#2 - Let's Make Syrup! Hecate had the vial of ice cream in her hands and she was twisting it between her fingers. She opened it, smelled it and then corked it again... She was waiting for the kids to file in... They needed to start this potion soon... very soon. ooc: This class will be faster than the usual classes. It will stay open for at least 72 hours (probably more.) Also thanks to Nixy! and AuroraQuinn for taking the picture of the Potions Classroom for me, and to Anna Banana for making it into a pretty graphic! |
POTIONS! Normally Ella wouldn't have been to jazzed about this because Professor Lafay terrified her in the way that some of the eviler Disney Characters did. She had that whole fabulous but kind of evil thing going on and it worked for her. It definitely did. The badger wasn't feeling that terrified today, though. NOPE. She'd had some ice cream before class and she was feeling very energetic and happy and positively excited for class! BEAM! "Hello, Professor Lafay!" The blonde greeted extremely cheerfully, giving her a polite nod. She then wandered over towards the middle of the room and took out her notes and a quill. |
Alexa made her way to the potions classroom with a bowl of ice-cream lodged in her hands. This was an exceptionally nice sundae if she did say so herself and she couldn't bring herself to put it down just because she had a class. As she got to the door she froze and gobbled the rest, banished the bowl then hopped inside. "Hello Professor--heeeeeeeeeey, you know, if you look at that in the right light it kinda looks like ice-cream!! Have you noticed Professor?? I have!! Just look, all creamy--is it ice-cream? Are we having ice-cream? Do you think we could take a trip down to the kitchen for some when the class is almost over??" Lex hopped over to her seat bouncing from the ice-cream she'd just eaten as well as the promise of mooooore. "Will we be learning how to make ice-cream in this class? That would come in handy then the ice-cream machine wouldn't be so burdened, though I do suppose it likes the company." IIIICE-CREEEEEAAAAAAMMMMM!! |
Poking his head in the door, Asher wanted to see what might be going on before entering. This was his least favorite class. Not because he didn't like it, but because he was horrible at potions. Seeing that he had at least one friend already in the room, he decided to tough it out and entered. "Good day" he said as he made his way to a table in the very back of the room. The last thing he wanted was everyone to see him messing up. It was bad enough the professor would know. As he plopped down in his seat, Asher reached for his quill and parchment. |
Finally. Sky had started to wonder what had happened to potions classes as end-of-term drew nearer. Not that this was particularly her favorite, the lack of these lessons was just odd. And when she stepped into class, she saw something just as weird, if not weirder. Professor Lafay was just sitting there twirling a vial of...... was that ice cream? between her fingers. Ugh, if they were being expected to make the stuff.... But then again, she couldn't remember a time that she'd seen the woman eating the ice cream. Hmm, maybe they were making a potion to cure those who had become oddly attached to the junk? Hopefully? "Hello, Professor," she greeted politely before taking her seat. |
Poooootions. Anya skipped toward the classroom. Her head was bobbing to an imaginary song about ice cream. "Helllllo Professor." she greeted in a voice that was nearly sing-song. She then looked around before sliding into the seat next to Elle Belle. "Helllllo Ella." she greeted in the same near singing tone. Just. Not as loud. She didn't want to distrupt anyone. |
Another potion lesson and Daichi was ready for it! He waddled inside the potion classroom because apparently he should waddle and not skip according to some people. Plus waddling was fun cause it reminded him of a duck and ducks were cute, the end~! When he entered he immediately spotted Alexa by the Professor's side asking about ice cream. Without wasting a moment, the Prefect himself walked up to them after giving the other studends a nod and BEAMED when he saw the vial. "Hello Professor Lafay, is that really ice cream? I heard her and ..is it? IS IT?!" he bounced excitedly on his feet and GASPED out loud when he heard the Gryffindor about learning how to make ice cream this lesson. "EEEEK! We're making ice cream!?" he repeated in an excited tone , completely missing the part that the Professor had not said anything and just went with what Alexa was saying. Cause as of this moment, what she said was law. BAM! He turned around and waddled over to sit at his usual seat at the front of the class room. ICE CREAM YO! |
The dungeons, the Slytherins. Lafay. They were all terrifying. Though already in sixth year, Erin still couldn't deny the fact that she'd always been scared to Professor Lafay. However after seeing what the Professor was holding, she stopped on her tracks, are those ice creams? Eh? It somehow made the Professor a little likable through Erin's eyes. Truthfully, ice cream had been a vital food this term. And if they're really making them, she'd be more than happy to listen and to jot down notes because she's so much interested with it recently. "Good day Professor Lafay," she greeted with a smile eyeing what is on her hand. |
Potions. Nigel was learning to appreciate the science that was potion making. Plus you can make such awesome stuff like Felix Felicis. But that is for a master to make. "Hello Professor" he greeted her calmly before taking a seat. Time for Potions |
Minerva stood by the dungeon door. She was so terrified she was shaking to go into this class. She hadn't seen Lafay since.. Shaking the thoughts out of her head and trembled more she looked at Ethan. Maybe she shouldn't have come, she should have went to the kitchen and got ice cream instead. "Ice cream after this..please." She said to Ethan quietly before walking into the classroom. She knew he hated the ice cream and she knew she promised to try, but trying was out the window once she was in here. shuffle..shuffle Okay it was time to get in the room. One more deep breath and she hurried not the room. No eye contact.. none.. and NO HUGS!!! As she entered she looked up and saw something in the professors hand. She froze as she thought she knew what is was. No.. it was not her wonderful ice cream that she had everyday for so many days in melted form again. She felt tears trying to fight out already, but pushed them back. No she was seeing things.. It wasn't ice cream. She wouldn't torture in class, would she? Stopping and turning towards Lafay, but keeping her eyes low, "H...hello Professor." shaky her voice was horribly shaky. She rocked onto her heels a few times from hyper nerves as she screamed at her legs to move away from Fire starting, hair burning, crazy creepy potions lady. Finally turning and forgetting to breath Min gasped for air and looked at her usual front seat work place. She had always sat there since her first term, but there was no way in hell she was sitting that close to the professor today. Almost running |
Tobias was still in high spirits, as he always was, and so had cheerfully made his way to the dungeons for the potions lesson. As he entered the room, he spotted the professor at the front and beamed and waved at her. "Hi Professor!" he greeted her cheerfully, before taking a seat close enough to the front of the room that he could see, as opposed to being stuck too near the back where he'd be stuck behind taller students. With a smile still on his face, Tobias swung his legs energetically under the desk and waited for the class to start. Then he eyed the vial. "Whatcha got there, Professor?" Toby asked curiously, raising his hand as he spoke, just in case. |
This was the last place Ethan wanted to be today. And to be honest, he probably would have just skipped class.. he felt like he knew enough to do well on his Potions NEWTs without taking this one last class and he wanted to be nowhere near that evil woman who assisted in traumatizing both him and his girlfriend in the dungeons during recent times. But Minerva felt the need to attend class today and he would stand beside her, knowing that she wanted to be here even less than he did. He walked with her silently through the dungeons, knowing what was going through both their minds and not feeling the need to voice their thoughts. Hearing her small voice next to him before the entered the classroom, he stopped then turned to her. So many conflicted thoughts ran through his mind. He knew that there was something wrong with it.. but he also knew the horrors they had experienced and how comforting it was to her.. and that she was trying so hard for him. "Just a little, okay?" he managed a weak smile before turning towards the door again. Taking a deep breath, he followed in behind her, not making eye contact with anyone else in the room. The Prefect paused briefly at Lafay's desk. There was no way he was going to be disrespectful, not wanting to think about what would happen if he were, so he quickly made eye contact and said, "Hello Professor." He couldn't help but to glance at what was in her hands.. was it melted ice cream?! He pushed the horrifying thoughts from his mind the best he could and quickly turned away, briskly walking towards his usual workstation.. oh. Where was Minerva? Ethan took a quick, summary sweep of the room, finding her in the back and he headed her way, sliding into the seat next to her. |
Potions was always cool for Wade. You know, getting into the making and the uses for it. Walking into the class, the last thing he expected was to smell.. Ice cream. Blinking a few moments as he saw the vial in Professor Lafay's hands and the wonderful smell that escaped it. That would explain the smile on his face. "Hello, Professor." Wade greeted, before he went towards his usual seating area in the middle. He also gave a few nods and smiles to his friends on the way before dropping his bag near his area. |
Kace was ready to take on potions. It wasn't his strongest subject but hey he might as well go and learn something from the class. As he made his way into the dungeons and opened the classroom doors, he noticed that the professor had a vile of ice cream opened. He smiled at her and smelt it. It smelled really good...... Kace said, "Hello Professor. How are you doing today?" he might as well use his manners. He gripped his back and went to the front to grab a seat. As he sat down he wondered what they would be doing today. He knew it had to do something with ice cream...... |
Quote:
"Hi Professor!" she said, walking past the professor and her vial of-WAS THAT ICE CREAM! She was so happy she nearly walked past Kace. "Oh! Hi Kace. May I sit here?" Marigold wanted more ice cream already. |
West had been looking forward to potions, almost more than any other class at the moment because for some reason it was kind of a stress relief to make stuff, to get all into the ingredients and the process and everything. He'd hardly call himself a potioneer, and he didn't have any particular desire to be one, but he was a good student at least, and he did enjoy it so here he was on time and everything. "Hello Professor Lafay." West greeted his head of house politely and took his spot nearish to the front of the room. |
Time for potions class. Penelope was never sure whether to dread this class - for something other than just being a class - or somewhat look forward to it. She still didn't seem too bad at this class since it didn't require a whole lot of spells, so she didn't dread it as much as those sorts. So she did offer Professor Lafay a polite smile as she entered and greeted her, "Hello, Professor." She only briefly glanced at the vial in the professor's hands then went on her way to an empty seat towards the back of the room. |
Annabeth arrived at the Potions Class figuring that she was late. It was a nice surprise to see that the class hadn't began yet. She looked for a place to sit near to the teacher, in front of the class. Luckyly she found a place near that boy called West. She sat and took from inside her bag a piece of parchment, a quill and her wand. Put them on the table. Then she looked at the teacher and said: "Hello, Professor Hecate!" She grinned. Professor Hecate was so kind with her in her office that it would be impossible not grin at the teacher. "How are your little girl?" Professor was twisting a vial of icecream in her hands. Annabeth didn't like icecream so much and was bothered with all that icecream-talk which was invading Hogwarts like a viruses. All they wanted to talk about was icecream. It got her nervous! It would be the last straw if professor Hecate teach us the icecream formula!, she thought. |
Yay. Potions. Despite the class being one that Mo normally enjoyed, he was decided underwhelmed today. It probably had to do with Minerva looking so peaked about the class, or about there being no Cat in his life at this moment, or just because Lafay was a major moodkiller. She just was. Regardless, he gave the professor a polite nod before choosing an empty seat in the middle of the room. "Good day, Professor." Maybe there was a snack for everyone? |
Potions. Definitely not high on Alice's list of enjoyable classes, but no where near Muggle Studies at the nap time end. Even if she had been vomited on last year. So it was still kind of bearable. The vial in Lafay's hands went unnoticed as she found a seat in the middle of the room next to Cactus and set her things down. "Hi professor." |
The thing about Lafay was that being Slytherin Head of House immediately qualified her as awesome. In fact, most awesome of all Professors like ever. All of that was to say that Caterina had absolutely no qualms about attending her class. Nope. She smiled and greeted the woman properly. "Hello Professor." Did they all sound like parrots? Oh well. Cat made eyes at Alice as she claimed the other seat next to Mo. Mo sandwich. |
Potions time! Dylan was HERE. As he entered the Potions lab, he didn't really pay much attention to his classmates or peers. Why would he? Total eyes on the prize and everything. All the Slytherin could really focus on was getting his head into the game for his possible last potions lesson at Hogwarts. It was almost time to say goodbye. Parking himself at a workstation, Dylan went about getting things out. No, he didn't catch the vial of ice cream in Professor Lafay's hands. If he had, the Captain might have actually vomited... Anyway..."Professor." |
Having hastily finished off his bowl of ice cream, Alec finally bounded down towards the Potions classroom. He wasn't as excited about this class as he would have been for, say, Arithmancy or Astronomy but this was Potions. It wasn't bad, yeah? You just follow the instructions and try not to upset Lafay by doing anything weird like complimenting her on her hair. Ruffling his own hair, Alec entered the classroom and looked over towards Lafay who... was twisting a vial of something between her fingers. Deciding against asking, the sixteen year old just gave the woman a small grin and said, "Hello Professor!" before heading off to find a seat right... near... Ravenclaw!Funny Dude. And Alec had no idea why but this just felt like a good idea. Nodnod. He gave the boy a small smile and let his bag drop to the floor before turning his attention to the front again. |
Potions. The great thing about this lesson was that it was close to the common room. She had been dreading long walks. Not that she was lazy or anything. But she's been doing a lot of exercise for DADA and it was enough. She entered the classroom and peeked in. Good, not late. Stepping in she looked around taking in the faces of the people around. Just out of habit. Then walked further in, "Good day Profesor Lafay," Was that ice-cream? Not saying more, the blond proceeded in and slid into a seat. |
Theo's tummy felt a bit dodgy today. Hmm... He traipsed into the classroom and let out a sigh as he flopped down into an empty seat. Without paying any attention to anyone or anything about the room, he said, "Hi, Professor Lafay." GRrrmgumblr... SHH TUM TUM. |
