rooms was money too, okay? And Oakey was going to go poor soon. She made her way over to Ella and the others and waited for further instructions. |
Snags u cuz Annabelle wants to hang out with daddy and Uncle Bryce :) Quote:
After paying for him and his three year old daughter to get in he looked around for a really good seat. He wanted to make sure Annabelle seen everything. "How about those seats over there," he said nodding to the row of seats right up front. |
Heeeere we gooooooo!!!!! Eliza cheered in her mind as she entered the She didn't even care that there were so many seats for onlookers, or that she'd be on a stage with bright lights, or that if she messed up everyone and their mother's uncle would see. Nope. Because it was going to be so much FUN and that was all that mattered. She waved excitedly to all of her friends and everyone else in the room, and wondered when they could reveal their little gargoyle friends. It had been a while since she'd hung out with Goylie, so any time now would be cool for them. They had chatting and performing to do, yesiree-Bob they sure did. Now where was Bellaire? |
The little Crup bounced into the room first, making his presence known with his high-pitched barking. Shortly, and before the overly excited Feo started tugging on people's pants, Botros walked in with his cane proceeding his legs after he had paid for two. He had a relaxed, happy smile on his face (his usual demeanor) and made sure to scoop the little ball of excitement in his arms as he squeezed himself between the seats, choosing a random seat where his Crup couldn't jump up on the front and disrupt the show. But who knows, really. Spending time with the kids the little devil seemed to develop some skills his owner was completely oblivious to. hehe |
Oh Merlin's beard, he was late. Well, not late late, but LATER THAN HE SHOULD BE. Theo rushed in where he headed straight for the front, and oooooh, it was the circus day. How exciting. But also kinda nerve wracking. He wasn't a particular fan of being literally in the limelight. Not counting Quidditch, of course. There was already tons of people here, and his eyes travelled to Professor Botros and his DOG. Theo didn't like dogs, or cats, or any animal that had fur really. So this would be fun. SIGH. Where was Professor Bellaire? Where was everyone? The first student he could see was Alice..... but before he had to go and stand by her, he found Ella instead. |
Minerva had walked Stepping into the room she looked around it, it was dark all except the light. Hmm that was making her feel nervous. A spot light just for her and the gargoyle. Wow her heart raced a bit with that and she gripped Grumpy in her hand. "You can do this, don't be stubborn" She said to the stoned figure. So... She rocked on her heels.. who was going first... Minerva just stayed in the corner for now. She wanted to watch and observe before taking her turn, plus the corner had become a safe little place away from the clowns she would just stay in until she was told it was her turn. Yes that sounded better, someone would tell her it was her turn. |
She wasn't late. And she didn't really come early. But she didn't know what exactly to bring so it took her time until she filled her bag. With like everything she had! No one knows what she might need. No really, doesn't hurt to think ahead. She half-jogged half-ran until she made it to the classroom. Peeking inside she let out a sigh of relief that she wasn't late. Nothing seemed to be happening so she figured so. The snake entered and took in the surroundings. A couple of people she didn't recognize. And her colleagues. Nods and smiles to those who looked. OH. Professor Botros and his dog too. She passed the man and petted the dog's head. Before her got too attached she went further, chose a seat and slid into it. |
A CIRCUSY THING?! Cooper could hardly contain his excitement! His eyes were wide and hopeful and he grinned from ear to ear, this was going to be B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T! Paying his entrance fee, Cooper trotted into the classroom, adjusted his blue and yellow checkered tie and found himself a seat. Though he had his arms and legs crossed, one of his legs was a tell tale sign of how excited he was, bouncing rapidly on the spot. Gidddddyyyyyy-UP! He wanted to see the show now! He was here and ready! |
A CIRCUS? Who didn't like a circus?! Well... Ivy didn't. Until NOW. As of a couple weeks ago, she liked EVERYTHING, though (especially ice cream), so it really wasn't a surprise. The Charms professor pulled out her coin purse and happily paid the entrance fee before scuttling inside. Then she took a seat, crossed one leg over the other and waited for the show to begin! |
Circus... Annabeth swept into the circus a little annoyed. She didn't like circus... especially when she was supposed to be the clown. Then it was truth? The students would transfigurate things to help Hogwarts to get some money??? What a nightmare! She snorted and her gaze swept the place looking for an empty place to sit. She took a seat near to older students, they were good at Transfiguration and might call attention to themselves, the teacher wouldn't notice she was there, she was an insignificant first year student. |
One galleons and six sickles for this? A circus show, of animated gargoyles? This was ridiculousness. And yet Erik was in attendance, his fee paid as well. He stole in along the wall, found a spot to lean against, and folded his arms. Well. He was here. Doing his duty as a Governor. Get on with it, Hogwatians. |
Starting! Sophia was busy in the corner setting up the refreshment area when the students started walking in. The refreshment was made specially by her personal elf with ingredients she had bought so of course they had to pay for what they wanted. The good news was everything on sale was 8 sickles flat. They could all afford that couldn't they? When people started arriving Sophia moved to the head of the class to address her students and the audience. "Welcome to our transfiguration class circus!." She paused for applause, because people should be polite and clap for her students. "My students have been working very hard leaning new spells and dedicating a lot of time into making this day an enjoyable one for you." Well she hoped they had been working hard. "First an foremost this is a lesson of sorts. Most of the spells that the students will be using were taught this term. Secondly this is a charity event so all proceeds will go directly to Hogwarts so don't be shy about spending." They could clap at that too if they wanted. "Do relax and enjoy the rest of the show. Student one you're up!" |
Laura looked around, she was scared now there were a lot of Professor around and she was scared that she would make mistakes, she really wanted to have some fun but well the Professor were all watching and well if they didn't like the show they wouldn't throw tomato's or things like that at her would she. |
Sarah held Greg on her lap... she was not ready to go yet. She wanted to wait... She was not really prepared as she was meant to be. She had gotten so busy in the past few days that she forgotten about the routine. So now she would go with the flow, get a feel for te audience and manly just do whatever her mood was. She even got a rock! That was so awesome she would do the dragon thing. She had been to a bird show before, yet now she would have more control over the bird. Which was good as she never had things to bribe it with. She hoped they would like her tent. Now, she had to wait. She was excited to be one stage, in the spotlight again. She was in all the preformances in her muggle school... it was a pity Hogwarts never had it. She looked at Greg. They would wait their turn and try to formulate and act |
Post 1 Well all the students were standing around when Bellaire stood an gave her speech. She charged people to see this When Bellaire called for the first student Minerva stood in her corner maybe hidden so she wouldn't have to go. Maybe she could just watch, but as it seemed no one else was going she took a deep breath and made her way to the table. Setting down her cute little orange circus arena that they had made in their previous class. Looking out she couldn't see anything because of the light. Well at least that was a plus. No faces to get nervous about.. "Hello everyone." She smiled at the darkness knowing people were watching. "I'm Minerva and this is Grumpy the gargoyle and he is going to put on a little show for you." Sitting him in the center of her circus area she picked up the tiny little pieces she was using for his joggling and set them in front of him. "I've placed in front of him little bars that I had made, he will now juggle for." Taking another deep breath she pulled her wand, doing the movement over grumpy "Piertotum Locomotor" The Gargoyle sprang to live and didn't seem to happy about the hair falling on his head. "Grumpy Juggle.. please" The Gargoyle looked at her for a few moments to the point Min figured he wasn't going to do anything. Of course he would be mean to her today in front of people, but then he looked down and picked up the little pieces. As he started to juggle, Minerva smiled at the audience and pointed. "The awesome Grumpy everyone." Looking back to Grumpy she tried to give him a smile, whether or not the statue could know. "Grumpy walk while juggling." Without missing a beat the Gargoyle began to walk as he juggled. She watched as he juggled and walked feeling so proud of him that she didn't noticed how close to the end of the table he was getting until he started slipping. Hurrying and catching him in her hands she pointed her wand. "Finite" Setting him back in the center of the circus she looked out to the crowd. "He's fine everyone.. Just part of the act.." Blushing a bit she hoped they bought that last part. |
